This seat cushion is intended for warming the human body in domestic environments. This seat cushion is not intended for use in hospitals or for commercial
applications. In particular, it may not be used to warm infants, young children,
helpless persons or those insensitive to heat, and no animals. Any usage other
than that described above, or a modifi cation of the seat cushion, is not permitted
and may result in injury and/or damage to the seat cushion. The manufacturer
accepts no liability for damage caused by improper application or usage. The
user alone bears liability.

Risks from electrical current
DANGER
Risk of potentially fatal electrical current!
Contact with wires or components that are under voltage could
be potentially fatal!
Pay heed to the following safety instructions to avoid risks from electrical current:
► Do not use the appliance if the power adapter, the power cable or the plug
connector are damaged.
► Under no circumstances should you open the power adapter housing.
There is a risk of receiving an electric shock if voltage carrying connections
are touched or the electrical and/or mechanical construction is changed.
Interaction with the battery pack
WARNING
The risk of explosions and leakage exists!
For the safe handling of the battery pack pay heed to the following safety
instructions:
► Do not throw the battery pack into a fi re.
► Do not short circuit the battery pack.
► Regularly check the battery pack. Leaking battery acid can cause permanent
damage to the appliance. Special caution should be shown when handling
damaged or leaking batteries. Risk of acid burns! Wear protective gloves.
► Store the battery pack away from children.
► Remove the battery pack from the seat cushion if it will not be in use for some
considerable time.

Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety information:
■ Read the instructions!
Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of these operating
and safety instructions.
■ Before use check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not put into
operation an appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
■ To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be exchanged
by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service Department.
■ This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with
restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences in experience
and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used.
■ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
■ Do not operate the seat cushion unsupervised.
■ Repairs should be carried out only by authorised specialist companies or by the
Customer Service Department. Incompetent repairs can result in signifi cant risks
for the user. In addition, warranty claims become void.
■ Defective components may only be replaced with original replacement parts.
Only by using original replacement parts can it be guaranteed that the safety
requirements are being complied with.
■ Protect the seat cushion and the battery pack against moisture and the penetration
of liquids. Never submerse the appliance in water or place any objects fi lled with
liquid (e.g. vases) on the seat cushion.
■ Do not place any objects on the seat cushion.
■ Do not insert needles or other sharp pointed objects into the seat cushion.
■ Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of open fl ames (e.g. candles).
■ Avoid direct solar radiation.
■ Operate the appliance only with the supplied battery pack.
■ To charge the battery pack use only the supplied power adapter. The power
adapter is designed for indoor use and may not be exposed to moisture.
■ Disconnect the power adapter from the mains power socket by pulling on the
adapter, not on the cable.
■ In the event of malfunctions and during thunderstorms disconnect the power
adapter from the mains power socket.

Initial use

The appliance is delivered with the following components as standard:

NOTICE
Check the contents to ensure that everything is present and for signs of

visible damage.
► If the contents are not complete or are damaged due to defective packaging
or through transportation contact the Service Hotline (see Service).
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.
Before initial use
■ Remove all packaging materials and all transport securing appliances from the
appliance.

Charging the battery pack
The battery pack 5 is charged using the supplied power adapter.
For safe and faultless operation of the appliance after making the electrical
connection, pay heed to the following advice:
TAKE NOTE
Before connecting the appliance compare the connection data (voltage
►
and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your mains power supply.
This data must tally so as to avoid damage to the appliance.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is undamaged and is not running over
hot surfaces and/or sharp edges.
► Ensure that the mains power cable is not overtaut or kinked.
► Do not let the power cable hang over edges (trip wire eff ect).
► If you do not intend to use the seat cushion for a long period, disconnect
the battery pack 5 from the connector plug 3.
♦ Insert the plug of the power adapter 9 into a mains power socket.
♦ Ensure that the battery pack 5 is switched off (function indicator 8 is
not lit up).
♦ Connect the connector plug of the power adapter 10 with the connecting
socket of the battery pack 6. The function indicator of the battery pack 8
blinks red and the battery pack 5 is now being charged. When the function
indicator of the battery pack 8 glows green, the battery pack 5 is now
fully charged.

Handling and operation
In this chapter you receive important information for the handling and operation
of the appliance.
Switching the seat cushion on/off / Selecting the
temperature level
♦ Disconnect the connector plug of the power adapter 10 from the battery
pack 5.
♦ Connect the connector plug of the seat cushion 3 into the connection
socket 6 of the battery pack 5.
♦ Place the battery pack 5 into the storage compartment 2 of the seat cushion.
♦ Activate the function button 7 to switch the battery pack 5 on.
The battery pack 5 switches on with the temperature level I.
The function indicator of the battery pack 8 glows green.
♦ By repeated pressing of the function button 7 the desired temperature level
can be adjusted.
♦ To switch the seat cushion off , repeatedly press the function button 7 until
the function indicator

Cleaning
IMPORTANT
