Indicaciones de seguridad
En este capítulo obtendrá indicaciones de seguridad importantes para manejar
el aparato.
Este aparato cumple las normas de seguridad prescritas.
Sin embargo, el uso inadecuado puede causar daños personales y materiales.
Para manejar con seguridad el aparato deben tenerse en cuenta las indicaciones
de seguridad siguientes:
¡PELIGRO - DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
Asegúrese de que el zócalo con las conexiones eléctricas no entre nunca
►
en contacto con el agua. Deje que la base se seque completamente si se
ha humedecido por descuido.
► Utilice el hervidor de agua sólo con el zócalo suministrado.
► Preste atención a que el cable de red no se moje o entre en contacto con
humedad durante el servicio. Tiéndalo de modo que no pueda ser aplastado
o dañado de forma alguna.
► En caso de una clavija de red dañada o cable de red dañado, encomiende
su sustitución a personal técnico autorizado o al servicio de posventa con
el fi n de evitar riesgos.
► Retire después del uso siempre la clavija de la base de enchufe. No es
sufi ciente con desconectarlo, ya que mientras esté insertada la clavija de
red en la base de enchufe sigue llegando tensión de red al aparato.
► Antes de usar el aparato, compruebe si hay signos de datos externos
visibles. No ponga en servicio un aparato dañado o que haya caído.
► Las reparaciones en el aparato deben ser realizadas sólo por talleres auto-
rizados o por el servicio al cliente. En caso de reparaciones indebidas se
pueden producir riesgos para los usuarios. Además expirará la garantía.

¡ADVERTENCIA - PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► Caliente el agua siempre con la tapa cerrada, de otro modo no funcionará
el automatismo de desconexión. El agua hirviendo puede salpicar por
encima del borde.
► Pueden escapar vapores calientes. Además, la jarra está muy caliente
durante el funcionamiento. Por ello utilice manoplas de cocina.
► Asegúrese de que el aparato se encuentra estable y en posición vertical
antes de encenderlo. El agua hirviendo puede volcar un aparato que no
apoye de forma estable.
► No permita utilizar el aparato a personas (incluidos los niños) cuyas facul-
tades físicas, sensoriales o mentales, así como / su falta de conocimientos o
de experiencia, les impida hacer un uso seguro del mismo si no están bajo
vigilancia o han sido instruidos correctamente acerca del uso del aparato.
► Vigile a los niños para asegurarse de que no juegan con el aparato.
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
No utilice ningún tipo de temporizador externo o un sistema de control

remoto para accionar el aparato.
► No deje nunca el aparato desatendido durante su funcionamiento.
► Cerciorase que el aparato, el cable de red o la clavija de red no entre
en contacto con fuentes calientes tale como placas de cocción o llamas
abiertas.

INDICACIÓN
Compruebe la integridad de suministro y si hay daños visibles.

► Si el suministro es incompleto o hay daños debido a un embalaje defi ciente
o al transporte, póngase en contacto con la línea directa de asistencia
(véase capítulo Asistencia técnica).

Preparativos
Desembalar
♦ Extraiga todas las piezas del aparato y las instrucciones de uso del cartón.
♦ Retire todo el material de embalaje.
Evacuación del embalaje
El embalaje protege el aparato durante el transporte. El material de embalaje se
ha seleccionado teniendo en cuenta criterios ecológicos y de técnica de eliminación y por ello es reciclable.
La reintroducción del embalaje en el ciclo de materiales ahorra materias primas
y reduce el volumen de residuos. Evacue los materiales de embalaje que no
sean necesarios según las normativas locales aplicables.
INDICACIÓN
Si es posible, conserve el embalaje original durante el periodo de garantía
►
del aparato para poder empaquetarlo correctamente en caso de aplica-
ción de la garantía.

