1. DC CUT FUSE INSTALLATION

The DC CUT FUSE (20A) has been removed at the assembly plant to reduce parasitic current draw in transit and storage. The
removed DC CUT FUSE (20A) is stored in the blank space of the relay block in the engine compartment. The DC CUT FUSE (20A)
must be reinstalled to the original location during PDS (Pre-Delivery Service) at the dealership.

2. INITIALIZATION OF SEAT ECU

Initialize the seat ECU after installing the D/C CUT fuses during PDS (Pre-Delivery Service) at the dealership.

1.Initialization Procedure of Driver's Seat
(a) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the "ON" position ("ON"
mode).
(b) Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to tilt the front
of the power seat downward 3 times.
(c) Within 10 seconds of operating the slide and vertical power seat
switch, simultaneously operate and hold the reclining power seat switch
knob to recline the power seat and slide and vertical power seat switch
knob to move the power seat upward until a buzzer sounds.
NOTICE:
Make sure to perform the ECU zero point setting procedure in
the specified order.
When initializing the slide and reclining operations, make sure
that the headrest does not contact the ceiling. If it appears that
contact will occur, operate the lifter downward in advance.
(d) Operate and hold the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to
move the power seat to the rearmost position.
HINT: Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat has
stopped at the rearmost position.
(e) Operate the reclining power seat switch knob to move the seatback
to the foremost lock position.
HINT: Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat has
stopped at the foremost lock position.

(f) Operate and hold the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to
move the power seat to the lowermost position.
HINT: Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat has
stopped at the lowermost position.
(g) Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to move the
power seat to the lowermost position.
HINT: Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat has stopped
at the foremost position.

3. INITIALIZATION OF POWER BACK DOOR

As a result of removal of the D/C CUT fuse with the back door opened, the "automatic open and close" function of the power back
door will be inoperative due to loss of the back door position memory stored in the microcomputer. Therefore, please initialize the
power back door during PDS (Pre-Delivery Service) at the dealership. If the D/C CUT fuse is removed with the back door closed, the
initialization is not required, because the back door position memory is still stored in the microcomputer.
1. Initialization Procedure
(a) Close the back door completely by hand.
(b) Check that the back door fully opens and fully closes.
(1) Check that the power door main switch is in the "ON" (Operative) position.
(2) Check that the back door fully opens and fully closes by operating the power back door switch, the power back door
closer switch or the transmitter switch.

4. ACTIVATION AND INITIALIZATION OF TYRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM (If equipped)

The tyre pressure warning valve & transmitter is built in each tyre valve (except for compact spare tyre), and the measured tyre inflation
pressure data is sent to the tyre pressure warning ECU & receiver by radio wave. However, the radio wave is stopped at assembly plant,
because the frequency of the radio wave emitting from the tyre pressure warning valve & transmitter does not comply with the Japan
Wireless Telegraphy Act. Activate and initialize the tyre pressure warning valve & transmitter to operate the tyre pressure warning
system during PDS (Pre-Delivery Service) at the dealership according to the procedure outlined below.
1. Activation Procedure
(a) Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the "ON" position ("ON"
mode) and check that the tyre pressure warning light illuminates after
blinking for 1 minute.
(c) Press the valve core to reduce the tyre inflation pressure rapidly by
40 kPa (0.4 kgf/cm2, 6 psi) or more within 30 seconds. HINT: This
operation is required for the system to be activated and must be
performed for each tyre (except for compact spare tyre), one at a
time.
(d) Using the GTS, check that vehicle control history (RoB) for
"TPMS ID Transmitter Stop" (X20F0 to X20F3, X20F4*) are not
output.
HINT:
If the vehicle control history (RoB) (X20F0 to X20F3, X20F4*)
are output, repeat step (c).
If the vehicle control history (RoB) (X20F0 to X20F3,
X20F4*) are output after repeating step (c), turn the tyres 90 to 270
degrees.
If any vehicle control history (RoB) other than the vehicle control
history (RoB) (X20F0 to X20F3, X20F4*) are output, refer to
the Repair Manual. *: Except for compact spare tyre

