Congratulations on the purchase of your new product.
You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions

are part of this product. They contain important information on safety,
usage and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself
with all operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as
described and for the specified areas of application. Retain these
instructions for future reference. Please also pass on these operating
instructions to any future owner.

Safety instructions

This section contains important safety instructions for using the
product. Improper use may result in personal injury and property
damage. To ensure safe operation of the product, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:

■ Before use, check the headphones for visible external damage.

Do not operate headphones that are damaged or have been
dropped.

■ Protect the cable against damage, for example caused by sharp

edges, hot areas, clamping or crushing.

■ If the cables or connections are damaged, have them replaced

by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service department.

■ Children and persons incapable of operating the headphones

safely due to their physical, intellectual or motor abilities must only
use them under the supervision or direction of a responsible adult.
Permit children to use the headphones only under supervision.

■

DANGER! Do not allow children to play with the packaging

material! Keep all packaging materials away from children.

Risk of suffocation!

■ Repairs to the headphones may only be carried out by author-

ised specialist personnel or by the Customer Service department.
Improper repairs may put the user at risk. It will also invalidate
any warranty claims.

■ Repairs to the headphones during the warranty period may only

be carried out by a Customer Service department authorised by
the manufacturer, otherwise no additional warranty claims can
be considered for subsequent damages.

■ Defective components must always be replaced with original

replacement parts. Compliance with the safety requirements can
only be guaranteed by using these replacement parts.

■ Do not carry out any unauthorised reconstruction or customisa-

tion to the headphones.

■ Protect the headphones from moisture and penetration by liquids.

DANGER! Do not operate or place the headphones close to

open flames (e.g. candles).

Risk of hearing damage

DANGER

Risks due to extremely high sound levels!

Loud music can lead to hearing damage.

► Avoid extreme sound levels, especially over long periods of

time, when you are using these headphones.

Risk of accidents

DANGER

Danger due to impaired perception!

► Acoustic warning and indication signals and ambient noise

can sound different when you are wearing these head­phones. Make yourself aware of how these signals deviate
in their sound so that you can recognise the signals in the
appropriate situations.

► Do not use the headphones while driving a vehicle, riding a

bicycle, operating machinery or in any other situation in which
impaired perception of ambient noise could put you or other
people in danger. Please also observe the statutory provisions
and regulations of the country in which you are using the
headphones.

Commissioning

Package contents (see fold-out page)

The scope of delivery includes the following components:

▯ Headphones 1 with pre-fitted ear cushions (medium size 2)
▯ Cable retainer 3
▯ 2 pairs of ear cushions (small 4 and large 5)
▯ Storage box 6
▯ These operating instructions (not shown)

NOTE

► Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible

damage.

► If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a

result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the
Service hotline (see section Service).

Disposal of packaging materials

The packaging protects the headphones from transport damage.

Returning the packaging into the material cycle conserves
raw materials and reduces the amount of waste generated.
Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed

in accordance with applicable local regulations.

Operation

Using the cable retainer

You can use the cable retainer when storing the headphones 1 to
save space and protect the headphones.

■ Place the earphones in the recesses on the cable retainer and

feed the cable through the recess.

■ Wind the cable in a clockwise direction around the cable retainer.

Finally, place the jack plug into the corresponding recess on the
cable retainer.

Connecting headphones

The headphones 1 are equipped with a 3.5 mm jack. Many elec­tronic entertainment devices have a corresponding headphone socket.
If your audio device has been equipped with a different headphone
connector, you may need to use a suitable adapter (not supplied).

Inserting the headphones

■ When putting on the headphones 1, pay attention to the side

indicators “R” (right) and “L” (left) on the earpieces.

■ Push one of the earpieces 1 into the ear canal. In order to

straighten the ear channel somewhat and therefore make the
headphone easier to insert, pull the ear backwards and upwards
a little.

■ Proceed in the same way to insert the other earpiece 1.

Replacing the ear cushions

The headphones 1 are pre-fitted with the medium-sized ear cush­ions 2 on delivery. Depending on the size of your ear, you can use
ear cushions (4 or 5) of a different size from those supplied. The
ear cushions (4 or 5) can be found in the storage box 6 under
the cable retainer.