Puesta en funcionamiento
¡ADVERTENCIA - PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► ¡Utilice siempre en el hervidor de agua sólo agua potable fresca! No
consuma agua no identifi cada como potable. ¡De otro modo existe riesgo
de perjuicio para la salud!
Antes de poner en marcha el aparato, asegúrese de que...
– el aparato y la clavija de red se encuentren en perfecto estado y...
– de que se hayan retirado todos los materiales de embalaje.
1) Llene el aparato con agua hasta la marca MAX y deje que hierva una vez
– tal como se describe en capítulo siguiente.
2) Después de hervirla, deseche esta agua.
3) Enjuague la jarra con agua fresca.
4) Vuelva a llenar el aparato con agua hasta la marca MAX y deje que hierva.
Deseche también esta agua.
El aparato está ahora listo para funcionar.
Cómo hervir agua
¡PELIGRO - DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
No coloque nunca la base eléctrica 3 cerca del agua. ¡Peligro de muerte
►
por descarga eléctrica!
¡ADVERTENCIA - PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► Utilice siempre agua potable fresca. No consuma agua que haya per-
manecido durante más de una hora en el hervidor de agua. No vuelva
a hervir el agua que se haya enfriado. Tire siempre el agua sobrante.
¡Pueden formarse gérmenes!
1) ¡Saque la jarra para llenarla!
2) Abra la tapa presionando el botón de desbloqueo 1.
INDICACIÓN
Mantenga la jarra en posición vertical mientras la llena. Sólo de ese modo
►
podrá leer correctamente la escala 5.

3) Llene la jarra...
– como mínimo hasta la marca MIN, para que el aparato no se sobre-
caliente y,
– como máximo hasta la marca MAX con el fi n de que no desborde el
agua mientras hierve.
4) Cierre primero la tapa y coloque la jarra sobre la base 3, de modo que
asiente fi rme sobre la base 3.
5) Introduzca la clavija de red en la base de enchufe.
6) Pulse el interruptor ON/OFF 2 hacia abajo, de modo que encaje.
7) El piloto de control integrado en el interruptor ON/OFF 2 indica que el
aparato está calentando ahora.
8) El aparato se desconecta por sí mismo y el piloto se apaga tan pronto como
el agua esté hirviendo. El interruptor ON/OFF 2 salta hacia afuera.
¡ADVERTENCIA - PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► Por motivos de seguridad no debe abrir la tapa si el agua está hirviendo
o muy caliente. Existe peligro de sufrir quemaduras.
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
Extraiga la clavija de red de la base de enchufe antes de levantar la jarra
►
de la base 3. De ese modo evita que el agua salpicada caiga sobre las
conexiones eléctricas de la base 3 y que de este modo pueda provocarse
un cortocircuito.

Este aparato está equipado con una protección contra sobrecalentamiento.
Si se conecta involuntariamente el aparato sin que exista agua en la jarra,
el aparato se desconectará automáticamente.
Si el aparato se seca p. ej. debido a que la tapa no estaba cerrada, el
aparato se desconecta automáticamente.
En tal caso deje que se enfríe primero el aparato antes de volver a utilizarlo
de nuevo.

Limpieza y cuidado
¡PELIGRO - DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
¡Antes de limpiar el aparato, extraiga siempre la clavija de red de la base
►
de enchufe! ¡En caso contrario existe peligro de descarga eléctrica!
► No abra nunca las piezas de la carcasa. No existen elementos de mando
dentro. Con la carcasa abierta puede existir riesgo debido a descarga
eléctrica.
¡No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua ni en otros líquidos! Aquí se
puede producir peligro de muerte a causa de una descarga eléctrica
si penetran restos de líquidos sobre piezas sometidas a tensión.
¡ADVERTENCIA - PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► Antes de limpiar el aparato, deje que se enfríe completamente.
¡Peligro de quemaduras!
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
No utilice productos de limpieza agresivos ni abrasivos. Éstos pueden
►
dañar la superfi cie y estropear el aparato irreparablemente.
■ Limpie las superfi cies externas y el cable de red con un paño de cocina
ligeramente húmedo. Seque completamente el aparato, antes de utilizarlo
de nuevo. En caso de suciedad endurecida, añada al paño un detergente
suave. Preste atención que no permanezcan restos de detergentes en y
dentro del aparato antes de volver a ponerlo en funcionamiento.
En caso de restos de cal
La sedimentación de cal en el aparato provoca la pérdida de energía e infl uye
en la durabilidad del aparato.
Descalcifi que el aparato en cuanto observe sedimentos de cal.
■ Antes de la descalcifi cación retire el fi ltro-vertedor 6 (véase capítulo
“retirar /insertar fi ltro-vertedor“).
■ Compre un disolvente de cal adecuado en una tienda de electrodomésticos
(p. ej. un descalcifi cador para cafeteras). Proceda como se indica en el
manual de instrucciones del disolvente de la cal.
■ Limpie el aparato después de la descalcifi cación con abundante agua limpia.

