nungsanleitung ist Bestandteil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung
des Produkts mit allen Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie
das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche.

Lieferumfang
Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:

HINWEIS
► Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare Schäden.
► Bei einer unvollständigen Lieferung oder Schäden infolge mangelhafter
Verpackung oder durch Transport wenden Sie sich an die Service-Hotline
(siehe Kapitel Service).
Auspacken
♦ Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem
Karton.
♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
WARNUNG! ERSTICKUNGSGEFAHR!
► Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum Spielen von Kindern verwendet
werden. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoffe und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.

Sicherheitshinweise
STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR
► Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig in-
stallierte Netzsteckdose mit einer der auf dem Typenschild
entsprechenden Netzspannung an.
► Sie dürfen das Gerät keinesfalls in eine Flüssigkeit tauchen
und keine Flüssigkeiten in das Gerätegehäuse gelangen lassen. Sie dürfen das Gerät keiner Feuchtigkeit aussetzen und
nicht im Freien benutzen. Falls doch einmal Flüssigkeit in das
Gerätegehäuse gelangt, ziehen Sie sofort den Netzstecker
des Geräts aus der Netzsteckdose und lassen Sie es von
qualifiziertem Fachpersonal reparieren.
► Ziehen Sie bei Betriebsstörungen und bevor Sie das Gerät
reinigen den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose.
► Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, ziehen Sie
nicht am Kabel selbst.
► Wickeln Sie die Netzanschlussleitung nicht um das Gerät
und schützen Sie sie vor Beschädigungen.
► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort
von autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice
austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
► Knicken oder quetschen Sie die Netzanschlussleitung nicht
und verlegen Sie sie so, dass niemand darauf treten oder
darüber stolpern kann.
► Sie dürfen kein Verlängerungskabel verwenden.
► Fassen Sie Gerät, Netzanschlussleitung und -stecker nie mit
nassen Händen an.
► Trennen Sie das Gerät sofort nach dem Gebrauch vom Strom-
netz. Nur wenn Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose
ziehen, ist es vollständig stromfrei.

STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR
► Sie dürfen das Gerätegehäuse nicht öffnen oder reparieren.
In diesem Falle ist die Sicherheit nicht gegeben und die Gewährleistung erlischt. Lassen Sie ein defektes Gerät nur von
qualifiziertem Fachpersonal reparieren.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel nicht nass
oder feucht wird.
Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht eingeklemmt oder beschädigt
werden kann.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals in der Nähe von
Wasser, insbesondere nicht in der Nähe von Waschbecken,
Badewannen oder ähnlichen Gefäßen. Die Nähe von Wasser
stellt eine Gefahr dar, auch wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist.
Ziehen Sie daher nach jedem Gebrauch den Netzstecker.
Als zusätzlicher Schutz wird Ihnen die Installation einer
Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung mit einem Bemessungsauslösestrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmer-Stromkreis
empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren Elektroinstallateur um Rat.
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber
und von Personen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen
oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/
oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder
bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen
wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden
haben.
► Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
► Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder
durchgeführt werden, es sei denn, sie sind 8 Jahre und älter
und werden beaufsichtigt.

WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Legen Sie das Gerät niemals im eingeschalteten Zustand
ohne Ausklappen des Standfußes ab.
► Lassen Sie das eingeschaltete Gerät niemals unbeaufsichtigt.
► Legen Sie das Gerät nie in die Nähe von Wärmequellen
und schützen Sie die Netzanschlussleitung vor Beschädigungen.
► Falls das Gerät heruntergefallen oder beschädigt ist, dürfen
Sie es nicht mehr in Betrieb nehmen. Lassen Sie das Gerät
von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal überprüfen und gegebenenfalls reparieren.
► Die Geräteteile können im Betrieb heiß werden. Fassen Sie
daher nur den Handgriff und den Schalter an.
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
► Frisieren Sie niemals Perücken oder Haarteile aus syntheti-
schem Material. Diese können durch die Hitze beschädigt
werden!
► Frisieren Sie nur menschliche Haare. Benutzen Sie das Gerät
nicht bei Tieren.