2. Initialization Procedure
(a) Make sure that the tyres are cold and set the tyre inflation pressure
of all tyres (except for compact spare tyre) to the specified values.
HINT: The specified values show on the tyre and loading information
label on the vehicle.
(b) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the "ON" position ("ON"
mode).
(c) In the navigation display, enter the following menus: Settings /
Vehicle customize / Tyre pressure / Set indicated air pressure.
(d) Select the front and rear tyre pressures, then press "OK".
(e) Check that the tyre pressure warning light slowly blinks 3 times
and a message indicating that the setting is complete is displayed on
the multi information display.
(f) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the "OFF" position ("OFF"
mode) and connect the GTS to the DLC3.
(g) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the "ON" position ("ON"
mode) and turn the GTS on.
(h) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tyre Pressure Monitor / Data
List.
(i) Confirm all the tyre pressure data displayed on the GTS screen to
check the completion of the initialization.
HINT:
The order in which the data is received is random.
If the signals from all the wheels are received, initialization is
completed.
Initialization is completed when the Data List "ID Tyre Inflation
Pressure" display shows the correct pressures.
Initialization is normally completed within a few minutes.
If initialization has not been completed successfully, vehicle
control history (RoB) X20FE is stored after a vehicle speed of
40 km/h (25 mph) or more continues for 20 minutes or more.
Refer to the Repair Manual.

(j) Set the tyre inflation pressure of all tyres (except for compact spare
tyre) to the specified values.
HINT:
If there is a great difference between the current temperature of
the tyre and wheel (example: shop temperature) and expected
temperature (outdoor temperature), this needs to be considered
when adjusting the tyre inflation pressure.
(k) Remove the ID number labels when they are attached on
each wheel.

5. ACTIVATION OF REMOTE DOOR LOCK & UNLOCK

The remote door lock & unlock allows the driver to control the remote central locking via the Lexus Connected phone App. As this
function is required to operate via the local Telstra network, activation is unable to be confirmed during manufacture.
Activation of the Remote door lock & unlock can be completed by the procedure set out below.
1. Activation Procedure
(a) Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the "ON" position ("ON" mode)
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Telematics / Utility / Remote Door Lock Setting
(d) Perform operation according to prompts on the GTS screen and selecting "Remote Door Lock Available".

6. INITIALIZATION OF PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM (If equipped)

The parking assist monitor system assists the driver by displaying an image of the area behind the vehicle while backing up. As a result of
the removal of the DC CUT fuse, the power source to the steering angle sensor is cut off. When the DC CUT fuse is reinstalled, the
parking assist monitor system will be operative, but it cannot display guide lines to assist parking operation because the center position
recognized by the steering angle sensor may not be in an initial position. Therefore, initialize the parking assist monitor system after
installing the DC CUT fuse during PDS (PreDelivery Service) at the dealership.
1. Initialization Procedure
(a) Start the engine (hybrid system). Check if the parking assist monitor system
is operative.
(1) Select the shift state “R" position, check the estimated course lines are not
displayed.
HINT: When the estimated course lines are displayed, initialization of the
parking assist monitor system has been completed.
(2) Press the P position switch to select the shift state “P" position. Turn the
steering wheel lock to lock.
(3) Select the shift state “R" position. When the estimated course line appears
on the rear view monitor as illustrated, the initialisation of the parking assist
monitor system has been completed.

7. INITIALIZATION OF PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM (If equipped)

A panoramic view monitor system is provided which displays a panoramic view of the vehicle to assist the driver during parking and low
speed driving. As a result of the removal of the DC CUT fuse, the power source to the steering angle sensor is cut off. When the DC
CUT fuse is reinstalled, the panoramic view monitor system will be operative, but it cannot display guide lines to assist parking operation
because the center position recognized by the steering angle sensor may not be in an initial position. Therefore, initialize the panoramic
view monitor system after installing the DC CUT fuse during PDS (Pre-Delivery Service) at the dealership.
1. Initialization Procedure
(a) Start the engine (hybrid system). Check if the panoramic view monitor
system is operative.
(1) Select the shift state “R" position, check the estimated course lines are not
displayed. HINT: When the estimated course lines are displayed, initialization
of the panoramic view monitor system has been completed.
(2) Press the P position switch to select the shift state “P" position. Turn the
steering wheel lock to lock.