Retirar / insertar el fi ltro-vertedor
1) Abra la tapa.
2) Extraiga el fi ltro-vertedor 6 del soporte tirando hacia arriba.
3) Limpie el fi ltro-vertedor 6 con un paño ligeramente humedecido y bajo
agua corriente.
4) Después de limpiarlo, introduzca el nuevo fi ltro-vertedor 6 en el aparato.
Preste atención que encastren el soporte y el fi ltro-vertedor 6 quede fi rmemente asentado.
INDICACIÓN
En caso de que se hayan depositado restos de cal en el fi ltro-vertedor 6,
►
póngalo durante unas horas en una solución de agua y vinagre en una
proporción de 6:1. Los restos de cal se disolverán. Enjuague el fi ltrovertedor 6 con abundante agua limpia.
Conservación
■ Deje que se enfríe el aparato por completo antes de guardarlo.
■ Enrolle el cable de red alrededor del enrollacables 4, bajo la base 3.
■ Guarde el aparato en un lugar seco.

Evacuación del aparato
En ningún caso deberá tirar el aparato con la basura doméstica.
Este producto está sujeto a la directiva europea 2002/96/EC.
Evacue el aparato en un centro de evacuación autorizado a través de las
instalaciones de evacuación comunitarias. Preste atención a las normas
en vigor. En caso de duda póngase en contacto con las instalaciones
municipales de evacuación de residuos.

Este aparato tiene 3 años de garantía desde la fecha de compra. El aparato
ha sido fabricado cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes de su entrega.
Guarde el comprobante de caja como justifi cante de compra. Si necesitara
hacer uso de la garantía, póngase en contacto por teléfono con su punto de
servicio habitual. Este es el único modo de garantizar un envío gratuito.
INDICACIÓN
La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación o del material, pero no los

daños de transporte, ni las piezas sujetas a desgaste y los daños sufridos
por las piezas frágiles (p. ej. el interruptor o las pilas).
Este producto ha sido diseñado exclusivamente para el uso particular y no
para el uso industrial. En caso de manipulación indebida e incorrecta, uso de
la fuerza y en caso de abrir el aparato personas ajenas a nuestros centros de
asistencia técnica autorizados, la garantía pierde su validez.
Esta garantía no reduce en forma alguna sus derechos legales.
El tiempo de garantía no se prolonga debido a prestaciones de garantía.
Esto es válido también para piezas sustituidas y reparadas.
Los posibles defectos o daños detectados al desembalar el aparato se han de

► Accertarsi che durante il funzionamento il cavo di alimentazione non si
bagni o diventi umido. Disporlo in modo tale che non venga schiacciato
o possa essere danneggiato in altro modo.
► Fare sostituire immediatamente spine o cavi danneggiati da personale
specializzato autorizzato o dal centro di assistenza clienti al fi ne di evitare
pericoli.
► Dopo l'uso estrarre sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente. Non è suffi ciente
spegnere l'apparecchio poiché esso è ancora sotto tensione fi no a quando
la spina è inserita nella presa.
► Controllare l'apparecchio prima dell'uso per rilevare eventuali danni visibili.
Non mettere in funzione un apparecchio danneggiato o caduto.
► Fare eseguire le riparazioni solo da aziende specializzate o dall'assistenza
ai clienti. Le riparazioni eff ettuate in modo non conforme possono causare

meccanismo di spegnimento automatico non funzionerà. L'acqua in fase di

prima di accenderlo. L'acqua in fase di ebollizione potrebbe far cadere un
apparecchio posizionato in modo instabile.

