2.1 Safety Information

2.1.1 Disassemble and Modification

Do not modify this product, as a fire, electrical shock, or breakdown could result. If the product employs a laser, the laser beam source could cause blindness.
Do not attempt to remove the covers and panels which have been fixed to the product. Some products have a high-voltage part or a laser beam source inside that could cause an electrical shock or blindness.

2.1.2 Power Cord

Use only the power cord supplied in the package. If a power cord is not supplied, only use the power cord and plug that is specified in POWER CORD INSTRUCTION. Failure to use this cord could result in a fire or electrical shock.
Use the power cord supplied in the package only for this machine and NEVER use it for any other product. Failure to observe this precaution could result in a fire or electrical shock.
Do not scratch, abrade, place a heavy object on, heat, twist, bend, pull on, or damage the power cord. Use of a damaged power cord (exposed core wire, broken wire, etc.) could result in a fire or breakdown. Should any of these conditions be found, immediately turn OFF the power switch, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, and then call your authorized service representative.

2.1.3 Power Source

Do not use the power source voltage other than being specified on the machine. Failure to do that could result in a fire or electrical shock.
Do not use a multiple outlet adapter to connect any other appliances or machines. Use of a power outlet for more than the marked current value could result in a fire or electrical shock.
Do not use an extension cord in principle. Use of an extension cord could cause a fire or electrical shock. Contact your authorized service representative if an extension cord is required.
The outlet must be near the equipment and easily accessible. Otherwise you can not pull out the power plug when an emergency occurs.

2.1.9 Consumables

Do not throw the toner bottle or toner into an open flame. The hot toner may scatter and cause burns or other damage.
Do not leave toner-related parts (toner bottles or PC drum units) within easy reach of children. Licking any of these parts or ingesting toner could damage your health.
Do not store toner-related parts (developing units) near devices susceptible to magnetism, such as precision equipment and data storage devices, otherwise they may malfunction.
Do not force open the toner-related parts (toner bottles). If toner tumbles from the toner bottle, take utmost care to avoid inhaling it or even getting skin contact.
If toner lands on your skin or clothing, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
If you inhale toner, move to a place with fresh air and gargle with a lot of water repeatedly. Should you get symptoms such as coughing, seek medical advice.

2.1.11 When Using the Machine

If you use an implantable medical equipment (cardiac pacemaker, etc.), do not bring the IC card reader close from the implant within 12 cm at all times. The radio waves may affect implantable medical equipment (cardiac pacemaker, etc.) operations.
This machine generates a weak magnetic field. If you experience any unusual symptoms with your implantable medical equipment (cardiac pacemaker, etc.) while near the machine, move away from the machine and see a doctor immediately.
2-6 bizhub PRESS C1100/C1085
2.1 Safety Information
When using the machine, do not look at the light of the lamp for a prolonged time. Eyestrain could result.

2.1.12 Before Successive Holidays

Unplug the product when you will not use the product for long periods of time.

Do not use stapled paper, conductive paper (such as silver paper or carbon paper) or treated heat-sensitive/inkjet paper, otherwise a fire may result.
2

2.1.14 Glue Pellet

Do not put glue pellets close to fire. Glue pellets are flammable and easy to catch on fire.
Do not swallow glue pellets. Should you swallow any, drink large amount of water or milk to vomit, and immediately consult a doctor.
Keep out of reach of children in order to avoid unexpected accidents.

2.1.15 Perfect Binder

Do not use the perfect binder without ventilation for an extended period of time. Ensure to ventilate the room on a regular basis. It is recommended that the perfect binder should be installed in a place with a local exhaust system. Using the perfect binder in a room without appropriate ventilation could pose health hazard.
Handle melted hot glue carefully. If it gets in the eye, do not rub nor tray to open the eye, but cool it with cold water immediately and consult a doctor.

2
Do not get close to the vapor emitted from melted hot glue. If you have irritation in or around your eyes, nose or throat, move to an area where you can get fresh air.
Do not block up the vent for the fan on the back of the perfect binder. This will prevent the discharge of heat, and may cause fire or breakdown.
Do not change the temperature setting for the glue tank unit. This may cause fire or breakdown.

2.1.16 Image Controller IC-308/IC-310

Never lift the IC-308/IC-310 by grasping the top panel. The top panel does not support the weight of the system.
The IC-308/IC-310 touch panel is a liquid crystal display (LCD) that is made of glass and can break. Do not subject it to strong shocks. If the IC-308/IC-310 touch panel breaks and the liquid crystal material leaks out, do not inhale, ingest, or touch it. If the material gets on your skin or clothing, wash it off with soap and water immediately.
Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the IC-308/IC-310. This may result in a fire or electrical shock.
Safety Information
2.1
Do not keep using theIC-308/IC-310 if the IC-308/IC-310 becomes inordinately hot, emits smoke, unusual odor, or noise. Immediately turn off the power switch, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, and call your authorized service representative.
