fait partie intégrante de ce produit. Il contient des remarques importantes concernant la sécurité, l'usage et la mise au rebut. Avant d'utiliser le produit, veuillez

uniquement dans un cadre privé. Cet appareil peut être monté en mural ou
installé au sol. Il n'est pas prévu pour être utilisé dans des pièces où règnent des
conditions particulières, telles qu'une atmosphère par ex. corrosive ou explosive
(poussière, vapeur ou gaz). N'utilisez pas l'appareil à l'extérieur. Tout usage
autre ou dépassant ce cadre est réputé non conforme.
Toute réclamation visant des dommages issus d'un usage non conforme sera
rejetée. L'utilisateur assume seul la responsabilité des risques encourus.

Ne pas recouvrir l'appareil!
Un appareil recouvert s'échauffe excessivement et peut
ainsi être à l'origine d'un incendie!
Attention! Surface brûlante!
Ce symbole met en garde des surfaces brûlantes de
l'appareil ! Il y a risque de brûlure !
Danger dû au courant électrique

Danger de mort en cas de contact avec des lignes ou des pièces
sous tension!
Veuillez respecter les consignes de sécurité suivantes pour ne pas vous exposer
à un risque d'électrocution:
► Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si le cordon d'alimentation ou la fiche secteur sont
endommagés.
► Avant de continuer d'utiliser l'appareil, faites remplacer le cordon d'alimen-
tation secteur par un électricien agréé.
► N'ouvrez en aucun cas le boîtier de l'appareil. Risque d'électrocution en cas
de contact avec des branchements sous tension ou de toute modification
de la structure électrique ou mécanique de l'appareil.

Consignes de sécurité fondamentales
Veuillez vous conformer aux consignes de sécurité ci-dessous
afin de garantir une utilisation en toute sécurité de l'appareil:
■ Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, vérifiez que celui-ci ne présente
aucun dégât extérieur visible. Ne mettez pas en service un
appareil endommagé ou qui a chuté.
■ Lorsque le cordon d'alimentation de cet appareil est en-
dommagé, le faire remplacer par le fabricant, son service
après-vente ou une personne qualifiée afin d'éviter tout
risque.
■ Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants à partir de
8 ans et plus et par des personnes ayant des capacités
physiques, sensorielles ou mentales réduites ou un manque
d'expérience et de connaissances, à condition d'être surveillés ou d'avoir reçu des instructions concernant I'utilisation de
I'appareil en toute sécurité et d'avoir compris les dangers qui
en résultent. Ne pas laisser les enfants jouer avec l'appareil.
Il est interdit aux enfants de nettoyer ou d'entretenir l'appareil sans surveillance.
■ Les enfants âgés de moins de 3 ans doivent être tenus à
distance à moins d'être constamment surveillés.
■ Les enfants âgés de plus 3 ans et de moins de 8 ans pour-
ront uniquement allumer et éteindre l'appareil s'ils sont surveillés ou s'ils ont reçu des instructions concernant l'utilisation
de l'appareil en toute sécurité et s'ils ont compris les dangers
qui en résultent, à condition que l'appareil soit placé ou
installé dans sa situation d'usage normale.
■ Les enfants âgés de plus de 3 ans et de moins de 8 ans ne
doivent pas insérer la fiche dans la prise secteur, ne pas
réguler l'appareil, ne pas nettoyer et/ou ne pas effectuer la
maintenance utilisateur.
■ Il faut surveiller les enfants pour être sûr qu'ils ne jouent pas
avec l'appareil.
■ Attention - Certaines pièces du produit peuvent devenir très
chaudes et provoquer des brûlures. Il faut user de précautions toutes particulières en présence d'enfants et de personnes vulnérables.