(3) Select the shift state “R" position. When the estimated course line appears
on the rear view monitor as illustrated, the initialization of the panoramic view
monitor system has been completed.

8. INITIAL CALIBRATION OF PARKING SUPPORT BRAKE SYSTEM (If equipped)

As the DC CUT fuse is removed, the steering angle sensor power source is cut off. When the DC CUT fuse is reinstalled, the center
position recognized by the steering angle sensor may not be the appropriate position. Therefore, it is necessary to calibrate the parking
support brake (PKSB) system after installing the DC CUT fuse during PDS (Pre-Delivery Service) at the dealership.
1. Calibration Procedure
(a) Start the engine (hybrid system).
(b) Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more.
HINT: When the PKSB OFF indicator light changes from blinking to off, calibration of the PKSB system is complete.
(c) Turn the engine switch (power switch) off.

9. CUSTOMIZE WITH ACC CUSTOMIZE FUNCTION

The pre-startup function is a function that detects when a user enters the vehicle and energizes (+BA) the audio head unit so that
multimedia system can quickly be used. The pre-startup function is set to off at the factory to reduce parasitic current draw in transit and
storage. In order to set the pre-startup function to on, it is necessary to set the ACC customization function to off.
1. Customizing with the navigation display.
(a) Turn the engine switch (power switch) to the “ON" position ("ON" mode).
(b) Enter the following menus: Settings / Vehicle customization / Utility / ACC customize.
(c) Select "OFF".

10. REMOVAL OF FRONT EMERGENCY TOWING EYELET AND INSTALLATION OF TOWING EYELET HOLE COVER

1.Removal and Installation Procedure
(a) Remove the front emergency towing eyelets from the front bumper by turning
them counterclockwise.
HINT: If it is hard to loosen the front emergency towing eyelet, use a steel bar.
(b) Place one of the removed emergency towing eyelet into the luggage tray in the
luggage compartment.
HINT: Dispose of the other removed emergency towing eyelets.

(c) Install the front emergency towing eyelet hole covers which are stored in the glove box,
onto the front bumper.
(1) Insert the arrow-shaped part (A) of the front emergency towing eyelet hole cover into the
hole (B) as shown in the illustration.
(2) Install the front emergency towing eyelet hole cover to the hole of the front bumper.

11. MAINTENANCE FOR HV BATTERY BEFORE DELIVERY (Hybrid models only)

The NX350h is equipped with 2 types of special batteries, one is HV (Hybrid Vehicle) battery and the other is auxiliary battery. If the
hybrid vehicle is put into storage, the SOC (State Of Charge) of its HV battery will gradually decrease. To prevent the HV battery from
deteriorating during storage, proper maintenance is necessary. Therefore, perform the following maintenance service for the HV
battery at Port of Entry and Dealers.
1. Charging the HV battery (traction battery) just after unloading and every 2 Months.
HINT: When remaining capacity of HV battery is low, the gasoline engine automatically starts and HV battery is charged by the
generator.
(a) Park the vehicle in open air or connect the exhaust extraction hose to the exhaust pipe.
(b) Apply the parking brake.
(c) With the brake pedal depressed, select the power switch to the “START” mode, and check that the "READY” light in the meter
illuminates when the hybrid system starts (the “READY" light is ON).
(d) Turn off all lights and accessories.
(e) Check that the shift state is in the “P" position.
(f) Keep the "READY" light on and charge the HV battery for 30 minutes.
HINT: If the amount of charging energy is small, the display may not indicate the energy flow.

12. INSTALLATION OF PLUGS FOR UNDER BODY

HINT:
These plugs installation is required for anti-rusting.
These plugs are stored in the glove box.
* The number of plugs may be different according to production locations in same vehicle model.
1.Installation Procedure
(a) Confirm the number of plugs in the glove box.
(b) Install plugs according to either A or B instruction by confirming the number of plugs.
A: Install 4 plugs to *1, *2 holes. (In case of 4 plugs)
B: Install 2 plugs to *2 holes. (In case of 2 plugs)
