Intended use
This appliance is intended for human hair styling and for use in household applications only. It is not intended for use on animals or in commercial or industrial environments.
Safety instructions
To avoid a potentially fatal electric shock:
• Never touch the appliance or the plug with wet or moist hands when the plug is in the mains power socket
• Never use the appliance near water, particularly not near sinks, baths or other vessels. .
• Make sure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp during operation. Lay the cable such that it cannot be pinched or otherwise da­maged.
• Arrange for defective plugs and/or cables to be replaced at once by qualified technicians or our Customer Service Department.
• Alway pull the plug out of the mains power socket after use, particularly if you use the appliance in the bathroom. It is not sufficient to simply switch off the appliance – line voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the plug is connected to the mains power socket.
• Make sure that no objects can ever reach the in­side of the appliance, particularly not metal hair clips, grips or hairpins.
To prevent the risk of fire or injury:
• The appliance components can become quite hot during operation. Therefore only touch the handle and the buttons.
• Always and only use the appliance with the at­tachments, never on its own, as the connector for the accessories becomes hot during operation.
• Allow the appliance to cool down before atta­ching or detaching accessories.
• Only use the enclosed original accessories, as they have been optimized to work with this appli­ance. Other parts are possibly not adequately safe.
• Keep the openings for air inlet and outlet vacant for unimpaired air flow. Otherwise the appliance may overheat.
• Be careful with hair spray, water atomizers etc. On the one hand the air flow may blow these substances directly into your eyes. On the other hand these substances must not enter into the appliance – as they may be inflammable, agressive or conductive.
• This appliance is not intended for use by indivi­duals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used.
• Children should be supervised in order to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.

Attaching/detaching accessories
CAUTION:
After use, the appliance components may be hot!
To attach an accessory ...
• Insert it in the accessory attachment slot 1, so that the front arrow symbol on the accessory points to the arrow symbol on the accessory attachment slot 1 .
• Rotate the accessory clockwise until it clicks into place. The rear arrow on the accessory now points to the arrow on the accessory attachment slot 1 .

To detach an accessory ...
• first switch the appliance off and allow it to cool down.
• Press the release button PUSH 7 and turn the accessory in an anti-clockwise direction .
• The accessory can now be pulled from the accessory attachment slot 1.

Switching on/off / Selecting a heat level
When you have fitted the desired accessory and in­serted the plug into the mains power socket, use the level switch 3 to switch the appliance on and se­lect the power level:
"0"the appliance is switched off "1"for low fan power with heat "2"for high fan power with heat
Small round brush 0
With this accessory you can place curls or waves in your hair.
• Wrap the slightly damp strands of hair around the small round brush 0.
• Switch the appliance on to level 1 or 2.
• When the strand is dry, activate the Cool Shot button 2. Wait until the strand has cooled down.
• Rotate the small round brush 0 out of the strand.
• Proceed in the same way with the other strands.
You can switch the appliance off by sliding the level switch 3 to "0" (= appliance off).
To fix the styling, you can use the button Cool Shot
2. The styling is fixed by the cool airflow:
• Press the Cool Shot button 2 during usage
and, at the same time, slide it upwards. The air stream will be cooler.
• When you want to deactivate the cooler air, slide
the Cool Shot button 2 downwards.
Using the attachments
Large round brush e
This attachment gives the hair more volume or large curls.
• Wrap the slightly damp strands of hair around
the large round brush e.
• Switch the appliance on to level 1 or 2.
• When the strand is dry, press the Cool Shot
button 2. Wait until the strand has cooled down.
• Rotate the large round brush e out of the
strand.
• Proceed in the same way with the other strands.
Curling tongs 9
With this accessory you can place small curls (angels curls) in your hair.
• Secure the tip of the strand with the clip.
• Wrap the slightly damp strands of hair around the curling tongs 9.
• Switch the appliance on to level 1 or 2.
• When the strand is dry, activate the Cool Shot button 2. Wait until the strand has cooled down.
• Pull out the curling tongs 9 out of the strand.
• Proceed in the same way with the other strands.
Smoothing brush w
With this attachment you can straighten your hair.
• Take hold of a strand of hair with the opened out smoothing brush w near the hair roots, close it and keep it closed.
• Switch the appliance on to level 1 or 2.
• Slowly pull the strands through the smoothing brush w.
• Proceed in the same way with the other strands.

Half-round brush 8
The half-round brush 8 is suitable for the combing and simultaneous blow drying of the hair.
Styling nozzle r
With this attachment you can selectively style and blow-dry sections of your hair.
Cleaning and Care
Never open the housing of this appliance.
There are no operating elements located inside the appliance. An open housing can present the risk of a potentially fatal electrical shock.
Before cleaning the appliance, ....
• always disconnect the plug from the mains power socket
• and allow the appliance to cool down completely.
Storage
• You can hang the appliance up on the suspension
eyelet 5.
• If you do not intend to use the appliance for an
extended period, store it in the storage bag, q. For this, the appliance must be cooled down!
A few tips for the perfect hairstyle
Only style your hair when it is already almost dry. Divide your hair into individual strands for more volume. You will achieve additonal volume by starting to dry your hair at the hairline and working down towards the ends. After switching off the appliance, wait for a few seconds before releasing the curl. Let your hair cool down well before combing.
You must under no cirumstances immerse the
appliance components in water or other liquids! Risk to life from an electric shock will be cau­sed if residual liquids come into contact with live parts the next time the appliance is used.
• Clean the appliance components with a dry or slightly damp cloth – and carefully dry all parts afterwards.
Clean the air suction grill 6 with a soft brush
at regular intervals. Otherwise, there may be a fire hazard!
Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2002/96/EC.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved di­sposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an
environmentally responsible manner.

Warranty and Service

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been ma­nufactured with care and meticulously examined be­fore delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our Service Depart­ment. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, but not for transport damage, for wearing parts or for damage to fragile compo­nents, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampe­ring not carried out by our authorized service branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period will not be extended by repairs made under warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts. Any damage and defects extant on purchase must be reported immediately after un­packing the appliance, at the latest, two days after the purchase date. Repairs made after the expira­tion of the warranty period are subject to payment.