■ Les surfaces métalliques de l'appareil peuvent être brûlantes.
Par conséquent, ne saisissez l'appareil que par ses poignées
■ Confiez les réparations de l'appareil exclusivement à des
entreprises agréées ou au service après-vente. Toute réparation non conforme peut entraîner des risques importants pour
l'utilisateur. À cela s'ajoute l'annulation de la garantie.
■ Les pièces défectueuses doivent être remplacées impéra-
tivement par des pièces de rechange d'origine. Elles sont
en effet les seules à pouvoir garantir que les exigences de
sécurité seront satisfaites.
■ Protégez l'appareil de l'humidité et de la pénétration de
liquides.
■ Avant chaque nettoyage, retirez la fiche mâle de la prise
secteur.
■ Débrancher l'appareil en tirant la fiche mâle de la prise
secteur, et non pas en tirant sur le cordon.
■ Évitez l'utilisation de câbles prolongateurs.
■ Ne pas utiliser l'appareil à proximité de flammes nues.
■ Ne pas placer l'appareil directement sous une prise élec-
trique murale ou directement au-dessus.
■ Ne pas utiliser cet appareil de chauffage avec un interrup-
teur programmable, une minuterie, un système d'action à
distance, ou tout autre dispositif qui allume automatiquement
l'appareil, car il existe un risque d'incendie lorsque le chauffage est recouvert ou mal mis en place.
■ Débrancher l'appareil en cas de perturbations sur le réseau
ou par temps d'orage.
■ Ne pas faire fonctionner l'appareil à proximité immédiate
d'une baignoire, d'une douche ou d'une piscine.
■ Placer l'appareil hors de portée d'une personne se trouvant
sous la douche ou dans une baignoire (commutateur et régulateur devant rester hors d'atteinte).
■ Ne pas exposer l'appareil à des projections d'eau, ne pas
placer à proximité de l'appareil ou sur ce dernier des objets
remplis de liquide (vases, verres remplis de boissons, etc.).

Risque d'accident suite à un maniement incorrect des
piles!
ATTENTION
Conservez les piles hors de portée des enfants. Les en-
►
fants pourraient mettre les piles dans leur bouche et les
avaler. Si une pile a été avalée, il faut immédiatement
consulter un médecin.
► Ne pas jeter les piles dans le feu. Ne pas exposer les
piles à des températures élevées.
► Risque d'explosion! Seules les piles marquées comme
"rechargeables" peuvent être rechargées.
► Ne pas ouvrir les piles ou les court-circuiter.
► Les types de piles ou d'accus différents ne doivent pas
être mélangés. Les piles vides doivent être retirées en rai-
son du risque accru d'écoulement. Par ailleurs, lorsque
l'appareil ne sert pas, il faudrait sortir les piles de la
télécommande.
► L'acide qui s'échappe d'une pile peut entraîner des irri-
tations cutanées. En cas de contact avec la peau, rincer
abondamment à l'eau. En cas de contact avec les yeux,
rincer abondamment à l'eau et consulter immédiatement
un médecin.

► Lors du maniement de piles qui ont coulé, porter des
gants enduits et des lunettes de protection !
► Le chapitre "Mise en service" explique comment intro-
duire les piles dans l'appareil et comment les en retirer.

Mise en service
Contenu de la livraison et inspection après transport
L'appareil est équipé de série des composants suivants:

▯ 4 vis pour les pieds
▯ 4 supports muraux
▯ 4 chevilles avec vis pour les supports muraux

REMARQUE
► Vérifiez si la livraison est au complet et ne présente aucun dégât apparent.
► En cas de livraison incomplète ou de dommages résultant d'un emballage
défectueux ou du transport, veuillez vous adresser à la hotline du service
après-vente (cf. chapitre Service après-vente).
Élimination de l'emballage
L'emballage protège l'appareil de tous dommages éventuels au cours du
transport. Les matériaux d'emballage ont été sélectionnés selon des critères de
respect de l'environnement et de recyclage permettant une élimination écologique de ceux-ci.
Le recyclage de l'emballage en filière de revalorisation permet d'économiser des
matières premières et de réduire le volume de déchets. Veuillez éliminer les matériaux d'emballage qui ne servent plus en respectant la réglementation locale.

REMARQUE
► Si possible, conservez l'emballage d'origine pendant la période de
garantie de l'appareil afin de pouvoir emballer ce dernier en bonne et due
forme en cas de recours en garantie.

