18 - English
SilverCrest SSZ 500 A1
9.1 Maintenance/cleaning
It is recommended that you clean the Smoothie Maker before first use and immediately after each use so that no remnants of food can set in the smoothie container (8) or in the multifunctional container (6) or on the cutting blades (5) and (9).
Risk of electric shock!
Always remove the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning. This could result in
an electric shock.
Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the motor unit (2) and do not immerse it in water or other liquids. This could cause short circuits which could cause electric shocks or burns.
Warning!
Do not use abrasive or astringent detergents or tools which could scratch the surface to clean the motor unit (2). This could cause damage to the motor unit (2) housing.
Clean the motor unit (2), plastic parts and the power cable with a dry or damp cloth. You can wash the lid (3) and (10), the smoothie container (8), the multifunctional container (6), the non-
slip ring (7), the sealing ring (4) and the cutting blades (5) and (9) as normal washing-up.
Risk of injury
The cutting blades (5) and (9) are extremely sharp. Be very careful when washing and handling the cutting blades (5) and (9).
Apart from the motor unit (2), all components are dishwasher-safe to a maximum of 60 °C.
10. Storing the smoothie maker
Store the smoothie maker in a safe place away from dust. The best thing is to assemble the smoothie container (8) and the multifunctional container (6) and place the cutting blades (5) and (9) in the multifunctional container (6). Place the motor unit (2) next to them. This keeps all the individual parts to hand so they do not get lost and keeps the cutting blades (5) and (9) safely stored away so that nobody can accidentally cut themselves.
11. Troubleshooting
If your smoothie maker does not work as normal, follow the instructions below to try to solve the problem. If working through the tips below does not fix the fault, please contact our hotline (see "Warranty information" on page 21).
