thank you for purchasing a Simulation Unit C8+ Cabinet S unit from Sirona.
These Operating Instructions describe your simulation workstation with the maximum range of equipment possible.
Please perform the maintenance of this simulation workstation as specified in the instructions entitled "Care and Maintenance".
Separate Operating Instructions with corresponding maintenance instruc­tions are enclosed with the dental instruments and patient simulators.
Prior to initial startup, you must read all Operating Instructions to familiarize yourself with the simulation workstation.
To prevent personal injury and material damage please also observe the safety information.

2 Warning and safety information
Intended use This Simulation Unit C8+ Cabinet S is used
for training purposes. It is a laboratory workstation that may not be used to treat living persons!
This unit is not intended for operation in areas subject to explosion hazards.
General safety information The “on-site installation” must have been
performed according to our requirements.
As manufacturers of simulation units and in the interest of the operational safety of your system, we stress the importance of having maintenance and repair of your simulation unit performed only by our­selves or by agencies expressly autho­rized by us. Furthermore, safety-critical system components must always be replaced with original spare parts upon fail­ure.
We suggest that you request a certificate showing the nature and extent of the work performed from those who carry out such work; it must contain any changes in rated parameters or working ranges (if applica­ble), as well as the date, the name of the company and a signature.
This type of appliance complies with the requirements of EN 61010/1.
Modifications to this system which might affect the safety of the system operator or parties are prohibited by law!
For reasons of product safety, this product may be operated only with original Sirona accessories or third-party accessories expressly approved by Sirona. The user is responsible for any damage resulting from the use of non-approved accessories.
If any devices not approved by Sirona are connected, they must comply with the applicable standards: EN 61010/1.

Warning and safety information

Water quality compliance A safety unit as specified by EN1717/DIN
1988 must be installed on site. Please ask your specialist dealer about the national requirements and relevant measures to be taken.
Maintenance of the simulation unit Despite the outstanding quality of your
simulation workstation and regular care by the practice team, it is required in the interest of operational safety that preven­tive maintenance be performed at sched­uled intervals.
In order to ensure the operational safety and reliability of your simulation unit and to avoid damage due to natu­ral wear, as the system owner you must have your system checked regu­larly by an authorized service engi­neer. Furthermore, safety checks must be
performed.

Ventilation slots Under no circumstances may the ventila-
tion slots on the unit be covered, since otherwise the air circulation will be obstructed. Do not spray with disinfec­tants, etc. into ventilation slots.
Electric micromotors in dentist element Intermittent operation:
1 min. ON – 7 min. OFF with a motor cur­rent of 1.5 A.
Wireless phone interference with equipment To ensure safe operation of equipment,
the use of mobile wireless phones (cell phones) must be prohibited within the vicinity of the system.

Warning and safety information

Disposal
On the basis of the Directive 2012/19/EU and the country-specific disposal regulations on waste electrical and electronic equipment, we would like to stress that such equipment must be disposed of accordingly within the European Union (EU). These regulations demand environmentally friendly recycling / disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment. These parts must not be disposed of as domestic refuse. This has been symbolized since March 24, 2006 amongst other things by the symbol of the crossed out garbage bin.
Disposal procedure
We feel responsible for our products from the initial idea to their disposal. That is why we give you the option of taking back our waste electrical and electronic equipment.
If disposal is required, please proceed as follows:

In order to arrange return of the electrical equipment, please send a disposal request to enretec GmbH. The following options are available for this purpose:

As manufacturers, we assume the costs for disposal of waste from electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the country-specific disposal regulations (ElektroG). All disassembly, transport and packaging costs are to be borne by the owner/operator.
Proper preparation (cleaning/disinfection/sterilization) of the equipment must be carried out prior to disassembly/disposal.
Any nonpermanently installed equipment will be picked up at its installation site in the practice. Permanently installed equipment will be picked up curbside at your address by appointment.
