the rear edge of range back. Carefully
attempt to tilt range forward. When
properly installed, the range should not
tilt forward.
Refer to the anti-tip bracket installation instructions
supplied with your range for proper installation.

Four Conductor Wire Connection to Range

1. Rem ovet hesc reww hich isx ingt here arwi re

(see Figure 2).
2. Remove t he gr oundi ng st rap f rom t he te rmina l
block and from the appliance frame.
3. Using the nuts supplied wit h the literature p ackage,
connect the groun d wire (green) of the copper
power supply cord to the frame of the appliance with
the ground screw, using the hol e in the frame wh ere
the ground strap was removed (see Figure 4).
4. Connect the n eutra l of the c opper powe r sup ply
cord to th e cen ter s ilver -colo red t ermin al of the
termi nal b lock, and conne ct th e oth er wi res t o the
outer term inals . Mat ch wi res a nd te rmina ls by colo r
(red wires conn ected to t he ri ght t ermin al, b lack
wires connected to the left terminal).

Cord Mounting Plate. Wire sizes (copper wire only)

appliance.

7.1

1. Open the range draw er. The le velin g scr ews c ontro l
the height of the rear wheels.

until the under side of th e coo ktop surfa ce is sitt ing
level on the countertop (Figure 9).
a. To adjust the front legs , use a wr ench on
the l eg ba se an d tur n clo ckwis e to lower or
counterclockwise to raise.
b. To adjust the rear wheel s, us e a r atche t

counterclockwise to lower or clockwise to raise.

Operation of Surface Elements
Turn on each of th e four surf ace e lemen ts an d che ck to

light(s), if equipped.

Operation of Oven Elements
The oven is equipped with an electronic oven control.
Each of the functions has been factory checked before
shipping. However, it is suggested that you verify the
operation of the electronic oven controls once more.
Refer to the Use & Care Guide for operation. Follow the
instructions for the Clock, Timer , Bake, Broil, Convection
(some models) and Clean functions.
Bake–Afte r set ting the o ven t o 350 °F (1 77°C) for
bakin g, th e low er el ement in t he ov en sh ould becom e
red.
Broil–When the oven is se t to BROIL , the uppe r
element in the oven should become red.
Clean–When the oven is se t for a se lf-cl eanin g cyc le,
the u pper eleme nt sh ould becom e red duri ng th e
preheat portion of the cycle. After reaching the self-
clean ing t emper ature , the lowe r ele ment will becom e
red.
Convection (some models)–When the oven is se t to
CONV. BAKE/R OAST a t 350 °F (1 77°C) , the conv ectio n
eleme nt cy cles on an d off a nd th e con vecti on fa n tur ns.
The c onvec tion fan w ill s top t urnin g whe n the oven
door is opened during convection baking or roasting.
Warmer Drawer (some models)–Set the cont rol t o HI
and check to see the drawer is heating.
When Power Connection is Completed
Make sure all controls are left in the OFF position.

with the right rear corner positioned exactly on
the intersection of the center and back lines you
just drew before (Use the diagram below to locate
brackets if template is not available (Figure 12)).
3. Markontheoor(orwall)thelocationofthe
mounting holes shown on the template. For easier
installation, 3/16" (0,48 cm) diameter pilot holes 1/2"
(1,27cm)deepcanbedrilledintotheoor(orwall).
4. Removetemplateandplacebracketonoor.Lineup
holesinbracketwithmarksonoor/wallandattach
with screws provided. Bracket must be secured to
solidoororwall(Figure13).Ifattachingtoconcrete
oor,rstdrill3/16"(0,48cm)dia.pilotholesusing
masonry drill bit.
5. Be sure the 4 levelling legs are at the highest
position they can be.
6. Slide range into place making sure structure of the
range is trapped by the anti-tip bracket (Figure 13).
Lower the range by adjusting the levelling legs until
the underside of the cooktop is sitting level on the
countertop. Refer to "Levelling the Range" section.
7. After installation, verify that the anti-tip bracket is
engaged by grasping the top rear edge of the range
and carefully attempt to tilt it forward to make sure
range is properly anchored.

Anti-T ip Brackets Installation
11.1
Models Equipped with Leveling Device
T o reduce the risk of tipping o f the
range,therangemustbesecuredtotheoorby
properly installed anti-tip bracket and screws packed
with the range. These parts are located in the oven.
Failure to install the anti-tip bracket will allow the range
to tip over if excessive weight is placed on an open door
or if a child climbs upon it. Serious injury might result
from spilled hot liquids or from the range itself.

If range is ever moved to a different location, the anti-
