Indicaciones de seguridad
En este capítulo obtendrá indicaciones de seguridad importantes para manejar
el aparato.
Este aparato cumple las normas de seguridad prescritas.
Sin embargo, el uso inadecuado puede causar daños personales y materiales.
Para manejar con seguridad el aparato deben tenerse en cuenta las indicaciones
de seguridad siguientes:
¡PELIGRO - DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
Conecte la cafetera únicamente a una base de enchufe instalada y
►
conectada a tierra de acuerdo con la normativa. Compruebe que la
tensión indicada en la placa de características concuerda con la tensión
de la base de enchufe.
► Extraiga la clavija de red de la base de enchufe, al mover y llenar la
cafetera, si existen averías, antes de limpiar la cafetera o cuando no la
esté utilizando.
► Preste atención a que el cable de red no se moje o entre en contacto
con humedad durante el servicio. Tiéndalo de modo que no pueda ser
aplastado o dañado de forma alguna.
► Para evitar peligros, deje que personal cualifi cado repare el aparato en
caso de avería o diríjase al servicio de atención al cliente.
► En caso de una clavija de red dañada o cable de red dañado, encomiende
su sustitución a personal técnico autorizado o al servicio de posventa con
el fi n de evitar riesgos.
► No doble ni aplaste el cable de red.
► Antes de usar el aparato, compruebe si hay signos de datos externos
visibles. No ponga en servicio un aparato dañado o que haya caído.
► Bajo ningún concepto puede sumergir la cafetera en un líquido. El aparato
no debe estar expuesto a la humedad ni ser utilizado a la intemperie. Si
por cualquier motivo penetrase líquido en la carcasa del aparato, extraiga
la clavija de red de la base de enchufe y entrégueselo a personal especia-
lista cualifi cado para su reparación.
► Nunca toque la cafetera, el cable de red ni la clavija de red con las
manos mojadas.
► Extraiga siempre el cable de red del enchufe tirando de la clavija y nunca
directamente del propio cable.

¡ADVERTENCIA - PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► Nunca utilice la jarra de cristal de la cafetera dentro del microondas.
► No permita utilizar el aparato a personas (incluidos los niños) cuyas
facultades físicas, sensoriales o mentales, así como / su falta de conoci-
mientos o de experiencia, les impida hacer un uso seguro del mismo si no
están bajo vigilancia o han sido instruidos correctamente acerca del uso
del aparato.
► Vigile a los niños para asegurarse de que no juegan con el aparato.
► Nunca toque las superfi cies calientes de la cafetera, en especial la placa
de mantenimiento de calor y la jarra de cristal.
► Advertencia contra vapor saliente. ¡Peligro de quemaduras! Respete las
indicaciones de seguridad:
– No mantenga sus manos sobre el vapor de agua que se desprende.
– Antes de conectar el aparato cierre siempre la tapa, ya que de otro
modo existe peligro de quemaduras debido al vapor y al agua caliente que se desprenden.
► No mueva la cafetera durante el proceso de preparado.
► Extraiga la jarra sólo una vez que haya concluido el proceso de preparado
y el fi ltro se haya vaciado.
► Coloque el cable de red de modo que no pueda tropezar o pisarlo.
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
Nunca deje la cafetera desatendida durante el funcionamiento.
►
► No ponga nunca la cafetera en funcionamiento sin agua y no supere en
ningún caso la marca Max.
► No utilice ningún tipo de temporizador externo o un sistema de control
remoto para accionar el aparato.
► Cerciorase que el aparato, el cable de red o la clavija de red no entre
en contacto con fuentes calientes tale como placas de cocción o llamas
abiertas.

Volumen de suministro
El aparato se suministra de serie con los componentes siguientes:

ADVERTENCIA
Compruebe la integridad de suministro y si hay daños visibles.