Exigences requises sur le lieu d'installation
Pour assurer un fonctionnement fiable et sans défaillances de l'appareil, le lieu
d'installation doit répondre aux conditions suivantes:
■ L'appareil ne doit être utilisé qu'en position verticale et entièrement monté.
■ Prévoir une assise au sol ferme, bien plate, horizontale pour la mise en place des
pieds.
■ Pour le montage en mural : dans un endroit défini, paroi bien verticale.
■ Prévoir un dégagement suffisant pour la mise en place du boîtier : 10 cm sur
les côtés, 30 cm vers le haut, 15 cm vers le bas (montage mural) et 50 cm vers
l’avant.
■ Veillez toujours à ce que l'air puisse entrer et sortir librement. Sans quoi une
accumulation de chaleur risque d'apparaître dans l'appareil,
■ N'installez pas l'appareil dans un environnement très chaud, mouillé ou très
humide ou à proximité de matériaux combustibles.
■ La prise électrique doit être facilement accessible afin de pouvoir débrancher
rapidement la fiche mâle en cas d'urgence.
■ Plage de température ambiante : 0 à +40°C
■ Humidité ambiante (sans condensation): 5 - 85 %

Risque d'incendie en cas de contact de l'appareil avec un maté-
riau combustible!
► Ne pas installer l'appareil à proximité de rideaux ou d'autres matériaux
combustibles.
► Évitez tout contact de l'appareil avec des matériaux combustibles (textiles
par exemple).
► Ne pas recouvrir l'appareil.

Avant la première utilisation
■ Enlever de l'appareil tous les emballages et toutes les cales de transport.
REMARQUE
Une légère odeur peut se dégager lors de la première mise en service :

ce phénomène est tout à fait normal et sans danger.
Raccordement électrique
Suivre les recommandations suivantes concernant le raccordement électrique
pour assurer le fonctionnement de l'appareil sans incidents :
ATTENTION
► Avant de raccorder l'appareil, comparez les données de raccordement
(tension et fréquence) indiquées sur la plaque signalétique avec celles de
votre secteur électrique. Ces données doivent correspondre afin de ne pas
endommager l'appareil.
► Assurez-vous que le cordon d'alimentation n'est pas endommagé, qu'il ne
repose pas sur des surfaces chaudes et/ou ne frotte pas sur des arêtes
vives.
► Veillez à ce que le cordon d'alimentation ne soit trop fortement tendu ou
replié.
Placer les piles dans la télécommande
Une fois que la pile de la télécommande 25 est vide, il faut installer une pile
neuve du type CR2032.
♦ Ouvrez le compartiment à piles
(Voir description au dos de la télécommande 25)
♦ Retirez la pile usagée de la télécommande

Montage
ATTENTION
► Pour le montage, placez l'appareil sur une surface souple, un tapis par ex.,
pour éviter toute détérioration.

AVERTISSEMENT
► Veillez en perforant à ne pas endommager de conduites électriques ou
d’autres installations telles que des conduites d’eau.
► Les chevilles
dans le béton ou la pierre. Avant de procéder au montage, veuillez impé-
rativement vérifier que l’emplacement choisi soit adapté aux chevilles 37.
En cas de doute, veuillez consulter un expert.
REMARQUE
► Au moment de choisir l’emplacement de montage, vérifiez qu’il y a une
prise électrique appropriée dans le rayon de branchement de la conduite
de raccordement.
► Il ne faut pas visser les pieds
♦ Faites un repère pour deux trous de perçage à une hauteur minimum de
487 mm, écartés de 566 mm (cf. fig. schéma de perçage).
♦ Percez maintenant à l’aide d’une perceuse et d’un foret de 8 mm les deux
trous avec une profondeur minimum de 40 mm.

