GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an
outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

• While performing installations described in this section, gloves and goggles or safety glasses should be worn. Two
people should be used when moving the wine cooler.

• Remove interior and exterior packaging prior to installation.

• Before connecting the appliance to a power source, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours; this will reduce the
possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.

• Place your wine cooler on a fl oor that is strong enough to support it when it is fully loaded. To level your wine cooler,
adjust the front leveling leg at the bottom of the unit.

• Locate the wine cooler away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight
and heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also cause the unit
to perform improperly.

• Avoid locating the unit in moist areas.

• Plug the wine cooler into an exclusive, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or
remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be
directed toward a certifi ed electrician or an authorized service centre.

• Do not cover shelves with aluminum foil or any other material which may prevent air circulation.

• In order for the cabinet to remain effi cient do not over load it.

• Do not open the door unless necessary.

• Should the wine cooler be stored without use for long periods, it is suggested, after careful cleaning, to leave the door
ajar. This will allow air to circulate inside the cabinet in order to avoid possible formations of condensation, mold and
odors.

LEVELING INSTRUCTIONS

Beneath the wine cooler there are two leveling legs that are located on either side of
the vent. It is important that your wine cooler is level. To level the unit:

1. Move the wine cooler to its fi nal location.

2. Have someone gently lean against the front of the wine cooler to take some
weight off the leveling legs.

3. Turn the leveling legs clockwise to raise the wine cooler or counter-clockwise to
lower it. Continue in this manner until the wine cooler is level.

LOCATION

Selecting the proper location will ensure peak performance levels for your appliance. Choose a location where the unit
will not be exposed to heat emitting sources (e.g. a fi replace or stove). The wine cooler should not be exposed to direct
sunlight. Do not use product near water, for example in a wet basement or near a sink.

NOTE: This unit is front breathing. Do not
block the front air vent. Blockage of the vent
will result in high operating temperatures and
system failure.

PREPARING THE ENCLOSURE

Tools you will need:

Electrical Requirements:

The appliance must be connected to an individual, properly grounded electrical outlet, protected by a 15 or 20 ampere
circuit breaker or time delay fuse.

• It is recommended that you do not install the unit into a corner (i.e. directly beside a wall). This is to allow the door to
have a greater than 90° opening swing. A limited door swing may lead to damaging the door gasket, however, if it is
necessary to install the unit in a corner, be sure to allow 2-4 inches of clearance at each side.

• The rough cabinet opening must be on a level fl oor area and at least 28 11/16” (72.9 cm) deep by 23 3/4” (60.1 cm)
wide (min). The opening should also have a height of at least 69 8/16” (176.5 cm). There should be a clearance of at
least 2.5” (6.5 cm) between the rear of the unit and the back wall to allow heat to dissipate.

• The electrical outlet may be positioned from within either side of the adjacent cabinetry, or the rear of the shaded area
(as shown in Fig. 2).

• If the electrical outlet is located inside the adjacent cabinetry, cut a 1-1/2” (3.81 cm) diameter hole to admit the power
cord. If the cabinet wall is metal, the hole edge must be covered with a bushing or grommet.

CONTROL PANEL

Indicator light illuminates to signify the cooling mode is currently
in operation.

Control the interior light ON/OFF. (If you press this button, the
inner light is not controlled by the reed switch, and is continu­ ously lit).

To turn appliance on/off (press and hold this button for approxi­ mately 3 seconds).

Adjacent indicator light denotes which scale of temperature is
being displayed.

Setting the Temperature Controls

When you plug in your wine cooler for the fi rst time the temperature will automatically be set to 12°C (54°F) in the upper
zone and to 7°C (45°F) in the lower zone. The default setting is °F.

• The temperature can be set as low as 4°C (39°F) or as high as 18°C (64°F) to suit your specifi c storage require-

FUNCTION INSTRUCTION

Door Ajar Alarm Function

• If the door is not closed completely the alarm will sound after 5 minutes. Please close the door completely to avoid the
loss of cold air.

Temperature Memory Function

• If power is lost the set temperature will be saved by the unit. Once the power resumes the unit will return to the same
set temperature.

T emperature Alarm Function

• If the inner temperature is higher than 23°C (73°F), “HI” is shown on the display panel and the alarm will sound after
one hour. It is to inform you that the inner temperature is too high, please refer to our troubleshooting section.

