The Hand Blender Set Multifunction is solely intended to chop, stir and purée food. For each utensil, please observe the area of ap­plication described in these instructions. The device is designed for private, domestic use. The device must only be used indoors. This device must not be used for commer cial purposes.

Do not use the device for chopping par­ticularly hard food, e.g. frozen food, bones, nutmeg, grain, coffee beans or spices. This device is also not intended for processing chocolate.

The blade assemblies are sharp . Handle them with care, particular­ly when removing food fr om the c ontainers and during cleaning. When washing manually, the water should be sufficiently clear that you can see the blades easily.

Clean all parts and surfaces that will come into contact with food be­fore using the device for the first time (see “Cleaning” on page 15).

If the mains power cable of this device should become damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service department or a similarly qualified specialist, in order to avoid any hazards.

erly installed and easily accessible wall socket whose voltage corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate. The wall socket must c ontinue to be eas­ily accessible after the device is plugged in.
~ Ensure that the power cable cannot be
damaged by sharp edges or hot points.
~ Even after it has been switched off, the
device has not been completely discon­nected from the mains. In order to fully disconnect it, pull out the mains plug.
~ When using the device, ensure that the
power cable cannot be trapped or crushed.

socket, always pull on the mains plug, and never on the power cable.
~ Disconnect the mains plug from the wall

~ The blades of the inserts are sharp.
Please be very careful when handling them. When washing manually, the wa­ter should be sufficiently clear that you can see the blades easily. Never reach into rotating blades. Do n ot

touch rotating parts with spoons or simi­lar utensils. Keep long hair or loose cloth­ing away from rotating parts as well.

after the device is switched off. Wait until the blade assembly has come to a standstill before you take the hand blender out of the food or remove the lid of the container.
WARNING! Risk of material damage
~ The device is designed for a maximum
operating time of 2 minutes without in­terruption (see “Operating time” on page 10).
~ In or der to prevent damage to the de-
vice, interrupt the blending process im­mediately if an insert is either turning with difficulty or not turning at all. Pull out the mains plug and check whether there is something in the container blocking movement or whether the food
is too tough. Also check whether the de­vice is assembled correctly.

5. Assembly
Remove all packing material.
Check to ensure that all parts are pres­ent and undamaged.
Clean the device prior to its first
use (see “Cleaning” on page 15)!
NOTE: motor unit|1 and masher|23 must
be assembled so that the masher attach­ment|22 can be firmly tightened and re­moved again for cleaning after use.

~ Only plug the mains plug|3 into the wall
socket after the motor unit|1 and the ac- cessories have been assembled.
5.1 Hand blender
Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on the hand blender|24 and press the parts together. The motor unit|1 must engage audibly.
5.2 Whisk
1. Figure B: align the “blades” of the whisk|6 such that they fit into the cross­shaped holder of the whisk adapter|5. Put the whisk|6 into the whisk adapt­er|5 until it engages audibly.
2. Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on the whisk adapter|5 and press the parts together. The motor unit|1 must engage audibly.

1. Figure D: place the blade assem­bly|27 vertically on the peg|25 in the container|26.
2. Fill the chopper container with the pre­pared food to no more than the mark­ing max (approx. 500 ml / for liquids no more than 300 ml).
3. Figure D: place the drive cover|28 on the container|26. Align the drive cov­er|28 so that its locks|29 point to the guides|30 at the container. Turn the drive cover|28 clockwise until it engag­es audibly.
4. Figure A: place the motor unit|1 on the drive cover|28 and press it down. The motor unit|1 must engage audibly.

5.6 Multifunction drive cover

2. Figure H: turn the drive cover|8 clock­wise until it engages audibly. Now, the marking |31 points to the lock marking |33.
3. If necessary, insert the food pusher|7 into the refill opening|9.

