Safety Information

Risk of electric shock!

• Connect the coffee machine only to correctly in­stalled and earthed mains power sockets. Ensu­re that the voltage supplied through the mains
power socket tallies completely with the details
given on the appliance rating plate.

• Remove the plug from the mains power socket
when you move the coffee machine, fill it with
water, if it malfunctions, before cleaning it and
when it is not in use.

Under no circumstances may the coffee ma­chine be submersed in liquids. Do not expose
the appliance to humidity and do not use it
outdoors. Should liquids permeate the housing,
IMMEDIATELY unplug the appliance from the
mains power socket and arrange for it to be
repaired by a qualified technician.

• Never touch the coffee machine, the power
cable or the plug when your hands are wet.

• To disconnect, always pull the plug itself out of
the mains power socket, do not pull on the
power cable.

• Do not kink or crush the power cable.

• To avoid potential risks, arrange for a defective
appliance to be checked and possibly repaired
by qualified technicians, or contact our Customer
Service Department.

• Arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables
to be replaced at once by authorised technicians
or our Customer Service Department.

• Do not use an extension cable.

Risk of fire!

• Do not leave the coffee machine unattended
when it is in use.

• NEVER operate the coffee machine without
mains water and NEVER fill it to more than the
Max. marking.

• Do not use an external timing switch or a separate
remote control system to operate the appliance.

Risk of personal injury!

• NEVER use the thermos can of the coffee machine
in a microwave oven.

• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals
(including children) with restricted physical, physio­logical or intellectual abilities or deficiences in
experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or receive from this person instruction in
how the appliance is to be used.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.



Risk of scalds!

• Do not hold your hands in the rising steam.

• Always close the filter container before switching
on, otherwise there is a risk of being scalded by
exiting steam and hot water.

• Do not move the coffee machine during the
brewing process.

• Remove the thermos can first when the brewing
process is complete and the filter has complete­ly drained itself.

Risk of stumbling!

• Lay the power cable in such a way that no one
can tread on or trip over it.

• Do not use an extension cable.

Intended use

The coffee maker is intended exclusively for brewing
coffee. This coffee maker is intended exclusively for
use in domestic households. Pay heed to all of the
information in this operating manual, especially the
safety instructions. All other uses are deemed to be
improper and may result in property damage or
even in personal injury. We shall not accept liability
for damages caused due to improper use of the
appliance.

Setting up and connecting to
the power supply

Risk of electric shock!

Under no circumstances should the appliance be
located close to water, in particular, close to filled
sinks and other waterfilled vessels. Use the coffee
machine only on a thoroughly dry surface. The
proximity of water presents a risk, even when the
appliance is switched off. Accordingly, always
remove the plug from the mains power socket after
use.

Warning in regard to property
damage!

Never locate the coffee machine close to sources of
heat. The appliance could be damaged.

Attention!

To avoid damage to the appliance and the location
area, use the coffee machine only on a flat and
heat-resistant surface.

• Remove all packaging materials from the ap­pliance.

• Place the appliance on a dry, flat and heat­resistant surface.

• Place the thermos can 8 on the stand plate 0
in the appliance.

• Then insert the plug into a mains power socket.

Operation

Before the first use

Attention!

• NEVER fill the water tank 2 with a total volume
of more than 10 cups of water. NEVER fill the
water tank 2 with less than 2 cups of water.
Otherwise, the coffee machine could be damaged.
Use the scale on the water tank 2.

• Unplug the coffee machine immediately after use.
The appliance is completely free of electrical
power ONLY when it is unplugged.

• Fill the water tank 2 only with freshly drawn
mains water. Using anything else could damage
the appliance.

5. Press the On/Off switch 9. The integrated
control lamp 9 glows. The brewing process
starts. Wait until the brewing process is com­plete and the control lamp goes out.

6. Empty the thermos can 8.

7. Wait until the appliance has cooled down.

Subsequently, you can use the coffee machine for
the brewing of ground coffee.

