CAUTION concerning the Power Cord
Most appliances recommend they be placed upon a dedicated circuit;
That is, a single outlet circuit which powers only that appliance and has no additional outlets or branch circuits. Check the specification page of this owner’s manual to be certain. Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or damaged wall outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, or damaged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous. Any of these conditions could result in electric shock or fire. Periodically examine the cord of your appliance, and if its appearance indicates damage or deterioration, unplug it, discontinue use of the appliance, and have the cord replaced with an exact replacement part by an authorized service center. MP3/ WMA/FLAC music file requirement
MP3/ WMA/FLAC file compatibility with this unit is limited as follows :
yy Sampling frequency : MP3 : within 8 to 48 kHz WMA : within 8 to 48 kHz
FLAC : within 8 to 96 kHz(USB), within 8 to 48 kHz(CD)
yy Bit rate : within 8 to 320 kbps (MP3), 40 to 192 kbps (WMA)
yy Maximum files : Under 999
yy File extensions : “.mp3”/ “.wma”/”.flac” yy CD-ROM file format : ISO9660/ JOLIET
yy Support channel(FLAC) : Up to 2 channel yy Support output bit/sample (FLAC) : 16bit yy bps(FLAC) : Up to 2.5Mbps
yy You have to set the disc format option to [Mastered] in order to make the discs compatible with the LG players when formatting rewritable discs. When setting the option to Live File System, you cannot use it on LG players. (Mastered/ Live File System : Disc format system for Windows Vista)
Compatible USB Devices yy MP3 Player : Flash type MP3 player.
yy USB Flash Drive :
Devices that support USB2.0 or USB1.1.
yy The USB function of this unit does not support all USB devices.
USB device requirement
yy Devices which require additional program installation when you have connected it to a computer, are not supported.
yy Do not extract the USB device while in operation.
yy For a large capacity USB, it may take longer than a few minutes to be searched.
yy To prevent data loss, back up all data.
yy If you use a USB extension cable or USB hub, the USB device is not recognized.
yy Using NTFS file system is not supported. (Only FAT(16/ 32) file system is supported.)
yy This unit is not supported when the total number of files is 1 000 or more.
yy External HDD, Card readers, Locked devices, or hard type USB devices, mobile phone are not supported.
yy USB port of the unit cannot be connected to PC. The unit cannot be used as a storage device.
yy Some USB may not work with this unit.
yy In power on state, you can charge your iPod/ iPhone/iPad/Android device via USB port. (This is available when you selects USB function.)

1(Power) : Switches the unit ON or OFF.
(Insert/Eject) : Inserts or ejects a disc from a slot loader.
VOL +/- : Adjusts speaker volume.
FUNCTION : Selects the function and input source.
PRESET.FOLDER W/S:
-- Searches for a folder of MP3/WMA/FLAC files. When a CD/USB containing MP3/WMA/FLAC files in several folders is being played, press PRESET.FOLDER W/Sto select the folder you want to play.
-- Chooses a preset number for a radio station. @MUTE : Mutes the sound.

SLEEP : Sets the system to turn off automatically at a specified time.
REPEAT(MENU) :
-Listens to your tracks/files repeatedly or randomly.
-Move to the previous menu when you select USB function to play iPod/iPhone/iPad.
DELETE : Deletes MP3/WMA/FLAC files. (USB only) Y/U(Skip/Search) :
-Skips Fast backward or Forward.
-Searches for a section within a track/file.
TUNING-/+ :
Selects the radio stations.
IENTER :
-Stops playback or recording.
-Cancels DELETE function.
-Confirms the clock and the alarm setting.

TIMER : Uses your player as an alarm clock.

USB REC : Starts recording
PTY : Searches radio stations by radio type.
PROGRAM/MEMORY :
-Stores radio stations.
-Creates a playlist you want to listen to.
SOUND EFFECT : Chooses sound impressions. INFO : Sees information about your music.

Precautions in using the touch buttons
yy Use the touch buttons with clean and dry hands.
- In a humid environment, wipe out any moisture on the touch buttons before using.
yy Do not press the touch buttons hard to make it work.
- If you apply too much strength, it can damage the sensor of the touch buttons.
yy Touch the button that you want to work in order to operate the function correctly.
yy Be careful not to have any conductive material such as metallic object on the touch buttons. It can cause malfunctions.
>>Caution
There are speakers at the bottom of your unit. Be careful of this, when you handle it.
Connecting the AC adapter
1.Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC adapter.
2.Connect the AC adapter cable to DC IN adapter input.
3.Plug the AC power cord into an AC outlet.
>>Caution
Only use the AC adapter supplied with this device. Do not use a power supply from another device or manufacturer. Using any other power cable or power supply may cause damage to the device and void your warranty.

iPod/iPhone/iPad Operation
You can enjoy the sound with your iPod/iPhone/ iPad. For details about iPod/iPhone/iPad, refer to the iPod/iPhone/iPad User Guide.

If you turn this unit on, your iPod/iPhone/ iPad will be automatically turned on and start recharging.
2.Press FUNCTION on the remote control or F on the unit to select USB function. You can operate your iPod/iPhone/iPad through an iPod/iPhone/ iPad’s display by using the remote control and controlling your iPod/iPhone/iPad.
