Basic safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:
■ Check the appliance for visible external damage before use.
Do not operate a appliance that has been damaged or
dropped.
■ If the appliance's mains power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer
service department or by a qualified technician so that risks
can be avoided.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and
above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided
that they are under supervision or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
Children must not use the appliance as a plaything. Cleaning
and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children
unless they are supervised.
■ Children younger than three years old should be kept away
from the appliance unless they are constantly monitored.
■ Children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age may
only switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised

■ Always unplug the appliance from the mains power socket
before cleaning.
■ Always disconnect the power cable from the mains power
socket by pulling on the plug; never pull on the cable.
■ Avoid using extension cables.
■ Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of naked flames.
■ The appliance must not be placed immediately under or over
a mains power socket.
■ Do not use this heater together with a programmable switch,
a timer, a separate remote control system or any other system
which switches on the heater automatically, as this could lead

■ Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket if the appli-
ance malfunctions and also during thunderstorms.
■ The appliance must not be used in the immediate vicinity of

Risk of injury if batteries are improperly handled
WARNING
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might

put batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a
battery has been swallowed, seek medical assistance
IMMEDIATELY.
► Do not throw batteries into a fire. Never subject batteries
to high temperatures.
► Risk of explosion! Do not charge batteries unless they
are explicitly labelled as "rechargeable".
► Do not open the batteries or short-circuit them.
► Do not mix different types of batteries. Due to increased
risk of leakage, empty batteries should be removed.
The batteries should also be removed from the remote
control if it is not being used for long periods.
► Battery acid leaking from a battery can cause skin ir-
ritation. In the event of contact with the skin, rinse with
plenty of water. If the liquid comes into contact with your
eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, do not rub and consult
a doctor immediately.

Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste which is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

Set-up location requirements
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the set-up location must fulfil
the following requirements:
■ The appliance may only be operated in a vertical position and fully assembled.
■ When using the feet, the device must be placed on a firm, flat and even floor.
■ When wall mounting, the appliance must only be mounted in a fixed position on
a vertical wall.
■ The minimum clearances between the housing and other objects must be main-
tained: 10 cm at the sides, 30 cm above, 15 cm below (with wall mounting) and
50 cm in front.
■ Ensure that air can always enter and escape freely. Otherwise, there could be a
heat build-up in the appliance.
■ Do not place the appliance in a hot, wet or extremely moist environment or in the
vicinity of flammable materials.
■ The mains power socket must be easily accessible so that the power cable can
be easily disconnected in an emergency.
■ Environmental temperature range: 0 to +40°C
■ Humidity (no condensation): 5–85%

There is a risk of fire if the heating elements come into contact
with flammable materials!
► Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of curtains and other flammable
materials.

Before initial use
■ Remove all packaging materials and all transport locks from the appliance.
NOTE
You may notice a slight smell when using the appliance for the first time.

This is normal and is completely harmless.
Electrical connection
To ensure safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance after making the
electrical connection, please observe the following advice:
CAUTION
► Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage
and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your mains power supply.
These data must agree so that no damage is sustained by the appliance.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not damaged and is not running over
hot surfaces and/or sharp edges.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not taut or knotted.

If the battery in the remote control 25 is dead, a new CR2032 battery needs to
be inserted.

► During assembly, lay the appliance on a soft surface, e.g. on a carpet, to
avoid any damage.

Set heating time
The appliance has a timer that you can use to set the desired heating time between
1 to 24 hours. Once this period is over, the appliance switches off automatically.

Overheating protection
The appliance is fitted with a thermostat-controlled overheating protector. If the
appliance becomes too hot internally, the heating element switches off automatically. As soon as the appliance has cooled down, the heating element switches

► Check that the appliance can sufficiently dissipate the heat generated: Is

Cleaning
WARNING

Disposing of the batteries
Defective or dead batteries must be recycled according to Directive 2006/66/EC.
Do not dispose of the batteries in the domestic waste. Batteries can contain poisons which are damaging to the environment. Therefore, dispose of the batteries
in accordance with applicable statutory regulations.
Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries at a collection point
in their town/district or at a retail store. This obligation is intended to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
Dispose of batteries only when they are fully discharged.

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are
not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep your
original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance and
the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault and its time
of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced
by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a
new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also
applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at
the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out
after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines

The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend
to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as switches,

The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or

regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that

This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The

Määräystenmukainen käyttö
Tämä laite on tarkoitettu vain suljettujen tilojen lämmittämiseen ja ainoastaan

Jännitteen alaisiin johtoihin tai rakennusosiin koskettaessa on
► Älä käytä laitetta, jos verkkoliitäntäjohto tai pistoke on vaurioitunut.
► Anna valtuutetun ammattihenkilöstön asentaa uusi verkkoliitäntäjohto ennen
laitteen käytön jatkamista.
► Älä missään tapauksessa avaa laitteen koteloa. Jännitettä johtaviin liitäntöihin
koskeminen sekä sähköisen ja mekaanisen rakenteen muuttaminen voi
aiheuttaa sähköiskun.