Ce chapitre contient des remarques importantes sur l'utilisation et le fonctionnement de l'appareil.
Allumer et éteindre l'appareil
L'interrupteur principal 8 permet de séparer l'appareil entièrement du réseau
électrique.
♦ Branchez la fiche secteur dans une prise.
♦ Allumez en premier l'interrupteur principal
lorsque vous n'utilisez plus l'appareil.
♦ Lors de l'allumage, le voyant de contrôle intégré dans l'interrupteur principal
s'allume. Un bip se fait entendre et l'affichage 2 s'allume.
♦ Appuyez sur la touche Marche/Arrêt
L'appareil est maintenant prêt à être utilisé.

Sélectionner le niveau de chauffage
Les niveaux de chauffage vous permettent de choisir la vitesse à laquelle l'appareil
chauffe. L'appareil possède trois niveaux de chauffage :
■ Niveau 1: 1000 watts
■ Niveau 2: 1300 watts
■ Niveau 3: 2300 watts
♦ Appuyez sur la touche pour sélectionner le niveau de chauffage
jusqu'à ce que le niveau de chauffage souhaité soit réglé.

Allumer le ventilateur
L'appareil possède un ventilateur permettant de répartir plus rapidement l'air
chauffé dans la pièce.
♦ Appuyez sur la touche ventilateur

Régler la durée de chauffage
L'appareil comporte un minuteur vous permettant de régler entre 1 et 24 heures
la durée de chauffage souhaitée. Après expiration de la durée de chauffage,
l'appareil s'éteint automatiquement.
♦ Appuyez sur la touche minuterie

♦ Pour éteindre à nouveau la minuterie, appuyez sur la touche minuterie
ou jusqu'à ce qu'aucune durée de fonctionnement 18 ne s'affiche plus à
l'écran 2.
Protection anti-surchauffe
L'appareil est équipé d'une protection anti-surchauffe par thermostat. Si l'intérieur
de l'appareil surchauffe, ce dernier s'éteint automatiquement. Dès que l'appareil
s'est refroidi, la résistance chauffante se rallume automatiquement.
ATTENTION
Toute surchauffe a généralement une raison bien précise!
Elle peut signifier un risque d'incendie!
► Contrôlez si l'appareil est en mesure de diffuser suffisamment sa chaleur :
l'appareil est-il recouvert ou est-il trop proche d'un mur ou d'un autre obstacle ? Le ventilateur est-il bloqué ?
► Vérifiez si l'entrée d'air
problème.
► Dans la mesure du possible, veuillez éliminer le problème ou adressez-vous
à la hotline du service après-vente (cf. le chapitre Service).
► Si vous ne parvenez pas à trouver l'origine, mais que la protection anti-sur-
chauffe se déclenche une nouvelle fois, vous devez envoyer l'appareil au
service après-vente pour contrôle ou réparation.

Nettoyage
ATTENTION
Respectez les consignes de sécurité suivantes pour éviter tous dangers et
dégâts matériels:
► Débranchez la fiche secteur avant chaque nettoyage.
► Toujours faire le nettoyage lorsque l'appareil est hors tension et froid.

Endommagement potentiel de l'appareil.
La pénétration d'humidité peut endommager l'appareil.
► Lors du nettoyage de l'appareil, veillez à ce qu'aucune humidité ne pénètre
dans ce dernier afin d'éviter tous dégâts irréparables.
■ Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans de l'eau et protégez-le contre les projections
ou les gouttes d'eau.
■ Laissez refroidir l'appareil avant le nettoyage, de manière à ce qu'il n'y ait aucun
risque de brûlure.
■ Nettoyez le boîtier exclusivement à l'aide d'un chiffon humecté et d'un détergent
doux.
■ Éliminez avec un aspirateur les dépôts de poussières sur la grille de protection.
Transport et stockage
■ Transportez toujours l'appareil en vous servant des poignées 9.
■ Débranchez l'appareil si celui-ci ne doit pas servir pendant une longue période.
■ Entreposez l'appareil dans un local à l'abri de l'humidité.
Mise au rebut
Ne jamais jeter l'appareil avec les ordures ménagères.
Ce produit est assujetti à la directive européenne 2012/19/EUDEEE (déchets d'équipements électriques et électroniques).
Éliminez l'appareil par l'intermédiaire d'une entreprise de traitement des déchets
autorisée ou via le service de recyclage de votre commune. Respectez la

