You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part of
this product. They contain important information on safety, usage and disposal.
Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all handling and safety guidelines. Use the product only as described and for the range of applications specified. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future owner(s).

Intended use
This appliance is intended only for the heating of indoor living spaces and only
for domestic use. This device can be used free standing or mounted on a wall.
This appliance is not intended for use in areas where special conditions may
apply, such as corrosive or potentially explosive atmospheres (dust, vapour or
gas). Do not use the appliance outdoors. It is not intended for any other or more
extensive use.
Claims of any kind for damage arising as a result of incorrect use will not be
accepted. The risk shall be borne solely by the user.

Safety
In this section, you will find important safety instructions for using the appliance.
This appliance complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use may
result in personal injury and property damage.
Risk of electrocution

Contact with live cables or components can result in fatal
injury!
Please observe the following safety guidelines to prevent electrical hazards:
► Do not use the appliance if the power cable or the plug are damaged.
► Before using the appliance again, have a new mains power cable installed
by an authorised specialist.
► The appliance housing must not be opened under any circumstances. There
is a risk of electric shock if live connections are touched and the electrical
and mechanical structure is changed.
Do not cover the appliance!
Covering the appliance can lead to overheating and
thus result in a fire!

Basic safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:
■ Check the appliance for visible external damage before use.
Do not operate a appliance that has been damaged or
dropped.
■ If the appliance's mains power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer
service department or by a qualified technician so that risks
can be avoided.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and
above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided
that they are under supervision or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
Children must not use the appliance as a plaything. Cleaning
and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children
unless they are supervised.
■ Children younger than three years old should be kept away
from the appliance unless they are constantly monitored.
■ Children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age may
only switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised
or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers, provided that the appliance
is located or installed in its normal operating position.
■ Children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age may
not plug in, regulate or clean the appliance and may not
carry out user maintenance tasks.
■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
■ Caution – some parts of the product may be very hot and
cause burns. Be particularly careful when children and
vulnerable persons are present.

Therefore, only hold the appliance by the handles

panies or by the Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose significant risks to the user. It will also invalidate any warranty claims.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original
replacement parts. Only by using original replacement parts
can it be assured that the safety requirements are being complied with.
■ Protect the appliance from penetration by moisture and liquids.
■ Always unplug the appliance from the mains power socket
before cleaning.
■ Always disconnect the power cable from the mains power
socket by pulling on the plug; never pull on the cable.
■ Avoid using extension cables.
■ Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of naked flames.
■ The appliance must not be placed immediately under or over
a mains power socket.
■ Do not use this heater together with a programmable switch,
a timer, a separate remote control system or any other system
which switches on the heater automatically, as this could lead
to a fire risk if the heater is covered or set up incorrectly.
■ Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket if the appli-
ance malfunctions and also during thunderstorms.
■ The appliance must not be used in the immediate vicinity of
a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
■ The appliance is to be installed so that a person in the bath
or shower is unable to touch the switch and other controls.
■ Do not expose the appliance to spray and/or dripping water
and do not place any objects filled with liquid, such as vases
or open drink containers, on or near the appliance.

Risk of injury if batteries are improperly handled
WARNING
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might
►
put batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a
battery has been swallowed, seek medical assistance
IMMEDIATELY.
► Do not throw batteries into a fire. Never subject batteries
to high temperatures.
► Risk of explosion! Do not charge batteries unless they
are explicitly labelled as "rechargeable".
► Do not open the batteries or short-circuit them.
► Do not mix different types of batteries. Due to increased
risk of leakage, empty batteries should be removed.
The batteries should also be removed from the remote
control if it is not being used for long periods.
► Battery acid leaking from a battery can cause skin ir-
ritation. In the event of contact with the skin, rinse with
plenty of water. If the liquid comes into contact with your
eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, do not rub and consult
a doctor immediately.

► When handling leaking batteries, always use coated
gloves and protective goggles!
► The chapter entitled "Initial operation" describes how to
correctly insert and remove batteries.

Package contents and transport inspection
The appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:

NOTE
► Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
► If any items are missing or damaged as a result of defective packaging or
insufficient care during transportation, contact the Service hotline (see the
chapter Service).
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste which is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

NOTE
► If possible, keep the appliance's original packaging for the warranty period
so that the appliance can be packed properly for return shipment in the
event of a warranty claim.

