GE

Transportation

The Phase Motion Detector PMD-3 monitors train approach directions from 240 to 7,500 feet (2,286 meters), activating warning signals at the specified pre-set distance.

The PMD-3 shares module compatibility with the

GE - Transportation HXP-3 crossing processor’s advanced microprocessor technology. This helps improve the economy of the PMD-3’s long-term maintenance, while its design flexibility helps reduce total installation expense and training cost.

The PMD-3 retains all the features that made earlier PMD models easy to set up and count on. This latest iteration provides advanced operating functionality and recording options. It offers enhanced rusty rail performance and is compatible with high-current cab signals.

The PMD-3 is available in two model configurations:

The PMD-3 provides stand-alone operation for single-track applications.

The PMD-3R is furnished with built-in redundancy for single-track applications.
