Test Details:
Tested by Intertek, Korea, according to LG internal testing method.
•Test conducted, three times at temperature of 27±2°C and humidity of 60±10%
•Test used two chambers size 33m3 and 19m3 connected by a channel made of white sheet,
small chamber assumed to be outside (“outside chamber”) and the large chamber to be inside with the LG air conditioner (“inside chamber”)
•One person is placed inside the chamber to attract mosquitoes
•For each test, 50 lab cultured 3-5 days old mosquitoes were released into outside chamber;
number of mosquitoes coming into the inside chamber was counted every 10 minutes for 90 minutes under 2 settings:
-Control setting (low fan on + mosquito repelling ultrasonic on)
-Treatment setting (low fan on + mosquito repelling ultrasonic off)
Test Result:
Foundtorepelonaverage72.5%ofAedesaegyptimosquitoes.Repelrateshowspercentageofmosquitoes prevented from entering the inside chamber after 90 minutes of Treatment setting compared to Control setting.
Represented average of 72.5% derived from 73.1%, 64.3%, 80.0%.
Results may vary in other settings, including but not limited to temperature, humidity, location, space, mosquito species, number of mosquitoes, number of persons, and operation time.
