1. Safety information
Before using the appliance for the first time, read through these operating instructions carefully and ensure you comply with the operating instructions in all respects!
This appliance should only be used for its intended purpose as described in these instructions.
Do not discard these instructions.
If you pass the appliance on to some­one else, please include the operating instructions.
Intended purpose
The hand blender is designed to chop and purée a range of foods. It is suitable for the volumes occurring in private households but not for commercial use.
Warnings
If necessary, the following warnings will be used in these operating instructions:
DANGER! High risk: Failure to ob­serve this warning may result in in­jury to life and limb.
WARNING! Moderate risk: Failure to ob­serve this warning may result in injury or serious material damage. CAUTION: Low risk: Failure to observe this warning may result in minor injury or mate­rial damage. NOTE: Points and special considerations which should be remembered when using the appliance.
DANGER from small parts that can be swallowed
The fixing material included with the prod­uct contains small parts that might be swal­lowed. Keep away from children under 36 months of age.
DANGER for children
Packing materials are not children's toys. Do not allow children to play with plastic bags: There is a risk of suffoca­tion.
This appliance is not designed to be used by people (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or people without adequate experience and/or understanding unless they are supervised by some­one responsible for their safety or are instructed by the same on how to use the appliance.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appli­cance.
The appliance should be kept out of the reach of children.
DANGER of electric shock due to moisture.
Do not immerse the appliance’s motor part, the mains cable or the mains plug in water or any other liquid.
Protect the appliance’s motor part from moisture, water drops and water spray.
If liquids get into the appliance’s motor part, unplug from the mains immedi­ately. Have the appliance checked before reusing it.
RISK of electrocution
Only plug the mains plug into a socket when the motor part is attached to the blender.
Only connect the power plug to a prop­erly installed wall socket that is easily accessible and supplies voltage match­ing the rating plate. The socket must still be easily accessible after connec­tion.
Make sure that the mains cable is not damaged by sharp edges or hot sur­faces. Do not wind the mains cable around the appliance.

The appliance is not completely dis­connected from the mains even after being switched off. To do so, unplug.
When using the appliance, make sure that the mains cable is not trapped or crushed.
When unplugging the appliance from the socket, always pull on the plug and NOT the cable.

If there is visible damage to the knife or the mains cable, do not use the knife.
To avoid any risk, do not make modifi­cations to the product. The mains cable should not be replaced by a non-spe­cialist. Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist workshop or the Service Centre.
The appliance is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
WARNING about material damage

liquid mixtures the prescribed switch-off time is 30 min­utes.
To prevent damaging the appliance, always stop mixing when the blade is no longer turning or has slowed down. Unplug and check whether something is blocking the container or the food is too tough. Also check whether the appliance has been properly assem­bled.
Only use genuine accessories.
The appliance is not suitable for chop­ping very hard food such as nutmeg, cereals, coffee beans or spices. Choco­late cannot be worked in it, either.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

RISK of injury from cuts
Never reach inside when the blades are rotating. Do not hold spoons or similar items in rotating parts. If your hair is long, make sure it does not get caught. The same applies to loose clothing.
The blade continues to run after the appliance is switched off. Wait until the appliance comes to a standstill before removing the hand blender from the mixture.

3. Assembly
Clean the appliace as described in chapter "Cleaning" on page 6.
DANGER! Only plug the mains plug 2 into a socket when the mo­tor part 5 is attached to the blend­er 8.

1. Place the motor
part 5 on the blend­er 8 in such a way that the attachment marking 7 is pointing to the lock­ing marking 6.
2. Turn the motor part 5
in such a way that the attachment mark­ing 7 is pointing to the locking mark­ing 6. The motor part 5 must audibly and noticeably en­gage.
To remove, turn the motor part 5 in the
opposite direction so that the attach­ment marking 7 is pointing to the locking marking 6 and pull the motor part 5 off the blender 8.
4. Operation
DANGER! Never reach inside when the blades are rotating. Do not hold spoons or similar items in rotating parts. If your hair is long, make sure it does not get caught. The same applies to loose cloth­ing.

Uses
The hand blender is suitable for puréeing fruit and vegetables, soups, dips and sauc­es, as well as for mixing drinks and making milkshakes.
Selecting mixing speed
Adjust the speed to your mixture. For ex­ample, for a soft mixture, choose a low speed and a higher speed for a harder mixture.
Set a speed on a sliding scale using the speed regula­tor 1. Then press the switch “I“ 3.
Press the switch “II“ 4 to mix at maxi-
mum speed.
This is how it’s done
DANGER! only switch the appli­ance on when the blender 8 is im­mersed in the food.
The blade continues to run after the appliance is switched off. Wait until the appliance comes to a standstill before removing the hand blender from the mixture.
1. Where possible, put the food to be puréed or mixed in a tall, narrow con­tainer with a flat base. However, you can also purée foods directly in the pan.

