Toutes nos félicitations pour l'achat de votre nouvel appareil.
Vous avez choisi un produit de grande qualité. Le mode d'emploi fait partie de la
pompe d'aspiration d'huile UOP 12 A1 (désignée ci-après par appareil, pompe
ou produit). Il contient des remarques importantes concernant la sécurité, l'utilisation et la mise au rebut de l'appareil. Veuillez vous familiariser avec l'ensemble
des consignes d'opération et de sécurité avant l'usage du produit. N'utilisez le
produit que conformément aux consignes et pour les domaines d'utilisation prévus.
En cas de transfert du produit à un tiers, remettez-lui également tous les documents.

Utilisation conforme
Cet appareil est exclusivement destiné à l'usage non commercial pour aspirer
l'huile de moteur, le diesel ou le mazout.
Cet appareil ne convient pas pour aspirer de l'eau (pas de lubrifi cation de la
pompe), de l'huile d'engrenages (trop liquide) et de liquides facilement infl ammables (carburant, paraffi ne, etc.).
Tout usage divergent ou toute utilisation allant au-delà seront considérés comme
non conformes. Les prétentions de toutes sortes pour dommages résultant d'un
usage non conforme sont exclues. L'utilisateur est seul à assumer le risque.

Consignes de sécurité fondamentales
Pour assurer la manipulation de l'appareil en toute sécurité,
veuillez respecter les consignes de sécurité suivantes
■ Vérifi ez la présence de dommages visibles extérieurs avant
l'usage de l'appareil. Ne mettez pas en service un appareil
endommagé ou ayant subi une chute.
■ Le câble de cet appareil ne peut pas être remplacé. Si le
câble est endommagé, l'appareil doit être détruit.
■ Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants âgés d'au
moins 8 ans et par des personnes ayant des les capacités
physiques, sensorielles ou mentales réduites ou dénuées
d'expérience ou de connaissance, s’ils (si elles) sont
correctement surveillé(e)s ou si des instructions relatives à

l'utilisation de l'appareil en toute sécurité leur ont été données et si les risques encourus ont été appréhendées. Les
enfants ne doivent pas jouer avec l'appareil. Le nettoyage et
l'entretien par l'usager ne doivent pas être eff ectués par des

■ Toute réparation de l'appareil au cours de la période sous
garantie devra être exclusivement confi ée à un service aprèsvente agréé par le fabricant, sinon tous dommages se produisant ultérieurement ne seront pas couverts par la garantie.
■ Ne procédez à aucune modifi cation ou réparation de votre
propre chef sur l'appareil.
■ Protégez l'appareil de l'humidité et de la pénétration de
liquides.
■ Veuillez respecter le mode d'emploi du constructeur du véhi-
cule ou du mode d'aspiration de l'huile. Certains constructeurs interdisent l'aspiration de l'huile, car il resterait un
certain encrassement en raison de l'usure.
■ Faites particulièrement attention quand vous manipulez l'huile.
Si de l'huile venait en contact avec la peau ou les yeux, rincezles à l'eau et consultez un médecin.
■ Faites particulièrement attention quand vous travaillez sur
une batterie automobile. L'acide de batterie peut s'échapper
et provoquer des blessures graves. Si de l'acide de batterie
venait en contact avec la peau ou les yeux, rincez-les à l'eau
et consultez un médecin.
■ Portez un équipement de protection personnelle.
Le port d'un équipement de protection personnelle (tenue de
travail, protection respiratoire, gants et lunettes de protection)
réduit les risques d'accident.
■ Assurez-vous que le véhicule n'est pas garé sur une surface
pentue, sinon une aspiration intégrale ne serait pas possible.
Assurez-vous que le frein à main est bien enclenché.
■ Ne démarrez pas le moteur lorsque la pompe d'aspiration
d'huile est en cours d'opération.
■ N'aspirez pas d'huile présentant une température supérieure
à 60°C et n'aspirez pas quand le moteur tourne. Le moteur
du véhicule doit être refroidi.