► Si el suministro es incompleto o hay daños debido a un embalaje defi ciente
o al transporte, póngase en contacto con la línea directa de asistencia
(véase capítulo Asistencia técnica).
Descripción
Con la cafetera puede preparar café de fi ltro caliente. Puede mantener caliente
el café preparado con el aparato conectado y la jarra de cristal sobre la placa
de mantenimiento de calor.

Preparativos
Desembalar
♦ Extraiga todas las piezas del aparato y las instrucciones de uso del cartón.
♦ Retire todo el material de embalaje.
Evacuación del embalaje
El embalaje protege el aparato durante el transporte. El material de embalaje se
ha seleccionado teniendo en cuenta criterios ecológicos y de técnica de eliminación y por ello es reciclable.
La reintroducción del embalaje en el ciclo de materiales ahorra materias primas
y reduce el volumen de residuos. Evacue los materiales de embalaje que no
sean necesarios según las normativas locales aplicables.
ADVERTENCIA
Si es posible, conserve el embalaje original durante el periodo de garantía
►
del aparato para poder empaquetarlo correctamente en caso de aplica-
ción de la garantía.
Colocación y conexión
¡PELIGRO - DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
Bajo ningún concepto coloque la cafetera cerca del agua contenida en el
►
fregadero o en cualquier otro recipiente. Utilice la cafetera sólo sobre una
base seca. La proximidad del agua supone un peligro, incluso cuando el
aparato no está trabajando. Por ello, extraiga la clavija de red después de
cada uso.
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
Nunca coloque la cafetera cerca de fuentes de calor.
►
► Para evitar daños en el aparato y en la superfi cie de ubicación, coloque la
cafetera sobre una base plana y termorresistente.
1) Coloque el aparato sobre una superfi cie recta y termorresistente.
2) Coloque la jarra de cristal 7 sobre la placa de mantenimiento de calor 4
en el aparato.
3) A continuación conecte la clavija de red a una base de enchufe.

Manejo
Antes del primer uso
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
Nunca introduzca en el depósito del agua 2 una cantidad total de agua
►
superior a la equivalente para 10 tazas. No introduzca nunca menos agua
que el equivalente a 2 tazas en el depósito de agua 2. De lo contrario
se podría dañar la cafetera. Utilice el nivel de indicación de llenado en el
depósito de agua 2.
► Separe la cafetera de la red eléctrica inmediatamente después de su uso.
Solamente cuando ha extraído la clavija de red de la base de enchufe se
encuentra completamente sin corriente.
► Introduzca exclusivamente agua en el depósito de agua 2. De lo contrario
podría dañar la cafetera.
1) Lave bien la jarra de cristal 7 con agua del grifo.
2) Retire el soporte del fi ltro 8.
3) Reponga agua en el depósito de agua 2. Vuelva a vaciarlo, girando el
aparato y vertiendo su contenido de agua con cuidado en el lavabo. Seque
a continuación el aparato con cuidado.
4) Lave el soporte de fi ltro 8 con agua limpia y vuelva a insertarlo en el
aparato.
5) Llene la jarra de cristal 7 con agua para 10 tazas.
6) Llene el depósito de agua 2 por completo con agua.
7) Cierre la tapa 1, de modo que se aprecie como encastra.
8) Coloque la jarra de cristal vacía 7 sobre la placa de mantenimiento de
calor 4.
9) Inserte la clavija de red en una base de enchufe.
10) Encienda la cafetera con el interruptor de encendido/apagado 5. El piloto
integrado se ilumina. Espere hasta que el proceso de preparación haya
concluido.
11) Apague la cafetera con el interruptor de encendido/apagado 5. El piloto
integrado se apaga.
12) Vacíe la jarra de cristal 7 y limpiela conforme a lo indicado en el capítulo
"limpieza y cuidado".
13) Espere hasta que el aparato se haya enfriado.