• If the inner temperature is lower than 0°C (32°F), “LO” is shown on the display panel and the alarm will sound and the
malfunction indicator light will appear at the same time. Note: If this indicator appears, remove any wine from the unit.

If too many bottles/cans are put in at once or the door has not been closed tightly, the unit will display the “HI” signal in the
display panel. This is normal, please wait 5 minutes after you close the door and “HI” will disappear.

It is normal that the cabinet shows “HI” or “LO” from time to time. If it occurs frequently or lasts for a long time, you can
restart the unit by unplugging it. If the problem occurs once again after restart, please contact customer service.

WINE STORAGE

IMPORTANT

The maximum capacity of the unit is 135 bottles. The upper zone will hold a maximum of 60 bottles and the low­er zone a maximum of 75 bottles. This capacity is based on a standard 750ml Bordeaux style bottle that is 3” in
diameter and 12” in height. The actual storage capacity will be dictated by the size and shape of the bottles and
due to these variables may reduce the total capacity below 135 bottles.

Only store unopened, sealed bottles in the unit.

1. The upper zone: In order to achieve a maximum capacity of 60 bottles, the bottles must be positioned alternately on
the upper six (6) shelves as shown in Fig. C. However the upper zone offers greater spacing between the shelves to
allow for bottles larger in diameter, such as Pinot and Burgundies, which have a diameter up to 3 5/8”. These bottles
must be positioned alternately as shown in Fig. D, however due to the larger size this will reduce the bottle count to 9
bottles per shelf.

2. The lower zone: In order to achieve the maximum capacity of 75 bottles, it will be necessary to position the bottles
alternately on the upper six (6) shelves, as shown in Fig. C. This will allow for the storage of ten (10) 750ml bottles
per shelf on each of the lower six (6) shelves. The bottom of the cabinet holds fi fteen (15) 750ml bottles when stocked
according to Fig. E.

1. Fully extend the shelf you wish to remove (Fig. F).

2. Lift the front of the shelf up (Fig. F).

Care and Maintenance

CLEANING YOUR WINE COOLER

Cleaning the Inside:

• Walls, fl oor, inside window and shelves - Some water deposits and dust can be removed with a dry paper towel,

others may require a damp cloth.

Cleaning the Outside:

• Outer Case - It is important to keep the area clean where the door seals against the cabinet. Clean this area with a

soapy cloth. Rinse with a damp cloth and let dry.

• Control Panel and Door - Wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use cleaning sprays, large amounts of
soap and water, abrasive or sharp objects on the panel, they can damage it. Some paper towels may also scratch the
control panel and glass on the door.

• Door Surface - Use only mild, non-abrasive detergents applied with a clean sponge or soft cloth. Rinse well with
damp cloth.

NOTE: Do not use cleaners containing ammonia or alcohol on the wine cooler. Ammonia or alcohol can damage the
appearance of the appliance.

NOTE: Never use any commercial / abrasive cleaners or sharp objects on any part of the wine cooler.

POWER FAILURE

• Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your appliance if you
minimize the number of times the door is opened. If the power is going to be off for a longer period of time, you need
to take the proper steps to protect your contents.

VACATION TIME

• Short vacations: Leave the wine cooler operating during vacations of less than three (3) weeks.

• Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used for several months, remove all items and turn off the appliance.

Clean and dry the interior thoroughly. To prevent odor and mold growth, leave the door open slightly, blocking it open
if necessary.

ENERGY SAVING TIP

• The unit should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances, and out of direct
sunlight.

MOVING YOUR WINE COOLER

• Remove all items.

• Securely tape down all loose items (shelves) inside your appliance.

• Turn the adjustable leg up to the base to avoid damage.

• Tape the door shut.

• Be sure the appliance stays secure in the upright position during transportation. Also protect the outside of the appli­ance with a blanket or similar item.

Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre. Dans l’éventualité d’un court-circuit, la mise à la terre procure un chemin direct con­tournement du courant pour prévenir l’électrocution des manipulateurs de l’appareil.

L’appareil est muni d’un cordon électrique comprenant un fi l de mise à la terre et une fi che de terre. Branchez la fi che
dans une prise de courant correctement installée et mise à la terre.