2. Immerse the blend-
er 8 in the food to be puréed or mixed.
3. To purée, keep the On/Off switch “I“ 3 or “II“ 4 pressed down. Move the blender 8 up and down slightly so that the food is processed evenly.
4. When you have finished, release the On/Off switch 3/4.
NOTE: If the blender 8 sucks onto the base of the container, briefly release the On/Off switch 3/4.
5. Cleaning
DANGER! Pull the mains plug 2 from the socket before cleaning the hand blender.
Do not immerse the motor part 5, the mains cable or the mains plug 2 in water or any other liquid.
When washing in the sink, the water should be clear enough for the blade to still be visible.
WARNING! Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
If necessary, wipe the motor part 5 and the mains cable 2 with a slightly damp cloth.
The blender 8 can be washed by hand.
Leave all parts to dry completely before you tidy them away.
A few tips on cleaning
Clean the blender 8 as soon as possi-
ble after use so that the food residue does not dry on.
Whenever processing very salty foods,
wash the blender 8 at once.
6. Wall mounting and storage
DANGER! Store the motor part 5 and the blender 8 out of the reach of children.
To prevent accidents, the mains plug 2
must not be conntected to a socket during storage.
Choose a place where neither heat nor
moisture can affect the appliance. Do not fix the wall mount 10 over a sink or hob plates.
The wall mount 10
can be fixed to the wall with the en­closed fixing materi­al. The fixing materi­al is suitable for standard, solid ma­sonry. It may be nec­essary to use some­thing else for other walls.
Put the motor part 5 together with the
blender 8 and hang them in the wall mount 10.
Store the mains cable 2 in the retain-
er 9.

7. Troubleshooting
If your appliance fails to function as re­quired, please try this checklist first. Per­haps there is only a minor problem which you can solve yourself.

9. Disposal
The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products identi­fied with this symbol may not be discarded with normal household waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electric and electronic appliances. Recy­cling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and protect the environment.
Packaging
When disposing of the packaging, make sure you comply with the environmental regulations applicable in your country.
10. Warranty
The warranty for your appliance is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. The ap­pliance has been manufactured in accord­ance with strict quality guidelines and tested before delivery. Should operational errors occur despite this, however, please phone the service centre rst. Our custom­er consultants will gladly assist you, and ar­range with you how to proceed. The warranty will be invalidated if the appliance is incorrectly connected, if parts from differ­ent manufacturers are used, in the case of normal wear and tear, upon the use of force, independent attempts at repairing the appliance or improper use.

Pesto (red)
Ingredients:
150 g tomatoes (sun-dried) 1 bunch of basil 1 red onion (quartered) 2 tablespoons pine kernels 1-2 cloves of garlic 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar 5 tablespoons olive oil salt pepper
Preparation:
1. Put the tomatoes, stripped basil leaves, pine kernels, garlic and onion into a container.
2. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and purée until fine.
3. Add the vinegar and oil and mix on a low speed (press and hold the On/Off switch “I” 3 and adjust the speed on the sliding scale using the speed regula­tor 1).
4. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Ingredients:
2 bunches of fresh basil 1-2 cloves of garlic 2 tablespoons pine kernels 150 ml olive oil 2 tablespoons Parmesan salt + freshly ground black pepper