Filling with ground coffee

1. Open the filter holder lid with the grip 3.
The filter element must be inserted.

2. Place a filter bag (size 1 x 4) with folded over
sides in the filter holder.

3. Fill it with the required amount of coffee powder
using the measuring spoon.

1. Using the handle integrated into the water tank
lid 1, take the water tank 2 out of the coffee
machine and clean the water tank 2 with water
and some detergent. Afterwards, rinse it out
with lots of clean water, such that all detergent
residues are removed.

2. Clean the thermos can 8 with water and a little
detergent. Afterwards, rinse it out with lots of
clean water, such that all detergent residues are
removed.

3. Pour water into the water tank 2 up to the 8-cup
mark and then place it in the coffee machine
so that it is firmly seated. If you fill it with more
than 8 cups water and brew it without coffee
powder, the thermos can 8 will overflow.

4. Place the empty thermos can 8 on the stand
plate 0 so that the coffee exit 6 is located
centrally above the thermos can lid 7.

Note:

Fill it with about one levelled coffee spoon of
ground coffee per cup of filter coffee. If the filter
coffee should be less strong, you can reduce the
amount of ground coffee per cup.

4. Close the filter holder lid.

Filling with water

Note

Use only freshly drawn mains water for preparing
the coffee!

1. Take the water tank 2 from the coffee machine
and fill it with water as per the desired quantity
of filter coffee. Orient yourself with the scale on
water tank 2.

Attention!

• NEVER fill the water tank 2 with a total volume
of more than 10 cups of water. NEVER fill the
water tank 2 with less than 2 cups of water.
Otherwise, the coffee machine could be damaged.
Use the scale on the water tank 2.

2. Place the water tank 2 on the coffee machine
so that it is firmly seated.

3. Close the water tank lid 1.

Modifying the aroma

• Select the desired coffee strength on the aroma
selector switch 5. The setting is for strong
coffee, the setting is for medium coffee and
the setting is for mild coffee.

Note

You can
machine (for max. 30 seconds), for example, if you
want to pour a coffee. Thereby, no coffee will drip
from the machine.
Place the thermos can back on the stand plate 0
within 30 seconds.
Otherwise, the filter will overflow and coffee/water
will drain from the filter holder 4.

Switching On and Off

Note:

Rinse the thermos can 8 with hot water from before
you start the brewing process. This will help the
coffee to stay hot for longer!

• Before you switch the coffee machine on, ensure
that the thermos can 8 is correctly located on
the stand plate 0.

• To switch the coffee machine on, press the On/
Off switch 9. The integrated control lamp 9
glows.

• If you want to cancel a brewing process, press
the On/Off switch 9. The integrated control
lamp 9 extinguishes.

• The coffee machine switches itself off automati­cally upon completion of the brewing process.
The control lamp 9 integrated in the On/Off
switch 9 extinguishes.

• Remove the plug from the mains power socket
if the coffee machine is no longer to be in use.

Pouring coffee

To pour coffee from the thermos can 8 it is not
necessary to completely unscrew the thermos can
lid 7:

1. Unscrew the thermos can lid 7 so far that the
arrow points to the symbol . With this,
coffee may be poured from the can without
the thermos lid 7 falling off.

2. After pouring, close the thermos can lid 7
immediately. If you do not, the coffee will cool
more quickly.

Note

Should you wish to keep the coffee warm in the
thermos can 8 for an extended period, remove the
thermos can 8 from the coffee maker when the bre­wing process is finished. When the thermos can 8
is standing in the coffee maker the thermos can lid
7, due to the brewing mechanism, is pressed
down. As soon as the brewing process is complete,
hot air escapes through the thermos can lid 7. The
coffee cools faster. When the thermos can 8 is re-
moved from the coffee maker, the thermos can lid
7 closes itself automatically. The coffee stays hot
for longer.

Note

Wait at least 3 minutes before you start another
brewing process.

Cleaning

Scale removal

To obtain an optimal taste result after every brewing
process you should clean the coffee machine after
every use.

• Unplug the power cable from the mains power
socket.

Risk of electric shock!