Mise au rebut des piles
Les piles défectueuses ou usagées doivent être recyclées conformément à la
directive 2006/66/EC. Ne pas jeter les piles usagées avec les ordures ménagères. Les piles peuvent contenir des substances toxiques dangereuses pour
l'environnement. Les piles doivent impérativement être mises au rebut dans le
respect des dispositions légales en vigueur.
Chaque consommateur est légalement obligé de remettre les piles à un point de
collecte de sa commune/son quartier ou dans le commerce. Cette obligation a
pour objectif d'assurer l'élimination écologique des piles.
Veuillez remettre les piles uniquement à l'état déchargé.

présenter des vices, vous disposez de droits légaux face au vendeur de ce produit.
Vos droits légaux ne sont pas restreints par notre garantie présentée ci-dessous.
Conditions de garantie
La période de garantie débute à la date de l’achat. Veuillez bien conserver le ticket
de caisse d’origine. Ce document servira de preuve d’achat.
Si dans un délai de trois ans suivant la date d’achat de ce produit, un vice de matériel
ou de fabrication venait à apparaître, le produit sera réparé ou remplacé gratuitement
par nos soins, selon notre choix. Cette prestation de garantie nécessite dans un délai
de trois ans la présentation de l’appareil défectueux et du justificatif d’achat (ticket
de caisse) ainsi que la description brève du vice et du moment de son apparition.
Si le vice est couvert par notre garantie, vous recevrez le produit réparé ou un nouveau
produit en retour. Aucune nouvelle période de garantie ne débute avec la réparation
ou l’échange du produit.
Période de garantie et réclamation légale pour vices cachés
L’exercice de la garantie ne prolonge pas la période de garantie. Cette disposition
s’applique également aux pièces remplacées ou réparées. Les dommages et vices
éventuellement déjà présents à l’achat doivent être signalés immédiatement après le
déballage. Toute réparation survenant après la période sous garantie fera l’objet
d’une facturation.
Étendue de la garantie
L’appareil a été fabriqué avec soin conformément à des directives de qualité strictes
et consciencieusement contrôlé avant sa livraison.
La prestation de garantie est valable pour des vices de matériel et de fabrication.
Cette garantie ne s’étend pas aux pièces du produit qui sont exposées à une usure
normale et peuvent de ce fait être considérées comme pièces d’usure, ni aux détériorations de pièces fragiles, par ex. connecteur, accu, moules ou pièces en verre.
Cette garantie devient caduque si le produit est détérioré, utilisé ou entretenu de
manière non conforme. Toutes les instructions listées dans le manuel d’utilisation
doivent être exactement respectées pour une utilisation conforme du produit. Des
buts d’utilisation et actions qui sont déconseillés dans le manuel d’utilisation, ou dont
vous êtes avertis doivent également être évités.
Le produit est uniquement destiné à un usage privé et ne convient pas à un usage
professionnel. La garantie est annulée en cas d’entretien incorrect et inapproprié,
d’usage de la force et en cas d’intervention non réalisée par notre centre de service
après-vente agréé.