NOTE

► The better the ear cushion seals off the ear canal, the better the

sound quality, particularly at lower frequencies.

■ Use your fingers to carefully pull on the ear cushions 2 to detach

them from the headphones 1 (see fig. 1).

■ Select suitable ear cushions (4 or 5) from those that are supplied.

Push these directly onto the headphones 1 until they slip into the
recesses on the headphones 1 (see fig. 2).

Cleaning

CAUTION

► Do not allow any liquids to get into the headphones 1.

This could cause irreparable damage to them.

■ Clean the headphones 1 with a slightly damp cloth.

■ Remove the ear cushions (2, 4 or 5) for cleaning. Clean the

ear cushions under running water. Dry the ear cushions properly.
Do not push the ear cushions back onto the headphones 1 until
they are properly dry.

Storage when not in use

■ Store the headphones 1 in the storage box 6 in a dry, dust-free

location.

Troubleshooting

Fault causes and rectification

The following table will help you to identify and rectify minor mal­functions:

Faults

- No sound is coming from the headphones 1.

Cause/remedy

- The playback device is not switched on or playback has not started.
Switch on the connected playback appliance and/or start playback.

- The volume control of the playback device is set to the minimum
volume. Increase the playback volume.

- The 3.5 mm jack is not fully inserted into the playback device’s head­phone socket. Push the 3.5 mm jack all the way into the socket.

Faults

- Sound is coming only from one side of the headphones 1.

Cause/remedy

- The 3.5 mm jack is not fully inserted into the playback device’s head­phone socket. Push the 3.5 mm jack all the way into the socket.

- The stereo balance control on the playback device is incorrectly adjust­ed. Adjust it to the setting you desire.

NOTE

► If the malfunction cannot be remedied with the described

solution proposals or if other types of malfunctions occur
please contact our service department (see section Service).

Disposal

The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin means
that this appliance is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This

directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of in
the normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be
handed over to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots
or disposal companies.

This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the
environment and dispose of this appliance properly.

You can obtain further information from your local disposal company
or the city or local authority.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase.

If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory
rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the war­ranty described below.

Warranty conditions

The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase.
Please keep your original receipt in a safe place. This document will
be required as proof of purchase.

If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date
of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product
for you at our discretion. This warranty service is dependent on you
presenting the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt)
and a short written description of the fault and its time of occurrence.

If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be
repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product
does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory claims for defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the
warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components.
Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be
reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expi­ry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quali­ty guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty
does not extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear
or fragile parts such as switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts
made of glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, im­properly used or improperly maintained. The directions in the operat­ing instructions for the product regarding proper use of the product are
to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the
operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided.

This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial
purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or
improper handling, use of force and modifications / repairs which
have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.

Warranty claim procedure

To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the follow­ing instructions:

■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN

12345) available as proof of purchase.

■ You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on

the front page of the instructions (bottom left), or as a sticker on
the rear or bottom of the appliance.

■ If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service

department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.

■ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the ser-

vice address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose
the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the
defect is and when it occurred.

Indicaţii de siguranţă

În acest capitol sunt cuprinse indicaţii importante privind siguranţa în
manipularea produsului. Utilizarea necorespunzătoare a aparatului
poate provoca rănirea persoanelor și pagube materiale. Respectaţi
următoarele indicaţii de siguranţă pentru o manipulare sigură a aces­tui produs:

■ Înainte de utilizare verificaţi căștile în privinţa eventualelor defec-

ţiuni exterioare vizibile. Nu utilizaţi căștile dacă sunt defecte sau
dacă au căzut pe jos.

■ Protejaţi cablul de deteriorările provocate, de exemplu, de margi-

nile ascuţite, suprafeţele fierbinţi, prindere sau strivire.

■ Cablurile sau conexiunile defecte trebuie înlocuite de către un

specialist autorizat sau de către serviciul pentru clienţi.