Vor der Inbetriebnahme
■ Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, überzeugen Sie sich davon, dass
– das Gerät in einwandfreiem Zustand ist,
– alle Verpackungsmaterialien entfernt sind.
■ Wischen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch ab und trocknen Sie es ab.
HINWEIS - SICHERHEITS-ABSCHALTUNG
Dieses Gerät ist mit einer Sicherheits-Abschaltung ausgestattet.
Nach ca. 30 Minuten ohne Betätigung des Ein-/Aus-Schalters schaltet
sich das Gerät automatisch aus. Nach ca. 25 Minuten beginnt die Indikationsleuchte grün zu blinken, um Sie an die automatische Abschaltung
zu erinnern.
Die Sicherheits-Abschaltung ersetzt nicht das manuelle Ausschalten mit
dem Ein-/Aus-Schalter ! Sie dient nur Ihrer Sicherheit, falls das Abschalten vergessen wird!
Vor dem Frisieren
■ Das Haar sollte sauber, trocken und frei von Stylingprodukten sein. Ausge-
nommen sind spezielle Produkte, die das Curlen des Haares unterstützen.
■ Kämmen Sie das Haar vor dem Frisieren gründlich, damit sich keine Knoten
im Haar befinden.
■ Teilen Sie das Haar in handhabbare Partien ein und befestigen Sie die obe-
ren Partien mit Klammern auf dem Kopf, damit sie nicht im Weg sind.
Bedienen
Ein-/Ausschalten
– Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteckdose.
– Schieben Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter nach oben in die Position 1. Die
Indikationsleuchte beginnt rot zu blinken. Das Gerät heizt auf. Sobald
die Indikationsleuchte dauerhaft rot leuchtet, ist der Heizstab
aufgeheizt.
– Wenn Sie mit dem Styling der Haare fertig sind, schieben Sie den Ein-/
Aus-Schalter nach unten in die Position 0 und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker.

Temperatur regulieren
Regulieren Sie die Temperatur des Heizstabes am Temperaturregler .
■ Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler nach rechts, um die Temperatur zu
erhöhen.
■ Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler nach links, um die Temperatur zu verringern.
Stylen
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Seien sie vorsichtig im Umgang mit dem aufgeheizten Lockenstab. Berühren
Sie nicht die Kopfhaut oder andere Körperstellen mit dem heißen Heizstab
! Das führt zu Verbrennungen!
Wenn das Gerät aufgeheizt ist:
1) Klemmen Sie die Spitze der Haarsträhne mit Hilfe des Haarclips am
unteren Ende des Heizstabes fest.
2) Rollen Sie dann den Heizstab in das Haar ein, so dass sich die Haare um
den Heizstab und um den Haarclip legen.
3) Warten Sie ca. 5 Sekunden in dieser Position ab, wickeln Sie den Heizstab
aus der Haarsträhne heraus und lösen Sie den Haarclip .
4) Verfahren Sie mit den übrigen Strähnen genauso.
5) Lassen Sie die Locken auskühlen, bevor Sie sie frisieren.
HINWEIS
Wenn Sie das Gerät zwischendurch ablegen wollen, klappen Sie den
Standfuß aus.

Reinigen und Pflegen
STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR
► Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung immer den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdo-
se. Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages!
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der Reinigung abkühlen. Verbrennungsgefahr!
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
►
Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven, chemischen oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel! Diese können die Oberfläche des Gerätes angreifen.
■ Reinigen Sie das Gerät ausschließlich mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch.
■ Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der erneuten Benutzung oder vor dem Verstauen
vollständig trocknen.
Aufbewahren
■ Sie können das Gerät an der Aufhängeöse aufhängen.
■ Bewahren Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen und staubfreien Ort auf.
Gerät entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.
Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU
(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden
Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in
Verbindung.