Article L211-16 du Code de la consommation
Lorsque l‘acheteur demande au vendeur, pendant le cours de la garantie commerciale qui lui a été consentie lors de l‘acquisition ou de la réparation d‘un bien
meuble, une remise en état couverte par la garantie, toute période d‘immobilisation
d‘au moins sept jours vient s‘ajouter à la durée de la garantie qui restait à courir.
Cette période court à compter de la demande d‘intervention de l‘acheteur ou de la
mise à disposition pour réparation du bien en cause, si cette mise à disposition est
postérieure à la demande d‘intervention.
Indépendamment de la garantie commerciale souscrite, le vendeur reste tenu des
défauts de conformité du bien et des vices rédhibitoires dans les conditions prévues
aux articles L211-4 à L211-13 du Code de la consommation et aux articles 1641 à
1648 et 2232 du Code Civil.
Article L211-16 du Code de la consommation
Le vendeur est tenu de livrer un bien conforme au contrat et répond des défauts de
conformité existant lors de la délivrance.
Il répond également des défauts de conformité résultant de l‘emballage, des instructions de montage ou de l‘installation lorsque celle-ci a été mise à sa charge par le
contrat ou a été réalisée sous sa responsabilité.
Article L211-5 du Code de la consommation
Pour être conforme au contrat, le bien doit :
1° Etre propre à l‘usage habituellement attendu d‘un bien semblable et, le cas
échéant :
– correspondre à la description donnée par le vendeur et posséder les qualités
que celui-ci a présentées à l‘acheteur sous forme d‘échantillon ou de modèle ;
– présenter les qualités qu‘un acheteur peut légitimement attendre eu égard aux
déclarations publiques faites par le vendeur, par le producteur ou par son
représentant, notamment dans la publicité ou l‘étiquetage ;
2° Ou présenter les caractéristiques définies d‘un commun accord par les parties ou
être propre à tout usage spécial recherché par l‘acheteur, porté à la connaissance du vendeur et que ce dernier a accepté.

L‘action résultant du défaut de conformité se prescrit par deux ans à compter de la
délivrance du bien.

Article 1641 du Code civil
Le vendeur est tenu de la garantie à raison des défauts cachés de la chose vendue
qui la rendent impropre à l‘usage auquel on la destine,

aurait donné qu‘un moindre prix, s‘il les avait connus.

L‘action résultant des vices rédhibitoires doit être intentée par l‘acquéreur dans un délai
de deux ans à compter de la découverte du vice.
Les pièces détachées indispensables à l’utilisation du produit sont disponibles pendant la durée de la garantie du produit.

Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise, um eine Gefährdung durch

► Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn die Netzanschlussleitung oder der
Stecker beschädigt sind.

Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die
folgenden Sicherheitshinweise:
■ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere
sichtbare Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder
heruntergefallenes Gerät nicht in Betrieb.
■ Wenn die Netzanschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt
ist/wird, muss sie durch den Hersteller oder seinen Kundendienst oder eine ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden,
um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
■ Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber sowie
von Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen oder
mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und Wissen
benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des
sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die
daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstehen. Kinder dürfen nicht
mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen
nicht von Kindern ohne Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.
■ Kinder jünger als 3 Jahre sind fernzuhalten, es sei denn sie
werden ständig überwacht.

nur ein- und ausschalten, wenn sie beaufsichtigt werden oder
bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen

haben, vorausgesetzt, dass das Gerät in seiner normalen Gebrauchslage platziert oder installiert ist.
■ Kindern ab 3 Jahren und jünger als 8 Jahre dürfen nicht den
Stecker in die Steckdose stecken, das Gerät nicht regulieren,
das Gerät nicht reinigen und/oder nicht die Wartung durch den
Benutzer durchführen.
■ Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass
sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
■ Vorsicht – Einige Teile des Produktes können sehr heiß wer-
den und Verbrennungen verursachen. Besondere Vorsicht

■ Die metallischen Oberflächen des Gerätes können heiß
werden. Fassen Sie daher das Gerät ausschließlich an den

■ Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten

■ Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und dem Eindringen
von Flüssigkeiten.
■ Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Anschlussstecker aus der
Steckdose.
■ Die Netzanschlussleitung immer am Anschlussstecker aus
der Steckdose ziehen, nicht an der Anschlussleitung.
■ Vermeiden Sie die Benutzung von Verlängerungskabeln.
■ Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen Flammen betreiben.
■ Das Gerät darf nicht unmittelbar unter oder über einer Wand-
steckdose platziert werden.
■ Dieses Heizgerät nicht mit einem Programmschalter, einem
Zeitschalter, einem separaten Fernwirksystem oder irgendeiner anderen Einrichtung verwenden, die das Heizgerät
automatisch einschaltet, da Brandgefahr besteht, wenn das
Heizgerät abgedeckt oder falsch aufgestellt wird.
■ Bei auftretenden Störungen und bei Gewitter den Anschluss-
stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
■ Das Gerät darf nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe einer Badewanne,
einer Dusche oder eines Schwimmbeckens benutzt werden.
■ Das Gerät ist so anzubringen, dass Schalter und andere
Regler nicht von einer sich in der Badewanne oder unter der
Dusche befindlichen Person berührt werden können.
■ Das Gerät keinem Spritz- und/oder Tropfwasser aussetzen
und keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände wie Vasen
oder offene Getränke auf oder neben das Gerät stellen.