Introducir el café molido
1) Abra la tapa 1.
2) Coloque un fi ltro de papel (tamaño 1 x 4) con los lados sin doblar en el
soporte de fi ltro 8.
3) Introduzca café molido usando la cuchara dosifi cadora 6.
INDICACIÓN
Introduzca con la cuchara dosifi cadora una cuchara rasa 6 de café
►
molido por cada taza de café fi ltrado. Si desea que el café de fi ltro sea
menos fuerte, puede reducir la cantidad de café molido por taza.
Introducir el agua
¡ADVERTENCIA - RIESGO PARA LA SALUD!
► ¡Use únicamente agua potable para preparar el café!
INDICACIÓN
Durante el hervido del café se pierde agua: por un lado evapora una par-
►
te del agua y por otro siempre queda un poco de agua en el café molido.
Por ello puede diferir ligeramente las indicaciones del nivel de llenado en
el depósito de agua 2 y en la jarra de cristal 7. La cantidad de agua
en el depósito de agua 2 en las marcas correspondiente es siempre algo
mayor que en las mismas marcas de la jarra de cristal 7.
La tapa 1 antes del llenado del café molido está abierta.
1) Llene con agua la jarra de cristal 7.
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
Nunca introduzca en el depósito del agua 2 una cantidad total de agua
►
superior a la equivalente para 10 tazas. No introduzca nunca menos
agua que el equivalente a 2 tazas en el depósito de agua 2.
Use la indicación de nivel de llenado en el depósito de agua 2.
2) Vierta el agua conforme a la cantidad de café de fi ltro deseado en el
depósito de agua 2. Use para ello la indicación del nivel de llenado en
el depósito de agua 2.
3) Cierre la tapa 1, de modo que se aprecie como encastra.

Encender y apagar
1) Cuando desee encender la cafetera pulse el interruptor de encendido/apagado
5. El piloto de control integrado se ilumina. El proceso de ebullición comienza.
2) Si quiere apagar la cafetera, vuelva a pulsar el interruptor de encendido/
apagado 5. El piloto integrado se apaga.
3) Si no va a utilizar la cafetera, extraiga siempre la clavija de red de la base
de enchufe.
INDICACIÓN
Si no desconecta la cafetera después del proceso de ebullición, el café se
►
mantendrá caliente en la placa de mantenimiento del calor 4.
INDICACIÓN
Espere como mínimo 10 minutos después de desconectar la cafetera antes
►
de iniciar un nuevo proceso de ebullición.
Limpieza y cuidado
Limpieza del aparato
Para conseguir siempre un sabor óptimo al preparar el café, debe limpiar la
cafetera después de cada uso.
¡PELIGRO - DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
¡Antes de limpiar el aparato, extraiga siempre la clavija de red de la base
►
de enchufe! ¡En caso contrario existe peligro de descarga eléctrica!
► No abra nunca las piezas de la carcasa. No existen elementos de mando
dentro. Con la carcasa abierta puede existir riesgo debido a descarga
eléctrica.
¡No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua ni en otros líquidos! Aquí se
puede producir peligro de muerte a causa de una descarga eléctrica
si penetran restos de líquidos sobre piezas sometidas a tensión.

► Antes de limpiar el aparato, deje que se enfríe completamente. ¡Peligro de
quemaduras!
No utilice productos de limpieza agresivos ni abrasivos. Éstos pueden
►
dañar la superfi cie y estropear el aparato irreparablemente.
► No utilice ningún producto de limpieza cortantes o puntiagudos para
eliminar la suciedad. Con ello podría dañar la cafetera.