DANGER! Risk of injury from cutting!
~ Never reach into rotating blades. Do
not touch rotating parts with spoons or similar utensils. Keep long hair or loose clothing away from rotating parts as well.
~ Only switch on the device when the
hand blender|24, the masher|23 or the whisk|6 is immersed in the food.
~ The blade assemblies continue to rotate
after the device is switched off. Wait until the blade assembly has come to a standstill before you take the hand blender|24 or masher|23 out of the food or release the drive cover|8 /|28 from the container.
WARNING! ~ The device is designed for a maximum
operating time of 2 minutes without in­terruption (see “Operating time” on page 10).
~ In order to prevent damage to the de-

6.1 Operating time
6.3 Hand blender
For the five application areas we recom­mend the following operating times:
- Multifunction up to 2 minutes contin­uously, then a 2-minute break
- Chopper up to 2 minutes continuously, then a 2-minute break
- Hand blender up to 1 minute contin­uously, then a 2-minute break
- Masher up to 1 minute continuously, then a 2-minute break
- Whisk up to 2 minutes continuously, then a 2-minute break
6.2 Switching on/off and
speeds
Press the controller|2 to switch the de­vice on.
The speed increases with the intensity the controller is pressed. Keep the con­troller|2 pressed to work in the set speed.
Release the controller|2 to switch the device off.
Application area: The hand blender|24 is ideal for puréeing cooked fruit and vegetables and for mixing drinks, soups, sauces, etc. and for making milkshakes. Do not use the hand blender|24 for especial­ly hard food such as ice cubes or for nuts.
NOTE: adapt the rotation speed to suit the food to be blended. Select normal speed for soft foods to and for harder food the highest speed .
1. Cut the cooked fruit and vegetables into small pieces.
2. Put the food into the measuring beak­er|21 or another suitable container.
3. Place the motor unit|1 on the hand blender|24 until it engages.
4. Immerse the hand blender into the food to be pureed/blended.
5. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall socket.
6. Pres s the controller|2 to switch the de- vice on. The speed increases with the intensity the controller is presse d.
7. Move the hand blender|24 up and down a bit in the food, to ensure that it is blended evenly.
8. When you are finished, let go of the controller|2.
9. After the mixing process, wait until the blade comes to a standstill. Pull out the mains plug|3 and remove the hand blender|24 from the food.
10. Clean the device immediately if possible.

6.4 Whisk

Application area: The whisk is suitable for beating whipped cream (max. 300 ml), egg whites (max. 4) and food of a similarly light consistency.
1. Put the cream, egg whites or similar into the measuring beaker|21 or anoth­er suitable container.
2. Immerse the whisk|6 into the cream or similar.
3. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall socket.
4. Press the controller|2 to switch the de­vice on and release it to switch off.

Application area: The masher|23 is suited to mash cooked fruit or vegetables such as apples, plums, potatoes or sweet potatoes.
1. Fill food into a suitable container.
2. Place the motor unit|1 on the mash­er|23 until it engages.
3. Immerse the masher|23 into the food to be pureed/blended.
4. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall socket.
5. Press the controller|2 to switch the de­vice on. The speed increases with the intensity the controller is pr essed.
6. Move the hand masher|23 up and down a bit in the food, to ensure that it is blended evenly.
7. When you are finished, let go of the controller|2.
8. After the mixing process, wait until the blade comes to a standstill. Pull out the mains plug|3 and take the masher|23 out of the food.
9. Clean the device im mediately if poss ible.
Application area:
The chopper is ideal for chopping meat, P ar­mesan, vegetables, fruit, nuts and herbs.
Preparing food:
Rinse or wash the food.
Cut the food up into smaller pieces.
Remove the outer shell from nuts. You may use the inner skin if you wish, e.g. with almonds.
Use fresh herbs without stems and in a dry condition.
Remove sinews, bones and gristle from the meat.
1. Fill the food into the container|26 with blade assembly|27 and close it with the drive cover|28.
2. Place the motor unit|1 onto the drive cover|28 until it engages.
3. Connect the mains plug|3 with the wall socket.
4. Press the controller|2 to switch the de­vice on and release it to switch off.
5. After chopping remove the mains plug|3 and remove the motor unit|1 from the drive cover|28.
6. Loosen the drive cover|28 by turning it an­ticlockwise.
7. Clean the device immediately if possible.