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Anforderungen an den Aufstellort
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes muss der Aufstellort
folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
■ Das Gerät darf nur in senkrechter Stellung und komplett montiert betrieben
werden.
■ Bei Verwendung der Standfüße muss das Gerät auf einem festen, flachen und
waagerechten Boden aufgestellt werden.
■ Bei Wandmontage darf das Gerät nur ortsfest an einer senkrechten Wand
montiert werden.
■ Es sind zum Gehäuse Mindestabstände von 10 cm seitlich, 30 cm nach oben,
15 cm nach unten (bei Wandmontage) und 50 cm nach vorne einzuhalten.
■ Achten Sie immer darauf, dass die Luft frei ein- und austreten kann. Ansonsten
kann es zu einem Hitzestau in dem Gerät kommen.
■ Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in einer heißen, nassen oder sehr feuchten Umgebung
oder in der Nähe von brennbarem Material auf.
■ Die Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein, so dass die Netzanschlussleitung
notfalls leicht abgezogen werden kann.

► Vergleichen Sie vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes die Anschlussdaten
(Spannung und Frequenz) auf dem Typenschild mit denen Ihres Elektronetzes. Diese Daten müssen übereinstimmen, damit keine Schäden am

Das Gerät besitzt einen Timer, mit dem Sie die gewünschte Heizdauer zwischen
1 bis 24 Stunden einstellen können. Nach Ablauf der Heizdauer schaltet das

Überhitzungsschutz
Das Gerät ist mit einem thermostatgesteuerten Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet.
Wenn das Gerät intern zu heiß wird, schaltet sich das Heizelement automatisch
aus. Sobald sich das Gerät wieder abgekühlt hat, schaltet sich das Heizelement
selbstständig wieder ein.

Überhitzung hat in der Regel einen Grund! Sie kann

► Kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät seine Wärme ausreichend abgeben kann:
Ist das Gerät abgedeckt oder steht es zu dicht an einer Wand oder einem

Reinigung
WARNUNG

Garantiebedingungen

this product. They contain important information on safety, usage and disposal.

Please observe the following safety guidelines to prevent electrical hazards:
► Do not use the appliance if the power cable or the plug are damaged.

is a risk of electric shock if live connections are touched and the electrical

Basic safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:
■ Check the appliance for visible external damage before use.
Do not operate a appliance that has been damaged or
dropped.
■ If the appliance's mains power cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer
service department or by a qualified technician so that risks
can be avoided.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and
above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided
that they are under supervision or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
Children must not use the appliance as a plaything. Cleaning
and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children
unless they are supervised.
■ Children younger than three years old should be kept away
from the appliance unless they are constantly monitored.
■ Children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age may
only switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised
or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers, provided that the appliance
is located or installed in its normal operating position.
■ Children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age may
not plug in, regulate or clean the appliance and may not
carry out user maintenance tasks.

■ Defective components must always be replaced with original
replacement parts. Only by using original replacement parts
can it be assured that the safety requirements are being complied with.
■ Protect the appliance from penetration by moisture and liquids.
■ Always unplug the appliance from the mains power socket
before cleaning.
■ Always disconnect the power cable from the mains power
socket by pulling on the plug; never pull on the cable.
■ Avoid using extension cables.
■ Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of naked flames.
■ The appliance must not be placed immediately under or over
a mains power socket.
■ Do not use this heater together with a programmable switch,
a timer, a separate remote control system or any other system
which switches on the heater automatically, as this could lead
to a fire risk if the heater is covered or set up incorrectly.
■ Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket if the appli-
ance malfunctions and also during thunderstorms.
■ The appliance must not be used in the immediate vicinity of
a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
■ The appliance is to be installed so that a person in the bath
or shower is unable to touch the switch and other controls.
■ Do not expose the appliance to spray and/or dripping water
and do not place any objects filled with liquid, such as vases
or open drink containers, on or near the appliance.

