Thank you very much for buying this SHARP product. Before using your SHARP refrigerator, please read

this operation manual to ensure that you gain the maximum benefit from it. Household use only

••This refrigerator is for household only, with ambient temperature between +5°C and +43°C.

The refrigerator should not be subjected to temperatures of -10°C or below for a long period of time.

WARNING

CAUTION

■■ This refrigerator contains flammable refrigerant (R600a: isobutane) and insulation blowing gas (cyclopentane). Observe the following rules to prevent ignition and explosion.

•• The refrigeration system behind and inside the refrigerator contains refrigerant. Do not allow any sharp objects to come into contact with the refrigeration system.

•• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process. (This refrigerator has adopted automatic defrosting system.)

•• Do not use electric appliances inside the refrigerator.

•• Use only the specified parts for the refrigerator compartment light.

•• Do not block the openings on the circumference of the refrigerator.

•• Do not use flammable sprays, such as spray paint near the refrigerator. It may cause explosion or fire.

•• If the refrigeration system should get punctured, do not touch the wall outlet and do not use open flames. Open the window and air out the room. Then ask a service agent approved by SHARP for servicing.

•• This refrigerator should be disposed appropriately. Take the refrigerator to a recycling plant for flammable refrigerant and insulation blowing gases.

■■ Do not store highly volatile and flammable materials such as ether, petrol, propane gas, aerosol cans, adhesive agents and pure alcohol etc.

These materials are liable to explode.

■■ Dust deposited on the power plug may cause fire. Wipe it off carefully.

■■ Do not attempt to change or modify this refrigerator. This may result in fire, electric shock or injury.

■■ Ensure that the refrigerator presents no danger to children while being stored for disposal. (e.g. remove the magnetic door seals to prevent child entrapment.)

■■ Do not touch the compressor unit or its peripheral parts, as they become extremely hot during operation and the metal edges may cause injury.

■■ Do not touch foods or metal containers in the freezer compartment with your wet hands. This may cause frostbite.

■■ Do not use an extension cord or adapter plug.

■■ Do not place bottled and canned drinks in the freezer as they may crack when frozen.

■■ Make sure that the power cord has not been damaged during installation or moving. If the power plug or cord is loose, do not insert the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.

■■ Disconnect from the mains electricity supply by removing the mains plug from the electricity supply socket. Do not remove by pulling the mains lead. This may cause electric shock or fire.

■■ Should the flexible supply cord be damaged, it must be replaced by service agent approved by SHARP as a special cord is required.

■■ In case of gas leak, ventilate the area by opening a window, etc. Do not touch the refrigerator or the power outlet.

■■ Do not place objects containing liquid or unsteady objects on top of refrigerator.

■■ This refrigerator is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use

of the refrigerator by a person responsible for their safety. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the refrigerator.

■■Do not install the refrigerator in a damp or wet location as this may cause damage to the insulation and a leakage.. Condensation may also build on the outer cabinet and cause rust..

1 Keep adequate ventilation space around the refrigerator.

••The figure shows the minimum required space for installing the refrigerator. The measurement condition of power consumption is conducted under a different space dimension.

••By keeping greater space, the refrigerator may be operated under a less amount of power consumption.

••If using the refrigerator in the smaller space dimension than the below figure, it may cause the temperature rise in the unit, loud noise and failure.

2 Use the two front adjustable feet, to ensure that the refrigerator is positioned firmly and flat on the floor.

4 Remove the 4 screws of the cabinet lower part, and then set the foot cover (supplied inside the refrigerator compartment) with removed 4 screws.

NOTE

••Position your refrigerator so that the plug is accessible.

••Keep your refrigerator out of direct sunlight.

••Do not place next to heat generating appliance.

••Do not place directly on the ground. Provide suitable stand.

••To insert the power plug when the door is opened, door alarm sounds but it is not abnormal. This sound stops when closing the door.

Before using your refrigerator

Clean the inside parts with a cloth soaked in warm water. If soapy water is used, wipe it off thoroughly with water.

INDICATOR OF TEMPERATURE

This refrigerator is provided with an indicator of temperature in the refrigerator compartment to allow you to control the average temperature in the coldest zone.