■ Utilisez toujours les colliers pour tuyaux fournis, sinon le
tuyau peut s'aff aisser et provoquer l'écoulement de l'huile.
■ N'utilisez pas l'appareil pour aspirer de l'essence, de la
paraffi ne ou d'autres liquides infl ammables.
■ Faites très attention en manipulant des matériaux ou des
carburants infl ammables. Risque d'explosion !
■ Veillez à ce que la zone de travail soit bien aérée et qu'il n'y
ait aucune fl amme ouverte ou d'autres sources d'infl ammation à proximité. Sinon, il y a un risque d'explosion !
■ N'aspirez pas d'eau car la pompe d'aspiration d'huile n'est
alors pas suffi samment lubrifi ée et peut surchauff er.
■ L'appareil ne convient pas à l'entreposage ou au transport
de carburants ou d'autres liquides.
■ Ne mélangez pas d'huiles diverses dans le même réservoir.
■ Soyez particulièrement vigilant lors de l'opération de la
pompe d'aspiration de l'huile et ne la laissez jamais sans
surveillance.
■ Opérez uniquement la pompe d'aspiration de l'huile lorsque
l'huile de moteur est tiède. L'huile chaude peut faire fondre le
fl exible.
■ La pompe d'aspiration ne doit jamais être opérée sans
fl exible d'aspiration, sinon le moteur de la pompe peut être
sollicité excessivement.
■ Pour éviter toute surchauff e ou des dysfonctionnements, la
pompe d'aspiration ne doit jamais être opérée plus de
30 minutes d'affi lée. Laissez ensuite refroidir la pompe
d'aspiration d'huile pendant env. 10 minutes.
■ Utilisez exclusivement les pinces de raccordement fournies
pour raccorder l'appareil à la batterie automobile.
■ Tenez le câble de raccordement à distance des pièces
chaudes du moteur et ne le laissez pas pendre au-dessus
d'arêtes aiguës.
■ Acheminez le câble de raccordement de telle manière qu'il
ne puisse pas être saisi par des pièces mobiles du moteur.
■ Coupez le câble de raccordement de la batterie automobile,
si l'appareil n'est pas utilisé pendant une période prolongée.

■ Tenez toutes les sources d'infl ammation (par ex. la lumière
ouverte, les cigares, cigarettes incandescentes ou étincelles
électriques) à distance de la batterie automobile. Risque
d'explosion !
■ Evitez tout court-circuit électrique lorsque vous raccordez
l'appareil à la batterie automobile. Raccordez exclusivement
le pôle positif de la pince de raccordement au pôle positif
de la batterie. Raccordez exclusivement le pôle négatif de la
pince de raccordement au pôle négatif de la batterie !
■ Saisissez les pinces de raccordement („–“ et „+“) exclusivement
aux zones isolées !

Recyclage de l'emballage
L'emballage protège l'appareil de tous dommages éventuels au cours du transport.
Les matériaux d'emballage ont été sélectionnés selon des critères de respect de
l'environnement et de recyclage, de sorte qu'ils peuvent être recyclés.
Le retour de l'emballage dans le cycle des matériaux permet d'économiser les
matières premières et réduit la formation de déchets. Recyclez les matériaux d'emballage qui ne sont plus utilisés en conformité avec les règles locales en vigueur.

Fonctionnement et opération
Ce chapitre contient des remarques importantes sur le fonctionnement et l'opération de l'appareil.
Préparer la pompe d'aspiration d'huile
♦ Retirez les capuchons de protection des raccords du fl exible 5 + 6.
♦ Dérouler la conduite souple d'aspiration (Ø 6 mm) 7 et la conduite souple
d'écoulement (Ø 12 mm) 8 et les mettre droites.
♦ Appuyez le fl exible d'aspiration (Ø 6 mm) 7 sur le raccord pour le fl exible

Veillez à ce que les fl exibles ne soient pas coudés ou pliés, pour éviter

d'endommager les fl exibles et la pompe.