Preparativi
Estrazione dalla confezione
♦ Prelevare tutte le parti dell'apparecchio e il manuale di istruzioni dalla
confezione.
♦ Rimuovere completamente il materiale di imballaggio.
Smaltimento della confezione
L'imballaggio protegge l'apparecchio dai danni da trasporto. I materiali di
imballaggio sono stati selezionati in relazione alla loro ecocompatibilità e alle
caratteristiche di smaltimento, e pertanto sono riciclabili.
Il riciclo dell'imballaggio consente di risparmiare materie prime e riduce la generazione di rifi uti. Smaltire il materiale di imballaggio inutilizzato in conformità
alle norme vigenti localmente.

Durante il periodo di validità della garanzia, se possibile, conservare

Messa in funzione

► Utilizzare sempre e solo acqua fresca nel bollitore! Non consumare acqua

non potabile. In caso contrario, sussiste il rischio di danni alla salute!
Prima di mettere in esercizio l'apparecchio accertarsi che ...
– l'apparecchio, la spina e il cavo siano in perfette condizioni e ...
– tutto il materiale d'imballaggio sia stato rimosso dall'apparecchio.
1) Riempire l'apparecchio con acqua fi no al segno MAX e farla bollire, come
descritto al capitolo seguente.
2) Gettare via quest'acqua dopo la bollitura.
3) Lavare il bricco con acqua corrente.
4) Riempire l'apparecchio con acqua fi no al livello MAX sulla scala graduata e
portare a ebollizione. Versare via anche quest'acqua.
L'apparecchio è pronto per l'uso.

► Utilizzare sempre acqua potabile pulita. Non consumare l'acqua che si
trova già da oltre un'ora nel bollitore. Non bollire nuovamente l'acqua
già bollita e raff reddata. Gettare sempre via l'acqua vecchia. Potrebbe
verifi carsi la formazione di germi!
1) Rimuovere il bricco dalla base per riempirlo!
2) Aprire il coperchio, premendo il tasto di sbloccaggio 1.
AVVERTENZA
Durante il riempimento, mantenere il bricco in posizione verticale. Solo in
►
tal modo è possibile leggere correttamente la scala graduata 5.

3) Riempire il bricco ...
– almeno fi no all'indicazione MIN, per non surriscaldare l'apparecchio,
– non oltre il segno MAX affi nché non fuoriesca dell'acqua durante la
bollitura.
4) Chiudere prima il coperchio e quindi collocare il bricco sulla base 3 in
modo che sia posizionato saldamente sulla base 3.
5) Inserire quindi la spina nella presa di corrente.
6) Premere l'interruttore ON/OFF 2 verso il basso, fi no al suo inserimento.
7) La spia di controllo integrata nell'interruttore ON/OFF 2 mostra che l'appa-
recchio si sta riscaldando.
8) L'apparecchio si spegne da solo e la spia di controllo si spegne non appena
l'acqua bolle. L'interruttore ON/OFF 2 scatta.
AVVERTENZA - PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Per motivi di sicurezza, non aprire il coperchio quando l'acqua bolle o è
molto calda. Sussiste il pericolo di ustioni.
ATTENZIONE - DANNI MATERIALI!
Disinserire la spina dalla presa, prima di sollevare il bricco dalla base 3.
►
In tal modo si evita che eventuali fuoriuscite di acqua possano ricadere
sulla base 3 e causare un cortocircuito.
AVVERTENZE
Questo apparecchio è dotato di protezione dal surriscaldamento: se l'appa-

recchio viene acceso inavvertitamente, in assenza di acqua nel bricco si
spegne automaticamente.
Se l'apparecchio dovesse funzionare a vuoto, ad esempio a causa del
coperchio non chiuso, si spegnerà automaticamente.
In tal caso fare raff reddare l'apparecchio prima di riutilizzarlo.