■ Retire la clavija de red de la base del enchufe.
■ Limpie la carcasa de la cafetera con un paño húmedo. En caso de suciedad
endurecida, añada al paño un detergente suave.
■ Limpie la jarra de cristal 7, el soporte del fi ltro 8 y la cuchara dosifi cadora
6 con agua caliente. En caso necesario añada un poco de detergente
suave. Lave a continuación todas las piezas con agua limpia de modo que
no quede ningún resto de detergente.
■ Seque el aparato y todas las pieza bien antes de volver a usar el aparato.
Descalcifi car
El contenido de cal (grado de dureza) del agua lleva a la calcifi cación de la
cafetera a lo largo de su uso. La cal perjudica el funcionamiento del aparato y
disminuye la calidad del café de fi ltro preparado.
INDICACIÓN
Infórmese en su empresa proveedora de agua, acerca de la dureza del
►
agua del grifo. Deberá realizar la descalcifi cación más pronto si el grado de
dureza es alto y más tarde si el grado de dureza es bajo. Utilice un descalcifi cador para aparatos domésticos y tenga en cuenta su modo de empleo.
1) Desconecte la cafetera y deje que se enfríe completamente.
2) Utilice producto descalfi cante de uso comercial para cafeteras: Mezcle el
producto descalcifi cante con agua. Siga las instrucciones del manual de
usuario del producto de descalcifi cante.
3) Llene el depósito de agua 2 hasta la marca de 8 tazas con la mezcla de
producto descalcifi cante y agua.
4) Coloque la jarra de cristal 7 sobre la placa de mantenimiento del calor 4.
5) Encienda la cafetera con el interruptor de encendido/apagado 5.
6) Espere hasta que el proceso de preparación haya concluido. Si no va a
utilizar la cafetera, apaguela y extraiga siempre la clavija de red de la base
de enchufe.
7) Lave bien la jarra de cristal 7 con agua del grifo.
8) Llene el depósito de agua 2 con agua.
9) Vuelva a vaciar el depósito de agua 2, volcando ligeramente el aparato
sobre un lavabo. Preste atención que no se desprenda el soporte del fi ltro 8.
10) A continuación deje funcionar la cafetera un par de veces sólo con agua,
como se describe en el capítulo “Antes del primer uso“.

Después de esto puede utilizar de nuevo la cafetera.

Conservación
■ Limpie el aparato a fondo antes de guardarlo.
■ Si no va utilizar el aparato durante un tiempo prolongado, deslice el cable
de red en el compartimiento para guardar el cable 3 en la parte posterior
de la cafetera. Fije la clavija de red en los orifi cios sobre el compartimiento
para guardar el cable 3.
■ Guarde el aparato en un lugar limpio y seco.

En ningún caso deberá tirar el aparato con la basura doméstica.
Este producto está sujeto a la directiva europea 2002/96/EC.
Evacue el aparato en un centro de evacuación autorizado a través de las ins-
talaciones de evacuación comunitarias. Preste atención a las normas en vigor.
En caso de duda póngase en contacto con las instalaciones municipales de
evacuación de residuos.

sido fabricado cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes de su entrega.
Guarde el comprobante de caja como justifi cante de compra. Si necesitara
hacer uso de la garantía, póngase en contacto por teléfono con su punto de
servicio habitual. Este es el único modo de garantizar un envío gratuito.
INDICACIÓN
La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación o del material, pero no los

daños de transporte, ni las piezas sujetas a desgaste y los daños sufridos
por las piezas frágiles (p. ej. el interruptor o las pilas).

Esta garantía no reduce en forma alguna sus derechos legales. El tiempo de garantia no se prolonga debido a prestaciones de garantía. Esto es válido también
para piezas sustituidas y reparadas.
Los posibles defectos o daños detectados al desembalar el aparato se han de
notifi car de inmediato o como muy tarde 2 días desde la fecha de compra.