Aspirer l'huile
♦ Laissez se rechauff er le moteur de votre véhicule 5 à 10 minutes avant le
pompage (température d'huile env. 40°C - 60°C). La viscosité de l'huile
baisse alors et se laisse mieux pomper.
♦ Eteignez le moteur du véhicule.
♦ Déroulez la conduite souple d'aspiration (Ø 6 mm) 7 et la conduite souple
d'écoulement (Ø 12 mm)
♦ Introduisez le fl exible d'aspiration (Ø 6 mm) 7 dans l'orifi ce de contrôle
du niveau d'huile de votre véhicule. Introduisez-le avec précaution jusqu'au
point inférieur du carter d'huile.
♦ Utilisez un récipient adapté pour recueillir l'huile usagée et introduisez le
fl exible d'écoulement (Ø 12 mm) 8 dans le récipient.
♦ Assurez-vous que le bouton de mise en marche/arrêt 2 se trouve en
position 0 (éteint).
♦ Raccordez tout d'abord la pince de raccordement à polarité positive rouge
(rouge) 3 au pôle positif (+) de la batterie automobile.
♦ Raccordez ensuite la pince de raccordement de polarité négative noire
(noir) 4 au pôle négatif (-) de la batterie automobile.
♦ Mettez le bouton de mise en marche/arrêt 2 en position I (marche), pour
allumer la pompe d'aspiration d'huile
♦ Aspirez l'huile du moteur/du carter d'huile.
♦ Mettez le bouton de mise en marche/arrêt 2 en position 0 (arrêt), s'il n'y
a plus d'huile dans le moteur/le carter d'huile. Ne laissez pas la pompe
d'aspiration d'huile allumée, si celle-ci n'aspire pas d'huile.
♦ Ne laissez pas la pompe d'aspiration d'huile pendant plus de 30 minutes
d'affi lée.
♦ Mettez de l'huile nouvelle conformément aux instructions du constructeur de
votre véhicule. Vérifi ez le niveau d'huile à l'aide d'une jauge à huile.
♦ Nettoyez la pompe d'aspiration d'huile après avoir eff ectué les travaux en
ajoutant un peu d'huile nouvelle.
♦ Recyclez l'huile usagée conformément aux règles légales en vigueur dans
votre pays (cf. également le chapitre Mise au rebut).
♦ Desserrez fi xation vissée 9 et débranchez de la pompe d'aspiration d'huile
la conduite souple d'aspiration (Ø 6 mm) 7 et la conduite souple d'écou-
lement (Ø 12 mm) 8. Entreposer toutes ces pièces dans un local propre,
à l'abri de l'humidité et des poussières.

Nettoyage
ATTENTION
Dommages sur l'appareil !
► Assurez-vous lors du nettoyage qu'aucune humidité ne pénètre dans
l'appareil pour éviter tous dommages irréparables sur l'appareil.
Nettoyage du boîtier
♦ Nettoyez la pompe d'aspiration d'huile après chaque opération d'aspiration,
en ajoutant un peu d'huile nouvelle.
♦ Nettoyez les pinces de raccordement après chaque opération d'aspiration.
A l'aide d'un chiff on sec, retirez tous résidus de liquide de batterie des pinces
de raccordement pour les protéger de la corrosion.
♦ Nettoyez les surfaces de l'appareil et les fl exibles à l'aide d'un chiff on doux
et sec.
Entretien
♦ Contrôlez l'appareil avant chaque usage pour vérifi er la présence de
dommages visibles.
♦ Contrôlez les câbles avant chaque utilisation pour vérifi er la présence de
dommages.
♦ Contrôlez les colliers des tuyaux 9 pour vérifi er leur bonne assise.
♦ Avant chaque utilisation, veuillez contrôler l'isolation des pinces de raccor-
dement 3 + 4.

