IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

This guide contains many important safety messages. Always read and obey all safety messages.

This is the safety alert symbol. It alerts you to safety messages that inform you of hazards that can kill or hurt you or others or cause damage to the product. All safety messages will be preceded by the safety alert symbol and the hazard signal word DANGER, WARNING, or CAUTION. These words mean:

DANGER

You will be killed or seriously injured if you don’t follow instructions.

WARNING

You can be killed or seriously injured if you don’t follow instructions.

CAUTION

Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in

minor or moderate injury, or product damage only.

All safety messages will identify the hazard, tell you how to reduce the chance of injury, and tell you what can happen if the instructions are not followed.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

WARNING

1.Do not modify the power cord length or sharing of outlet with other appliances and don't replace the power cord with the damaged or unspecified power cord. It will cause electric shock or fire. If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by authorized service person as specified by the manufacturer.

2.Plug in the power socket properly. Loose plug-in causes electric shock or fire due to heat generation.

3.Do not switch ON/OFF the refrigerator with wet hands. It may cause electric shock.

4.Use only dedicated power socket for supply to refrigerator. Do not use an extension cord; otherwise it will cause overloading and intermittent tripping of other appliances or household lights.

5.Never splash water on your refrigerator. It may cause short circuit.

6.Grounding (Earthing). In the event of an electric short circuit, grounding (Earthing) reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. In order to prevent possible electric shock, this appliance must be grounded. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if you have doubts on whether the appliance is properly grounded. Improper use of the grounding plug can result in an electric shock.

7. Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grip plug firmly and pull it straight out from the outlet. 8. When moving your appliance away from the wall, be careful not to roll over the power cord or damage it in any way.

9. Unplug the power cord from outlet for cleaning or other requirements. Never touch it with wet hands because you can get an electric shock or be hurt.

10.Never damage, process, pull out, or twist the power cord, because damage of power cord may cause a fire or electric shock.

11.Do not place the lit candle within the refrigerator to deodorize. It may cause explosion or fire.

12.Do not use or store inflammable materials ether, benzene, alcohol, medicine, LP gas, spray or cosmetics near or in the refrigerator. It may cause explosion or fire.

13.When any strange smell or smoke is detected from the refrigerator, disconnect the power plug immediately and contact to the service center. It may cause fire.

14.The refrigerator should be so positioned that the supply plug is accessible for quick disconnection when accident happens.

15.When disposing the refrigerator, remove the packing materials from the door. It may cause to lock out the child.

CAUTION

1. Before use, refrigerator must be properly installed and located as per the installation instructions.

2.After your refrigerator is in operation, do not touch the cold surface in the freezer compartment, particularly when your hands are damp or wet. Skin could adhere to these extremely cold surfaces.

3. Wait for 5 minutes or longer when reconnecting the plug. (It may cause the operation of the freezer to fail.)

4.Do not install the refrigerator in the wet place or the place which water or rain splashes. (Deterioration of insulation of electric parts may cause electric leakage.)

5.Because opening or closing the door of the refrigerator may cause injury to the person around it, be careful, please. (Opening or closing the door may cause feet or hands to be caught in the chink in door or the child to be get hurt by the corner.)

Defrosting

It is natural for moisture in the air to condense on the cold surface. This leads to a regular build up of frost on the surface of the freezer and the cooling in the fresh food compartment. This frost accumulation reduces the cooling effect, thereby reducing efficiency. Therefore, periodic defrosting is necessary to ensure optimum performance.

ΗThe water in the drain tray evaporates by natural evaporation if defrosting is done once in two days. However, due to varied conditions of usage it is desirable to check the drain-tray occasionally and dispose of the water, if any, Please ensure that the chiller tray is in its correct position by pushing it to its correct position by pushing it to its extreme. Otherwise the defrosting water may fall over the contents of the refrigerator.

ΗManual Defrosting : However in some models, in case of defrosting or power failure the water directly accumulates in chiller tray, dispose off water directly from chiller tray by taking it out.