Safety instructions
In this chapter you will be given important safety information regarding the
handling of the appliance.
This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations.
Incorrect usage can, however, lead to personal injury and property damage.
For safe handling of the appliance pay heed to the following safety information:
RISK - ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Connect the coff ee machine only to correctly installed and earthed power
►
sockets. Ensure that the voltage supplied through the power socket tallies
completely with the details given on the appliance rating plate.
► Remove the plug from the mains power socket when you move the coff ee
machine, fi ll it with water, if it malfunctions, before cleaning it and when it
is not in use.
► Ensure that the power cable can never becomes wet or damp during opera-
tion. Lay the cable so that it cannot be trapped or otherwise damaged.
► To avoid potential risks, arrange for a defective appliance to be checked
and possibly repaired by qualifi ed technicians, or contact our Customer
Service Department.
► To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or cables to be replaced at
once by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.
► Do not fold or crush the power cable.
► Before use check the appliance for signs of visible external damage. Do
not put into operation an appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
► Under no circumstance may the coff ee machine be submersed in liquids.
Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors.
Should liquids permeate into the housing, unplug the appliance from the
mains power source immediately and arrange for it to be repaired by a
qualifi ed technician.
► Never touch the coff ee machine, the power cable or the plug when your
hands are wet.
► To disconnect, always remove the plug itself from the mains power socket,
do not pull on the power cable.

► NEVER use the glass jug of the coff ee machine in a microwave oven.
► This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with
restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences in expe-
rience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible
for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is
to be used.
► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appli-
ance.
► NEVER touch the hot surfaces of the coff ee machine, especially the keep-
warm plate and the glass jug.
► Warning about escaping steam. Risk of scalding! Please follow the safety
instructions
– Do not hold your hands in the rising steam.
– Always close the lid before switching on, there exists a risk of scalds
from escaping steam and hot water.
► Do not move the coff ee machine during the brewing process.
► Remove the jug fi rst when the brewing process is complete and the fi lter
has fully drained itself.
► Lay the power cable in such a way that no one can tread on or trip over it.

Do not leave the coff ee machine unattended when it is in use.

► NEVER operate the coff ee machine without mains water and NEVER fi ll it to
more than the Max. marking.
► Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to
operate the appliance.
► Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and the plug do not come into
contact with hot plates or open fl ames.

Description
You can prepare hot fi lter coff ee with the coff ee machine. The brewed coff ee can
be kept warm in the jug by leaving it on the keep-warm plate with the appliance
switched on.

Unpacking
♦ Remove all components of the appliance and the operating manual from
the carton.
♦ Remove all packing material.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated.Dispose of packaging material that is no
longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible, preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
►
period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appliance
ideally for its return.
Setting up and connecting to the power supply
RISK - ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Under no circumstances should the appliance be located close to water,
►
especially to fi lled sinks and other waterfi lled vessels. Use the coff ee
machine only on a thoroughly dry surface. The proximity of water
presents a danger, even when the appliance is switched off . After use,
always disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.

► Never locate the coff ee machine close to sources of heat.
► To avoid damage to the appliance and the location area, use the coff ee
machine only on a fl at and heat-resistant surface.
1) Place the appliance on a dry and heat-resistant surface.
2) Place the glass jug 7 on the keep-warm plate 4 in the appliance.
3) Finally, insert the plug into the power socket.

Operation
Before the fi rst usage

Never fi ll the water tank 2 with a total volume of more than 10 cups of wa-
►
ter. Never pour less than 2 cups of water in the water tank 2. Doing so may
damage the coff ee maker. Use the water level indicator on the water tank 2.
► Disconnect the coff ee machine immediately after use. The appliance is com-
pletely free of electrical power ONLY when it is unplugged.
► Fill the water tank 2 with water only. Otherwise, the coff ee maker may be
damaged.
1) Carefully rinse the glass jug 7 with mains water.
2) Remove the fi lter holder 8.
3) Pour water into the water tank 2. Empty the water tank, in that you carefully
tip the appliance over a sink and pour the water out. Then carefully dry the
appliance.
4) Rinse the fi lter holder 8 with clean water and place it back into the appliance.
5) Fill the glass jug 7 with 10 cups of water.
6) Completely fi ll the water tank 2 with the water.
7) Close the lid 1, ensuring that it engages.
8) Place the emptied glass jug 7 onto the keep-warm plate 4.
9) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
10) Switch the coff ee machine on with the On/Off switch 5. The integrated
control lamp glows. Wait until the brewing process is complete.
11) Switch the coff ee machine off with the On/Off switch 5. The integrated
control lamp goes out.
12) Empty the glass jug 7 and clean it as described in the section "Cleaning
and Care".
13) Wait until the appliance has cooled down.

