Instructions for Use
Description
Helioseal is a light-curing, white-shaded fissure
sealant.
Composition
Helioseal consists of Bis-GMA and triethylene glycol
dimethacrylate (> 97 wt%), as well as titanium
dioxide (2 wt%). Additional contents are stabilizers
and catalysts (< 1 wt%).
Indication
Helioseal is used to seal pits, fissures, and Foramina
Caeca.
Contraindication
– If the patient is known to be allergic to any of
the material´s ingredients.
– If a dry working field cannot be established.
Side effects
In individual cases, contact allergies may occur.
According to today’s standard of knowledge, systemic side effects are not known.
Interactions
None known to date.

Step-by-step application procedure

Shake the Helioseal bottle well before use. Open
the bottle only immediately before use to prevent
premature polymerization by light.
1. Thoroughly clean the enamel surface
to be sealed.
2. Isolate the working field, preferably
with a rubber dam.
3. Apply an etching gel, e.g. Email
Preparator blue, and let it react for 30 to
60 sec.
4. Rinse thoroughly.
Recommendation
We recommend subsequent fluoride application
(e.g. Fluor Protector) to provide optimum protection
after sealing.
Warning
Avoid contact of unpolymerized material with
skin/mucous membrane or eyes. Unpolymerized
Helioseal may cause slight irritations and, in rare
cases, may lead to a sensitization against methacrylates.
Storage
– Close Helioseal bottle immediately after use.
– Store material at 2–28 °C (36–82 °F).
– Shelf life: see date of expiration.
– Do not use the material after the indicated date
of expiration.
5. Dry with water- and oil-free air.The
etched enamel should have a mat white
appearance.Avoid contamination of the
etched surface with saliva.
6. Apply Helioseal directly with the
disposable cannula or a brush, and
disperse.
7. Wait for approx. 15 sec. Then cure the
sealant with a suitable polymerization
light (e.g.Astralis) for 20 sec.
8. Check seal and occlusion.

Beschreibung
Helioseal ist ein lichthärtender, weiss eingefärbter
Fissurenversiegler.
Zusammensetzung
Helioseal besteht aus Bis-GMA und Triethylenglycoldimethacrylat (>97 Gew.%) und Titandioxid (2 Gew.%).
Zusätzlich enthalten sind Stabilisatoren und Katalysatoren (<1 Gew.%).
Indikation
Helioseal dient zur Versiegelung von Fissuren,
Grübchen und Foramina Caeca.
Kontraindikation
– Bei bekannter Allergie auf einen oder mehrere
Inhaltsstoffe ist auf die Applikation von Helioseal
zu verzichten.
– Die Versiegelung mit Helioseal ist kontraindiziert,
wenn die Feuchtigkeitskontrolle des Arbeitsgebietes nicht möglich ist.
Nebenwirkungen
In Einzelfällen kann es zu Kontaktallergien kommen. Systemische Nebenwirkungen treten nach
heutigem Erkenntnisstand nicht auf.
Wechselwirkungen
Bisher keine bekannt.
Anwendung
Vor dem Gebrauch die Helioseal Flasche kräftig
schütteln. Die Flasche erst unmittelbar vor dem Verbrauch öffnen, da bei Lichteintritt eine Polymerisation erfolgen kann.
1. Die zu versiegelnde Schmelzfläche
gründlich reinigen
2. Arbeitsfeld möglichst mit Kofferdam
trockenlegen
3. Ätzgel, z.B. Email Preparator blau,
auftragen. Einwirkzeit 30 bis 60 Sek.
4. Gründlich abspülen
5. Mit öl- und wasserfreier Luft trocknen;
geätzter Schmelz sieht matt weiss aus;
Speichelkontamination der zu
versiegelnden Fläche vermeiden
6. Helioseal direkt aus der Einmalkanüle
oder mit einem Pinsel aufbringen und
verteilen
7. Nach ca. 15 Sek. Wartezeit den
Versiegler unter einer geeigneten
Polymerisationslampe (z.B.Astralis) 20
Sek. aushärten
8. Versiegelung und Okklusion
kontrollieren
Empfehlung
Zum optimalen Schutz nach der Versiegelung lokal
fluoridieren (z.B. mit Fluor Protector)

Warnhinweise
Kontakt mit unausgehärtetem Material mit Haut/
Schleimhaut und Augen vermeiden. Helioseal kann
in unausgehärtetem Zustand leicht reizend wirken
und in seltenen Fällen zu einer Sensibilisierung auf
Methacrylate führen.
Lager- und Aufbewahrungshinweise
– Die Helioseal Flasche nach Gebrauch sofort
sorgfältig verschliessen
– Lagerung bei 2–28 °C
– Lagerstabilität: siehe Verfalldatum
– Nach Ablauf des Verfalldatums nicht mehr
verwenden
Für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren

Description
Composite de scellement des sillons
photopolymérisable, teinté en blanc.
Composition
Helioseal se compose de Bis-GMA et de
triéthylèneglycole diméthacrylate (97 % poids) et
de dioxyde de titane (2 % poids). Sont contenus
aussi des stabilisateurs et des catalyseurs
(< 1 % poids).
Indication
Scellement préventif des puits et sillons.
Contre-indications
– Renoncer à l’utilisation d’Helioseal dans le cas où
le patient présente une allergie connue à l’un de
ses composants.
– Le scellement avec Helioseal est contre-indiqué
lorsque le champ opératoire ne peut être isolé.
Effets secondaires
Dans certains cas, des allergies cutanées ont été
observées.Aucun effet secondaire systémique n’a
été observé, dans l’état actuel des connaissances.
Interférences
Aucune connue à ce jour.

Agiter vigoureusement le flacon avant utilisation.
Ne pas laisser longtemps le flacon ouvert, la
lumière pouvant provoquer une polymérisation
prématurée du matériau.
1. Nettoyer soigneusement la surface
d’émail à traiter
2. Mettre le champ opératoire sous
digue
3. Mordancer l’émail (p. ex. avec Email
Preparator bleu) : appliquer le liquide de
mordançage et laisser agir 30 à 60
secondes
4. Rincer soigneusement les surfaces
mordancées
5. Sécher avec de l’air exempt d’eau et
de graisse; les surfaces mordancées
doivent avoir un aspect blanc crayeux. Si
ce n’est pas le cas (p. ex. à la suite d’une
contamination par la salive), renouveler
l’opération (30 sec.).
6. Appliquer Helioseal avec un pinceau
ou directement à l’aide de la canule
jetable.
7. Laisser reposer 15 secondes.
Polymériser ensuite le matériau pendant
20 secondes (p. ex. avec Astralis).
8. Contrôler l’occlusion
Recommandation
Pour une protection optimale, effectuer une
fluoration locale après traitement
(p. ex. Fluor Protector).
Attention
Eviter le contact de Helioseal non polymérisé avec
la peau, les muqueuses et les yeux, le matériau
pouvant être, à ce stade, légèrement irritant et
conduire, dans certains cas, à une sensibilisation
au méthacrylate.
Conseils de stockage et de conservation
– Refermer le flacon aussitôt après utilisation
– Conservation à température ambiante
(2 à 28 °C)
– Délai de conservation : cf. date indiquée sur
l’emballage
– Ne plus utiliser au-delà de la date de péremption
Ne pas laisser à la portée des enfants!

Metodica d´uso
Agitare la bottiglietta di Helioseal prima dell´uso.
Aprirla solamente al momento del suo utilizzo in
quanto a contatto con la luce puó aversi
polimerizzazione.
1. Detergere accuratamente le superfici
smaltee da trattare
Descrizione
Helioseal é un sigillante bianco per solchi e fessure,
fotoindurente.
Composizione
Helioseal è composto da Bis-GMA, trietilene-glicoldimetacrilato (> 97% in peso) e biossido di titanio
(2% in peso). Sono inoltre contenuti stabilizzatori e
catalizzatori (< 1% in peso).
Indicazioni
per la sigillatura di fessure, solchi e foramina caeca.
Controindicazioni
– in presenza di allergie ai componenti di
Helioseal.
– Quando risulti impossibile mantenere il campo
operativo asciutto.
Effetti collaterali
Effetti collaterali di tipo sistemico non sono stati ad
oggi rilevati. In singoli casi sono state riscontrate
allergie da contatto.
Interazioni
Finora non riscontrate.
2. Isolare il campo operativo
possibilmente con diga
3. Applicare acido mordenzante (p.es:
Email Preparator blue) per un tempo di
30–60 sec.
4. Risciacquare accuratamente
5. Asciugare le superfici mordenzate con
aria priva di acqua ed olio; lo smalto
mordenzato appare di colore bianco/opaco. Evitare la contaminazione
salivare delle superfici da sigillare.
6. Applicare Helioseal con cannula
monouso o con pennellino e distribuire
accuratamente sulla superficie.
7. Dopo 15 secondi di attesa,
polimerizzare il sigillante con apposita
lampada polimerizzante (p.es: Astralis)
per ca. 20 secondi.
8. Controllare l´occlusione.
