Model: DVD-1940CI, DVD-558, DVM-745
Subject: Replacement of the Servo Drive IC. Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.
Symptom: 1) Disc Tray cannot be open.
2)The lens of the laser picking up doesn't move up and down when the disc is read. (Focus doesn't operate correctly.)
3)The disc doesn't turn.
4)The tracking servo doesn't work correctly.
Solution: Replace the SERVO DRIVE IC (IC301) on the "DVD MAIN CBA UNIT". Change the "SIRAN manufacturing (SA5624G)" IC to a "Rohm manufacturing (BA5888FP)".