1. Put the stripped basil leaves, garlic, pine kernels and olive oil into a con­tainer.

2. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and purée until fine.
3. Finally, add the Parmesan. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Barbecue sauce
Ingredients:
200 g tomatoes (quartered) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil salt 3-4 cloves of garlic 50 ml tomato ketchup 30 g tomato purée 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon sugar cinnamon
Preparation:
1. Put the quartered tomatoes, oil, salt and garlic into a container.
2. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and process everything quickly and evenly.
3. Taste: the garlic flavour has to be very strong.
4. Add the ketchup, tomato purée, vine­gar, lemon juice, sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
5. Mix the sauce to a smooth consistency on a low speed (press and hold the On/ Off switch “I” 3 and adjust the speed on the sliding scale using the speed regu­lator 1).
6. Season to taste.
7. Put the sauce into a pan. Simmer for about 45 minutes at a low temperature until the mixture thickens.
Avocado dip
Ingredients:
2 cloves of garlic 2 ripe avocados 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon olive oil 150 g yoghurt 1/2 teaspoon sugar salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Peel the garlic.
2. Peel the avocados, remove the stones and cut the flesh into pieces.
3. Add the other ingredients.
4. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and mix all the ingredients for approxi­mately 1 minute.
Olive and tomato paste
Ingredients:
approx. 300 g sun-dried tomatoes pre­served in oil approx. 100 g pitted black olives 6 cloves of garlic salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Drain the sun-dried tomatoes and re­tain the oil.
2. If applicable, drain the olives.
3. Put the olives and tomatoes into a mix­ing bowl.
4. Peel and add the garlic cloves.
5. Add about 3 tablespoons of the oil from the tomatoes.
6. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and process everything into a spreada­ble paste.
If required, adjust the flavour of the barbe­cue sauce with chilli powder.

Fresh apple purée
Ingredients:
apples lemon juice sugar 1 pinch cinnamon
Preparation:
1. Clean and peel the apples, cut into pieces and put into a pan with a little water.
2. Add a little lemon juice.
3. Simmer until the apples are soft.
4. Sweeten with sugar to taste and add a pinch of cinnamon.
5. Immerse the blender 8 in the apples, press and hold the On/Off switch “I” 3, adjust the speed on the sliding scale using the speed regulator 1 and purée to the desired consistency.
Raspberry milkshake
Ingredients:
300 ml milk 100 g frozen raspberries 1 teaspoon sugar
Preparation:
1. Put all of the ingredients into a narrow but sufficiently tall container.
2. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and process everything into a milk­shake.
3. If required, sweeten to taste.
Baby food
NOTE: Do not add salt or seasoning to baby food. A baby’s taste buds are much more sensitive than those of an adult. It is important to add a few drops of oil so that the vitamin A can be absorbed from the carrots.
Ingredients:
250 g carrots 250 g potatoes 250 g veal a few drops of rapeseed oil
Preparation:
1. Peel and dice the carrots and potatoes and steam together with the chopped veal until cooked.
2. Add a few drops of oil.
3. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and purée to the desired consistency depending on the baby’s age.
Pea purée
Ingredients:
2 small potatoes 500 g frozen peas cream butter 1 pinch nutmeg salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces. Put into a pan with some water and cook until almost soft.
2. Add the frozen peas and a little water if necessary to cover the peas. Return everything to the boil.
3. Cook the peas for three minutes. Then pour off the liquid.
4. Add a little cream and butter.
5. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and purée everything coarsely. Be careful as you work not to scratch the pan.
6. Season to taste with nutmeg, salt and pepper.

Carrot and ginger soup
Ingredients:
250 g carrots 1 clove of garlic 1 onion 20 g fresh ginger 50 g back bacon 1/2 teaspoon curry powder (medium hot) 1/2 l vegetable stock juice of one orange salt and pepper to garnish: 1/2 bunch fresh chives
Preparation:
1. Wash or peel the carrots. Cut into piec­es.
2. Peel and dice the onion.
3. Dice the bacon.
4. Peel and dice the ginger.
5. Put the bacon, onion and ginger into a pan and sauté for 5 minutes.
6. Peel and quarter the garlic and add to the pan together with the curry powder.
7. Add the pieces of carrot.
8. Continue to sauté for a further 5 min­utes, stirring constantly.
9. Add the vegetable stock and bring to a brief boil, then simmer on a low heat for approximately 30 minutes.
10. Immerse the blender 8 in the mixture, press and hold the On/Off switch “II” 4 and purée until fine.
11. Add the orange juice.
12. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
13. Garnish with chives.
Tomato soup
Ingredients:
2 onions 2-3 cloves of garlic olive oil 500 g tomatoes 500 ml vegetable stock 100 g crème fraîche
Preparation:
1. Peel and quarter the onions and garlic and sauté in a little olive oil.
2. Wash and quarter the tomatoes and add to the pan. Fry gently.
3. Add the vegetable stock.
4. Immerse the blender 8 in the soup, set the speed regulator 1 to medium speed, press and hold the On/Off switch “I” 3 and purée everything. If necessary, adjust the speed using the speed regulator 1.
5. Cook for approximately 10 minutes.
6. Add the crème fraîche and mix into the soup on a low speed (press and hold the On/Off switch “I” 3 and adjust the speed on the sliding scale using the speed regulator 1).