Risk of injury if batteries are improperly handled
WARNING
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might

put batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a
battery has been swallowed, seek medical assistance
IMMEDIATELY.
► Do not throw batteries into a fire. Never subject batteries
to high temperatures.
► Risk of explosion! Do not charge batteries unless they
are explicitly labelled as "rechargeable".
► Do not open the batteries or short-circuit them.
► Do not mix different types of batteries. Due to increased
risk of leakage, empty batteries should be removed.
The batteries should also be removed from the remote
control if it is not being used for long periods.
► Battery acid leaking from a battery can cause skin ir-
ritation. In the event of contact with the skin, rinse with
plenty of water. If the liquid comes into contact with your
eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, do not rub and consult
a doctor immediately.

insufficient care during transportation, contact the Service hotline (see the

Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste which is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

► If possible, keep the appliance's original packaging for the warranty period
so that the appliance can be packed properly for return shipment in the
event of a warranty claim.

Set-up location requirements
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the set-up location must fulfil
the following requirements:
■ The appliance may only be operated in a vertical position and fully assembled.
■ When using the feet, the device must be placed on a firm, flat and even floor.
■ When wall mounting, the appliance must only be mounted in a fixed position on
a vertical wall.
■ The minimum clearances between the housing and other objects must be main-
tained: 10 cm at the sides, 30 cm above, 15 cm below (with wall mounting) and
50 cm in front.
■ Ensure that air can always enter and escape freely. Otherwise, there could be a
heat build-up in the appliance.
■ Do not place the appliance in a hot, wet or extremely moist environment or in the
vicinity of flammable materials.
■ The mains power socket must be easily accessible so that the power cable can
be easily disconnected in an emergency.
■ Environmental temperature range: 0 to +40°C
■ Humidity (no condensation): 5–85%

Fire risk due to contact with materials!
There is a risk of fire if the heating elements come into contact
with flammable materials!
► Do not place the appliance in the vicinity of curtains and other flammable
materials.
► Do not allow flammable materials (i.e. textiles) to come into contact with
the appliance.

Before initial use
■ Remove all packaging materials and all transport locks from the appliance.
NOTE
You may notice a slight smell when using the appliance for the first time.

This is normal and is completely harmless.
Electrical connection
To ensure safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance after making the
electrical connection, please observe the following advice:
CAUTION
► Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage
and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your mains power supply.
These data must agree so that no damage is sustained by the appliance.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not damaged and is not running over
hot surfaces and/or sharp edges.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not taut or knotted.

If the battery in the remote control 25 is dead, a new CR2032 battery needs to
be inserted.

► During assembly, lay the appliance on a soft surface, e.g. on a carpet, to
avoid any damage.

Set heating time
The appliance has a timer that you can use to set the desired heating time between

Overheating protection
The appliance is fitted with a thermostat-controlled overheating protector. If the
appliance becomes too hot internally, the heating element switches off automatically. As soon as the appliance has cooled down, the heating element switches

Cleaning
WARNING

Transport and storage

Disposal

Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable regulations.

Disposing of the batteries
Defective or dead batteries must be recycled according to Directive 2006/66/EC.
Do not dispose of the batteries in the domestic waste. Batteries can contain poisons which are damaging to the environment. Therefore, dispose of the batteries
in accordance with applicable statutory regulations.
Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries at a collection point
in their town/district or at a retail store. This obligation is intended to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
Dispose of batteries only when they are fully discharged.

This section contains important information about fault identification and rectification.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are
not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep your
original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance and
the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault and its time
of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced
by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a
new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also
applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at
the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out
after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend
to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as switches,
batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or
improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that
are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be
avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The

Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
▯ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 12345) available as
proof of purchase.
▯ You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on the front page of
the instructions (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the appliance.
▯ If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed
either by telephone or by e-mail.
▯ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address
that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till
receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