Tärkeitä turvallisuusohjeita
Huomioi seuraavat laitteen turvallista käyttöä koskevat ohjeet:
■ Tarkasta laite näkyvien vaurioiden varalta ennen laitteen
käyttöönottoa. Älä käytä vaurioitunutta tai maahan pudonnutta laitetta.
■ Jos laitteen verkkojohto on vaurioitunut, sen saa vahinkojen
välttämiseksi vaihtaa uuteen vain valmistaja, valmistajan
valtuuttama huoltoliike tai muu vastaavan pätevyyden
omaava henkilö..
■ Kahdeksan vuotta täyttäneet lapset sekä henkilöt, joiden
fyysiset, aistimukselliset tai henkiset kyvyt ovat rajalliset, tai
joilla ei ole riittävää kokemusta tai tietoa laitteen käytöstä,
saavat käyttää laitetta vain valvonnan alaisena, tai jos heitä
on opastettu laitteen turvalliseen käyttöön, ja he ovat ymmärtäneet laitteen käyttöön liittyvät vaarat. Lapset eivät saa
leikkiä laitteella. Lapset eivät saa suorittaa puhdistusta ja
käyttäjähuoltoa ilman valvontaa.
■ Alle 3-vuotiaat lapset on pidettävä loitolla laitteesta, paitsi
jos heitä valvotaan jatkuvasti.
■ 3 vuotta täyttäneet ja alle 8-vuotiaat lapset saavat kytkeä
laitteen päälle ja pois päältä vain, jos heitä valvotaan tai
heitä on opastettu laitteen turvalliseen käyttöön ja he ovat
ymmärtäneet laitteen käytöstä aiheutuvat vaarat, edellyttäen,
että laite on sijoitettu tai asennettu normaaliin käyttöasentoonsa.
■ 3 vuotta täyttäneet ja alle 8-vuotiaat lapset eivät saa työntää
pistoketta pistorasiaan, säätää laitetta, puhdistaa laitetta ja/
tai suorittaa käyttäjähuoltoa.
■ Lapsia on valvottava ja on varmistettava, etteivät he pääse
leikkimään laitteella.
■ Varo – Jotkut tuotteen osat voivat kuumentua huomattavasti
ja aiheuttaa palovammoja. On toimittava erityisen varovasti,
jos läsnä on lapsia tai valvontaa vaativia henkilöitä.
■ Laitteen metalliosat voivat kuumentua. Koske siksi vain laitteen
kantokahvoihin

■ Korjauta laite ainoastaan valtuutetussa alan liikkeessä tai
huoltoliikkeessä. Virheelliset korjaukset voivat aiheuttaa
huomattavan vaaran käyttäjälle. Tällöin myös laitteen takuu
raukeaa.
■ Laitteen vialliset osat saa vaihtaa vain alkuperäisvaraosiin.
Turvallisuusvaatimusten täyttyminen on taattua vain näiden
osien kohdalla.
■ Suojaa laitetta kosteudelta ja nesteiden pääsyltä laitteeseen.
■ Irrota pistoke pistorasiasta ennen jokaista puhdistuskertaa.
■ Irrota virtajohto pistorasiasta aina verkkopistokkeesta
vetämällä, älä vedä virtajohdosta.
■ Vältä jatkojohtojen käyttöä.
■ Älä käytä laitetta avotulen lähellä.
■ Älä sijoita laitetta välittömästi seinäpistorasian ala- tai ylä-
puolelle.
■ Tätä lämmityslaitetta ei saa käyttää ohjelmoitavan kytkimen,
aikakytkimen, erillisen kauko-ohjausjärjestelmän tai jonkin
muun sellaisen laitteen kanssa, joka kytkee lämmityslaitteen
automaattisesti päälle, sillä on olemassa palovaara, jos
lämmityslaite on peitetty tai väärin sijoitettu.
■ Vedä pistoke pistorasiasta häiriötilanteissa ja ukonilmalla.
■ Laitetta ei saa käyttää kylpyammeen, suihkun tai uima-altaan
lähellä.
■ Sijoita laite siten, etteivät kylpyammeessa tai suihkussa olevat
henkilöt pääse koskemaan kytkintä tai muita säätimiä.
■ Älä altista laitetta roiske- ja/tai tippuvedelle, äläkä aseta
mitään vedellä täytettyjä esineitä, kuten maljakoita tai
avoimia juoma-astioita, laitteen päälle tai sen viereen.

Paristojen vääränlaiseen käsittelyyn liittyvä
tapaturmavaara
VAROITUS
Varmista, etteivät paristot päädy lasten käsiin. Lapset
►
saattavat laittaa paristot suuhunsa ja niellä ne. Jos pa-
risto on joutunut nieluun, hakeudu välittömästi lääkärin
hoitoon.
► Älä heitä paristoja tuleen. Älä altista paristoja korkeille
lämpötiloille.
► Räjähdysvaara! Ainoastaan paristoja, joissa on merkintä
”uudelleen ladattava”, saa ladata uudelleen.
► Älä avaa tai oikosulje paristoja.
► Erilaisia paristo- ja akkutyyppejä ei saa käyttää sekaisin.
Tyhjät paristot on poistettava lisääntyneen vuotovaaran
vuoksi. Paristot on poistettava kaukosäätimestä myös
silloin, kun laitetta ei käytetä.
► Paristosta valuva happo saattaa ärsyttää ihoa. Jos
happoa joutuu iholle, huuhtele kohta runsaalla vedellä.
Jos nestettä on päässyt silmiin, huuhtele silmät runsaalla
vedellä, mutta älä hiero. Hakeudu välittömästi lääkärin
hoitoon.
