instructions are a constituent of this product. They contain important
information with regard to safety, use and disposal. Before using the
product, familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions.
Use this device only as described and only for the specifi ed areas of
application. Retain these instructions for future reference. Please also
pass these operating instructions on to any future owner(s).

Intended use
The loudspeaker is designed exclusively for connection to a PC, a
notebook, or an audio device* (e.g. MP3 player) using a 3.5 mm
jack plug. This device is exclusively for private use, and is not intended
for industrial or commercial purposes. The device is not intended for
any other use or for uses extending beyond those stated. Claims of
any kind for damage arising as a result of non-intended use will not
be accepted. The user is the sole bearer of the risk.
* If the loudspeaker is to be connected to a device without a USB
connection, an external power supply with USB output is required
(not included in delivery).
Safety
This section provides you with important safety information regarding
the handling of the device. The device complies with the statutory
safety regulations. Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and
property damage.

Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the device, follow the safety information below:
■ Check device for visible external damage before use. Do not use
devices that have been damaged or dropped.
■ Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by the
Customer Service department.
■ Always grasp the connection cable by the plug. Do not pull on
the power cable itself!
■ Do not place any objects, furniture or similar on the connection
cable and make sure that the cable is not trapped.

■ Never make a knot in the connection cable and do not bind it
together with other cables. The power cable should be routed
so that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
■ This device is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with limited physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or lack
of experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a
person who is responsible for their safety, or receive instructions
from this person on how to use the device.
■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the device.
■ Only have repairs carried out by authorised specialist companies
or the Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose
signifi cant risks to the user. Warranty claims also become void.
■ Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be
carried out by a customer service department authorised by the
manufacturer. Otherwise no additional warranty claims can be
considered for subsequent damage.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original
replacement parts. It can only be guaranteed that safety requirements are complied with if original replacement parts are used.
■ Never attempt to open the device. There are no parts which can
be cleaned or maintained inside the device. Do not perform any
modifi cations or changes to the device yourself.
■ Never operate the device in the vicinity of naked fl ames, and do
not place candles on or next to the device.
■ Protect the device from moisture, spray and dripping water and
the penetration of liquids. Do not place objects containing liquid
(e.g. fl ower vases) on or near the device.
■ If liquid penetrates the device, switch it off , disconnect it from
the power supply and have it inspected by qualifi ed specialists
before using it again.
■ If the device is moved from cold to warm surroundings, wait for
approx. 2 hours until the device has reached the ambient temperature before switching it on.
■ If you are using a USB power supply, the mains socket used must
always be easily accessible so that the USB power supply can
be quickly disconnected from the socket in a hazardous situation.

Check the contents for completeness and for signs of visible

► If the contents are incomplete or damaged due to defective
packaging or through transportation, contact the Service
Hotline (see chapter Service).
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage.
The packaging materials have been selected in accordance with
their environmental friendliness and disposal attributes, and are
therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material cycle
saves raw materials and reduces the amount of waste
generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no
longer needed in accordance with applicable local
regulations.
NOTE
If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty
►
period so that the device can be properly packed for returning
in the event of a warranty claim.

Fitting the support feet

♦ Slide the support feet 7 onto the loudspeaker guide rails from
behind 6 (see fi g. 1).

Installation site requirements
For safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the installation site
must fulfi l the following requirements:
■ The device must be placed on a fi rm, fl at and level surface.
■ Do not place the device in a hot, wet or extremely moist environ-
ment or in the vicinity of fl ammable materials.
■ Place the device so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight, strong
artifi cial light or heated air.