Set-up location requirements
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the set-up location must fulfil
the following requirements:
■ The appliance may only be operated in a vertical position and fully assembled.
■ When using the feet, the device must be placed on a firm, flat and even floor.
■ When wall mounting, the appliance must only be mounted in a fixed position on
a vertical wall.
■ The minimum clearances between the housing and other objects must be main-
tained: 10 cm at the sides, 30 cm above, 15 cm below (with wall mounting) and
50 cm in front.
■ Ensure that air can always enter and escape freely. Otherwise, there could be a
heat build-up in the appliance.
■ Do not place the appliance in a hot, wet or extremely moist environment or in the
vicinity of flammable materials.
■ The mains power socket must be easily accessible so that the power cable can
be easily disconnected in an emergency.
■ Environmental temperature range: 0 to +40°C
■ Humidity (no condensation): 5–85%

Fire risk due to contact with materials!
There is a risk of fire if the heating elements come into contact
with flammable materials!
► Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of curtains and other flammable
materials.
► Do not allow flammable materials (i.e. textiles) to come into contact with
the appliance.
► Do not cover the appliance.

Before initial use
■ Remove all packaging materials and all transport locks from the appliance.
NOTE
You may notice a slight smell when using the appliance for the first time.

This is normal and is completely harmless.
Electrical connection
To ensure safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance after making the
electrical connection, please observe the following advice:
CAUTION
► Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage
and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your mains power supply.
These data must agree so that no damage is sustained by the appliance.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not damaged and is not running over
hot surfaces and/or sharp edges.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not taut or knotted.
Inserting the batteries in the remote control
If the battery in the remote control 25 is dead, a new CR2032 battery needs to
be inserted.

Installation
CAUTION
► During assembly, lay the appliance on a soft surface, e.g. on a carpet, to
avoid any damage.

Set heating time
The appliance has a timer that you can use to set the desired heating time between
1 to 24 hours. Once this period is over, the appliance switches off automatically.

Overheating protection
The appliance is fitted with a thermostat-controlled overheating protector. If the
appliance becomes too hot internally, the heating element switches off automatically. As soon as the appliance has cooled down, the heating element switches
back on.

As a general rule, there is a reason for overheating! It can
mean a risk of fire!
► Check that the appliance can sufficiently dissipate the heat generated: Is
the appliance covered or is it too close to a wall or other obstacle? Is the
fan blocked?
► Check that neither the air inlet

Cleaning
WARNING
Observe the following safety information to avoid hazards and property
damage:
► Always pull out the plug before cleaning the appliance.
► Only clean the appliance when it is switched off and cold.
CAUTION
Possible damage to the appliance.
Moisture can cause damage to the appliance.
► To avoid irreparable damage to the appliance, ensure that no moisture
gets into it during cleaning.
■ Never immerse the appliance in water and protect it from splashing or sprayed
water.
■ Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning to prevent any risk of burns.
■ Clean the housing only with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent.
■ Remove dust deposits on the protective screen with a vacuum cleaner.
Transport and storage
■ Always carry the appliance using its carrying handles 9.
■ Disconnect the mains power plug if you do not intend to use the appliance for an
extended period of time.
■ Store the appliance in a dry environment.
Disposal
Never dispose of the appliance in normal domestic waste. This
product is subject to the provisions of the European WEEE (Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.

Disposing of the batteries
Defective or dead batteries must be recycled according to Directive 2006/66/EC.
Do not dispose of the batteries in the domestic waste. Batteries can contain poisons which are damaging to the environment. Therefore, dispose of the batteries
in accordance with applicable statutory regulations.
Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries at a collection point
in their town/district or at a retail store. This obligation is intended to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
Dispose of batteries only when they are fully discharged.
Troubleshooting
This section contains important information about fault identification and rectification.
WARNING
Observe the following safety information to avoid hazards and property damage:
► Repairs to electrical appliances should only be carried out by specialists
trained by the manufacturer. Improper repairs can cause considerable risks
to users and damage to the appliance.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are
not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep your
original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance and
the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault and its time
of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced
by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a
new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also
applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at
the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out
after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend
to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as switches,
batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or
improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that
are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be
avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The
warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force
and modifications/repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorised
Service centres.

Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
▯ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 12345) available as
proof of purchase.

Információk a jelen használati útmutatóhoz
Gratulálunk új készüléke megvásárlásához!
Vásárlásával kiváló minőségű termék mellett döntött. A használati utasítás a termék
része. Fontos tudnivalókat tartalmaz a biztonságra, használatra és ártalmatlanításra vonatkozóan. A termék használata előtt ismerkedjen meg valamennyi
használati útmutatóval és biztonsági figyelmeztetéssel. Csak a leírtak szerint és
a megadott célokra használja a készüléket. A készülék harmadik személynek
történő továbbadása esetén adja át a készülékhez tartozó valamennyi leírást is.