Checking the temperature in the coldest zone

You can carry out regular checks to ensure the temperature in the coldest zone is correct and, if necessary, adjust the refrigerator temp. control.

To maintain a correct temperature inside the appliance, check that the indicator of temperature is always BLUE.

If the indicator of temperature turns WHITE, the temperature is too high; in this case, increase the refrigerator temp. control setting and wait for 6 hours before checking the indicator of temperature again.

••The internal temperature of the refrigerator depends on various factors such as the ambient temperature of the room, the amount of food stored and the frequency of door opening.

••When fresh food has been introduced or the door has been left open for some time, it is normal for the indicator of temperature to turn WHITE.

••When either of the button is pressed, the icons are blink once and show the standby display. When the refrigerator stops with power failure, the display shows similarly as before having a power failure at the time of re-power distribution. However, when it has a power failure

during operation of Express Freezing,

the operation is stopped at the time of re-power distribution.

••At first, the sound is set “ON”.

••Use this feature when you want to switch the sound of button operation to “ON” or “OFF”.

OPERATION

Plasmacluster

The ionizer inside your refrigerator releases clusters of ions, which are collective masses of positive and negative ions, into the refrigerator compartment.

These ion clusters inactivate airborne mold fungus.

3 Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth each time it is soiled.

4 Clean the Magnetic door seal with a toothbrush and warm soapy dishwashing water.

5 Wipe the control panel with the dry cloth.

Ionizador “Plasmacluster”

El ionizador del interior de su frigorífico libera grupos de iones, que son masas colectivas de iones positivos y negativos, al compartimiento del frigorífico. Estos grupos de iones reducen los hongos de moho del aire.

Esta es la guía bajo la condición de tener la temperatura preestablecida a 3 °C (frigorífico) y -18 °C (congelador).

La pantalla de temperatura preestablecida no cambiará.

••La eficiencia del ahorro de energía depende del entorno de uso (temperatura ambiental, frecuencia con la que se abre o cierra la puerta, cantidad de alimentos).

••Cancele esta función cuando sienta que las bebidas no se enfrían lo suficiente o cuando tarda más tiempo en producir hielo.

••La temperatura del compartimiento del frigorífico no se puede modificar. (Se indican “10 ºC” en la pantalla).

Alarma de la puerta

••La alarma de la puerta sonará 1 minuto después de haber abierto la puerta y de nuevo después de 1 minuto (una vez en cada caso).

••Si se deja la puerta abierta durante aproximadamente 3 minutos, la alarma sonará continuamente.

La refrigeración enlentece el proceso por el cual se estropean los alimentos. Para maximizar la vida útil de los productos alimenticios perecederos, asegúrese de que la comida que compra sea lo más fresca posible. A continuación se dan unas guías generales para poder guardar los alimentos el mayor tiempo posible.

Frutas / Vegetales

Para minimizar la pérdida de humedad, las frutas y verduras deben ser envueltas en un material plástico sin ser apretadas, por ejemplo envoltorios o bolsas (sin sellar) y deben colocarse en el cajón para verduras o en el compartimento para fruta.

Si guarda una gran cantidad de verduras, puede formarse condensación. Ello no tendrá efecto alguno en el funcionamiento ni en el rendimiento. Utilice un paño seco para eliminar la condensación.

Productos lácteos y huevos

••La mayoría de los productos lácteos tienen una fecha de caducidad impresa en el envoltorio que indica la vida útil y temperatura de conservación recomendada del producto.

••Coloque los huevos en la huevera.

Carne / Pescado / Aves

••Coloque el producto en un plato o una bandeja y cúbralo con papel o una lámina de plástico.

••Coloque piezas grandes de carne, pescado o aves lo más atrás posible en las estanterías.

••Asegúrese de que cuando guarde comida ya cocinada esté bien envuelta o guardada en contenedores herméticos.

••Coloque de manera balanceada la comida en los estantes para permitir que el aire frío circule eficientemente.

••Los alimentos calientes deben enfriarse antes de colocarlos en el frigorífico. Si coloca alimentos calientes se eleva la temperatura de la unidad y aumenta el riesgo de que se estropeen.

••No bloquee la salida ni la entrada del circuito de circulación de aire frío con alimentos ni recipientes, de lo contrario los alimentos no se enfriarían de forma uniforme en el frigorífico.