Garantie
Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Das Gerät wurde
sorgfältig produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.
Bitte bewahren Sie den Kassenbon als Nachweis für den Kauf auf. Bitte setzen
Sie sich im Garantiefall mit Ihrer Servicestelle telefonisch in Verbindung. Nur so
kann eine kostenlose Einsendung Ihrer Ware gewährleistet werden.
HINWEIS
Das Produkt ist lediglich für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen
Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung,
Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von unserer autorisierten ServiceNiederlassung vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.
Ihre gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.
Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch
für ersetzte und reparierte Teile.
Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach

Déballage
♦ Sortez du carton toutes les pièces de l'appareil et le mode d'emploi.
♦ Retirez tous les matériaux d'emballage.
AVERTISSEMENT! RISQUE D'ÉTOUFFEMENT!
► Les matériaux d'emballage ne doivent pas servir de jouet aux enfants.
Il y a un risque d'étouffement.
Élimination de l'emballage
L'emballage protège l'appareil de tous dommages éventuels au cours du transport.
Les matériaux d'emballage ont été sélectionnés selon des critères de respect
de l'environnement et de recyclage permettant une élimination écologique de
ceux-ci.
Le recyclage de l'emballage en filière de revalorisation permet d'économiser des
matières premières et de réduire le volume de déchets. Veuillez éliminer les matériaux d'emballage qui ne servent plus en respectant la réglementation locale.

► Si possible, conservez l'emballage d'origine pendant la période de garantie

Consignes de sécurité
RISQUE D'ÉLECTROCUTION
► Raccordez l'appareil uniquement à une prise secteur installée
en bonne et due forme avec une des tensions secteur correspondant à la plaque signalétique.
► Vous ne devez en aucun cas plonger l'appareil dans l'eau
ni laisser pénétrer du liquide dans le boîtier de l'appareil.
Il est interdit d'exposer l'appareil à l'humidité et de l'utiliser
à l'extérieur. Si toutefois du liquide devait pénétrer dans le
boîtier de l'appareil, débranchez immédiatement la fiche de
la prise secteur et confiez l'appareil à un atelier spécialisé
pour le réparer.
► En cas de défaillances et avant de nettoyer l'appareil, retirez
la fiche secteur de la prise secteur.
► Retirer la fiche secteur de la prise, ne pas tirer sur le cordon
pour débrancher.
► N'enroulez pas le cordon autour de l'appareil et veillez à le
protéger contre toutes détériorations.

► Veillez à ce que le cordon secteur ne soit pas mouillé ou
humide pendant le fonctionnement.
Acheminez-le afin qu'il ne soit ni coincé ni endommagé.
Ne jamais utiliser l'appareil à proximité de l'eau, en particulier à proximité d'un lavabo, d'une baignoire ou de récipients similaires. La proximité d'eau représente un danger,
même si l'appareil est éteint. Pour cette raison, débrancher
l'appareil après chaque utilisation. À titre de protection

Avant la mise en service
■ Avant de mettre en service l'appareil, veuillez vous assurer que...
– l'appareil se trouve dans un état impeccable,
– tous les emballages ont été enlevés.
■ Essuyez l'appareil avec un chiffon humide et séchez-le bien.
REMARQUE - COUPURE DE SÉCURITÉ
Cet appareil est doté d'un système de coupure de sécurité.
Au bout d'env. 30 minutes sans avoir actionné l'interrupteur marche/arrêt
, l'appareil s'éteint automatiquement. Au bout de 25 minutes, le témoin
indicateur se met à clignoter en vert pour vous rappeler de la coupure
automatique.
La coupure automatique ne remplace pas la coupure manuelle avec l'interrupteur marche/arrêt ! Elle ne sert qu'à votre sécurité, si vous avez oublié
d'éteindre !
Avant le coiffage
■ Les cheveux doivent être propres, secs et exempts de tout produit de coiffage.
Certains produits spéciaux qui soutiennent le bouclage des cheveux peuvent
être utilisés.
■ Peignez soigneusement les cheveux avant de les boucler, afin qu'il n'y ait
plus aucun nœud dans les cheveux.
■ Séparez les cheveux en parties maniables et fixez les parties supérieures
sur la tête à l'aide de pinces, afin qu'elles ne vous gênent pas.
Utilisation
Allumer/éteindre l'appareil
– Branchez la fiche secteur dans une prise secteur.
– Réglez l’interrupteur marche/arrêt sur la position ON. Le témoin
indicateur se met à clignoter en rouge. L’appareil chauffe. Dès que le
témoin indicateur reste allumé en rouge, le fer est chaud.
– Dès que vous avez terminé le coiffage des cheveux, glissez l’interrupteur
marche/arrêt vers le bas en position 0 et débranchez la fiche secteur.