Mise au rebut
Mise au rebut de l'appareil
L'appareil ne doit jamais être jeté dans la poubelle domestique
normale. Ce produit est assujetti à la directive européenne
2012/19/EU WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Remettez l'appareil destiné au recyclage à une entreprise spécialisée ou au
centre de recyclage de votre commune. Respectez la réglementation en vigueur.
En cas de doutes, contactez votre centre d'élimination des déchets.
Vidanger l'huile usagée
Ne laissez jamais de l'huile nouvelle ou usagée s'écouler dans le sol ou dans les
canalisations. C'est illégal ! Recueillez l'huile usagée dans un récipient adapté
dans le respect de l'environnement. Jetez-la dans le point de collecte le plus proche,
une station service ou le revendeur d'huile.

Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil der Ölabsaugpumpe UOP 12 A1 (nachfolgend als
Gerät, Pumpe oder Produkt bezeichnet). Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts
mit allen Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur
wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie alle
Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.

Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für den nicht gewerblichen Gebrauch zum
Abpumpen von Motorenöl, Diesel oder Heizöl bestimmt.
Dieses Gerät ist nicht zum Abpumpen von Wasser (keine Schmierung der Pumpe),
Getriebeöl (zu Dünnfl üssig) und leicht entzündlichen Flüssigkeiten (Benzin,
Parafi n usw.) geeignet.
Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Ansprüche jeglicher Art wegen Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer
Verwendung sind ausgeschlossen. Das Risiko trägt allein der Benutzer.

Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die
folgenden Sicherheitshinweise:
■ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere
sichtbare Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder heruntergefallenes Gerät nicht in Betrieb.
■ Die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes kann nicht ersetzt werden.
Bei Beschädigung der Leitung ist das Gerät zu verschrotten.
■ Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber
sowie von Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen
oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und
Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder
bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen

wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstehen.
Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und
Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht von Kindern ohne Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.
■ Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während der Garantiezeit darf
nur von einem vom Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst vorgenommen werden, sonst besteht bei nachfolgenden Schäden kein Garantieanspruch mehr.
■ Nehmen Sie keine eigenmächtigen Umbauten oder
Veränderungen am Gerät vor.
■ Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und dem Eindringen
von Flüssigkeiten.
■ Beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung des Fahrzeugherstel-
lers bzgl. des Abpumpens von Öl. Manche Fahrzeughersteller verbieten ein Abpumpen von Öl, da die Verschlammung
z.B. durch Abrieb zurückbleiben würde.
■ Seien Sie besonders aufmerksam, wenn Sie mit Öl hantieren.
Sollte Öl in Kontakt mit Haut oder Augen geraten, spülen Sie
es mit Wasser ab und suchen Sie einen Arzt auf.
■ Gehen Sie besonders vorsichtig vor, wenn Sie an einer Auto-
batterie arbeiten. Batteriesäure kann auslaufen und schwere
Verletzungen verursachen. Sollte Batteriesäure mit Haut oder
Augen in Kontakt kommen, spülen Sie die betroff ene Stelle
mit Wasser und suchen Sie einen Arzt auf.
■ Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüstung. Das
Tragen von persönlicher Schutzausrüstung (Arbeitskleidung,
Atemschutz, Handschuhe und Schutzbrille) verringert das
Risiko von Verletzungen.
■ Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Fahrzeug nicht auf einer schrägen
Fläche geparkt ist, sonst könnte eine vollständige Absaugung
nicht möglich sein. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Handbremse
angezogen ist.
■ Starten Sie nicht den Motor während des Betriebs der Ölab-
saugpumpe.
■ Pumpen Sie kein Öl mit einer Temperatur über 60°C und
pumpen Sie nicht, wenn der Motor läuft. Der Fahrzeugmotor
muss abgekühlt sein.
■ Benutzen Sie immer die mitgelieferten Schlauchschellen,

