P4800 USB to Serial Port Adapters

Note about firmware updates:
If at all possible, firmware upgrades should be done using a direct serial to serial connection. If you are going upgrade a unit's firmware by using a USB to serial port adapter, please use one of the adapters listed in the table that is compatible with your operating system. The firmware upgrade will take approximately 3.5 minutes using a computers serial port and up to 8 minutes using an USB adapter.
If a firmware upgrade fails and the unit won't respond, the only way to bring it back is to connect using a computer with a serial port or with a USB to serial converter recommended for your operating system. You must connect to the serial port on the front panel of the unit and choose "Firmware Upgrade" from the file menu to begin the upgrade.