Régler la température
Réglez la température du fer sur le régulateur de température .
■ Tournez le régulateur de température à droite pour augmenter la tempé-
rature.
■ Tournez le régulateur de température à gauche pour réduire la tempéra-
ture.
Styles de coiffure
AVERTISSEMENT! RISQUE DE BLESSURES!
► Faites attention en manipulant le fer à boucler chauffé. Ne touchez pas le
cuir chevelu ou d'autres parties du corps avec le fer chaud!
Il y a un risque de brûlures !
Lorsque l'appareil est chaud :
1) Fixez la pointe de la mèche à l’aide du clip à cheveux au niveau de
l’extrémité inférieure du fer .
2) Enroulez ensuite le fer dans les cheveux, de manière à ce que les cheveux se placent autour du fer et du clip à cheveux .
3) Patientez env. 5 secondes dans cette position, déroulez le fer de la
mèche de cheveux et desserrez la pince à cheveuxy .
4) Procédez de la même manière avec les autres mèches.
5) Laissez refroidir la boucle avant de la coiffer.

Indicazioni di sicurezza
PERICOLO DI SCOSSA ELETTRICA
► Collegare l'apparecchio solo a una presa installata a norma
con tensione di rete corrispondente a quella riportata sulla
relativa targhetta.
► Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in liquidi e impedire la
penetrazione di liquidi nell'alloggiamento dell'apparecchio.
Non esporre l'apparecchio all'umidità e non utilizzarlo
all'aperto. In caso di infiltrazioni di liquidi nell'alloggiamento
dell'apparecchio, disinserire subito la spina dalla presa e
fare riparare l'apparecchio da personale specializzato
qualificato.
► In caso di guasti e prima della pulizia, staccare sempre la
spina dalla presa di corrente.
► Tirare sempre dalla spina, mai dal cavo.
► Non avvolgere il cavo di allacciamento alla rete attorno
all'apparecchio e proteggerlo da danneggiamenti.
► Al fine di evitare pericoli, fare sostituire immediatamente spine

► Non piegare e non schiacciare il cavo di rete e posizionarlo

► Dopo l'uso, staccare immediatamente l'apparecchio dalla rete

PERICOLO DI SCOSSA ELETTRICA
► Non è consentito aprire o riparare l'alloggiamento dell'appa-
recchio. Aprendolo ci si espone a pericoli e la garanzia
decade. Fare riparare l'apparecchio guasto solo da personale
specializzato autorizzato.
► Assicurarsi che durante il funzionamento il cavo di rete non
sia esposto all'acqua o all'umidità.
Condurlo in modo tale da impedire che si incastri o danneggi.
Non utilizzare mai l'apparecchio in prossimità dell'acqua,
soprattutto di lavandini, vasche da bagno o simili. La vicinanza all'acqua rappresenta un pericolo anche ad apparecchio spento. Staccare dunque sempre la spina dopo
ogni utilizzo. Come protezione addizionale, si consiglia
l'installazione di un dispositivo di protezione per correnti
di dispersione con una corrente di apertura di misurazione
di non oltre 30 mA nel circuito della stanza da bagno.