alcun elemento di comando. Con l'alloggiamento aperto, può sussistere il
pericolo di morte a causa di scosse elettriche.
Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua o altri liquidi! Il contatto
fortuito di elementi sotto tensione con residui di liquido durante il funzionamento può comportare il pericolo di morte per scossa elettrica.
AVVERTENZA - PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Prima della pulizia, fare raff reddare completamente l'apparecchio.
Pericolo di ustioni!
ATTENZIONE - DANNI MATERIALI!
Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi o corrosivi. Essi potrebbero attaccare
►
la superfi cie dell'apparecchio, danneggiandolo irreparabilmente.
■ Pulire tutte le superfi ci esterne e il cavo di rete con un panno leggermente
inumidito. Asciugare accuratamente l'apparecchio in ogni caso prima di riutilizzarlo. In caso di sporco resistente, versare un po' di detergente delicato
sul panno. Assicurarsi che non si trovino resti di detergente sull'apparecchio
e al suo interno, prima di rimetterlo in funzione.
In presenza di residui di calcare
I depositi di calcare nell'apparecchio creano sprechi di energia e compromettono
la durata di vita dell'apparecchio.
Decalcifi care l'apparecchio non appena si notano i primi depositi di calcare.
■ Prima della decalcifi cazione, rimuovere il beccuccio-colino 6 (v. capitolo
“Inserimento/rimozione del beccuccio-colino”).
■ Acquistare in un negozio di articoli per la casa un decalcifi cante adatto
per contenitori per alimenti (per es. disincrostanti per macchine da caff è).
Procedere come descritto nelle istruzioni del decalcifi cante.
■ Dopo la decalcifi cazione, risciacquare l'apparecchio con abbondante
acqua corrente.

Rimuovere / inserire il beccuccio-colino
1) Aprire il coperchio.
2) Estrarre il beccuccio-colino 6 dal supporto tirandolo verso l’alto.
3) Pulire il beccuccio-colino 6 con un panno leggermente inumidito, tenendolo
sotto l'acqua corrente.
4) Dopo la pulizia reinserire il beccuccio-colino 6: assicurarsi che i il supporto
si inseriscano e che il beccuccio-colino 6 sia inserito saldamente.
AVVERTENZA
Se nel beccuccio-colino 6 fossero presenti incrostazioni di calcare, immer-
►
gerlo per qualche ora in una soluzione di acqua e aceto in un rapporto di
6:1. In tal modo, le incrostazioni di calcare si scioglieranno. Risciacquare il
beccuccio-colino 6 con abbondante acqua corrente.
Conservazione
■ Prima di riporre l'apparecchio, è necessario farlo raff reddare completamente.
■ Avvolgere il cavo di rete intorno all'apposito dispositivo 4 situato sotto la
base 3.
■ Riporre l'apparecchio in un luogo asciutto.

Safety instructions
In this chapter you will be given important safety information regarding the
handling of the appliance.
This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations.
Incorrect usage can, however, lead to personal injury and property damage.
For safe handling of the appliance pay heed to the following safety information:
RISK - ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Ensure that the base with the electrical connections NEVER comes into
►
contact with water! Ensure that the base is completely dry before use,
especially if it has accidentally become wet.
► Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp during operation.
Lay the cable so that it cannot be trapped or otherwise damaged.
► To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or cables to be replaced
at once by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.
► After use, ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket. Switching
the appliance off is not suffi cient, because the appliance is under power for
as long as the plug is connected to the power socket.
► Before use check the appliance for signs of visible external damage. Do
not put into operation an appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
► Repairs should only be carried out by authorized specialist companies
or by the Customer Service department. Incompetent repairs can result in
signifi cant risks for the user. In addition warranty claims become void.

WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
► Heat water only with the lid closed, otherwise the automatic switch-off cannot
function. Boiling water could then spray out over the rim.
► Hot steam clouds may be released. The kettle also becomes very hot during
use. It is always best to wear oven mitts when handling the kettle.
► Ensure that the appliance is stood stably and vertically before switching it
on. Boiling water can cause an unstable kettle to fall over.
► This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)
with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how
the appliance is to be used.
► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

♦ Remove all components of the appliance and the operating manual from
the carton.
♦ Remove all packing material.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible, preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
►
period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appliance
ideally for its return.