ansonsten kann der Schlauch abfallen und ein Auslaufen
des Öls verursachen.
■ Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, um Benzin, Paraffi n oder
andere entzündliche Flüssigkeiten zu pumpen.
■ Seien Sie beim Umgang mit entzündlichen Gütern oder Treib-
stoff en besonders vorsichtig. Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!
■ Achten Sie darauf, dass der Arbeitsbereich gut belüftet und
dass sich keine off enen Flammen oder andere Zündquellen
in der Nähe befi nden. Ansonsten besteht Explosionsgefahr!
■ Pumpen Sie kein Wasser, die Ölabsaugpumpe wird nicht
ausreichend geschmiert und kann überhitzen.
■ Das Gerät ist nicht zur Lagerung und oder Transport von
Treibstoff en oder anderen Flüssigkeiten geeignet.
■ Pumpen Sie keine verschiedenen Öle in den gleichen Tank.
■ Seien Sie beim Betrieb der Ölabsaugpumpe besonders
vorsichtig und lassen Sie sie während des Betriebs niemals
unbeaufsichtigt.
■ Betreiben Sie die Ölabsaugpumpe nur, wenn das Motorenöl
warm ist. Heißes Öl kann den Schlauch schmelzen.
■ Die Ölabsaugpumpe darf nie ohne Ansaugschlauch betrieben
werden, ansonsten kann der Pumpenmotor überlastet werden.
■ Um Überhitzung oder Fehlfunktionen zu vermeiden, sollte
die Ölabsaugpumpe nie länger als 30 Minuten dauerhaft
betrieben werden. Lassen Sie die Ölabsaugpumpe
anschließend mindestens 10 Minuten lang abkühlen.
■ Benutzen Sie ausschließlich die mitgelieferten Anschlussklem-
men, um das Gerät an die Autobatterie anzuschließen.
■ Halten Sie das Anschlusskabel von heißen Teilen des Motors
fern und lassen Sie es nicht über scharfe Kanten hängen.
■ Verlegen Sie das Anschlusskabel so, dass es nicht von
beweglichen Teilen des Motors erfasst werden kann.
■ Trennen Sie das Anschlusskabel von der Autobatterie, wenn
Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwenden.
■ Halten Sie Zündquellen (z.B. off enes Licht, brennende Zigarren,
Zigaretten oder elektrische Funken) von der Autobatterie fern. Es
besteht Explosionsgefahr!

■ Vermeiden Sie einen elektrischen Kurzschluss beim Anschluss
des Gerätes an die Autobatterie. Schließen Sie die PluspolAnschlussklemme ausschließlich an den Pluspol der Batterie
an. Schließen Sie die Minuspol-Anschlussklemme ausschließlich an den Minuspol der Batterie an!
■ Fassen Sie die Anschlussklemmen („–“ und „+“) ausschließ-
lich am isolierten Bereich an!

Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten
ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.

In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung und zum Betrieb
des Gerätes.
Ölabsaugpumpe vorbereiten
♦ Entfernen Sie die Schutzkappen von den Schlauchanschlüssen 5 + 6.
♦ Rollen Sie den Ansaugschlauch (Ø 6 mm) 7 und den Ablaufschlauch
(Ø 12 mm) 8 aus und biegen Sie sie gerade.
♦ Drücken Sie den Ansaugschlauch (Ø 6 mm) 7 auf den Anschluss für den