Prima della messa in funzione
■ Prima di mettere in esercizio l'apparecchio accertarsi che ...
– l'apparecchio si trovi in perfette condizioni.
– sia stato rimosso tutto il materiale di imballaggio.
■ Pulire l'apparecchio con un panno umido e poi asciugarlo.
AVVERTENZA - DISPOSITIVO PER LO SPEGNIMENTO DI SICUREZZA
Questo apparecchio è fornito di un dispositivo per lo spegnimento di sicurezza.
Dopo circa 30 minuti di mancato azionamento dell'interruttore ON/OFF
l'apparecchio si spegne automaticamente. Dopo circa 25 minuti, la spia d’indicazione comincia a lampeggiare di luce verde per ricordare lo spegnimento automatico.
Il dispositivo di spegnimento di sicurezza non sostituisce lo spegnimento
manuale dall'interruttore ON/OFF ! Esso serve solo per la vostra sicurezza
in caso dimentichiate di spegnere l'apparecchio!
Prima dell'acconciatura
■ I capelli devono essere puliti, asciutti ed esenti da prodotti cosmetici, Fanno
eccezione i prodotti speciali che aiutano a ottenere l'arricciatura dei capelli.
■ Prima di effettuare l'acconciatura, pettinare accuratamente i capelli in modo
da eliminare eventuali nodi.
■ Dividere la capigliatura in sezioni più piccole, per facilitare il procedimento,
e fissare le ciocche sulla testa con delle pinze, in modo che non costituiscano
intralcio.
Utilizzo
Accensione/spegnimento
– Inserire la spina in una presa di corrente.
– Portare l’interruttore ON/OFF verso l’alto alla posizione 1. La spia
d’indicazione inizia a lampeggiare di luce rossa. L’apparecchio si
riscalda. Quando la spia d’indicazione rimane accesa permanentemente di luce rossa, ciò significa che l’elemento riscaldante è caldo.
– Dopo aver terminato l’acconciatura dei capelli, portare l’interruttore
ON/OFF verso il basso alla posizione 0 e staccare la spina di rete.

Regolazione della temperatura
Regolare la temperatura dell’elemento riscaldante con il regolatore della temperatura .
■ Per aumentare la temperatura ruotare il regolatore della temperatura
verso destra.
■ Per diminuire la temperatura ruotare il regolatore della temperatura verso
sinistra.
Messa in piega
AVVERTENZA! PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Procedere con cautela nell'uso del ferro riscaldato. Non toccare il cuoio
capelluto o altre parti del corpo con l'elemento riscaldante quando è
caldo! Si possono provocare ustioni!
Se l'apparecchio è riscaldato:
1) Fissare la punta della ciocca di capelli con l’ausilio della clip fermacapelli
che si trova sull’estremità inferiore dell’elemento riscaldante .
2) Dopo di ciò arrotolare i capelli attorno all’elemento riscaldante in modo
tale che essi si posino attorno all’elemento riscaldante e alla clip fermacapelli .
3) Rimanere per ca. 5 secondi in questa posizione, svolgere l'elemento riscaldante dalla ciocca di capelli e sbloccare la clip fermacapelli .
4) Procedere analogamente con le altre ciocche.
5) Fare raffreddare i riccioli prima di acconciarli.

■ Pulire l'apparecchio esclusivamente con un panno leggermente umido.
■ Prima del riutilizzo o della conservazione, fare raffreddare completamente
l'apparecchio.
Conservazione
■ È possibile appendere l'apparecchio all'occhiello di sospensione .
■ Conservare l'apparecchio in un luogo asciutto e privo di polvere.
Smaltimento dell'apparecchio
Non gettare per alcun motivo l'apparecchio insieme ai normali
rifiuti domestici.

Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions.

Unpacking

► Packaging materials should not be used as a plaything. There is a risk of
suffocation.
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging into the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging materials that are
no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

Safety instructions
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Connect this appliance only to a properly installed wall power
socket providing electrical energy as specified on the rating
plate.
► Under no circumstances should the appliance be submersed
in liquids or liquids be allowed to penetrate the housing.
Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it
outdoors. If liquid gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket immediately and have it
repaired by a qualified technician.
► In the event of malfunctions and before you clean the appliance,
remove the plug from the mains power socket.
► To disconnect the appliance, pull only on the plug itself, not
on the power cable.
► Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, and
protect the cable from being damaged.
► To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/or power
cables replaced immediately by an authorised specialist
technician or our Customer Service department.
► Do not kink or crush the power cable and route it in such
a way as to prevent people from stepping on it or tripping
over it.
► Do not use extension cables.
► Never hold the appliance, the power cable or the power
plug with wet hands.
► Disconnect the appliance from the mains power source imme-
diately after use. The appliance is completely free of electrical
power ONLY when unplugged.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Do not open the appliance housing or attempt to repair
the appliance yourself. Doing so can lead to risks and also
invalidates the warranty. Only allow authorised technicians
to repair a defective appliance.
► Ensure that the power cable does not become wet or moist
during use.
Route the cable in such a way that it cannot be crushed or
damaged.
Never use the appliance near water, and keep it away
from sinks, baths and other similar containers. Water in the
proximity of the appliance is hazardous, even if the appliance is switched off. Always disconnect the plug from the
mains power socket after use. As additional protection,
the installation of a residual current circuit-breaker with an
activation power rating of not more than 30 mA is recommended for the power circuit in the bathroom. Ask your
electrician for advice.

