Information about these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part
of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and
disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating
and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of
applications specified. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any
future owner.

Proper use
This appliance is intended exclusively for the weighing of foodstuffs in private
households. It is not intended for commercial or industrial applications.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by failure to
observe these instructions, improper use, incompetent repairs, unauthorised
modifications or for the use of non-approved replacement parts.

Unpacking
♦ Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the box.
♦
Remove all packaging material.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness
and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance for the entire
duration of the warranty period so that the appliance can be packed
properly for return shipment in the event of a warranty claim.

Safety
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and
above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided
that they are under supervision or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
► Do not allow children to use the appliance as a plaything.
► Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried
out by children unless they are supervised.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► When inserting the batteries, ensure that the polarity is
correct. Do not use any force to insert the batteries.
► Never place more than 5000 grams or 5200 grams (tare)
on the scales.
► Ensure that no liquids can get into the scales.
► Avoid contact with solvents and with corrosive or abrasive
cleansing agents!
► Always use the scales on a flat and solid surface.
► Do not expose the scales to high temperatures or magnetic
fields.
► Avoid electrostatic charges and discharges. These can cause
erroneous displays and/or the sudden deactivation of the
scales.

INFORMATION ON USING BATTERIES
This appliance uses batteries. When handling batteries,
please observe the following:
RISK OF EXPLOSION!
► Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge batteries.
► Never open batteries and never solder or weld batteries.
There is a risk of explosion and injury!
► Check the condition of the batteries at regular intervals.
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the appliance.
► If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended
period, remove the batteries.
► If the batteries have leaked, use protective gloves. Clean the
battery compartment and the battery contacts with a dry
cloth.
► Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might
put batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a battery is
swallowed, medical assistance must be sought immediately.

1) Turn the scales over and place them on a soft underlay to avoid scratching
the surface.
2) Open the battery compartment .
3) Remove the battery separation strips by pulling them out.
4) Reinsert the batteries if necessary and then close the battery compartment .

Inserting/replacing the scales batteries
NOTE
Insert one lithium button cell battery Type CR 2032 into the battery compartment !
1) Turn the scales over and place them on a soft underlay to avoid scratching
the surface.
2) Open the battery compartment .
3) Remove the old battery if inserted. Use a pointed object
to lever the battery out of the compartment.

Weighing items
1) Press the zero button . The display shows “0”, the unit of measurement set
and the symbol.
2) If you want to change the unit system, press the shift button for the unit
system on the rear of the scales . You can change between the metric unit
system (litres, millilitres) and the Anglo-American unit system (ounces, fluid
ounces).
3) If you wish to change the unit system, press the mode button as often as
necessary until the required unit system is shown in the display . You can
select between:

5) Read the weight off. If you do not want to weigh any further items, remove
the weighed items from the scales.
6) If you want to add further items to be weighed, proceed as described in the
section "Adding further items (tare function)".

Adding further items (tare function)
The tare function is useful if you wish to weigh the foodstuffs in a container but do
not wish to weigh the container itself.
■ Press the zero button . Place the empty container on the scales and press
the zero button again. The scales indicate a weight of “0” grams again.
■ Depending on the weight of the container (initial weight) the function and the
symbol display on the kitchen scales changes.

If the maximum weight capacity is exceeded, the scales will show "Err"
on the display .
Switching the scales off
■ Press and hold the zero button to switch the scales off.
■ The scales switches off automatically after around 2 minutes if…
– you do not press any buttons,
– you do not place any items on the scales,
– you do not remove any items from the scales.
Cleaning and care
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE
Damage to the appliance!
► To avoid irreparable damage to the appliance, ensure that no moisture can
get into the appliance during cleaning.
► Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners, nor pointed or scratchy objects
to clean the appliance's surfaces.
■ Wipe the scaleswith a damp cloth. For stubborn soiling, add a little mild
detergent to the cloth.