AVERTISSEMENT - Une fi che de mise à la terre mal branchée peut entraîner un risque d’incendie, de choc électrique
ou de blessures aux personnes qui utilisent l’appareil. Si vous n’êtes pas certain que l’appareil est correctement mis à la
terre, consultez un préposé du service qualifi é.

Si la prise murale est un prise à 2 branches, c’est votre obligation, et la responsabilité vous en incombe, de la faire rem­placer par une prise à trois branches adéquatement mise à la terre.

Pour un meilleur rendement et pour éviter que les ampoules d’éclairage de la résidence soient affectées d’un affaisse­ment de tension, ou que le fusible ou disjoncteur du circuit ne grille ou ne se déclenche, dédiez un circuit individuel d’ali­mentation à la machine à glaçons.

POUR VOTRE SÉCURITÉ

• En faire les installations décrites dans cette section, des gants, les lunette de sécurité devraient être portés. Il faut
deux personnes ou plus pour déplacer le refroidisseur de vin.

• Retirez les emballages intérieur et extérieur avant l’installation.

• Avant de brancher l’appareil à une prise électrique, laissez-le debout pendant approximativement 2 heures; cela
permet de réduire les risque d’un mauvais fonctionnement éventuel du circuit de refroidissement en raison de sa
manutention pendant le transport.

• Placez votre l’appareil sur un sol suffi samment solide pour le supporter lorsqu’il est plein. Pour mettre votre l’appareil
de niveau, ajustez la patte de mise à niveau avant située au bas du l’appareil de qualité supérieure.

• Éloignez le refroidisseur de vin des rayons directs du soleil et de toute source de chaleur (four, appareil de chauffage,
radiateur, etc.). Les rayons directs du soleil et les sources de chaleur peuvent augmenter la consommation élec­trique. Les températures extrêmement basses peuvent provoquer un mauvais fonctionnement de l’appareil.

• Évitez d’installer l’appareil dans une zone humide.

• Branchez le refroidisseur de vin à une prise murale correctement mise à la terre. Sous aucun prétexte, vous ne
devez couper ou enlever la troisième branche (mise à la terre) de la fi che du cordon électrique. Pour toute question
relative à l’alimentation ou à la mise à la terre, faites appel à un électricien qualifi é ou à un centre de service autorisé.

• Ne recouvrez pas les tablettes d’une feuille d’aluminium ou de tout autre matériau pour tablette qui pourrait empêch­er la circulation de l’air.

• N’ouvrez la porte qu’en cas de besoin.

• Lorsque la tout refroidisseur de vin est entreposée pour une longue période sans être utilisée, on recommande,
après un nettoyage minutieux, de laisser la porte ouverte afi n de faire circuler l’air à l’intérieur, de façon à éviter l’ap-
parition de condensation, de moisissure ou d’odeurs.

• Ne pas couvrir les tablettes avec un papier d’alluminium ou tout autre matériel qui pourrait prévenir la circulation de
l’air.

• Pour fonction maximale de l’appareil il est préférable de ne pas surcharger les tablettes.

Sous le conduit de ventilation du refroidisseur de vin, deux pattes de réglage de niveau
sont situées sur chaque côté du conduit de ventilation. Il est important que votre refroid-

1. Installez le refroidisseur de vin à sa position fi nale.

2. Demandez à une autre personne d’appliquer une légère pression sur la partie avant
supérieure du refroidisseur de vin pour l’incliner et alléger la pesanteur sur les
pattes de réglage de mise à niveau.

3. Pivotez les pattes de mise à niveau dans le sens de aiguilles d’une montre pour
lever le refroidisseur de vin ou dans le sens contraire pour l’abaisser. Continuez le

ENDROIT

Le choix du bon emplacement permettra à votre appareil d’avoir un rendement maximal. Choisissez un endroit où l’ap­pareil ne sera pas exposé à des sources de chaleur (p.ex., une cheminée ou un four). N’utilisez pas ce produit près de
l’eau, par exemple dans un sous-sol humide ou près d’un évier.

REMARQUE : Cette unité est de « type respira­tion » avant. Ne bloquez pas la bouche d’aération
sur la face avant de l’appareil. Le blocage de la
bouche d’aération se traduira par des
températures de fonctionnement élevées et de
défaillance du système.

PRÉPARATION DU LA OUVERTURE

Outils nécessaires

En faire les installations décrites dans cette section, des gants et des lunettes de sécurité devraient être portés.