Handling and use
This section provides you with important information on handling and
using the device.
System requirements
▯ Computer with sound card and USB connection
or
▯ audio device with audio output (3.5 mm jack plug) and USB
connection (alternatively with external USB power supply).
Connecting the loudspeaker
♦ Ensure that the rotary switch 4 is in the “OFF” position.
♦ Plug the 3.5 mm jack plug 8 into the line out or headphone
socket of your audio device (e.g. notebook, MP3 player).
The audio signals are transmitted via this connection.
♦ Plug the USB plug 9 into a USB socket of your audio device
(alternatively into the USB socket of an external USB power

supply). The power supply for the loudspeaker
via this connection.
NOTE
► The loudspeakers 6 do not work without a USB connection!
Switching on/off and adjusting the volume
♦ Turn the rotary switch 4 clockwise until a click is heard in
order to switch the loudspeakers
♦ Turn the rotary switch 4 further in a clockwise direction to
increase the volume.
♦ Turn the rotary switch 4 anticlockwise to decrease the volume.
♦ Turn the rotary switch 4 anticlockwise until a click is heard
(OFF position) in order to switch the loudspeakers

switch the loudspeaker 6 light on.

Connecting headphones
NOTE

► The headphone output is passive, which means that the volume

► Avoid extremely loud sound levels, especially over
long periods of time, when you are using head-
phones.
♦ Ensure that the rotary switch 4 is in the OFF position.
♦ Insert the 3.5 mm jack plug of the headphones into the head-
phone socket 5.
♦ Before placing the headphones on your head, switch the loud-
speaker 6 on again and carefully increase the volume.
As soon as you connect the headphones, the loudspeakers 6
will be muted.

volume is specifi ed by the computer or audio device. Please
note that headphones may only be connected if the audio device
has the necessary standard volume limitation applied to its
output. Please refer to your audio device instruction manual for
more information.

Fault rectifi cation
This section contains important information on fault localisation and
rectifi cation. Observe the instructions in order to avoid risks and
damage.
Malfunction causes and remedies
CAUTION
The loudspeakers may not be opened!
► There are no parts which can be cleaned or maintained inside
the device. Opening the loudspeakers will result in irreparable
damage to the device.
The following table will help with localising and remedying minor

► To avoid irreparable damage, ensure that no moisture
penetrates the device during cleaning.
■ Clean the housing of the device with a lightly moistened cloth
and a mild detergent only.

Store the device in a dry environment.
Disposal of the device
Do not dispose of the device in the normal
domestic waste. This product is subject to
the provisions of European Directive
2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the device via an approved disposal centre
or at your community waste facility. Please observe
the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt,
please contact your waste disposal centre.

Użytkowanie zgodne z przeznaczeniem
Głośniki zostały zaprojektowane wyłącznie do podłączenia ich do
komputera PC, notebooka lub urządzenia audio* (np. odtwarzacze MP3) za pomocą wtyku mini-jack 3,5 mm. Urządzenie to jest
przeznaczone wyłącznie do użytku prywatnego, a nie do celów
przemysłowych ani komercyjnych. Inne lub wykraczające poza
powyższe użytkowanie uznaje się za niezgodne z przeznaczeniem.
Wszelkie roszczenia z tytułu szkód wynikających z użytkowania
niezgodnego z przeznaczeniem są wykluczone. Ryzyko ponosi
wyłącznie użytkownik.
* Jeśli głośniki mają być podłączone do urządzenia bez złącza

Podstawowe zasady bezpieczeństwa
Mając na uwadze bezpieczne użytkowanie urządzenia, przestrzegaj
następujących instrukcji bezpieczeństwa:
■ Przed przystąpieniem do użytkowania sprawdź, czy urządzenie
nie jest nigdzie uszkodzone. Nie uruchamiaj uszkodzonego ani
upuszczonego urządzenia.
■ W razie uszkodzenia kabla lub złączy zwróć się do działu obsługi
klienta i poproś o wymianę urządzenia.
■ Kabel przyłączeniowy chwytaj zawsze za wtyczkę. Nie ciągnij
za sam kabel.
■ Nigdy nie stawiaj na kablach przyłączeniowych żadnych przed-
miotów, mebli itp. i dopilnuj, by nie zostały one zakleszczone.