Filling with ground coff ee
1) Open the lid 1.
2) Place a paper fi lter bag (size 1 x 4) with folded over sides into the fi lter
holder 8.
3) Fill it with the required amount of coff ee powder using the measuring
spoon 6.
NOTICE
Fill it with approx one levelled measuring spoon 6 of ground coff ee for
►
each cup of fi lter coff ee. Should you prefer a weaker coff ee, reduce the
amount of ground coff ee being used.
Filling with water
WARNING - HEALTH RISK!
► Use only drinking water for preparing the coff ee!
NOTICE
When brewing coff ee some water is lost: a part of the water evaporates
►
as steam and some water always remains in the coff ee powder. For this
reason, the level indicators on the water tank 2 and on the glass jug 7
are slightly diff erent. The amount of water in the water tank 2 is, in respect
of the markings, always somewhat more than the same marking on the
glass jug 7.
The lid 1 is still open after fi lling it with coff ee powder.
1) Fill the glass jug 7 with water.

Use the water level indicator on the water tank 2.
2) Pour the amount of water into the water tank 2 appropriate to the desired
amount of brewed coff ee. For this, use the water level indicator on the water
tank 2.
3) Close the lid 1, ensuring that it engages.

Switching On and Off
1) When you are ready to switch the coff ee machine on, press the On/Off
switch 5. The integrated control lamp glows. The brewing process begins.
2) When you are ready to switch the coff ee machine off , press the On/Off
switch 5 once again. The integrated control lamp extinguishes.
3) Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket if you are intending to
discontinue using the coff ee machine.
NOTICE
If you do not switch the coff ee machine off after the brewing process is
►
complete, the coff ee will be kept warm on the keep-warm plate 4.
NOTICE
Wait for at least 10 minutes, after you have switched the coff ee machine
►
off , before you start a new brew.
Cleaning and Care
Cleaning the appliance
In order to obtain an optimal taste result from every brewing process you should
clean the coff ee machine after every use.
RISK - ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket!
►
There is the risk of receiving an electric shock!
► Do not open any part of the housing. There are no user-serviceable ele-
ments inside. An open housing will create the risk of a potentially fatal
electrical shock.
NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! This would
incur the risk of a potentially fatal electrical shock should liquids come
into contact with powered components.

► Let the appliance cool suffi ciently before cleaning it. Risk of Burns!
Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning materials. These could attack
►
the upper surfaces and irreparably damage the appliance.
► Do not use sharp or pointed objects to remove soiling. These could
damage the appliance.

■ Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.
■ Wipe the housing of the coff ee machine with a damp cloth. For stubborn
soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.
■ Clean the glass jug 7, the fi lter holder 8 and the measuring spoon 6 with
warm water. If need be, use also a mild detergent. Afterwards, rinse all parts
with clean water to ensure that all detergent residues are washed away.
■ Dry the appliance and all parts well before re-use.
Scale removal
The mineral content (hardness) in the water causes, over a period of time, a
calcifi cation of the coff ee machine. This calcifi cation impairs the appliance in
its function and diminishes the quality of the brewed fi lter coff ee.
NOTICE
Enquire at your local waterworks about the hardness level of your mains
►
water. The need for decalcifi cation comes early in hard water areas,
somewhat later in soft water areas. Use a decalcifi er designed for household appliances and pay heed to the usage instructions.
1) Switch the coff ee machine off and allow it to cool down completely.
2) Use a commercial descaling product for coff ee machines: Mix the descaling
agent with water. Thereby, pay heed to the usage instructions supplied with
the descaling product.
3) Fill the water tank 2 to the 8-cup marking with the descaler and water
mixture.
4) Place the glass jug 7 on the keep-warm plate 4.
5) Switch the coff ee machine on with the On/Off switch 5.
6) Wait until the brewing process is complete. Switch the coff ee machine off
and disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.
7) Carefully rinse the glass jug 7 with water.
8) Fill the water tank 2 with drinking water.
9) Empty the water tank 2 again, in that you gently tip the appliance over the
sink. Thereby ensure that the fi lter holder 8 does not fall out.
10) To fi nish, carry out two brewing processes with just drinking water, as described in the section "Before the fi rst usage".