Conditons électriques :

L’appareil doit être raccordé à une prise individuelle correctement installée et mise à la terre, protégée par un disjoncteur
ou un fusible temporisé de 15 ou 20 ampères.

• Nous vous recommandons de ne pas installer le refroidisseur de vin dans un coin (c.-à.-d. directement contre un
mur). Cela permettra une ouverture de porte de plus de 90 degrés, puisqu’une ouverture de porte restreinte peut en­dommager le joint de la porte. Toutefois, s’il est nécessaire d’installer l’appareil dans un coin, assurez-vous de laisser
2-4 pouces d’espace de chaque côté.

• L’ouverture brute de l’enceinte doit être sur une surface de plancher plane et avoir un minimum de 72,9 cm (28 11/16
po) de profondeur et un minimum de 60,1 cm (23 ¾ po) de largeur. L’ouverture doit également avoir une hauteur
d’au moins 176,5 cm (69 8/16 po) et il faut laisser un espace d’au moins 6,5 cm (2 ½ po) entre l’arrière de l’appareil
et le mur arrière, afi n de faciliter la dispersion de la chaleur.

• La prise électrique peut être placée de l’intérieur sur l’un des côtés des armoires adjacentes ou à l’arrière dans la
zone en gris (tel qu’illustré sur la fi gure 2).

• Si la prise électrique se trouve dans l’armoire adjacente, percez un trou de 3,8 cm (1 1/2 po) de diamètre pour faire
passer le cordon d’alimentation. Si la paroi de l’enceinte est métallique, le contour du trou doit être recouvert à l’aide
d’un coussinet ou d’un passe câble.

Lorsque vous branchez votre tout refroidisseur de vin pour la première fois, la température est réglée automatiquement à
12°C (54°F) dans les compartiment et 7°C (45°F) dans la zone inférieure. Le tempéature est affi chée en degrés Fahren-
heit (°F).

• La plage de température peut être réglée à 4°C (39°F) au minimum ou à 18°C (64°F) au maximum pour répondre
à vous besoins spécifi ques d’entreposage. Chaque pression sur les boutons
température par paliers de 1° dans la plage susmentionnée.

• Pour permuter l’affi chage entre les degrés Fahrenheit (°F) et les degrés Celsius (°C), maintenez les boutons

Fonction d’alarme de rappel de porte ouverte

• Si vous oubliez de fermer la porte ou celle-ci n’est pas bien fermée, l’alarme retentit au bout de 5 minutes. Veuillez
fermer complètement la porte et éviter que le froid s’échappe.

Fonction de mémorisation de la température

• La température réglée est sauvegardée par l’appareil en cas de perte de courant; lorsque le courant revient, l’appareil
revient à la même température.

Fonction d’alarme de température

• Lorsque la température intérieure est à plus de 23°C (73°F), on peut lire « HI » sur le panneau d’affi chage, ou adve-
nant cette situation, l’alarme se déclenchera après une heure (voir « Dépannage ») Lorsque la température intérieure
est à moins de -2°C (28°F) dans le compartiment de la boisson ou 0°C (32°F) dans le compartiment du vin on peut
lire « LO » sur le panneau d’affi chage et l’alarme se déclenche. Pour de plus amples informations, veuillez consulter
la guide de l’utilisateur en cas de problèmes. Remarque : Si cet indicateur apparaît, retirez le vin de l’appareil.

Si trop de bouteilles de vin sont mises dans le refridisseur en même temps ou si la porte n’est pas bien fermée, il est pos­sible que « HI » apparaisse sur l’affi cheur. C’est un phénomène normal : attendez quelques minutes après avoir fermé la
porte et « HI » disparaîtra.

Il est normale que le cabinet indique « HI » ou « LO » de temps à autre. Si cela se produit fréquemment ou dure long­temps, vous pouvez éteindre l’appareil, puis le rallumer, pour corriger la situation. Si le problème si reproduit après le
redémarrage de l’appareil, veuillez communiquer avec le service après-vente pour obtenir de l’aide.