Storage/disposal
Storage
Store the appliance in a clean and dry location. Remove the batteries before
long periods of non-use.
Disposal of the appliance
Never dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2012/19/EU-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal company or your municipal
waste facility. Please comply with all applicable regulations. Please contact your
waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt.
Batteries should not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
For this reason, you should always remove the batteries from the appliance before disposing of it. Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of (rechargeable)
batteries at a collection point in their community/city district or at a retail store.
This obligation is intended to ensure that batteries are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. Only dispose of batteries when they are fully
discharged.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are
not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep your
original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance and
the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault and its time
of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced
by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a
new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also
applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at
the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out
after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend
to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as switches,
batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or
improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that
are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be
avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The
warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force
and modifications/repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorised
Service centres.

To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:

proof of purchase.
▯ You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on the front page of
the instructions (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the appliance.
▯ If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed
either by telephone or by e-mail.
▯ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address
that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till
receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.

Gratulálunk új készüléke megvásárlásához.
Vásárlásával kiváló minőségű termék mellett döntött. A használati útmutató a ter-
mék része. Fontos tudnivalókat tartalmaz a biztonságra, használatra és ártalmatlanításra vonatkozóan. A termék használata előtt ismerkedjen meg valamennyi
használati és biztonsági utasítással. Csak a leírtak szerint és a megadott célokra
használja a készüléket. A készülék harmadik személynek történő továbbadása
esetén adja át a készülékhez tartozó valamennyi leírást is.

Kicsomagolás
♦ Vegye ki a dobozból a készülék valamennyi részét és a használati útmutatót.

Távolítsa el az összes csomagolóanyagot.
A csomagolás ártalmatlanítása
A csomagolás védi a készüléket a sérülésektől a szállítás során. A csomagolóanyagokat környezetbarát és hulladék ártalmatlanítási szempontok szerint
választottuk ki és ezért újrahasznosíthatók.
Nyersanyagot takarít meg és csökkenti a hulladékmennyiséget, ha a csomagolást
visszajuttatja a nyersanyag-körforgásba. A feleslegessé vált csomagolóanyagokat
a hatályos helyi előírásoknak megfelelően helyezze el a hulladékban.
TUDNIVALÓ
► Amennyiben lehetséges, őrizze meg az eredeti csomagolást a garancia
ideje alatt, hogy garanciális javítás esetén a készüléket megfelelően be

Biztonság
FIGYELMEZTETÉS! SÉRÜLÉSVESZÉLY!
► A készüléket 8 éves kor feletti gyermekek és csökkent fizikai,
érzékszervi vagy szellemi képességű vagy tapasztalattal,
illetve ismeretekkel nem rendelkező személyek felügyelet
mellett használhatják, vagy ha felvilágosították őket a készülék biztonságos használatáról és megértették az ebből
eredő veszélyeket.
► Gyermekek nem játszhatnak a készülékkel.
► Tisztítást és a felhasználó által végzendő karbantartást
felügyelet nélküli gyermekek nem végezhetnek.
FIGYELEM - ANYAGI KÁR!
► Az elemek behelyezésekor ügyeljen a helyes polaritásra és
ne erőltesse az elemeket.
► Soha ne tegyen 5000 grammnál, ill. 5200 grammnál többet
a mérlegre.
► Ügyeljen arra, hogy ne kerüljön folyadék a mérlegbe.
► Ne hagyja, hogy a mérleg oldószerekkel és egyéb maró
vagy súroló hatású tisztítószerekkel érintkezzen.
► A mérleget mindig egyenletes és stabil felületen állítsa fel.
► Ne tegye ki a mérleget magas hőmérsékletnek vagy mágneses
mezőknek.
► Kerülje az elektrosztatikus feltöltődést, illetve kisütést. Ellen-
kező esetben hibás lehet a kijelzés vagy a mérleg hirtelen
kikapcsolhat.