When completed, you can continue to use the coff ee machine.

Storage
■ Clean the appliance thoroughly before putting it into storage.
■ If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, slide
the power cable into the cable storage compartment 3 at the rear of
the coff ee machine. Secure the plug in the holes above the cable storage
compartment 3.
■ Store the appliance at a clean and dry location.

Schließen Sie die Kaff eemaschine nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte

Typenschild angegebene Spannung mit der Spannung der Netzsteckdose
übereinstimmt.
► Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose, wenn Sie die Kaff ee-
maschine bewegen, befüllen, bei Störungen, bevor Sie die Kaff eemaschine
reinigen oder wenn Sie sie nicht gebrauchen.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals nass oder

► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort von autorisier-

► Knicken oder quetschen Sie das Netzkabel nicht.
► Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere sichtbare

Vorbereitungen
Auspacken
♦ Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem
Karton.
♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
HINWEIS
Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während der Garan-

tiezeit des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall ordnungsgemäß
verpacken zu können.
Aufstellen und anschließen

Stellen Sie die Kaff eemaschine keinesfalls in der Nähe von Wasser auf,

das in Spülbecken oder anderen Gefäßen enthalten ist. Benutzen Sie die
Kaff eemaschine nur auf einer trockenen Unterlage. Die Nähe von Wasser
stellt eine Gefahr dar, auch wenn das Gerät nicht arbeitet. Ziehen Sie
daher nach jedem Gebrauch den Netzstecker.

► Stellen Sie die Kaff eemaschine niemals in der Nähe von Wärmequellen auf.
► Benutzen Sie die Kaff eemaschine nur auf einer ebenen und hitzeunempfi ndli-
chen Unterlage, um Schäden am Gerät und der Standfl äche zu vermeiden.
1) Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine ebene und hitzeunempfi ndliche Oberfl äche.
2) Stellen Sie die Glaskanne 7 auf die Warmhalteplatte 4 in das Gerät.
3) Stecken Sie anschließend den Netzstecker in die Netzsteckdose.

Bedienen
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
Füllen Sie niemals mehr als eine Gesamtmenge für 10 Tassen Wasser in den

Wassertank 2 ein. Füllen Sie nie weniger Wasser, als für 2 Tassen in den
Wassertank 2. Andernfalls könnte die Kaff eemaschine beschädigt werden.
Nutzen Sie die Füllstandanzeige am Wassertank 2.
► Trennen Sie die Kaff eemaschine sofort nach dem Gebrauch vom Stromnetz.
Nur wenn Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose ziehen, ist sie vollstän-
dig stromfrei.
► Füllen Sie ausschließlich Wasser in den Wassertank 2. Andernfalls könnten
Sie die Kaff eemaschine beschädigen.
1) Spülen Sie die Glaskanne 7 sorgfältig mit Wasser aus.
2) Nehmen Sie den Filterhalter 8 heraus.
3) Füllen Sie Wasser in den Wassertank 2. Entleeren Sie ihn wieder, in dem
Sie das Gerät über einem Spülbecken vorsichtig umdrehen und das Wasser
auskippen. Trocknen Sie das Gerät danach sorgfältig ab.
4) Spülen Sie den Filterhalter 8 mit klarem Wasser aus und setzen Sie ihn
wieder in das Gerät ein.
5) Befüllen Sie die Glaskanne 7 mit Wasser für 10 Tassen.
6) Füllen Sie das Wasser vollständig in den Wassertank 2.
7) Schließen Sie den Deckel 1, so dass er spürbar einrastet.
8) Stellen Sie die geleerte Glaskanne 7 auf der Warmhalteplatte 4 ab.
9) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteckdose.
10) Schalten Sie die Kaff eemaschine am Ein-/Ausschalter 5 ein. Die integrierte
Kontrollleuchte leuchtet. Warten Sie, bis der Brühvorgang abgeschlossen ist.
11) Schalten Sie die Kaff eemaschine am Ein-/Ausschalter 5 aus. Die integrierte
Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
12) Entleeren Sie die Glaskanne 7 und reinigen Sie sie, wie im Kapitel „Reini-
gung und Pfl ege“ beschrieben.
13) Warten Sie, bis sich das Gerät abgekühlt hat.

