Introduction
TheDPFsystemconsistsofa Hydrocarbon(HC)Doser,aDiesel OxidationCatalyst(DOC),andaDPF . TheDPFlterssoot
WhenactivatedtheHCDosersprays asmallamountofdieselfuel(theHC) intotheexhaust.Thecatalystinthe DOCreactswiththeHCtogenerate heat.Theheatisusedtoclean (regenerate)theDPFbyreducingthe trappedsoottoash.

Yourvehicleisequippedwitheither atwo-positionorthree-position RegenerationSwitch,mountedonthe dash.
Ifequippedwithatwo-position RegenerationSwitch,thedriver caninitiateaParkedRegeneration whencertainoperatingconditionsare suitableforregeneration,however, youwillNOTbeabletoStopa regenerationiftheATShasinitiated oneautomatically .Referto"Parked

Ifyourvehicleisequippedwitha three-positionRegenerationSwitch, thedrivercancontroltheregeneration byoverridingtheA TSwhencertain operatingconditionsarenotsuitable forregeneration.
