Este capítulo contém instruções de segurança importantes
para o manuseamento do aparelho. Uma utilização incorreta
pode causar danos pessoais e materiais.
Instruções básicas de segurança
Para um manuseamento seguro do aparelho, respeite as
seguintes instruções de segurança:
■ Ler as instruções!
Antes de utilizar o produto, familiarize-se com todas
as instruções de operação e segurança.
■ Antes da utilização, verifique a existência de eventuais danos
exteriores visíveis no aparelho. Não tente colocar em funcionamento um aparelho avariado ou que tenha sofrido uma
queda.
■ Em caso de danos dos cabos ou ligações, solicite a sua
substituição a técnicos especializados ou à assistência
técnica, a fim de evitar perigos.
■ Este aparelho pode ser utilizado por crianças com idades
superiores a 8anos, bem como por pessoas com capacidades físicas, sensoriais ou mentais reduzidas, ou com
falta de experiência e/ou conhecimento, caso sejam vigiadas ou instruídas sobre a utilização segura do aparelho e
compreendam os perigos daí resultantes. As crianças não
podem brincar com o aparelho. A limpeza e a manutenção
pelo utilizador não podem ser realizadas por crianças não
vigiadas.

■ Não utilize a esteira para assento em pessoas incapacita-
das, crianças jovens ou pessoas sensíveis ao calor (p. ex.
diabéticos, pessoas com doenças de pele ou partes da
pele cicatrizadas na área de utilização, após o consumo
de analgésicos ou álcool).
■ Não utilize a esteira para assento sem vigilância.
■ Solicite a reparação do aparelho apenas a empresas auto-
rizadas ou ao Serviço de Assistência Técnica. Reparações
inadequadas podem originar perigos consideráveis para
o utilizador. Além disso, a garantia extingue-se.
■ Os componentes avariados devem ser substituídos apenas
por peças sobressalentes originais. Apenas a utilização
destas peças garante o cumprimento dos requisitos de
segurança.
■ Proteja a esteira para assento contra humidade e infiltração
de líquidos. Nunca mergulhe a esteira para assento em
água nem coloque objetos com líquidos (p. ex. jarras) sobre
a mesma.
■ Não introduza agulhas ou outros objetos pontiagudos
na esteira para assento.

■ O aparelho não pode ser utilizado na proximidade de fontes
de calor, chamas abertas (p. ex. velas) ou sob a luz solar
direta, a fim de evitar um sobreaquecimento.
■ Ao utilizar em veículos automóveis, certifique-se de que não
interfere com os dispositivos de segurança, nomeadamente
com os airbags laterais. Para quaisquer questões relacionadas
com airbags, consulte o manual de instruções do seu veículo
ou a sua oficina.
■ Tenha atenção para não adormecer durante a utilização da
mesma. A utilização durante um período de tempo excessivamente longo pode causar queimaduras na pele.

■ Não utilize a esteira para assento em partes do corpo infla-
madas, feridas ou inchadas. Em caso de dúvida consulte um
médico. Caso contrário, as inflamações, os ferimentos e/ou
os inchaços podem agravar-se.
■ Durante a utilização certifique-se sempre de que a ficha de
12 V está introduzida de forma fixa e segura na tomada de
ligação de 12 V e que a tomada está livre de impurezas.
Em caso de contacto insuficiente entre a ficha e a tomada,
a vibração do veículo pode fazer com que a alimentação
de corrente ligue e desligue a intervalos curtos. Isto pode
resultar num sobreaquecimento.
■ Certifique-se de que:
- a esteira para assento é ligada apenas à tensão indicada
nos dados técnicos,
- a esteira para assento não é ligada dobrada e totalmente
fechada,
- a esteira para assento não apresenta vincos,
- não são colocados objetos, como p. ex. malas ou um cesto
de roupa sobre a esteira para assento, enquanto esta se
encontra ligada. Caso contrário, a esteira para assento
pode ser danificada.

Colocação em funcionamento
Material fornecido e inspeção de transporte
Por norma, o aparelho é fornecido com os seguintes componentes:
▯ Esteira para assento climatizada
▯ Este manual de instruções
NOTA
► Verifique a integridade do produto fornecido e a existência de eventuais
danos visíveis.
► Caso falte algum componente ou se verifiquem danos resultantes de
embalagem defeituosa ou do transporte, contacte a linha direta de
Assistência Técnica (ver capítulo Assistência Técnica).
Eliminação da embalagem
A embalagem protege o aparelho contra danos durante o transporte. Os materiais
da embalagem são selecionados tendo em conta os aspetos ambientais e técnicos
relativamente à eliminação, sendo, por isso, recicláveis.
A reciclagem da embalagem permite a poupança de matérias-primas e reduz a
formação de lixo. Elimine os materiais da embalagem que já não são necessários
de acordo com os regulamentos locais em vigor.
Antes da primeira utilização
■ Remova todos os materiais de embalagem e dispositivos de proteção para o
transporte do aparelho.