■ Nigdy nie rób na kablach przyłączeniowych supłów ani nie wiąż
ich razem z innymi kablami. Kabel sieciowy układaj w taki sposób,
aby nikt nie mógł na niego nadepnąć ani się o niego potknąć.
■ Opisywane urządzenie nie jest przeznaczone do obsługi przez

osoby (w tym również dzieci) o ograniczonych zdolnościach
fi zycznych, sensorycznych lub umysłowych lub nieposiadające
wystarczającego doświadczenia i/lub wiedzy; chyba że będą

■ Nie można pozwolić dzieciom na zabawę urządzeniem.
■ Naprawy urządzenia zlecaj wyłącznie autoryzowanym serwi-
som lub obsłudze klienta. Nieprawidłowo wykonane naprawy
mogą powodować poważne zagrożenie dla użytkownika.
Ponadto, w takim przypadku gwarancja wygasa.
■ Naprawy urządzenia w okresie trwania gwarancji zlecaj wyłącz-
nie autoryzowanym serwisom, ponieważ w przeciwnym razie
przy kolejnych usterkach produktu nie będzie przysługiwać
roszczenie z tytułu gwarancji.
■ Uszkodzone elementy wymieniaj zawsze na oryginalne części
zamienne. Tylko te części gwarantują odpowiednie bezpieczeństwo użytkowania urządzenia.
■ Nie próbuj otwierać urządzenia. Wewnątrz urządzenia nie znaj-
dują się żadne elementy wymagające czyszczenia ani konserwacji. Nie próbuj dokonywać przeróbek ani zmian w urządzeniu.
■ Nie korzystaj z urządzenia w pobliżu otwartego ognia i nie
ustawiaj na lub obok urządzenia zapalonych świec.
■ Chroń urządzenie przed wilgocią, rozpryskiwaną i kapiąca wodą
oraz przedostaniem się do środka płynów. Na urządzeniu ani
obok niego nie stawiaj żadnych przedmiotów wypełnionych wodą,
takich jak na przykład wazony.
■ W przypadku przedostania się cieczy do wnętrza urządzenia,
wyłącz urządzenie, odłącz zasilanie i zanim zostanie ono ponownie użyte, zleć jego sprawdzenie specjaliście.
■ Po zmianie otoczenia z zimnego na ciepłe poczekaj przed
włączeniem urządzenia, aż osiągnie ono temperaturę otoczenia
(około 2 godziny).
■ W przypadku korzystania z zasilacza USB, gniazdo zasilania
musi być zawsze łatwo dostępne, aby w sytuacji awaryjnej,
zasilacz USB można było szybko wyjąć z gniazda.

W trosce o ochronę środowiska, wszystkie zastosowane elementy
opakowania nadają się do ponownego przetworzenia.
Zwracanie opakowania do obiegu materiałów oszczę-
dza surowce naturalne i zmniejsza zanieczyszczenie
odpadami. Zbędne materiały opakowania utylizuj
zgodnie z obowiązującymi przepisami.

W celu zapewnienia bezpiecznej i bezusterkowej pracy urządzenia,
miejsce ustawienia musi spełniać następujące wymagania:

Obsługa i praca
W niniejszym rozdziale podano ważne wskazówki dotyczące obsługi
i użytkowania urządzenia.
Wymagania systemowe
▯ Komputer z kartą dźwiękową i złączem USB
lub
▯ urządzenie audio z wyjściem audio (gniazdo mini-jack 3,5 mm)
oraz złącze USB (alternatywnie z zewnętrznym zasilaczem USB).
Podłączenie kolumn głośnikowych
♦ Upewnij się, że przełącznik obrotowy 4 znajduje się w
położeniu „OFF”.
♦ Podłącz wtyk mini-jack 3,5 mm 8 do gniazda Line-Out lub
gniazda słuchawkowego w urządzeniu audio (np. notebook,
odtwarzacz MP3). Za pośrednictwem tego złącza przesyłane
są sygnały dźwiękowe.
♦ Podłącz wtyczkę USB 9 do gniazda USB urządzenia audio
(alternatywnie do gniazda USB zewnętrznego zasilacza USB).
To połączenie zapewnia zasilanie głośników 6.
WSKAZÓWKA
Bez połączenia USB głośniki 6 nie będą działać!