■ Persoanele și copiii care din cauza capacităţilor fizice, psihice

sau motorii limitate nu pot folosi în siguranţă căștile, le pot utiliza
numai sub supravegherea sau la indicaţiile unei persoane respon­sabile. Copiii pot utiliza căștile numai dacă sunt supravegheaţi.

■

PERICOL! Materialele de ambalare nu sunt jucării! Păstraţi

toate materialele de ambalare departe de accesul copiilor.

Există pericol de asfixiere!

■ Repararea căștilor este permisă numai personalului de specialitate

autorizat sau tehnicienilor de la serviciul pentru clienţi. În urma
reparaţiilor necorespunzătoare pot apărea pericole pentru utiliza­torul aparatului. În plus, se pierde garanţia.

■ În perioada de garanţie, lucrările de reparaţie a căștilor trebuie

efectuate numai de către serviciul pentru clienţi autorizat de produ­cătorul aparatului. În caz contrar, nu va mai fi acordată garanţia
pentru defecţiunile ulterioare.

■ Componentele defecte trebuie înlocuite numai cu piese de schimb

originale. Numai prin utilizarea acestor componente se asigură
respectarea cerinţelor de siguranţă.

■ Nu efectuaţi transformări neautorizate sau modificări la căști.

■ Protejaţi căștile împotriva umezelii și infiltrării lichidelor.

► Când utilizaţi căștile, evitaţi volumul sonor extrem, în special

pe durată îndelungată.

► Semnalele de indicare și avertizare acustice, precum și

zgomotele din jur pot suna altfel atunci când purtaţi căștile.
Conștientizaţi sunetul diferit al acestor semnale pentru a le
putea recunoaște în situaţiile corespunzătoare.

► Nu utilizaţi căștile în timp ce conduceţi autovehicule, în timpul

mersului cu bicicleta, la operarea utilajelor sau în alte situaţii
în care capacitatea diminuată de percepţie a semnalelor din
mediul înconjurător ar putea să vă pună în pericol pe dvs. sau
pe alţii. Respectaţi, de asemenea, prevederile și reglementările
legale naţionale atunci când utilizaţi căștile.

Punerea în funcţiune

Furnitura (a se vedea pagina pliată)

Furnitura conţine următoarele componente:

▯ Căști 1 cu perniţe premontate pentru urechi (mărime medie 2)
▯ Mosor cablu 3
▯ 2 perechi perniţe pentru urechi (mici 4 și mari 5)
▯ Cutie de depozitare 6
▯ Prezentele instrucţiuni de utilizare (fără imagine)

INDICAŢIE

► Verificaţi dacă furnitura este completă și dacă prezintă

deteriorări vizibile.

► În cazul în care furnitura este incompletă sau componen-

tele sunt deteriorate din cauza ambalajului precar sau a
transportului, apelaţi linia telefonică directă de service (a se
vedea capitolul Service-ul).

Eliminarea ambalajului

Ambalajul protejează căștile împotriva deteriorărilor în timpul trans­portului.

Reintroducerea ambalajelor în circuitul de materiale contribu­ie la economia de materie primă și reduce cantitatea de

deșeuri.
Eliminaţi materialele de ambalare de care nu mai aveţi nevoie con­form prevederilor locale în vigoare.

Deservirea

Utilizarea mosorului pentru cablu

Cu ajutorul mosorului pentru
cablu puteţi depozita căștile 1 în cazul neutilizării acestora
într-un spaţiu redus și protejate.

■ Așezaţi căștile intraauriculare în orificiile mosorului pentru cablu și

ghidaţi cablul prin orificiu.

■ Înfășuraţi cablul în sens orar pe mosorul pentru cablu.

La final, introduceţi fișa jack în orificiul corespunzător al mosorului
pentru cablu.

Racordarea căștilor

Căștile 1 sunt echipate cu o fișă jack de 3,5 mm. Multe aparate
electronice sunt dotate cu ieșire corespunzătoare pentru căști. Dacă
aparatul dvs. audio are un alt tip de ieșire pentru căști, folosiţi, even­tual, un adaptor potrivit (nu este inclus în furnitură).