Before you clean the coffee maker you MUST remove
the plug from the mains power socket. Under no
circumstances may the appliance be immersed in
water or held under running water during cleaning.

Risk of burns!

Always wait until the coffee maker has cooled
down before cleaning it. This avoids the potential
risk of being burnt.

Attention!

Do not use household detergents or sharp/pointed
objects to remove soiling. . These could damage
the appliance.

• Wipe the housing of the coffee machine and
the thermos can 8 with a soft cloth lightly
moistened with a soapy solution. At the same
time remove any deposits that may have settled
in the thermos can 8.

• After every brewing process remove the filter
bag from the filter holder 4.

• Rinse both of them under running water.

• Clean the measuring spoon in mild soapy water
and rinse it with clean water.

The mineral content (hardness) in the water causes,
over a period of time, a calcification of the coffee
machine. This calcification impairs the appliance in
its function and diminishes the quality of the brewed
filter coffee.

Note:

Enquire at your local waterworks about the hardness
level of your mains water. The need for decalcification
comes early in hard water areas, somewhat later
in soft water areas. Use a decalcifier designed for
household appliances and pay heed to the usage
instructions.

1. Switch the coffee machine off and allow it to
cool down completely.

2. Place the scale removal product in the water
tank 2.

3. Fill it with the maximum permitted amount of
water for descaling (see the descaler instructions).
However, do not pour in more water than to the
8-cup marking in the water tank 2.

4. Place the thermos can 8 on the stand plate 0.

5. Press the On/Off switch 9.

6. Wait until the brewing process is complete and
the control lamp goes out.

7. Unplug the power cable from the mains power
socket.

8. Carefully rinse the thermos can 8 with mains
water.

9. Take the water tank 2 off and rinse it out with
clean water.

10. To finish, complete two brewing processes using
only mains water, as described in the section
"Before the first usage".

When completed, you can continue to use the
coffee machine.

Disposal

Do NOT dispose of the appliance in
your normal domestic waste. This pro­duct is subject to the provisions of Euro­pean Directive 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis­posal centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal
centre.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an
environmentally friendly manner.

manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery.

the case of a warranty claim, please make contact
by telephone with our Customer Service Department.
Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your
goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and
manufacturing defects, not for transport damages,
wearing parts or for damage to fragile components,
e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for private
use only and is not intended for commercial appli­cations.
In the event of misuse and improper handling, use
of force and interference not carried out by our
authorized service branch, the warranty will be­come void. Your statutory rights are not restricted
in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended by repairs ef­fected under warranty. This applies also to replaced
and repaired parts. Damages or defects discovered
after purchase are to be reported directly after un­packing, at the latest two days after the purchase

Sigurnosne napomene

Opasnost od strujnog udara!

• Aparat za kavu priključite isključivo na propisno
instaliranu i uzemljenu mrežnu utičnicu. Obratite
pažnju na to, da napon naveden na tipskoj ploči
odgovara naponu mrežne utičnice.

• Izvucite utikač iz utičnice kada aparat za kavu
pomičete, punite, kada dođe do smetnji, prije či­šćenja aparata ili u razdobljima kada aparat ne
koristite.

Aparat za kavu nikako ne smijete zaroniti u
tekućine. Uređaj ne smijete izložiti utjecaju
vlage i ne smijete ga koristiti vani. Ukoliko ipak
dospije tekućina u kućište uređaja, odmah
izvucite mrežni utikač iz mrežne utičnice i dajte
ga kvalificiranom stručnom osoblju na popravak.

• Aparat za kavu, napojni kabel i utikač nikada
ne dirajte mokrim rukama.

• Mrežni kabel iz utičnice uvijek iskopčajte hvatanjem
za utikač, nikada ne povlačite za sam kabel.

• Ne lomite i ne gniječite mrežni kabel.

• Defektan uređaj neizostavno dajte kvalificiranoj
stručnoj radionici na popravak ili se obratite
servisu za kupce, kako biste izbjegli nastanak
mogućih opasnosti.