Włączanie/wyłączanie oraz regulacja głośności
♦ Aby włączyć głośniki 6, obróć przełącznik obrotowy 4
w prawo, aż słyszalne będzie pstryknięcie.
♦ Obracaj pokrętłem przełącznika 4 dalej w prawo, by
zwiększyć głośność.
♦ Obracaj pokrętłem przełącznika 4 w lewo, by zmniejszyć
głośność.
♦ Aby wyłączyć głośniki 6, obróć przełącznik obrotowy 4
w lewo, aż słyszalne będzie pstryknięcie (położenie OFF).

■ Versuchen Sie nicht das Gerät zu öff nen. Es befi nden sich keine
zu reinigenden oder zu wartenden Teile innerhalb des Gerätes.
Nehmen Sie keine eigenmächtigen Umbauten oder Veränderungen
am Gerät vor.
■ Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von off enen Flammen
und stellen Sie keine Kerzen auf oder neben das Gerät.
■ Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit, Spritz- und Tropfwasser
und dem Eindringen von Flüssigkeiten. Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände (z.B. Vasen) auf oder neben das Gerät.
■ Wenn Flüssigkeit in das Gerät eingedrungen ist, schalten Sie das
Gerät aus, trennen Sie die Stromversorgung und lassen es von
qualifi ziertem Fachpersonal überprüfen, bevor Sie es wieder in
Betrieb nehmen.
■ Warten Sie nach dem Wechsel von kalter in warmer Umgebung
mit dem Einschalten, bis das Gerät die Umgebungstemperatur
angenommen hat (ca. 2 Stunden).
■ Bei Verwendung eines USB-Netzteils muss die verwendete Steck-
dose immer leicht zugänglich sein, damit in einer Gefahrensituation
das USB-Netzteil schnell aus der Steckdose entfernt werden kann.

Anforderungen an den Aufstellort
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes muss der
Aufstellort folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
■ Das Gerät muss auf einer festen, fl achen und waagerechten
Unterlage aufgestellt werden.
■ Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in einer heißen, nassen oder sehr feuchten
Umgebung oder in der Nähe von brennbarem Material auf.
■ Stellen Sie das Gerät so auf, dass es nicht direkter Sonnenein-
strahlung, starkem Kunstlicht und Heizungsluft ausgesetzt wird.

Bedienung und Betrieb
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung und
Betrieb des Gerätes.
Systemanforderungen
▯ Computer mit Soundkarte und USB-Anschluss
oder
▯ Audio-Gerät mit Audio-Ausgang (3,5 mm-Klinkenbuchse) und
USB-Anschluss (alternativ mit externem USB-Netzteil).
Lautsprecher anschließen
♦ Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Drehschalter 4 in der Position
„OFF“ steht.
♦ Stecken Sie den 3,5 mm-Klinkenstecker 8 in die Line-Out-
oder Kopfhörer-Buchse Ihres Audio-Gerätes (z.B. Notebook,
MP3-Player). Über diesen Anschluss werden die Tonsignale
übertragen.
♦ Stecken Sie den USB-Stecker 9 in eine USB-Buchse Ihres
Audio-Gerätes (alternativ in die USB-Buchse eines externen
USB-Netzteils). Über diese Verbindung wird die Spannungsversorgung der Lautsprecher

♦ Drehen Sie den Drehschalter 4 im Uhrzeigersinn, bis ein
Knacken hörbar ist, um die Lautsprecher 6 einzuschalten.
♦ Drehen Sie den Drehschalter 4 weiter im Uhrzeigersinn, um
die Lautstärke zu erhöhen.
♦ Drehen Sie den Drehschalter 4 gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, um
die Lautstärke zu verringern.
♦ Drehen Sie den Drehschalter 4 gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis
ein Knacken hörbar ist (Position OFF), um die Lautsprecher 6
auszuschalten.

cher 6 wieder ein und erhöhen vorsichtig die Lautstärke.
Sobald Sie einen Kopfhörer anschließen, werden die Lautsprecher 6 stumm geschaltet.
Lautstärkeregelung ist über den Drehschalter
