Proper assembly and safe use of your vacuum cleaner are your responsibilities. Your vacuum
cleaner is intended only for household use. The vacuum cleaner should be stored in a dry,
indoor area. Read the Operating Instructions carefully for important use and safety
information.
Special care is required when vacuuming certain types of carpet or floor covering. Always
check the carpet or floor covering manufacturer's recommended cleaning instructions before
vacuuming.

Never vacuum damp or wet surfaces or liquids.
DO NOT store vacuum cleaner outdoors.
Replace worn or frayed power cord immediately.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
TO AVOID ACCIDENTS
Except for hand-held cleaners, keep vacuum cleaner on floor - not chairs, tables, steps, stairs, etc.
Store vacuum cleaner promptly after each use to prevent accidents such as tripping over power cord or vac-
uum cleaner.
Use vacuum cleaner and accessories only in a manner intended by the manufacturer.
The use of an extension cord is not recommended.

When using your vacuum cleaner, basic precautions should always be followed
Read all instructions in this manual before assembling or using your vacuum cleaner.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, injury:
1. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended
attachments.
2. DO NOT leave vacuum cleaner plugged in when not in use. Unplug from outlet when
not in use and before servicing.
3. To reduce the risk of fire, or electric shock – DO NOT use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
4. DO NOT allow vacuum cleaner to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when
used by or near children.
5. DO NOT use with damaged cord or plug. If vacuum cleaner is not working as it should, or
if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to an
Authorized Panasonic Servicenter.
6. DO NOT pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away
from heated surfaces.
7. DO NOT unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
8. DO NOT handle plug or vacuum cleaner with wet hands.
9. DO NOT put any objects into openings.
10. DO NOT use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may
reduce air flow.
11. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving
parts.
12. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
13. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Do not put on chairs, tables, etc. Keep on floor.
14. DO NOT use vacuum cleaner to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as
gasoline or use in areas where they may be present. The fumes from these substances
can create a fire hazard or explosion.
15. DO NOT pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot
ashes.
16. DO NOT use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
17. Unplug before connecting Air Turbine (if applicable).
18. The hose contains electrical wires. DO NOT use when damaged, cut, or punctured.
Replace if cut or worn. Avoid picking up sharp objects.
19. Always turn off vacuum cleaner before connecting or disconnecting the hose, Air Turbine
(if applicable) or nozzle.
20. Hold plug when rewinding onto cord reel. DO NOT allow plug to whip when rewinding.
21. You are responsible for making sure that your vacuum cleaner is not used by anyone
unable to operate it properly.
22. DO NOT operate vacuum cleaner without the exhaust filter or exhaust filter door in place
(If applicable).

ASSEMBLY
Insert wands into POWER NOZZLE
until the wand button snaps into
place.
Connect POWER NOZZLE plug and
cord as shown.
Do not force.
Raised area of plug must face
toward hand.
If hard to install, turn the plug over
and try again.
To Remove:
Disconnect POWER NOZZLE plug
and cord.
Press wand quick release pedal.
Pull wands out of POWER NOZZLE.
Slide wands together until wand
button snaps into place.
Turn wand button to slotted area of
wand swivel.