••Mantenga bien cerrada la puerta.

No coloque los alimentos directamente delante de la salida de aire frío. Esto puede hacer que se congelen.

••La comida debe ser fresca.

••Congele la comida en porciones pequeñas para congelarla más rápido.

••La comida debe estar correctamente envuelta, sellada herméticamente o cubierta.

••Distribuya los contenidos del congelador uniformemente.

••Ponga etiquetas en las bolsas o contenedores para mantener un inventario de lo que tenga congelado.

CUIDADOS Y LIMPIEZA

■■ No vierta agua directamente en el compartimiento exterior ni en el interior.. Esto puede producir la oxidación y deterioro del aislamiento eléctrico..

IMPORTANTE

Para evitar el agrietamiento de las superficies internas y en los componentes de plástico, siga estos consejos..

••Limpie cualquier grasa o aceite procedente de los alimentos que se haya quedado adherida a los componentes de plástico.

••Algunos químicos domésticos podrían ocasionar daños, así que utilice solamente líquido de limpieza diluido (agua jabonosa).

••Si utiliza detergente no diluido o si no se quita completamente el agua enjabonada, esto puede producir la rotura de las partes de plástico.

1 Retire los accesorios, por ejemplo, la estantería del frigorífico desmontable y el botellero. Lávelos en agua tibia jabonosa mezclada con lavavajillas, enjuáguelos con agua limpia y séquelos.

2 Limpie el interior con un paño humedecido en agua caliente con jabón lavavajillas. Luego, utilice agua fría para quitar el agua enjabonada.

3 Limpie el exterior con un paño suave cada vez que se ensucie.

4 Limpiar el cierre magnético de la puerta con un cepillo de dientes y agua caliente con detergente para lavavajillas.

5 Limpie el panel de control con un paño seco.

NOTAS

••Para evitar daños a su frigorífico, no utilice limpiadores o disolventes agresivos (laca, pintura, pulimento, bencina, agua hervida, etc.).

••Si se desconecta la alimentación accidentalmente, espere 5 minutos por lo menos antes de conectarlo de nuevo.

••Las estanterías de vidrio pesan aproximadamente 3kg cada una.

Sosténgalas firmemente cuando las retire del interior o desee transportarlas.

••No deje caer objetos dentro del frigorífico ni golpeé la pared interior. Esto puede ocasionar el agrietamiento de la superficie interior.

Descongelacion

La descongelación se realiza de forma totalmente automática debido a un sistema exclusivo de ahorro de energía.

Cuando la luz del compartimiento se funde

Póngase en contacto con un agente de servicio aprobado por SHARP para solicitar la sustitución de la luz del compartimiento. La luz del compartimiento no debe ser sustituida por nadie más que por el personal de servicio.

Cuando se transporta

••Seque cualquier residuo de agua que haya en la bandeja de evaporación.

Antes de secar los residuos de agua, espere al menos 1 hora antes de desenchufar la clavija ya que el equipo del ciclo de refrigeración está extremadamente caliente.

(La bandeja de evaporación está ubicada en la parte trasera del producto.)

Si tiene que desconectar el frigorífico porque va a estar fuera de casa durante un largo tiempo, vacíelo completamente de comida y limpie a fondo el interior. Desenchufe el cable de alimentación de la toma de la pared y deje ambas puertas abiertas.

Sugerencias para ahorrar energía

■■ Mantenga un espacio de ventilación adecuado alrededor del frigorífico.

■■ Mantenga el frigorífico alejado de la luz solar directa y no lo coloque junto a aparatos generadores de calor.

■■ Abra la puerta del frigorífico el menor tiempo posible.

■■ Los alimentos calientes deben enfriarse antes de colocarlos en el frigorífico.

■■ Coloque de manera uniforme la comida en los estantes para permitir que el aire frío circule eficientemente.

•• Non utilizzare spray infiammabili, come vernici spray vicino al frigorifero. Potrebbe causare esplosioni o incendi.

•• Se il sistema di refrigerazione viene forato, non toccare la presa a parete e non utilizzare fiamme aperte. Aprire la finestra e lasciare entrare l'aria nella stanza. Rivolgersi quindi a un centro di assistenza approvato da SHARP per richiedere la riparazione.