Initial use
WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
► Always and only use freshly drawn mains water in the kettle! Do not con-
sume any water that is not certifi ed as potable. If you do, you are taking a
risk with your health!
Before starting the appliance up, make certain that ...
– the appliance, plug and power cable are in a serviceable condition
and ...
– all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance.
1) Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX marking and let it come to a
full boil once – as described in the next section.
2) After it has boiled, pour this water away.
3) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.
4) Fill the appliance with water once again, up to the MAX marking, and
then bring it to boil. When done, pour this water away also.
The appliance is now ready for use.

Never place the electrical base 3 close to water – this would be a

potentially fatal risk!

WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
► Always use freshly drawn water. Do not consume any water that has
already stood in the kettle for longer than one hour. Do not reboil water
that has cooled down. Always pour old water away. Microbes could have
formed in it!
1) Lift the kettle off of the base when fi lling it!
2) Press the unlocking button 1 and open the lid.
NOTICE
When fi lling it, hold the kettle upright. Only in this way can you correctly
►
read the markings on the scale 5.

3) Fill the kettle...
– to at least the MIN mark, so that the appliance does not overheat,
– to no higher than the MAX mark, so that boiling water cannot spill out.
4) First close the lid and then place the kettle on the base 3 such that it sits
securely on the base 3.
5) Now insert the plug into the mains power socket.
6) Press the ON/OFF switch 2 downwards so that it engages.
7) The integrated indicator light in the ON/OFF switch 2 indicates that the
appliance is now heating up.
8) The appliance switches itself off and the control lamps go out as soon as
the water is on the boil. The ON/OFF switch 2 springs out.
WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
► For safety reasons, the lid should not be opened while the water is boiling
or is very hot. There is a risk of receiving severe scalds.
WARNING - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
First remove the plug from the mains power socket before you lift the carafe
►
from the base 3. This avoids the risk that any water splashing out could
come into contact with live electrical connections in the base 3, which
could cause a short circuit.
INFORMATION
This appliance is fi tted with an overheating protector: if the appliance is
►
switched on accidentally, without any water in the kettle, the appliance
automatically switches itself off .
If, for example due to a non-closed lid the appliance boils dry, the appliance
switches off automatically.
In such cases fi rst allow the appliance to cool down before using it again.

■ Use a descaler designed for household appliances (e.g. for coff ee machines).
Proceed as detailed in the instructions provided for the use of the decalcifying
agent.
■ After descaling, rinse the appliance with lots of clean water.

Removing/replacing the pourer sieve
1) Open the lid.
2) Pull the pourer sieve 6 upwards out of its holder.
3) Clean the pourer sieve 6 with a lightly moistened dishcloth and under running
water.
4) After cleaning it, replace the pourer sieve 6. Ensure that the restraint
engage and that the pourer sieve 6 is fi rmly seated.
NOTICE
Should the scale deposits in the pourer sieve 6 be fi rmly established, lay
►
it in a water-vinegar solution having a ratio of 6:1 for a few hours. The
scale deposits will dissolve themselves. Rinse the pourer sieve 6 with lots
of clear water.
Storage
■ Allow the appliance to cool down completely before putting it into storage.
■ Wind the power cable around the cable winder 4 under the base 3.
■ Store the appliance at a dry location.

Ein unsachgemäßer Gebrauch kann zu Personen- und Sachschäden führen.
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die folgenden Sicher-
heitshinweise:
GEFAHR - ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Sockel mit den elektrischen Anschlüssen niemals
►
mit Wasser in Berührung kommt! Lassen Sie den Sockel erst vollständig trock-
nen, wenn er versehentlich feucht geworden ist.
► Verwenden Sie den Wasserkocher nur mit dem mitgelieferten Sockel.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals nass oder feucht
wird. Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht eingeklemmt oder anderweitig beschä-
digt werden kann.
► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort von autorisiertem
Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu
vermeiden.
► Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose. Ausschalten
alleine genügt nicht, weil noch immer Netzspannung im Gerät anliegt, solan-
ge der Netzstecker in der Steckdose steckt.
► Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere sichtbare
Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder heruntergefallenes Gerät nicht
in Betrieb.
► Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten Fachbetrieben
oder dem Kundenservice durchführen. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen

WARNUNG - VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Erhitzen Sie Wasser immer nur bei geschlossenem Deckel, andernfalls funkti-
oniert die Abschaltautomatik nicht. Kochendes Wasser kann dann über den
Rand herausspritzen.
► Es können heiße Dampfschwaden entweichen. Die Kanne ist zudem im
Betrieb sehr heiß. Tragen Sie daher Topf-Handschuhe.
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät stabil und senkrecht steht, bevor Sie dieses
einschalten. Kochendes Wasser kann ein unstabil stehendes Gerät zum
Umstürzen bringen.
► Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder)
mit eingeschränkten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten
oder mangels Erfahrung und / oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu werden, es
sei denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beauf-

♦ Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem
Karton.
♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.

Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während der Garan-

WARNUNG - VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Verwenden Sie immer nur frisches Trinkwasser im Wasserkocher! Ver-
zehren Sie kein Wasser, welches nicht als Trinkwasser ausgewiesen ist.
Ansonsten besteht die Gefahr von Gesundheitsschäden!
Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, überzeugen Sie sich davon, dass ...
– das Gerät, Netzstecker und Netzkabel in einwandfreiem Zustand sind
und...
– alle Verpackungsmaterialien vom Gerät entfernt sind.
1) Befüllen Sie das Gerät mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung und lassen Sie
es einmal ganz aufkochen – wie im nächsten Kapitel beschrieben.
2) Gießen Sie dieses Wasser nach dem Aufkochen weg.
3) Spülen Sie die Kanne mit klarem Wasser aus.
4) Befüllen Sie das Gerät noch einmal mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung und
lassen Sie es aufkochen. Gießen Sie auch dieses Wasser weg.
Das Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit.

Bringen Sie niemals den elektrischen Sockel 3 in die Nähe von Wasser –

► Verwenden Sie immer frisches Trinkwasser. Verzehren Sie kein Wasser
welches schon länger als eine Stunde im Wasserkocher gestanden hat.
Kochen Sie kein erkaltetes Wasser erneut auf. Schütten Sie altes Wasser
immer weg. Es können sich Keime bilden!
1) Nehmen Sie die Kanne ab zum Befüllen!
2) Öff nen Sie den Deckel, indem Sie die Entriegelungstaste 1 drücken.
HINWEIS
Halten Sie beim Befüllen die Kanne senkrecht. Nur dann können Sie die
►
Skala 5 richtig ablesen.

3) Befüllen Sie die Kanne...
– mindestens bis zur MIN-Markierung, damit das Gerät nicht überhitzt,
– maximal bis zur MAX-Markierung, damit kein kochendes Wasser heraus
schwappt.
4) Schließen Sie erst den Deckel und setzen danach die Kanne so auf den
Sockel 3, dass diese fest auf dem Sockel 3 steht.
5) Stecken Sie nun den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.
6) Drücken Sie den EIN-/AUS-Schalter 2 nach unten, so dass er einrastet.
7) Die im EIN-/AUS-Schalter 2 integrierte Kontrollleuchte zeigt an, dass das
Gerät nun aufheizt.
8) Das Gerät schaltet von selber ab und die Kontrollleuchte erlischt, sobald das
Wasser kocht. Der EIN-/AUS-Schalter 2 springt heraus.
WARNUNG - VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Aus Sicherheitsgründen sollten Sie den Deckel nicht öff nen, wenn das
Wasser kocht oder sehr heiß ist. Es besteht die Gefahr von Verbrühungen.
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
Ziehen Sie erst den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie die Kanne vom
►
Sockel 3 heben. Damit verhindern Sie, dass heraus schwappendes Wasser
auf die elektrischen Anschlüsse im Sockel 3 kommt und einen Kurzschluss
verursachen kann.
HINWEISE
Dieses Gerät ist mit einem Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet: wenn das Ge-
►
rät versehentlich eingeschaltet wird, ohne dass sich Wasser in der Kanne
befi ndet, schaltet das Gerät sich automatisch aus.
Wenn, zum Beispiel aufgrund eines nicht geschlossenen Deckels, das
Gerät trockenläuft, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch aus.
Lassen Sie in diesen Fällen das Gerät erst abkühlen, bevor Sie es erneut
verwenden.