TUDNIVALÓ AZ ELEMEK KEZELÉSÉRŐL
Ez a készülék elemmel működik. Az elemek kezelésére
vonatkozóan vegye figyelembe az alábbiakat:
ROBBANÁSVESZÉLY!
► Ne dobjon elemet a tűzbe. Ne töltse fel az elemeket.
► Soha ne nyissa fel, ne forrassza és ne hegessze az elemeket.
Ez robbanás- és sérülésveszélyes!
► Rendszeresen ellenőrizze az elemeket. A kifolyó elemsav
kárt okozhat a készülékben.
► Ha a készüléket hosszabb ideig nem használja, vegye ki
belőle az elemet.
► Ha kifolyik az elemsav, vegyen fel védőkesztyűt. Az elem-
rekeszt és az elemek érintkezéseit csak száraz kendővel
tisztítsa.
► Ne engedje, hogy elemek gyermekek kezébe kerüljenek.
Előfordulhat, hogy gyermekek a szájukba veszik és lenyelik
az elemeket. Ha valaki lenyeli az elemet, azonnal orvoshoz
kell fordulni.

Előkészítés
1) Fordítsa meg a mérleget és tegye puha felületre, hogy a felület ne karcolódjon meg.
2) Nyissa ki az elemrekeszt .
3) Az elem-leválasztócsík lehúzása révén távolítsa el a leválasztócsíkot.
4) Tegye be az elemeket és zárja le az elemrekeszt . A mérleg ezzel üzemkész.
A mérleg elemeinek behelyezése / cseréje
TUDNIVALÓ
Mindig csak egy darab CR2032 típusú lítium gombelemet helyezzen az
elemrekeszbe !
1) Fordítsa meg a mérleget és tegye puha felületre, hogy a felület ne karcolódjon
meg.
2) Nyissa ki az elemrekeszt .
3) Ha már van benne elem, akkor vegye ki a régi elemet. Az elem kiemeléséhez
használjon egy hegyes tárgyat
pl. tollat.

4) Helyezzen be egy CR2032 típusú gombelemet. Tolja az elem egyik oldalát
az elem-stég alá
Ügyeljen a készüléken megadott pólusokra.
5) Csukja be az elemrekeszt .
TUDNIVALÓ
► Ha a mérleg elemei gyengék, akkor a kijelzőn „Lo“ jelenik meg.
Cserélje ki az elemet.
. Nyomja le az elemet, amíg hallhatóan be nem kattan.

Állítsa a mérleget sima és csúszásmentes felületre.

észüléknek csúszásmentes lábai vannak. Mivel a bútorok felületei
különböző anyagokból készülnek, amiket különböző tisztítószerekkel
kezelnek, nem zárható ki teljesen, hogy ezen anyagok némelyike olyan
komponenseket tartalmaz, amelyek kárt tehetnek a lábakban vagy feláztatják azokat. Esetleg tegyen csúszásmentes alátétet a lábak alá.
Használat
Mérendő élelmiszer mérése
1) Érintse meg a nulla gombot . A kijelzőn megjelenik a „0“, a beállított
mértékegység és a szimbólum.
2) Ha mértékegységrendszert szeretne váltani, akkor érintse meg a mértékegységrendszer átállítógombot gombot a készülék hátoldalán. A metrikus
(liter, milliméter) rendszerről az angolszász mértékegységrendszerre (uncia,
folyadék-uncia) válthat.
3) Ha szeretne átváltani a mértékegységek között, akkor nyomja meg annyiszor az üzemmód gombot , amíg a kijelzőn meg nem jelenik a kívánt
mértékegység. Az alábbiak közül választhat:

Mérendő élelmiszer hozzámérése (tára funkció)
A tára funkció abban az esetben hasznos, ha a mérendő élelmiszereket egy
tálban, de nem együtt szeretné lemérni.
■ Nyomja meg a nulla gombot . Tegye az üres tálat a mérlegre és nyomja
meg még egyszer a nulla gombot . A mérleg ismét „0“ grammot mutat.
■ A tál súlyától függően (kiindulási súly) változik a konyhai mérleg funkciója
és szimbólum-kijelzése.
Ha a tál súlya (kiindulási súly) kevesebb, mint 200 gramm, akkor a
kijelzőn a
