This appliance is guaranteed for 3 years from the date of purchase. It has
been carefully produced and meticulously checked before delivery. Please
keep your receipt as proof of purchase. Contact your service centre by
telephone in case of questions pertaining to the warranty. Your goods can
be transmitted free of cost only in this manner.
The warranty covers only material or manufacturing faults, not normal wear
or damage to fragile parts such as switches or rechargeable batteries. The appliance is intended solely for private, not commercial, use. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or interventions not carried out by one of our authorised sales and service outlets, the warranty
will be considered void. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
This warranty applies only to the initial purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Safety instructions
Place the MP3-CD player, be it for stationary use, - e.g. at home – or when en route, on a level, smooth non-slip base so that the MP3-CD player cannot slip. This applies particularly when the
MP3-CD player is operated in a car.
To prevent damage, functional interference and the danger of an electric shock do not use the set

n the immediate vicinity of heat sources such as stoves, fan heaters and similar appli- ances! Exposure to heat can cause the set to overheat and the risk of melting plastic parts, thereby causing irreparable damage!
Do not leave the MP3-CD player at high temperatures in the car, particularly on sunny days when the interior of the car can become very hot!
Ensure that the MP3-CD player is not exposed to direct sunlight in a car (e.g. directly behind the windscreen).
Danger!
Set overheating gives rise to the danger of a fire!
• … in damp surroundings, for instance in basements or in a sauna! Moisture entering the MP3­CD player can cause functional problems and irreparable damage!
… not in the immediate vicinity of water, for instance in a bathroom or near a swimming pool. Never place any water-filled containers, for instance a flower vase, on the MP3-CD player.
Do not place open flames (e.g. burning candles) on the MP3-CD player. This could cause a fire!
Moisture entering the MP3-CD player can result in the danger of electric shock!

The MP3-CD player and its components contain no user serviceable parts. The warranty is voided if the casing of the MP3-CD player is opened! For repairs, please contact your near­est service partner. The addresses of our service partners are found at the end of these op­erating instructions.

Battery acid could leak out, especially if the batteries are old. Therefore you should remove all batteries if you do not use the MP3-CD player for long periods of time. This can protect the MP3-CD player from damages resulting from leaked battery acid.

Playback of audio CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs with data in audio-CD format (.cda) and MP3 format (.mp3) up to 256 kbps.

Electronic digital anti-shock system with 60 seconds (conventional audio CDs) and
100 seconds (MP3 CDs) interim storage.
Track name display with up to 11 characters (ISO Level 1) or 31 characters (ISO Level II).
Automatic display of title information (“ID 3 tags”).
Skip and fast search function forward/back
Program function for individually programmed track compilations
Repeat functions for repeated playback of individual tracks, programmed track compila­tions, directories and all CD tracks.
Shuffle function for random playback.
Intro Play to playback the beginning of all CD tracks
Bass Boost System.
Automatic switch-off (30 seconds).
Battery change indication on the LCD display.