Reinigung und Pfl ege

Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose!

Ansonsten besteht Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages!
► Öff nen Sie niemals irgendwelche Gehäuseteile. Es befi nden sich keinerlei
Bedienelemente darin. Bei geöff netem Gehäuse kann Lebensgefahr bestehen durch elektrischen Schlag.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten!
Hier kann Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag entstehen, wenn im
Betrieb Flüssigkeitsreste auf spannungsführende Teile gelangen.
WARNUNG - VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der Reinigung abkühlen. Verbrennungsgefahr!
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
Benutzen Sie keine scheuernden oder ätzenden Reinigungsmittel. Diese
►
können die Oberfl äche angreifen und das Gerät irreparabel beschädigen.
■ Reinigen Sie alle Außenfl ächen und das Netzkabel mit einem leicht ange-
feuchteten Spültuch. Trocknen Sie das Gerät auf jeden Fall gut ab, bevor Sie
es erneut verwenden. Bei hartnäckigeren Verschmutzungen geben Sie ein
mildes Spülmittel auf das Tuch. Achten Sie darauf, dass sich keine Spülmittelreste am und im Gerät befi nden, bevor Sie es wieder in Betrieb nehmen.
Bei Kalk-Rückständen
Kalkablagerungen im Gerät führen zu Energieverlusten und beeinträchtigen die
Lebensdauer des Gerätes.
Entkalken Sie das Gerät, sobald sich Kalkablagerungen zeigen.
■ Nehmen Sie vor dem Entkalken das Ausgießer-Sieb 6 heraus (siehe Kapitel
“Ausgießer-Sieb abnehmen / einsetzen“).
■ Nehmen Sie einen für Lebensmittelbehälter geeigneten Kalklöser aus dem
Haushaltswarengeschäft (z.B. Kaff eemaschinen-Entkalker). Gehen Sie wie in
der Bedienungsanleitung des Kalklösers beschrieben vor.
■ Reinigen Sie nach dem Entkalken das Gerät mit viel klarem Wasser.

Ausgießer -Sieb abnehmen / einsetzen
1) Öff nen Sie den Deckel.
2) Ziehen Sie das Ausgießer-Sieb 6 nach oben aus der Halterung heraus.
3) Reinigen Sie das Ausgießer-Sieb 6 mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Spültuch und unter fl ießendem Wasser.
4) Setzen Sie nach dem Reinigen das Ausgießer-Sieb 6 wieder ein. Achten Sie
darauf, dass die Halterung einrastet und das Ausgießer-Sieb 6 fest sitzt.
HINWEIS
Sollten sich Kalkrückstände im Ausgießer-Sieb 6 festgesetzt haben, legen
►
Sie es für einige Stunden in eine Wasser-Essig-Lösung in einem Verhältnis
von 6:1. Die Kalkrückstände lösen sich. Spülen Sie das Ausgießer-Sieb 6
mit viel klarem Wasser ab.
Aufbewahren
■ Lassen Sie das Gerät erst vollständig auskühlen, bevor Sie es wegstellen.
■ Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel um die Kabelaufwicklung 4 unter dem Sockel 3.
■ Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen Ort.

Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Das Gerät wurde
sorgfältig produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.
Bitte bewahren Sie den Kassenbon als Nachweis für den Kauf auf. Bitte setzen
Sie sich im Garantiefall mit Ihrer Servicestelle telefonisch in Verbindung. Nur so
kann eine kostenlose Einsendung Ihrer Ware gewährleistet werden.
HINWEIS
Das Produkt ist lediglich für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen
Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung,
Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriff en, die nicht von unserer autorisierten ServiceNiederlassung vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.
Ihre gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.
Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch
für ersetzte und reparierte Teile.
Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach
dem Auspacken gemeldet werden, spätestens aber zwei Tage nach Kaufdatum.
Nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpfl ichtig.
