VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SOFTWARE - SAFETY RELATED RECALL
(XGG22)
Models: NX350h (AAZH2#), NX450h+ (AAZH26), LX500d (FJA310), LX600
(VJA310)
Published 26 April 2022
Background
Lexus has determined that a requirement exists for the initiation of a Safety Related Recall Campaign and Retail Delivery Stop to be
conducted affecting a range of LX500d (FJA310), LX600 (VJA310), NX350h (AAZH2#), NX450h+ (AAZH26) vehicles sold in
Australia to reprogram the Skid Control ECU software.
Problem Description
The involved vehicles are equipped with a Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system that is operated by the Skid Control ECU. Due to
incorrect programming of the Skid Control ECU software, after a particular set of operating inputs where the driver manually turns off
the VSC by pressing the switch and, while the brake pedal is continuously depressed, the ignition is turned off and then turned back on,
the VSC will not return to the default setting “ON” at the next ignition cycle. This can result in a noncompliance with applicable
regulations in some countries (NHTSA / UNR).
Involved Vehicles
911 vehicles identified below are involved in the Australian market.