♦ Na ficha de isqueiro de 12 V para automóvel 4 encontra-se um fusível para
proteger a rede de bordo do veículo. Se o aparelho deixar de funcionar,
controle ou substitua o fusível. Abra a ficha de 12 V para automóvel 4,
rodando cuidadosamente a guarnição roscada C, se necessário com um
alicate, no sentido contrário ao dos ponteiros do relógio e remova-a.
♦ Retire agora a ponta da ficha
♦ Insira agora um novo fusível de tipo F5AL 250 V na ficha de 12 V para auto-

► Nunca mergulhe a esteira para assento em água, a fim de evitar danos

► Não fixe a esteira para assento com molas da roupa, ou similar, para
secar.
► Ligue a esteira para assento à alimentação de corrente apenas quando
estiver completamente seca.

This seat cushion is intended for warming the human body whilst driving a car
(for private use only). This seat cushion is not intended for use in hospitals or for
commercial applications. It is particularly unsuitable for warming babies, infants,
persons who are helpless or insensitive to heat, and animals. Any usage other than
that described above or modifications to the seat cushion is not permitted and may
result in injury and/or damage to the seat cushion. The manufacturer accepts no
liability for damage caused by improper application or usage. The user is the
sole bearer of the risk.

regarding the handling of the product. Incorrect usage can

Basic safety instructions
For safe handling of the product, follow the safety information below:
■ Read the instructions!
Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all
operating and safety instructions.
■ Check product for visible external damage before use.
Do not use products that have been damaged or dropped.
■ To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or con-
nectors to be exchanged by an authorised specialist or the
Customer Service Department.
■ This product may be used by children of the age of 8 years
or more and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use
of the product and understand the potential risks. Children
must not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance
by children should not be carried out without supervision.

■ Do not use the seat cushion for helpless persons, babies or
persons who are insensitive to heat (e.g. people with diabetes, people with illness-related skin changes or scarred areas
of skin in the usage area, or after ingesting painrelieving
drugs or alcohol).

■ Do not operate the seat cushion unsupervised.
■ Have all repairs carried out by authorised specialist compa-
nies or the Customer Service department. Improper repairs
can pose significant risks to the user. Warranty claims also
become void.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original
replacement parts. It can only be guaranteed that safety
requirements are complied with if original replacement parts
are used.
■ Protect the seat cushion from moisture and liquid penetration.
Never submerge the product in water and do not place objects filled with liquids (such as flower vases) on the product.
■ Do not insert needles or other sharp pointed objects into
the seat cushion.
■ The product must not be used in the vicinity of heat sources,
naked flames (e.g. candles) or in direct sunlight in order to
avoid overheating.
■ When the product is being used in vehicles, it must be ensured
that safety equipment is not adversely affected, particularly
the side airbags. Please refer to the operating instructions for
your vehicle or ask your workshop if you have any questions
regarding airbags.

■ Please ensure that you do not fall asleep when using the seat
cushion. Using the product for too long can cause burns.
■ Do not use the seat cushion on areas of the body that are in-
flamed, injured or swollen. If in doubt, obtain medical advice
before using the product. Otherwise the inflammation, injury
or swelling may be aggravated.

■ During operation, always ensure that the 12 V connector
is firmly plugged into the 12 V connection and the socket
is free of soiling. If there is insufficient contact between the
connector and the socket, vehicle vibration may cause the
power supply to switch on and off at short intervals. This can
result in overheating.
■ Please ensure that you:
- only connect the seat cushion to the voltage specified in the
technical information,
- do not switch the seat cushion on when it is folded or crum-
pled up,
- do not kink the seat cushion sharply,
- do not place any objects such as cases or washing baskets
on the seat cushion whilst it is switched on. Otherwise the
seat cushion could become damaged.

NOTE
► Check the contents for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
► If the contents are incomplete or damaged due to defective packaging or
through transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see chapter Service).
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the product from transport damage. The packaging
materials have been selected in accordance with their environmental friendliness
and disposal attributes, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging material
that is no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

■ Remove all packaging materials and all transport securing products from the
product.

Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die
folgenden Sicherheitshinweise:
■ Hinweise lesen!
Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit
allen Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut.
■ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere
sichtbare Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder
heruntergefallenes Gerät nicht in Betrieb.
■ Bei Beschädigung der Kabel oder Anschlüsse lassen Sie diese
von autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice
austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
■ Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber
sowie von Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen
oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und
Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich
des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden

■ Verwenden Sie die Sitzauflage nicht bei Hilflosen, Kleinkin-
dern oder wärmeunempfindlichen Personen (z.B. Diabetikern,
Personen mit krankheitsbedingten Haut veränderungen oder
vernarbten Hautarealen im Anwendungsgebiet, nach der
Einnahme von schmerzlindernden Medikamenten oder
Alkohol).
■ Betreiben Sie die Sitzauflage nicht unbeaufsichtigt.
■ Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten
Fachbetrieben oder dem Kundenservice durchführen. Durch
unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren
für den Benutzer entstehen. Zudem erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
■ Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-Ersatzteile
ausgetauscht werden. Nur bei diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet,
dass sie die Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllen werden.
■ Schützen Sie die Sitzauflage vor Feuchtigkeit und dem Eindrin-
gen von Flüssigkeiten. Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals unter
Wasser und stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gegenstände (z.B. Vasen) auf die Sitzauflage.

■ Stecken Sie keine Nadeln oder spitze Gegenstände in
die Sitzauflage.
■ Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen, offenen
Flammen (z.B. Kerzen) oder im direktem Sonnenlicht betrieben
werden, um eine Überhitzung zu vermeiden.
■ Bei der Verwendung in Fahrzeugen ist darauf zu achten,
dass die Sicherheitseinrichtungen, speziell Seiten-Airbags,
nicht beeinträchtigt werden. Bei Fragen zum Airbag lesen
Sie die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Fahrzeuges oder fragen
Sie bei Ihrer Werkstatt nach.
■ Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie nicht einschlafen, während die
Sitzauflage in Betrieb ist. Allzu lange Anwendung kann zu
Hautverbrennungen führen.

■ Verwenden Sie die Sitzauflage nicht an Körperpartien, die
entzündet, verletzt oder angeschwollen sind. Holen Sie im
Zweifelsfall vor der Anwendung ärztlichen Rat ein. Andernfalls
können sich die Entzündungen, Verletzungen und / oder
Schwellungen verschlimmern.
■ Achten Sie beim Betrieb immer darauf, dass der 12-V-Stecker
fest und sicher in der Buchse des 12-V-Anschlusses steckt
und die Buchse frei von Schmutz ist. Bei ungenügendem Kontakt zwischen Stecker und Buchse kann die Fahrzeugvibration
dazu führen, dass die Stromzufuhr in kurzen Abständen einund ausschaltet. Dies kann Überhitzung zur Folge haben.
■ Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie:
- die Sitzauflage nur an die in den technischen Daten angegebene Spannung anschließen,
- die Sitzauflage nicht im gefalteten oder zusammengeschobenen Zustand einschalten,
- die Sitzauflage nicht scharf knicken,
- keine Gegenstände, wie z.B. Koffer oder einen Wäschekorb auf die Sitzauflage legen, während diese eingeschaltet ist. Andernfalls kann die Sitzauflage beschädigt werden.

Inbetriebnahme
Lieferumfang und Transportinspektion
Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:

► Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare Schäden.
► Bei einer unvollständigen Lieferung oder Schäden infolge mangelhafter
Verpackung oder durch Transport wenden Sie sich an die Service-Hotline
(siehe Kapitel Service).
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoffe und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
Vor dem Erstgebrauch
■ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial und alle Transportsicherungen vom
Gerät.

Bedienung und Betrieb
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung und Betrieb des
Gerätes.
Sitzauflage befestigen
♦ Legen Sie die Sitzauflage auf den Autositz.
♦ Stülpen Sie die Befestigungsgurte
des Autositzes.
♦ Befestigen Sie die Sitzauflage
(siehe Abb. 1).
HINWEISE
► Es müssen nicht immer alle Befestigungsgurte
Probieren Sie aus, wie Sie die Sitzauflage am Besten auf Ihrem Sitz
befestigen können. Nehmen Sie die folgenden Abbildungen zur Hilfe.
► Bei einer extrem hohen oder breiten Rückenlehne befestigen Sie die
Sitzauflage, wie auf Abb. 2 gezeigt.

► Falls Ihr Fahrzeug über einen Seitenairbag verfügt, so achten Sie beim
Befestigen der Sitzauflage
die Bügel der Kopflehne und nicht über den oberen Teil des Autositzes
zu stülpen (siehe Abb. 2). Ansonsten kann es sein, dass der Seitenairbag
beeinträchtigt wird!

Sicherung wechseln
Im 12 V Kfz-Stecker 4 befindet sich eine Sicherung, um das Bordnetz des Fahrzeugs zu schützen. Sollte das Gerät nicht mehr funktionieren, überprüfen bzw.

♦ Öffnen Sie den 12 V Kfz-Stecker 4, indem Sie den geriffelten Schraubein-
satz C ggf. mit einer Zange vorsichtig gegen den Uhrzeigersinn aufdrehen