Namjenska uporaba

Aparat za kavu služi isključivo za pripremanje kave.
Ovaj aparat za kavu je isključivo namijenjen za
uporabu u privatnim domaćinstvima. Obratite pažnju
na sve obavijesti u ovim uputama za rukovanje, po­gotovo na sigurnosne napomene. Svaki drugi način
uporabe smatra se nenamjenskim i može dovesti do
nastanka predmetne štete i čak do ozljede osoba.
Ne preuzimamo jamstvo za štete, koje nastaju uslijed
upotrebe protivne namjeni uređaja.

Postavljanje i priključivanje

Opasnost od strujnog udara!

Aparat za kavu nikako ne postavite u blizini vode,
koja se nalazi u sudoperima ili drugim posudama.
Aparat za kavu koristite isključivo na suhoj podlozi.
Blizina vode predstavlja opasnost čak i onda, kada
uređaj nije u pogonu. Zbog toga nakon svake upo­trebe izvucite utikač.

Upozorenje na mogućnost nastanka
štete!

Aparat za kavu nikada ne postavite u blizini izvora
toplote. Uređaj bi mogao biti oštećen.

Pažnja!

Aparat za kavu koristite isključivo na ravnoj podlozi
otpornoj na visoke temperature, kako biste spriječili
oštećenja uređaja i podloge.

Odstranite sav materijal ambalaže sa uređaja.

• Uređaj postavite na ravnu površinu otpornu na
visoke temperature.

• Postavite termos posudu 8 na stajaću ploču 0
u uređaju.

• Nakon toga utaknite mrežni utikač u mrežnu
utičnicu.

Rukovanje

Prije prve uporabe

Pažnja!

• Nikada ne umetnite ukupnu količinu vode veću
od količine potrebne za punih 10 šalica u
spremnik za 2 vodu.
U spremnik za vodu nikada ne umetnite manju
količinu vode od količine za 2 šalice 2. U
protivnom aparat za kavu može biti oštećen.
Koristite skalu na spremniku za vodu 2.

• Aparat za kavu odmah nakon upotrebe odvojite
od napajanja strujom. Samo kada utikač izvučete
iz utičnice, uređaj će potpuno biti oslobođen od
električne energije.

• Umetnite isključivo pitku vodu u spremnik za
vodu 2. U protivnom aparat za kavu može biti
oštećen.

1. Spremnik za vodu 2 uz pomoć ručke integrirane
u poklopcu spremnika 1 skinite sa aparata za
kavu i očistite ga 2 vodom sa dodatkom sredstva
za pranje posuđa. Nakon toga ga isperite velikom
količinom bistre vode, tako da svi ostaci sredstva
za pranje posuđa budu uklonjeni.

2. Očistite termo posudu 8 sa vodom i manjom
količinom sredstva za pranje posuđa. Nakon
toga je isperite velikom količinom bistre vode,
tako da svi ostaci sredstva za pranje posuđa
budu uklonjeni.

3. Napunite vodu u spremnik za vodu 2 do oznake
količine za 8 šalica i postavite spremnik na aparat
za kavu tako da čvrsto stoji. Ako umetnete količinu
vode veću od količine za 8 šalica i vršite kuhanje
bez kave u prahu, termos posuda 8 će prelije­vati.

4. Postavite ispražnjenu termos posudu 8 na
stajaću ploču 0, tako da se prolaz za kavu 6
nalazi iznad sredine poklopca ove posude 7.

5. Pritisnite tipku Uklj/Isklj 9. Integrirana kontrolna
lampica 9 svijetli. Postupak kuhanja započinje.
Pričekajte da se postupak kuhanja završi i kon­trolna lampica zagasi.

6. Ispraznite termos posudu 8.

7. Pričekajte da se uređaj ohladi.

Nakon toga aparat za kavu možete koristiti za
kuhanje mljevene kave.