Gemahlenen Kaff ee einfüllen
1) Öff nen Sie den Deckel 1.
2) Legen Sie eine Filtertüte (Größe 1 x 4) mit umgeknickten Seiten in den
Filterhalter 8.
3) Füllen Sie mit dem Messlöff el 6 Kaff eepulver ein.
HINWEIS
Füllen Sie ca. einen gestrichenen Messlöff el 6 gemahlenen Kaff ee pro

Tasse Filterkaff ee ein. Soll der Filterkaff ee schwächer sein, können Sie die
Menge gemahlenen Kaff ees pro Tasse reduzieren.
Wasser einfüllen
WARNUNG - GESUNDHEITSGEFÄHRDUNG!
► Benutzen Sie nur Trinkwasser zur Zubereitung des Kaff ees!
HINWEIS
Beim Brühen des Kaff ees geht Wasser verloren: zum einem verdampft ein
►
Teil des Wassers und zum anderen bleibt immer etwas Wasser im Kaff eepulver zurück. Daher sind die Füllstandsanzeigen am Wassertank 2 und
an der Glaskanne 7 etwas unterschiedlich. Die Menge des Wassers im
Wassertank 2 ist bei den jeweiligen Markierungen immer etwas mehr, als
bei der gleichen Markierung in der Glaskanne 7.
Der Deckel 1 ist noch vom Einfüllen des Kaff eepulvers geöff net.
1) Füllen Sie die Glaskanne 7 mit Wasser.

1) Wenn Sie die Kaff eemaschine einschalten möchten, drücken Sie den Ein-/
Ausschalter 5. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte leuchtet. Der Brühvorgang
beginnt.
2) Wenn Sie die Kaff eemaschine ausschalten möchten, drücken Sie den Ein-/
Ausschalter 5 noch einmal. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
3) Wenn Sie die Kaff eemaschine nicht benutzen, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker
aus der Netzsteckdose.
HINWEIS
Wenn Sie die Kaff eemaschine, nachdem der Brühvorgang beendet ist, nicht

ausschalten, wird der Kaff ee auf der Warmhalteplatte 4 warmgehalten.
HINWEIS
Warten Sie mindestens 10 Minuten, nachdem Sie die Kaff eemaschine

Gerät reinigen
Damit Sie beim Aufbrühen immer ein optimales Geschmacksergebnis erzielen,
sollten Sie die Kaff eemaschine nach jeder Benutzung reinigen.

Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose!

Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten!

Entkalken
Der Kalkgehalt (Härtegrad) im Wasser führt im Laufe der Benutzung zum Verkalken der Kaff eemaschine. Der Kalk beeinträchtigt das Gerät in seiner Funktion
und vermindert die Qualität des aufgebrühten Filterkaff ees.
HINWEIS
1) Schalten Sie die Kaff eemaschine aus und lassen Sie sie vollständig abkühlen.
2) Verwenden Sie ein handelsübliches Entkalkungsmittel für Kaff eemaschinen:
3) Füllen Sie den Wassertank 2 bis zur 8-Tassen-Markierung mit dem
