Congratulations on the purchase of your new appli­ance. You have chosen a high-quality product. The
operating instructions are part of this product. They
contain important information about safety, usage
and disposal. Before using the product, please
familiarise yourself with all operating and safety
instructions. Use the product only as described and
for the range of applications specified. Please also
pass these operating instructions on to any future
owner.

Intended use

The forestry safety helmet protects its wearer from
head injuries caused by falling or flying objects
and impact from stationary objects.
The ear protectors guard the wearer against noise.

The ear protectors are only suitable for attachment
to the Florabest forestry safety helmet FFSH 3 A1.

The ear protectors are medium-sized and big-sized
and fit most users.

Any other usage or modification of the forestry
safety helmet is deemed to be improper and car­ries a significant risk of accidents. The manufacturer
accepts no responsibility for damage(s) attribut­able to misuse. The forestry safety helmet is not
intended for commercial use.

► Read all safety warnings and all instructions.

Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.

Please pay close attention to the following informa­tion and safety instructions to ensure the best possible
protection and comfort.

■ Whenever you use the helmet, first check that

all components are properly attached, adjusted
and serviced.

■ Always use the helmet with the correct settings

to ensure the required protection.

■ The helmet cannot guarantee complete protec-

tion against injury. It does not replace adher­ence to safe work procedures.

■ Never modify the structure or varnish of the

helmet.

■ The helmet must not come into contact with

liquids containing solvents or alcohol. These
substances can damage the plastic.

■ Knocks or other impacts can cause impercep-

tible impact damage to the helmet, such as
hairline cracks. This compromises the protection
afforded by the helmet, especially in emergen­cies. Replace the helmet if it has been subject to
extreme stresses.

■ Examine the helmet for damage (cracks, tears)

before every use. Only use the helmet and ac­cessories if they are in a flawless condition.

■ Do not modify the helmet as this could compro-

mise its protective effect.

■ Please adhere to all instructions and tips

re garding assembly, adjustments and mainte­nance of the ear protectors.

■ The ear protectors are intended to protect your

ears in noisy areas.

■ They should be worn for as long as the noise

persists.

■ The pads of the ear protectors will show signs

of wear over time. Examine them for tears or
loose spots after each use.

■ Do not clean the ear protectors with chemicals

or substances that are harmful to the wearer.

■ Certain chemical substances can damage this

product. Detailed information is available from
the manufacturer.

■ Ear muffs and especially their foam padding

can wear down over time. Examine them
regularly for tears, loose spots and other signs
of wear.

■ Covering the foam pads with hygiene covers

can compromise the acoustics of the ear muffs.

► Failure to comply with the safety instructions

provided for the ear protectors can seriously
compromise their protective effect.

■ Always flip down the visor when wearing the

helmet.

■ It protects you from flying objects.

■ It does not offer protection from splashing liquids,

hot objects, electricity and infrared/UV rays.

■ Do not use the visor in environments with a pre-

dictable risk from hard or sharp flying objects.

■ Wood shavings and their resin can damage the

visor and impair its transparency.

Assembly

♦ Insert the head strap with all 4 tabs into the

inner mountings of the helmet until they en­gage (see fig. A).

♦ Insert the mounts of the ear protectors

the lateral slots on the helmet until they click
into place (see fig. C).

♦ Attach the visor

♦ Turn the head strap adjuster to adjust the

head strap to fit your head.

♦ The headband should fit your head snugly

when you put on the helmet.

♦ Tighten the headband by turning the head strap

■ The helmet must sit firmly on your head without

exerting uncomfortable pressure.

Always make sure that the helmet is adjusted

♦ Push down the bracket of the ear protectors

to lock the ear protectors onto your ears.

♦ Slide the ear protectors

You can adjust the distance between the visor
and your face by moving the visor manually (see
fig. J).
Alternatively, you can flip the visor all the way
up.

Maintenance, cleaning, storage
and transportation

■ Examine the components for damage and signs

of wear before each use.

■ Always clean the helmet after finishing your

work.