Rendeltetésszerű használat
A készülék csak zárt helyiségek fűtésére és csak magánjellegű használatra való.
A készüléket szabadon állva vagy a falra szerelve lehet használni. A készülék
nem alkalmas olyan helyiségekben való használatra, ahol különleges feltételek
állnak fenn, mint például korrozív vagy robbanásveszélyes légkör (por, gőz vagy
gáz). Ne használja a készüléket a szabadban. Más vagy ezen túlmenő használat rendeltetésellenesnek minősül.
Semmilyen, a nem rendeltetésszerű használatból eredő kárigény nem érvényesíthető. A kockázatot egyedül a felhasználó viseli.

Figyelmeztetések
Ebben a használati útmutatóban a következő figyelmeztető jelzéseket használjuk:

Ennek a veszélyességi fokozatnak a figyelmeztető jele fenyegető veszélyes helyzetet jelöl.
Halálhoz vagy súlyos sérüléshez vezethet, ha nem kerüli el a veszélyes helyzetet.
► A súlyos, akár halálos személyi sérülések elkerülése érdekében kövesse a
figyelmeztető jelzés szerinti utasításokat.
FIGYELMEZTETÉS
Ennek a veszélyességi fokozatnak a figyelmeztető jelzése
lehetséges veszélyhelyzetet jelöl.
Sérülést okozhat, ha nem tudja elkerülni ezeket a veszélyes helyzeteket.
► A személyi sérülések elkerülése érdekében kövesse a figyelmeztető jelzések
szerinti utasításokat.
FIGYELEM
Ennek a veszélyességi fokozatnak a figyelmeztető jelzése
lehetséges anyagi kárt jelöl.
Anyagi kárt okozhat, ha nem tudja elkerülni ezeket a helyzeteket.

Ebben a fejezetben a készülék kezelésével kapcsolatos fontos biztonsági utasításokat ismerheti meg. A készülék megfelel a biztonsági előírásoknak. A szakszerűtlen használat személyi sérülést és anyagi kárt okozhat.
Ne takarja le a készüléket!

ezáltal tűz kialakulásához vezethet!

Elektromos áramütés veszélye
VESZÉLY
Elektromos áramütés veszélye!
A feszültség alatt lévő vezetékek vagy alkatrészek megérintése
életveszélyes!
Tartsa be az alábbi biztonsági utasításokat, hogy elkerülje az elektromos
áramütés veszélyét:
► Ne használja a készüléket, ha a vezeték vagy a csatlakozó meg van
sérülve.
► A készülék további használata előtt szereltessen rá új csatlakozóvezetéket
megfelelő jogosultsággal rendelkező szakemberrel.
► Semmiképpen sem nyissa fel a készülék burkolatát. Áramütés veszélye áll
fenn, ha hozzáér a feszültség alatt álló csatlakozásokhoz, vagy megváltoz-
tatja az elektromos és mechanikus felépítést.

Alapvető biztonsági figyelmeztetések
A készülék biztonságos használata érdekében tartsa be az
alábbi biztonsági utasításokat:
■ Használat előtt ellenőrizze a készüléket, hogy nincs-e rajta
látható sérülés. Ne működtessen hibás vagy leesett készüléket.
■ Ha a készülék hálózati csatlakozóvezetéke sérült/megsérül,
akkor a veszélyek elkerülése érdekében ki kell cseréltetni a
gyártóval, a gyártó vevőszolgálatával vagy hasonló képesítéssel rendelkező személlyel.
■ A készüléket 8 éves kor feletti gyermekek és csökkent fizikai,
érzékszervi vagy mentális képességű vagy tapasztalattal,
illetve tudással nem rendelkező személyek csak felügyelet
mellett használhatják, vagy ha felvilágosították őket a készülék biztonságos használatáról és megértették az ebből
eredő veszélyeket. Gyermekek nem játszhatnak a készülékkel. Tisztítást és a felhasználó által végzendő karbantartást
felügyelet nélküli gyermekek nem végezhetnek.
■ A 3 évesnél fiatalabb gyermekek csak állandó felügyelet
mellett tartózkodhatnak a készülék közelében.
■ A rendes használati pozícióban lévő és megfelelően tele-
pített készüléket 3 és 8 év közötti gyermekek csak akkor
kapcsolhatják be vagy ki, ha felügyelet alatt állnak, vagy ha
felvilágosították őket a készülék biztonságos használatáról
és megértették az ebből eredő veszélyeket.
■ A készüléket 3 és 8 év közötti gyermekek nem csatlakoztat-
ják a hálózati csatlakozóaljzathoz, továbbá nem szabályozhatják és nem tisztíthatják a készüléket és/vagy nem végezhetnek felhasználói karbantartást.
■ Ügyeljen a gyermekekre, hogy ne játsszanak a készülékkel.
■ Vigyázat – A termék egyes elemei nagyon felforrósodhat-
nak és égési sérüléseket okozhatnak. Legyen nagyon óvatos,
ha gyermekek és védelemre szoruló személyek tartózkodnak
a közelben.