•• Il frigorifero deve essere smaltito in modo appropriato. Portare il frigorifero in un impianto di riciclaggio per il refrigerante infiammabile e I gas di isolamento esplosivi.

■■ Non riporre materiali infiammabili e altamente volatili come etere, benzina, gas propano, bombolette spray, collanti, alcool puro, ecc. Questi materiali potrebbero provocare esplosioni.

■■ Residui eccessivi di polvere sulla spina possono essere causa di incendio. Tenete pulita la spina spolverandola regolarmente con cura.

■■ Evitare di collocare bevande in bottiglia o in lattina nel freezer, poiché potrebbero esplodere con il freddo.

■■ Assicurarsi che il cavo di alimentazione non sia stato danneggiato durante l’installazione o lo spostamento. Se la spina o il cavo di alimentazione sono allentati, non inserire la spina di alimentazione. Ciò comporta il rischio di scosse elettriche o incendi.

■■ Quando staccate la spina per l’alimentazione elettrica, non tirate il filo ma la spina. Anche tirando il cavo si corre il rischio di shock elettrico o di incendio.

INDICATORE DELLA TEMPERATURA

Questo frigorifero è dotato di un indicatore della temperatura nello scomparto congelatore, per consentire di controllare la temperatura media nella zona più fredda.

Il simbolo indica la zona più fredda dello scomparto congelatore. (Il balconcino sportello posto alla stessa altezza non è la zona più fredda.)

Controllo della temperatura nella zona più fredda

È possibile eseguire controlli regolari per assicurarsi che la temperatura della zona più fredda sia corretta e, se necessario, regolare il controllo della temperatura del frigorifero.

Per mantenere una temperatura corretta all’interno dell’apparecchio, controllare che l’indicatore della temperatura sia sempre BLU. Se l’indicatore della temperatura diventa BIANCO, la temperatura è troppo elevata; in questo caso, aumentare l’impostazione del controllo della temperatura

del frigorifero e attendere 6 ore prima di controllare di nuovo l’indicatore della temperatura.

NOTA

••La temperatura interna del frigorifero dipende da vari fattori, come la temperatura del locale, la quantità di cibo conservata e la frequenza di apertura dello sportello.

••Se si è introdotto cibo da poco o se si è lasciato lo sportello aperto per un certo tempo, è normale che l’indicatore della temperatura diventi BIANCO.

Unità di deodorizzazione

Un catalizzatore di deodorizzazione è installato nel percorso del flusso d’aria fredda. Non sono necessarie manutenzione e pulizia.

È possibile conservare una maggiore quantità di alimenti estraendo, con debito raffreddamento, gli accessori interni.

••Le funzioni si avviano automaticamente come indicato nella figura a destra quando si

inserisce la spina dell’alimentazione. (All’inizio, solo l’allarme dello sportello è “ON”).

••Se non viene effettuata alcuna operazione per circa 1 minuto, il display torna automaticamente in standby. Inoltre, il display si spegne se non viene effettuata alcuna operazione per un ulteriore minuto.

••Quando viene premuto uno dei pulsanti, le icone lampeggiano una volta e mostrano il display di standby. Quando il frigorifero si arresta per un problema di alimentazione, il display tornerà a

Lo ionizzatore contenuto all'interno del frigorifero rilascia gruppi di ioni, cioè masse di ioni positivi e negativi, all’interno del vano frigorifero. Questi gruppi di ioni riducono la formazione della muffa, e dei batteri.

••Quando questa funzione è attiva, la temperatura interna del vano frigorifero e freezer sarà superiore rispetto alla temperatura preimpostata di circa 1°C (frigorifero) o 2°C (freezer). Ciò vale nella condizione in cui la temperatura preimpostata sia di 3°C (frigorifero) e -18°C (freezer). Il display della temperatura preimpostata non viene modificato.

••L’efficienza del risparmio di energia dipende dall’ambiente d’uso (controllo temperatura, temperatura ambiente, frequenza dell’apertura e della chiusura della porta, quantità di alimenti).

••Cancellare questa funzione quando si avverte che le bevande non sono abbastanza fredde o la preparazione del ghiaccio impiega troppo tempo.