Öl abpumpen
♦ Lassen Sie den Motor Ihres Fahrzeugs vor dem Abpumpen 5 - 10 Minuten
warmlaufen (Öltemperatur ca. 40°C - 60°C). Dadurch sinkt die Viskosität
des Öls und lässt sich besser abpumpen.
♦ Schalten Sie den Fahrzeugmotor aus.
♦ Rollen Sie den Ansaugschlauch (Ø 6 mm) 7 und den Ablaufschlauch
(Ø 12 mm)
♦ Führen Sie den Ansaugschlauch (Ø 6 mm) 7 in die Ölstandsprüföff nung
Ihres Fahrzeuges. Führen Sie ihn vorsichtig bis zum untersten Punkt der
Ölwanne ein.
♦ Verwenden Sie einen geeigneten Behälter, um das alte Öl aufzufangen und
führen Sie den Ablaufschlauch (Ø 12 mm) 8 in den Behälter.
♦ Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich der Ein-/Ausschalter 2 in der Position 0 (aus)
befi ndet.
♦ Schließen Sie zuerst die rote Pluspol-Anschlussklemme (rot) 3 an den
Pluspol (+) der Autobatterie an.
♦ Schließen Sie dann die schwarze Minuspol-Anschlussklemme (schwarz) 4
an den Minuspol (-) der Autobatterie an.
♦ Stellen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter 2 in die Position I (ein), um die Ölabsaug-
pumpe
♦ Pumpen Sie das Öl aus dem Motor/der Ölwanne.
♦ Stellen Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter 2 in die Position 0 (aus), wenn sich kein
Öl mehr im Motor/der Ölwanne befi ndet. Lassen Sie die Ölabsaugpumpe
nicht eingeschaltet, wenn diese kein Öl pumpt.
♦ Lassen Sie die Ölabsaugpumpe nicht länger als 30 Minuten am Stück
laufen.
♦ Füllen Sie frisches Öl gemäß den Anweisungen Ihres Fahrzeugherstellers
ein. Prüfen Sie den Ölstand mit dem Ölmessstab.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Ölabsaugpumpe nach verrichteter Arbeit, indem Sie ein
wenig frisches Öl pumpen.
♦ Entsorgen Sie das Altöl gemäß der gesetzlichen Regulierungen in Ihrem
Land (siehe auch Kapitel Entsorgung).
♦ Lösen Sie die Schlauchklemmen 9 und entfernen Sie den Ansaugschlauch
(Ø 6 mm) 7 und Ablaufschlauch (Ø 12 mm) 8 von der Ölabsaugpumpe.

Reinigung
ACHTUNG
Beschädigung des Gerätes!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in das Gerät
eindringt, um eine irreparable Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden.
Gehäuse reinigen
♦ Reinigen Sie die Ölabsaugpumpe nach jedem Abpumpen, indem Sie ein
wenig frisches Öl pumpen.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Anschlussklemmen nach jedem Pumpen. Wischen Sie
eventuell vorhandene Batteriefl üssigkeit mit einem trockenen Tuch von den
Anschlussklemmen, um diese vor Korrosion zu schützen.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Oberfl ächen des Gerätes und die Schläuche mit einem
weichen, trockenen Tuch.
Wartung
♦ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor jeder Verwendung auf äußere sichtbare Schäden.
♦ Kontrollieren Sie die Kabel vor jeder Verwendung auf Beschädigungen.
♦ Kontrollieren Sie die Schlauchschellen 9 auf festen Sitz.
♦ Kontrollieren Sie vor jeder Verwendung die Isolation der Anschlussklemmen

Entsorgung
Gerät entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.
Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden

Altöl entsorgen
Lassen Sie frisches oder altes Öl niemals in den Boden oder die Kanalisation fl ießen.
Dies ist illegal! Sammeln Sie altes Öl in einem geeigneten Behälter, um die Umwelt zu
schonen. Entsorgen Sie es bei Ihrer lokalen Sammelstelle, Tankstelle oder Ölhändler.

sorgfältig produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft geprüft. Bitte bewahren
Sie den Kassenbon als Nachweis für den Kauf auf. Bitte setzen Sie sich im
Garantiefall mit Ihrer Servicestelle telefonisch in Verbindung. Nur so kann eine
kostenlose Einsendung Ihrer Ware gewährleistet werden.
HINWEIS
Das Produkt ist lediglich für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch

Information for these operating instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your new device.
You have clearly decided in favour of a quality product. These operating instructions
are a component of the Oil Suction Pump UOP 12 A1 (henceforth designated
as the device, pump or product). They contain important information in regard to
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of
these operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and
only for the specifi ed areas of application. In addition, pass these documents on,
together with the product, to any future owner.

including as extracts, as well as the reproduction of images, also in an altered
state, is only permitted with the written authorisation of the manufacturer.