■ A készülék fémfelületei felforrósodhatnak. Ezért a készüléket
kizárólag a hordozó fogantyúnál
■ Csak megfelelő jogosultsággal rendelkező szakemberrel

fogja meg.
vagy az ügyfélszolgálattal javíttassa a készüléket. A szakszerűtlen javítás jelentős veszélyt jelenthet a felhasználó
számára. Ezenkívül a garancia is érvényét veszti.
■ A hibás alkatrészeket csak eredeti alkatrészekre szabad
cserélni. Csak ilyen alkatrészekkel garantálható, hogy azok
megfelelnek a biztonsági követelményeknek.
■ Védje a készüléket a nedvességtől és ne engedje, hogy
folyadék jusson bele.
■ Minden tisztítás előtt húzza ki a csatlakozódugót a csatlako-
zóaljzatból.
■ A hálózati csatlakozóvezetéket mindig a csatlakozónál, ne
pedig a csatlakozókábelnél fogva húzza ki a csatlakozóaljzatból.
■ Lehetőleg ne használjon hosszabbítókábelt.
■ Ne használja a készüléket nyílt láng közelében.
■ A készüléket nem szabad közvetlenül fali csatlakozóaljzat
alá vagy fölé helyezni.
■ Ez a fűtőkészülék nem használható programkapcsolóval,
időkapcsolóval, külön távirányító rendszerrel vagy olyan
más berendezéssel, ami automatikusan bekapcsolja a fűtőkészüléket, mivel ebben az esetben tűzveszély fenyeget a
készülék letakarása vagy nem megfelelő felállítása esetén.
■ Meghibásodás vagy vihar esetén húzza ki a csatlakozódu-
gót a csatlakozóaljzatból.
■ A készüléket nem szabad kád, zuhanyzó vagy úszómeden-
ce közvetlen közelében használni.
■ A készüléket úgy kell elhelyezni, hogy a kapcsolóhoz és más
szabályzóhoz ne érhessen hozzá kádban vagy a zuhanyzó
alatt lévő személy.
■ Ne hagyja, hogy víz fröccsenjen vagy csöpögjön a készü-
lékre, és ne állítson rá folyadékkal töltött tárgyat, mint például vázát vagy felnyitott italt.

Sérülésveszély az elemek nem megfelelő kezelése
esetén
FIGYELMEZTETÉS
Ne engedje, hogy elemek gyermek kezébe kerüljenek.
►
Előfordulhat, hogy gyermekek a szájukba veszik és
lenyelik az elemeket. Ha valaki lenyelné az elemeket,
azonnal orvoshoz kell fordulni.
► Az elemeket nem szabad tűzbe dobni. Az elemeket ne
tegye ki túl magas hőmérsékletnek.
► Robbanásveszély! Csak a „feltölthető“ jelzésű elemeket
szabad újratölteni.
► Az elemeket nem szabad felnyitni vagy rövidre zárni.
► Nem szabad vegyesen használni az eltérő elem-, illetve
akkutípusokat. A lemerült elemeket a fokozott kifolyás-
veszély miatt ki kell venni. A készülék használaton kívül
helyezése esetén is ki kell venni az elemeket a távirányí-
tóból.
► Az elemből kifolyó akkumulátorsav irritálhatja a bőrt.
Bőrrel érintkezve bő vízzel le kell öblíteni. Ha a folyadék
a szembe jutna, bő vízzel alaposan ki kell öblíteni, nem
szabad dörzsölni és azonnal orvoshoz kell fordulni.

► A kifolyt elem kezelése során használjon bevonattal
ellátott védőkesztyűt és védőszemüveget!
► Az elemeket az „Üzembe helyezés“ című fejezetben
foglaltak szerint kell behelyezni a készülékbe és kivenni.