Umetanje mljevene kave

1. Otvorite poklopac držača filtra na rukohvatu 3.
Filtarski umetak mora biti umetnut.

2. Umetnite filtarsku vrećicu (veličine 1 x 4) sa
presavijenim stranama u držač filtra.

3. Napunite sa mjernom žlicom kavu u prahu.

Napomena:

Za jednu šalicu filtarske kave umetnite ca. jednu ravnu
malu žlicu mljevene kave. Ukoliko želite blažu filtarsku
kavu, količinu mljevene kave za jednu šalicu možete
reducirati.

4. Zatvorite poklopac držača filtra.

Umetnite vodu

Napomena

Za pripravljanje kave koristite isključivo pitku vodu!

1. Skinite spremnik za vodu 2 sa aparata za kavu
i napunite ga količinom vode ovisno o željenoj
količini kave.Pritom se orijentirajte na skali na
spremniku za vodu 2.

Pažnja!

• Nikada ne umetnite ukupnu količinu vode veću
od količine potrebne za 10 šalica u spremnik
za vodu 2.

količinu vode od količine za 2 šalice 2.
U protivnom aparat za kavu može biti oštećen.
Koristite skalu na spremniku za vodu 2.

2. Postavite spremnik za vodu 2 na aparat za
kavu tako da čvrsto stoji.

3. Zatvorite poklopac spremnika za vodu 1.

Podešavanje arome

• Podesite željenu jačinu kave pomoću prekidača
za odabir arome 5. Postavka daje jaku
kavu, postavka daje srednje jaku kavu,
a postavka blagu kavu.

Uključivanje i isključivanje

Napomena:

Isperite termos posudu 8 vrućom vodom prije nego
što pokrenete postupak kuhanja kave. Kava će na
taj način duže ostati vruća.

• Prije uključivanja aparata za kavu provjerite, da
je termos-posuda 8 ispravno postavljena na
ploči 0.

• Kada želite uključiti aparat za kavu, pritisnite tipku
Uklj/Isklj 9. Integrirana kontrolna lampica 9
svijetli.

• Ako želite prekinuti postupak kuhanja kave,
pritisnite tipku Uklj/Isklj 9. Integrirana kontrolna
lampica 9 se gasi.

• Nakon završetka postupka kuhanja aparat za
kavu se automatski gasi. U tipci Uklj/Isklj 9
integrirana kontrolna lampica 9 se gasi.

• Ukoliko aparat za kavu ne koristite, izvucite
mrežni utikač iz mrežne utičnice.

Napomena

Termos posudu 8 možete na
sekundi) izvaditi iz stroja, na primjer kada želite
poslužiti kavu. Pritom ne kaplje kava iz aparata.
U roku od 30 sekundi termos posudu ponovo
vratite na ploču 0. U protivnom će filtar procurjeti
i kava/voda će curiti iz držača filtra 4.

Sipanje kave

Da biste kavu sipali iz termos posude 8, nije po-
trebno poklopac termos posude 7 sasvim skinuti:

1. Odvrnite poklopac termos posude 7 toliko, da
strelica pokazuje na simbol . Na taj način
kavu možete sipati iz posude bez da poklopac
termos posude 7 spadne.

2. Poklopac termos posude 7 nakon sipanja odmah
ponovo zavrnite. U protivnom kava će se brže
ohladiti.

Napomena

Ako kavu tijekom dužeg vremenskog razdoblja želite
držati toplu u termos-posudi 8, izvadite termos­posudu 8 nakon postupka kuhanja iz aparata za
kavu. Ako termos-posuda 8 stoji u aparatu za kavu,
poklopac 7 će uslijed mehanizma kuhanja biti pri­tisnut prema dolje. Čim se završi postupak kuhanja,
kroz poklopac 7 izlazi vrući zrak. Kava se brže
hladi. Kada termos-posudu 8 podizanjem izvadite
iz aparata za kavu, poklopac 7 se automatski zat­vara. Kava ostaje duže vruća.

Napomena

Pričekajte najmanje 3 minute prije nego što započnete
novi postupak kuhanja.

Čišćenje

Kako biste prilikom spremanja kave uvijek ostvarili
optimalan okus, trebali biste aparat za kavu čistiti
nakon svake uporabe.

Izvucite mrežni utikač iz utičnice.
