Handling and operation
This section provides you with important information on handling and using the appliance.
How ultrasonic cleaning works
The ultrasonic field created in the cleaning fluid during operation generates rapidly alternately waves with high and low pressure. These waves produce air bubbles on the surface of the item being cleaned which quickly burst open again. This process works mechanically on the surfaces of the item and thus loosens dirt and other residues. It can, however, also deepen already existing scratches.

NOTE
Cold, clean tap water is generally best suited as cleaning fluid. The cleaning
effect can be enhanced by the addition of approximately 3 drops of washing-
up liquid. Do not use caustic cleaners, ammonia, bleach or heavily per-
fumed detergents.
The cleaning performance is dependent on the amount of water: the more
water, the lower the cleaning performance.