► This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years or more
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they
are supervised, or have been instructed in the safe use of the
appliance and have understood the potential risks.

► Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children, unless they are aged 8 or over and are supervised.

repaired by qualified technicians if necessary.
► The appliance components can get hot during operation.
Therefore, only touch the handle and the switch.

► NEVER use the appliance to style hair pieces or wigs made
of synthetic material. These can be damaged by the heat!
► Style only human hair. Do not use the appliance on animals.

Before use
■ Before using the appliance ensure that ...
– the appliance is in good working condition
– all packaging materials have been removed.
■ Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and then dry it well.
NOTE – SAFETY SWITCH-OFF
This appliance is fitted with a safety switch-off.
After approx. 30 minutes, and without activation of the on/off switch ,
the appliance switches itself off automatically. After approx. 25 minutes
the indicator lamp starts to flash green, to remind you it is about to
switch off automatically.
The safety switch-off is not intended to replace switching the appliance off
manually with the on/off switch ! It is only for your safety, in the event
that you forget to switch the appliance off!
Before styling
■ The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products. Special products
which facilitate curling of the hair are excepted.
■ Comb the hair thoroughly before styling so that there are no knots in it.
■ Divide the hair into manageable portions and pin the upper portions to the
head with grips so that they do not get in the way.
Operation
Switching on and off
– Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
– Push the on/off switch upwards into position 1. The indicator light
starts to flash red. The appliance heats up. As soon as the indicator lamp
lights up permanently red, the heating element has heated up.
– When you have finished styling your hair, push the on/off switch
downwards to position 0 and disconnect the mains plug from the wall
socket.

Adjusting the temperature
You can adjust the temperature of the heating element using the temperature
control .
■ Turn the temperature control to the right to increase the temperature.
■ Turn the temperature control to the right to reduce the temperature.
Styling
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Take care when handling the heated curling iron. Do not touch the scalp or
other parts of the body with the hot heating element ! This could cause
burns!
When the appliance is heated-up:
1) Clamp the tip of the hair strand firmly onto the lower end of the heating element using the hair clip .
2) Then roll the heating element into the hair so that the hairs are wrapped
around the heating element and the hair clip .
3) Wait around 5 seconds in this position, unwind the heating element from
the hair strand and open the hair clip .
4) Proceed with the other strands in the same way.
5) Allow the curls to cool down before you continue styling the hair.
NOTE
If you want to put down the appliance at any time during use, simply fold out
the stand back to the rear.

Cleaning and care

► Before cleaning the appliance, always pull out the plug from the mains
power socket. There is a risk of electric shock!

► Allow the appliance to cool fully before cleaning it. Risk of burns!

Do not use any aggressive, abrasive or chemical cleaning agents!
These could damage the upper surfaces of the appliance.
■ Clean the appliance only with a lightly moistened cloth.
■ Allow the appliance to dry completely before re-use or before storing it.
Storage
■ You can also hang the appliance up by the hanger eye .
■ Store the appliance in a dry and dust-free location.
Disposal of the appliance
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2012/19/EU (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please comply with all applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.

Warranty
This appliance is provided with a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase.
The appliance has been manufactured with care and inspected meticulously prior
to delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim,
please contact your Customer Service unit by telephone. This is the only way to
guarantee free return of your goods.
NOTE
► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, not

The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications/repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.
Your statutory rights are not restricted by this warranty.