The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by failure to observe
these operating instructions, improper use, incompetent repairs, making unauthorised modifi cations or for using unapproved replacement parts.
Intended use
This device is intended exclusively for noncommercial use in the pumping of
engine oil, diesel or fuel oil.
This product is not suitable for pumping water (no lubrication of the pump), gearbox oil (too thin-bodied) or highly fl ammable liquids (petrol and paraffi n etc.).
This device is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned.
Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be accepted.
The operator alone bears liability.

Safety
In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling
of the device. This device complies with the statutory safety regulations. Incorrect
usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.
Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the device observe the following safety
information:
■ Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do
not put into operation a device that is damaged or has been
dropped.
■ The connecting cable on this appliance cannot be replaced.
If the cable is damaged, the whole appliance must be
scrapped.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged 8 over and by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they
are under supervision or have been told how to use of the
appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children unless
they are supervised.

■ A repair to the device during the warranty period may only
be carried out by a customer service department authorised
by the manufacturer otherwise no additional warranty claims
can be considered for subsequent damages.
■ Do not perform any modifi cations or changes to the appli-
ance yourself.
■ Protect the device against moisture and the penetration of
liquids.
■ Pay heed to the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer
regarding the pumping of oil. Some vehicle manufacturers
forbid pumping the oil out because the sludging, such as
from abrasion, would remain behind.
■ Be particularly careful when you are handling oil. Should oil
come into contact with the skin or eyes, rinse it off with water
and seek medical attention.
■ Be particularly careful if you are working on a car battery.
Battery acid could leak out and cause serious injury. Should
battery acid come into contact with the skin or eyes, rinse the
aff ected part off with water and seek medical attention.
■ Wear personal protective equipment. The
wearing of personal protection equipment (work clothing,
respirators, gloves and goggles) reduces the risk of personal
injury.
■ Ensure that your vehicle is not parked on a sloped surface,
as it may not be possible to eff ect a complete oil extraction.
Ensure that the hand brake is engaged.
■ Do not start the engine during the operation of the oil suction
pump.
■ Do not pump oil at a temperature above 60°C and do not
pump it when the engine is running. The vehicle engine must
be cool.
■ Always use the supplied hose clamps, otherwise the tube
may fall off and cause a spillage of the oil.
■ Do not use the device to pump petrol, paraffi n or other
infl ammable liquids.
■ Be especially careful when dealing with infl ammable materi-
als or fuels. There is the risk of an explosion!

■ Ensure that the work area is well ventilated and that there are
no open fl ames or other ignition sources in the vicinity. Otherwise, there is risk of explosion!
■ Do not pump water, the oil suction pump will not be suffi -
ciently lubricated and could overheat.
■ The device is not suitable for the storage and/or transport of
fuels or other liquids.
■ Do not pump diff erent oils into the same tank.
■ Be extra careful when operating the oil suction pump and do
not leave it unattended when it is in operation.
■ Use the oil suction pump only when the engine oil is warm.
Hot oil can melt the hose.
■ The oil suction pump must NEVER be operated without the
suction hose, otherwise the pump motor could be overloaded.
■ To avoid overheating or malfunctions, the oil suction pump
should never be operated continuously for longer than
30 minutes. Allow the oil suction pump to cool down
for approx. 10 minutes.
■ Use only the supplied connection terminals to connect the
device to a car battery.
■ Keep the connection cable away from hot parts of the en-
gine and do not let it hang over sharp edges.
■ Route the connection cable so that it cannot be caught up in
moving parts of the engine.
■ Disconnect the connection cable from the car battery when
the device will not be in use for longer periods of time.
■ Keep sources of ignition (e.g. naked fl ames, lighted cigars,
cigarettes or electrical sparks) away from the car battery.
There is the risk of an explosion!
■ Avoid causing an electrical short-circuit when connecting
the device to the battery. Connect the positive pole terminal
clamp only to the positive pole of the battery. Connect the
negative pole terminal clamp only to the negative pole of
the battery.
■ Connect the terminal clamps ("–" and "+") only to the insu-
lated area!

