Introduction
Please make yourself familiar with the device before preparing it for use or using
it for the first time. In addition, please refer carefully to the operating instructions below and the important safety advice. Use the device only as described and for the indicated purposes. Keep these instructions in a safe place. Make sure that all documents accompany the device if you pass it on to anyone else.

Important safety advice
Do not operate the device during a thunderstorm. Operate the device only with the supplied mains
adapter and at the mains voltage indicated on the mains adapter.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
AND INJURY! Do not subject the device to
shock and do not drop it. Before every use, check the device carefully for signs of wear and / or damage. Do not use it if you see signs of wear and tear or damage or if the machine has been used incorrectly and switch it off immediately in case of defects or malfunction. In this case, return it to the dealer before using it again.
FIRE HAZARD! Do not cover the
shiatsu massage device during use
(cushions, covers etc.). Never use the device near petrol or other readily flammable substances.
Ask your doctor and, if relevant, the
manufacturer of your heart pacemaker
before you use this shiatsu massage device. Under certain circumstances, the electri­cal and magnetic fields emitted from the device could interfere with the proper functioning of your heart pacemaker. However, the parameters of the fields do not exceed the permitted limits: for information on these limits please refer to the section on “Technical data”.
Do not use the device for
massaging around the heart if you have a
heart pacemaker.
Children or persons who lack the knowledge or
experience to use the device or whose physical, sensory or intellectual capacities are limited must never be allowed to use the device without supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children must never be allowed to play with the device.
Do not use this device on helpless
people, on children, or people who
are insensitive to heat (e.g. diabetics, people whose skin is affected by illness or who have scarred skin in the area where the heat will be applied) or animals. Do not use the device during pregnancy, after taking painkilling medi­cation or alcohol.
Ensure that you do not fall asleep
while the device is operating.

The Shiatsu cushion is designed only massage
the backs of persons. It is not a substitute for medical treatment by your doctor.
The shiatsu cushion device must not be used on
the face (e.g. eyes), on the larynx, the feet or other sensitive body parts.
Repairs may only carried out only by qualified
specialist personnel or in a workshop approved by the manufacturer. Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.
If the mains lead to the product
is damaged, in order to avoid causing further
danger it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer services department.

Before use / Bringing into service / operation
Before use
CAUTION! Remove the transporta-
tion lock for the massage mechanism
before you start to use the device. To do this, remove the screw using the provided tool on the rear side of the cushion. If this screw of the transportation lock is not removed and the Shiatsu cushion is used at one, the cushion will be damaged irreparably and unusable. In this case no warranty will be assumed.
Always employ the transportation lock screw
for the duration of any further transport in the future. Every transport without a transportation lock can damage the device irreparably.
Bringing into service / operation
Note: Only use the device in an upright position,
never lay it flat on the floor. Note: The zip fastener on the Shiatsu cushion may not be opened because it is only there for technical reasons. Note: The device may give off an odour of plastic on first use. This odour will cease to develop after a short while. Note: The device automatically switches off after 15 minutes. Use the shiatsu cushion for a maximum period of 15 minutes. Longer use may lead to over-stimulation and hence tension in the muscles. Note: Ensure that you are sitting in the middle of the device and that the massage heads move to the left and right of your spine. Note: Do not lie, sit and stand with your full weight on the moving parts of the device and do not place any objects on the device.
Insert the mains plug into the mains socket.
Position the lead to avoid creating a trip hazard.
Switching on / off:
Switch on the Shiatsu cushion by pressing the
On / Off button

After use, switch off the Shiatsu cushion by
pressing the On / Off button

Back massage:
Select with button A+B 6, A 7 or B 8 the
area you would like to have massaged: A+B: your whole back A: upper back B: lower back. The LED lamp signalises the massage area that
has been set. Note: When you select the massage area, the
automatic switch-of will be activated and set at
15 minutes.
Press the ently 9, employing the appropriate
frequency, to set the automatic switch-off at 5,
10 or 15 minutes. Note: By resetting the timer setting, the timer
will begin counting anew. At the beginning of
the massage, select the maximum duration of
the massage and do not change this during the
massage in order to prevent the device from
overheating. Note: Ensure that you are experiencing the
massage as pleasant and relaxing. If necessary,
vary the pressure and / or your position. Stop the
massage at once if it is painful or unpleasant.
Heating function:
Press the heat button 5, to activate the heating
function.
Press the heat button 5 once again to deacti-
vate the heating function. Note: The heating function cannot be activated
unless a massage program has ben previously
selected.
Seat vibration:
Press the seat vibration button 10 to activate
the seat vibration. The vibration starts at a low
intensity and the relevant LED for seat vibration
will light up.
Press the seat vibration button 10, with the
appropriate frequency, to switch to low, medium
or high intensity or to deactivate the seat vibration. Note: The seat vibration can be activated
together with the back massage. However, the
vibration intensity will be slightly reduced in
this case.