■ Use a moistened cloth to clean the helmet, ear

protectors and visor. Never use petrol, solvents
or cleansers which can damage plastic.

■ To disinfect the helmet and ear protectors, use

only cleaning agents that do not contain sol­vents or aggressive substances.

■ Store the helmet, ear protectors and visor in a

clean, dry environment away from UV rays.

■ The helmet can be transported in the box in

which it was sold.

Durability

■ The materials used for the helmet age naturally.

Only use the helmet for a maximum period of
5 years.
Please refer to the fold-out page (fig. M) for
the date of manufacture. The same symbol is
imprinted into the helmet.

Disposal

Dispose of the product via an approved

waste disposal company or your munici-

pal waste disposal facility. Observe the
currently applicable regulations. Please contact
your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environ­mentally friendly manner.

Einleitung

Wir beglückwünschen Sie zum Kauf Ihres neuen
Gerätes. Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges
Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Teil
dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für
Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen Sie
sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen Bedien­und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das
Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebe­nen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen
bei Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Der Forstschutzhelm ist dazu bestimmt, den Tra­genden vor Kopfverletzungen durch herabfallende
oder umherfliegende Gegenstände und durch
Stöße gegen feststehende Objekte zu schützen.
Der Gehörschutz dient zum Schutz vor Lärm und
störenden Geräuschen.
Befestigen Sie den Gehörschutz nur an dem Florabest
Forstschutzhelm FFSH 3 A1.

Der Gehörschutz liegt im Größenbereich „mittel“ und
„groß“ und passt damit der großen Mehrheit der
Benutzer.

Jede andere Verwendung oder Veränderung des
Forstschutzhelmes gilt als nicht bestimmungsge­mäß und birgt erhebliche Unfallgefahren. Für aus
bestimmungswidriger Verwendung entstandene
Schäden übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung.
Der Forstschutzhelm ist nicht für den gewerblichen
Einsatz bestimmt.

Um einen möglichst hohen Schutz und Tragekomfort
zu gewährleisten, ist es umbedingt erforderlich, die
folgenden Informationen und Sicherheitshinweise zu
beachten.

■ Stellen Sie vor jeder Benutzung des Helmes

sicher, dass alle Komponenten richtig montiert,
eingestellt und gewartet sind.

■ Benutzen Sie den Helm nur mit den korrekten

Einstellungen, um die benötigte Schutzwirkung
zu gewährleisten.

■ Der Helm kann keinen absoluten Schutz vor

Verletzungen bieten und ist auch kein Ersatz für
ein sicheres Arbeiten.

■ Der Helm darf in seiner Bauform/Lackierung

nicht verändert werden.

■ Bringen Sie den Helm nicht in Kontakt mit

lösungsmittel- oder alkoholhaltigen Flüssigkeiten.
Diese können den Kunststoff beschädigen.

■ Der Helm kann durch Stöße oder Schläge

äußerlich nicht sichtbare Beschädigungen
aufweisen (wie z. B. Haarrisse). Dadurch wird
im Notfall kein voller Schutz geboten. Tauschen
Sie den Helm aus, sobald dieser einer starken
Belastung ausgesetzt wurde.

■ Der Helm muss vor jeder Benutzung auf Beschä-

digungen wie Risse oder Sprünge überprüft
werden. Benutzen Sie nur einen einwandfreien
Helm und dessen Zubehör.

■ Nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen am Helm

vor, da sonst die Schutzwirkung negativ beein­trächtigt werden kann.

■ Folgen Sie allen Anweisungen und Hinweisen

zur Montage, Einstellung und Wartung des
Gehörschutzes.

■ Der Gehörschutz schützt in Bereichen, wo eine

Beeinträchtigung durch Lärm zuerwarten ist.

■ Die Helm-Kapselgehörschützer-Kombination

muss in Lärmbereichen ohne Unterbrechung
getragen werden.

■ Die Gehörschutzkissen können durch den

Gebrauch verschleißen und müssen daher nach
dem Gebrauch auf Risse oder Undichtigkeiten
überprüft werden.