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material
and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material
that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

Handling and operation
In this chapter you receive important information for the handling and operation
of the device.
Preparing the oil suction pump
♦ Remove the protective caps from the hose connections 5 + 6.
♦ Roll out the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 7 and the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm) 8
and bend them straight.
♦ Press the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 7 onto the connection for the suction
hose 6.
♦ Press the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm) 8 onto the connection for the
discharge hose 5.
♦ Thereby, bear in mind the direction of fl ow (
on the type plate of the oil suction pump .
♦ Secure both hoses with the supplied hose clamps 9.
TAKE NOTE
Ensure that the hoses are not kinked or bent, otherwise the hoses and the

pump could be damaged.
Pumping oil out
♦ Before starting to pump oil out, let your vehicle engine warm-up for 5 - 10
minutes (oil temperature 40°C - 60°C). This reduces the viscosity of the oil
and it can then be pumped out more effi ciently.
♦ Switch the vehicle motor off .
♦ Roll out the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 7 and the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm) 8.
♦ Insert the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 7 into the dipstick opening of your vehicle.
Insert it carefully down to the lowest point of the oil sump.
♦ Use a suitable container to collect the old oil and insert the discharge hose
(Ø 12 mm) 8 into the container.
♦ Ensure that the on/off switch 2 is in the position 0 (off ).
♦ First, connect the red positive-pole connection terminal (red) 3 to the
positive-pole (+) of the car battery.
♦ Then connect the black negative-pole connection terminal (black) 4 to the
negative-pole (-) of the car battery.
♦ Place the on/off switch 2 at position I (On) to switch the oil suction pump on.
♦ Pump the oil out of the engine/the oil sump.

♦ Place the on/off switch 2 at the position 0 (Off ) when no more oil fl ows
from the engine/the oil sump. Do not leave the oil suction pump
if it is not pumping oil.
♦ Do not let the oil suction pump run for longer than 30 minutes at a time.
♦ Refi ll the engine with fresh oil as directed in your vehicle manufacturer's
instructions. Check the oil level with the dipstick.
♦ Clean the oil suction pump after the job is done by pumping a little fresh oil
through it.
♦ Dispose of the used oil as per the statutory regulations in your country
(see also the chapter Disposal).
♦ Loosen the hose clamps 9 and remove the suction hose (Ø 6 mm) 7 and
the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm) 8 from the oil suction pump. Store all parts
at a dry, clean and dust-free location.

Damage to the device!
► In order to avoid irreparable damage to it, ensure that no moisture gets
inside when you are cleaning the device.
Cleaning the housing
♦ Clean the oil suction pump after every job is done by pumping a little fresh
oil through it.
♦ Clean the connection terminals after each pumping. Wipe off any possibly
present battery fl uid on the connection terminals with a dry cloth so as to
protect them from corrosion.
♦ Clean the surfaces of the device and the hoses with a soft, dry cloth.

Disposal
Disposal of the device
Do not dispose of this device in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2012/19/EU WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the device through an approved disposal centre or at your community
waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt,
please contact your waste disposal centre.
Disposing of used oil
NEVER allow fresh or old oil to fl ow into the ground or the drainage system.
This is illegal! To protect the environment, collect used oil in a suitable container.
Dispose of it at your local collection centre, petrol station or oil dealer.