ENTREPOSAGE DES VIN

ATTENTION

La capacité maximale de l’unité est de 135 bouteilles. Il est possible de ranger 60 bouteilles au maximum dans
la zone supérieure et 75 bouteilles au maximum dans la zone inférieure. Ces capacités ont été calculées en util­isant des bouteilles de 750 ml standards de style bordeaux, d’un diamètre de 3 pouces, et d’une hauteur de 12
pouces. La capacité réelle variera selon les dimensions et la forme des bouteilles. La capacité peut être réduite
à une quantité moins de 135 bouteilles en fonction de ces facteurs.

Entreposez le vin seulement dans des bouteilles scellées.

1. La zone supérieure : Pour atteindre la capacité maximale de 60 bouteilles, il est nécessaire de positionner les
bouteilles de manière alternée sur les six (6) tablettes supérieures, tel qu’illustré dans la Fig. C. Autrement, l’espace­ment entre les tablettes dans la zone supérieure est plus grand que l’espacement dans la zone inférieure. Alors, il est
possible de ranger des bouteilles de diamètres plus larges (jusqu’à 3 5/8 pouces), tels que les bouteilles de Pinot noir
et de vin de Bourgogne. Pour atteindre la capacité maximale avec les bouteilles plus grandes, il est nécessaire de les
positionner de manière alternée, tel qu’illustré dans la Fig. D. Cependant, à cause de la taille plus grande des bou­teilles, la capacité par tablette sera réduite à 9 bouteilles.

2. La zone inférieure : Pour atteindre la capacité maximale de 75 bouteilles, il sera nécessaire de positionner les
bouteilles de manière alternée sur les six (6) tablettes inférieures, tel qu’indiqué sur la Fig. C. Cela permettra l’en­treposage de dix (10) bouteilles de 750 ml par tablette, sur les six (6) tablettes inférieures. Il est possible d’entreposer
quinze (15) bouteilles de 750 ml sur le fond du compartiment, lorsque les bouteilles sont rangées selon Fig. E.

Important : Ne recouvrez pas l’espace sur les tablettes en verre d’une feuille d’aluminium ou de quelque autre matériau,

cela pour ne pas nuire à la circulation adéquate de l’air dans l’enceinte.

Pour retirer les clayettes à vin :

1. Étirer complètement la clayette que vous désirez retirer (Fig. F).

2. Soulever vers le haut la partie avant de la clayette (Fig. F).

3. Tout en maintenant le rebord de la clayette, pousser la clayette en place et puis vers le haut de manière à la libérer
des clapets arrières (Fig. G).

Soins et entretien

NETTOYAGE DE VOTRE REFROIDISSEUR DE VIN

Comment nettoyer l’intérieur :

• Parois, plancher, intérieur de la visière et tablettes - Cetraines éclaboussures d’eau et poussières peuvent être

essuyées avec des essuie-tout. D’autres taches peuvent nécessiter un linge humide.

Comment nettoyer l’extérieur :

• Extérieur de l’armoire - Il est important de garder la région de scellement de la porte sur l’armoire propre. Nettoyez

avec un tissu savonneux, rincez le région et puis séchez.

• Panneau de commande et porte - Essuyez avec un chiffon humide. Asséchez bien avec un chiffon sec. N’utilisez
pas de nettoyants en aérosol, de grandes quantités d’eau et de savon, d’abrasifs ou d’objets acérés sur le panneau,
ceci pourrait l’endommager. Certains essui-tout peuvent aussi égratigner le panneau de commande et verre de la
porte.

• Surface du porte - N’utilisez que des détergents doux, non abrasifs, appliqués avec une éponge propre ou un chif­fon doux. Rincez abondamment.

REMARQUE : N’utilisez pas de produits nettoyants comprenant de l’ammoniaque ou de l’alcool sur l’appareil. L’ammoni­aque ou l’alcool peuvent altérer le fi ni de l’appareil.

REMARQUE : N’utilisez jamais de nettoyant industriels sur aucune partie de votre appareil.

PANNE DE COURANT

• La plupart des pannes de courant ne durent que quelques heures et ne devraient pas modifi er la température de
votre l’appareil si vous réduisez au maximum le nombre de fois où la porte est ouverte. Si le courant reste coupé
pendant une longue période. il faut prendre des mesures de protection du contenu de l’appareil.

PÉRIODE DE VACANCES

• Courtes vacances : Laissez le unité fonctionner pendant les vacances durant moins de trois (3) semaines.

• Longues vacances : Si l’unité ne doit pas être utilisé pendant plusieurs mois, retirez tout ce qu’il contient et met-
