a
Insert the plug into a wall outlet.
a Main power switch
b Jack/socket connector
b
Set the main power switch to “I” .
X The sewing lamp come s on when the
machine is turned on.
c
To turn off the machine, set the main p ower
switch to “

X T he sewing lamp goes off when the
machine is turned o ff.
● If a power outage oc curs while the sewing
machine is being ope rated, turn off the
sewing machine and unplug the power
supply cord. When restar ting the sewing
machine, follow the nece ssary procedure to
correctly ope rate the machin e.
(For U.S.A. only)
● This appliance h as a polarized p lug (one
blade wider than the other). To reduce th e
risk of electric shock, this plu g is intended
to fit in a polarized out let only one way . If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the pl ug.
If it still does not fit, co ntact a qualified
electrician to install th e proper outlet. Do
not modify the plug in any way.
● Use only regular hous ehold electri city for the power sou rce. Using oth er power sources may result in
fire, electric s hock, or damage to the machin e.
● Make sure that the pl ugs on the power co rd are firmly inserte d into the electri cal outlet and the p ower
supply jack on t he machine.
● Do not insert the plug on th e power cord into an elec trical outlet that is in poor c ondition.
● Turn off the main pow er and remove the pl ug in the follow ing circumstance s:
• Wh en you are away fro m the machine
• After using the machine
• When the power fails during use
• When the machine does n ot operate co rrectly due to a bad connecti on or a disconn ection
• Dur ing electrica l storms
● Use only the power cord included with this m achine.
● Do not use exten sion cords or multi -plug adapters with m any other applianc es plugged in to the m. Fire
or electric sh ock may result.
● Do not touch the plu g with wet hands. E lectric shock may result.
●
When unplugging the machine, al ways turn off the main power fi rst. Always grasp t he plug to remove i t from
the outlet. Pullin g on the cord m ay damage the cord, or lead to fire or electric shock.
● Do not allow the power cord to be cut, damaged, modified, f orcefully bent, pulled, twiste d, or bundled.
Do not place heavy objects on the cor d. Do not subject the co rd to heat. These thing s may damage the
cord and cause fire or electr ic shock. If the c ord or plug is da maged, take th e machine to yo ur
authorized dealer for repairs before continuing use.
●
Unplug the po wer cord if the machin e is not to b e used for a long peri od of time. Otherwise a fire may r esult.

harder, the machine’ s speed will increase. Wh en you
take your foot off the foot controller, the machine
will stop.
You should make sure th at nothing is placed on the

• Perform the same operation to change the
needle stop position to the lowered position .
● When connecting the foot controller, b e sure
to turn off the sewing ma chine in order to
prevent the m achine from ac cidentally bei ng