■ Zur Reinigung des Gehörschutzes keine Chemi-

kalien oder Substanzen verwenden, die für den
Benutzer schädlich sind.

■ Dieses Produkt kann durch bestimmte chemische

Substanzen leiden. Weitere Angaben sollten
beim Hersteller angefordert werden.

■ Kapselgehörschützer und besonders die

Dichtungskissen können mit dem Gebrauch ver­schleißen und sollten daher häufig auf Zeichen
von zum Beispiel Rissen und Undichtigkeiten
untersucht werden.

■ Die Umhüllung der Dichtungskissen mit

„Hygieneüberzügen“ kann die akustische
Leistung des Kapselgehörschützers beeinträch­tigen.

WARNUNG!

► Bei Nichtbefolgung der angegebenen

Sicherheitshinweise für die Helm-Kapselgehör­schützer-Kombination, kann die Schutzwirkung
ernsthaft beeinträchtigt werden.

■ Das Visier muss beim Tragen immer herunterge-

klappt sein.

■ Das Visier schütz vor Gefahren durch herumflie-

gende Teile.

■ Das Visier schütz nicht vor spritzenden Flüs-

sigkeiten, heißen Gegenständen, Elektrizität,
Infrarot- und UV-Strahlung.

■ Benutzen Sie das Visier nicht, wenn ein vorher-

sehbares Risiko durch umherfliegende harte und
scharfkantige Gegenstände besteht.

■ Das Visier kann sich durch Späne und dessen

Harz zusetzen und die Durchsicht beeinträch­tigen.

Montage

♦ Stecken Sie die Kopfhalterung mit allen 4

Laschen in die inneren Aufnahmen des Helmes

bis diese einrasten (siehe Abb. A).

♦ Stecken Sie die Halterungen des Gehörschutzes

in die seitlichen Aufnahmen des Helmes

bis diese einrasten (siehe Abb. C).

♦ Montieren Sie das Visier

Setzen Sie hierzu das Gitter von unten in den
Schirm ein, bis dieses einrastet.

♦ Schieben Sie jetzt das vormontierte Visier

die Aufnahmen des Gehörschutzes
(siehe Abb. D).

♦ Klappen Sie nun das Visier

(siehe Abb. E).

♦ Schieben Sie jetzt das Visier

Durch das Verschieben des Visiers können Sie den
Abstand vom Visier zum Gesicht einstellen (siehe
Abb. J).
Zusätzlich können Sie das Visier auch ganz nach
oben klappen.

Wartung, Reinigung, Lagerung
und Transport

■ Untersuchen Sie vor jeder Benutzung die

Komponenten auf Beschädigungen und
Verschleißerscheinungen.

■ Reinigen Sie den Helm nach Abschluss der

Arbeit.

■ Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Helmes, Ge-

hörschutzes und des Visiers ein feuchtes Tuch.
Verwenden Sie niemals Benzin, Lösungsmittel
oder Reiniger, die Kunststoff angreifen.

■ Desinfizieren Sie den Helm und den Gehör-

schutz nur mit Mitteln, die keine Lösungsmittel
oder scharfe Chemikalien enthalten.

■ Lagern Sie den Helm, Gehörschutz und Visier in

einer sauberen, trockenen und vor UV-Strahlung
geschützter Umgebung.

■ Der Helm kann in seiner Verkaufsverpackung

tranportiert werden.

Haltbarkeit

■ Der Helm unterliegt einem natürlichen Alte-

rungsprozess der verwendeten Materialien und
darf maximal nur 5 Jahre lang benutzt werden.
Das Herstellungsdatum sentnehmen Sie der
Ausklappseite, (siehe Abb. M). Dieses Symbol
befindet sich auch als Einprägung auf dem
Helm.

Entsorgung

Entsorgen Sie das Produkt über einen

zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder

über Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrich­tung. Beachten Sie die geltenden Vorschriften.
Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsor­gungseinrichtung in Verbindung.
Führen Sie alle Verpackungsmaterialien einer
umweltgerechten Entsorgung zu.
