Informationen zu dieser Bedienungsanleitung
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Kauf Ihres neuen Gerätes.
Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges Produkt entschieden. Die Bedie-
nungsanleitung ist Bestandteil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für
Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des
Produkts mit allen Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das
Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.

Verpackung oder durch Transport wenden Sie sich an die Service-Hotline

Auspacken
♦ Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem
Karton.
♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien
sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten
ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoffe und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
HINWEIS
► Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während der Garantiezeit
des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall ordnungsgemäß verpacken
zu können.

WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber
sowie von Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen
oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und
Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich
des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und
die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstehen.
► Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
► Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht von Kindern
ohne Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
► Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterie auf die richtige Polarität
und wenden Sie keine Gewalt an, wenn Sie die Batterien
einlegen.
► Stellen Sie nie mehr als 5 kg auf die Waage.
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Flüssigkeiten in die Waage
gelangen.
► Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Lösungsmitteln und mit ätzen-
den oder scheuernden Reinigungsmitteln.
► Stellen Sie die Waage nur auf ebenem und festem Unter-
grund auf.
► Setzen Sie die Waage nicht hohen Temperaturen oder Mag-
netfeldern aus.
► Vermeiden Sie elektrostatische Auf- bzw. Entladung. Ande-
renfalls kann es zu fehlerhaften Anzeigen bzw. plötzlichem
Ausschalten der Waage kommen.

HINWEISE ZUM UMGANG MIT BATTERIEN
Das Gerät verwendet eine Batterie. Für den Umgang mit
Batterien beachten Sie bitte Folgendes:
EXPLOSIONSGEFAHR!
► Werfen Sie keine Batterien ins Feuer. Laden Sie Batterien
nicht wieder auf.
► Öffnen Sie die Batterien niemals, löten oder schweißen Sie
nie an Batterien. Es besteht Explosions- und Verletzungsgefahr!
► Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die Batterien. Auslaufende Batte-
rien können Beschädigungen am Gerät verursachen.
► Wenn Sie ein Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzen, entnehmen
Sie die Batterien.
► Bei ausgelaufenen Batterien, ziehen Sie Schutzhandschuhe
an. Reinigen Sie das Batteriefach und die Batteriekontakte
mit einem trockenen Tuch.
► Batterien dürfen nicht in die Hände von Kindern gelangen.
Kinder könnten Batterien in den Mund nehmen und verschlucken. Sollte eine Batterie verschluckt worden sein, muss
sofort medizinische Hilfe in Anspruch genommen werden.

Vorbereitungen
Analoge Uhr
1) Ziehen Sie den Plastikstreifen aus dem Batteriefach „Uhr“ .
2) Drehen Sie solange an dem Rad zur Zeiteinstellung , bis die korrekte
Uhrzeit angezeigt wird.
HINWEISE ZUM BATTERIEWECHSEL
► Legen Sie immer nur eine Batterie Typ Knopfzelle, LR44 ein.
► Um das Batteriefach „Uhr“ zu öffnen, drehen Sie mit Hilfe einer dünnen
Münze den Batteriefachdeckel etwas gegen den Uhrzeigersinn. Der Pfeil
auf dem Batteriefachdeckel muss auf den Pfeil hinter OPEN neben dem
Batteriefach weisen.
► Nehmen Sie den Deckel ab und entfernen Sie die alte Batterie.
► Setzen Sie eine neue Batterie ein. Achten Sie dabei auf die korrekte Polarität:
der „+“ - Pol muss nach oben weisen.
► Legen Sie den Deckel auf das Batteriefach „Uhr“ , so dass der Pfeil auf
dem Deckel auf den Pfeil hinter OPEN neben dem Batteriefach „Uhr“
weist. Drehen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel im Uhrzeigersinn, so dass der Pfeil
auf dem Batteriefachdeckel auf den Pfeil vor dem Wort CLOSE weist.
Das Batteriefach „Uhr“ ist nun verschlossen.

Batterien der Waage einsetzen / wechseln
HINWEIS
Setzen Sie immer nur Batterien des Typs AAA, Micro, LR03 in das Batteriefach
„Waage“ ein!
1) Drehen Sie die Waage um und legen Sie sie auf eine weiche Unterlage, um
die Oberfläche nicht zu verkratzen.
2) Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach „Waage“ .
3) Falls eingesetzt, entfernen Sie die alten Batterien.
4) Setzen Sie die neuen Batterien ein. Beachten Sie die im Batteriefach „Waage“ angegebene Polarität!
5) Schließen Sie das Batteriefach „Waage“ .
HINWEIS
► Wenn die Batterien der Waage schwach sind, erscheint im Display
ein Batterie-Symbol. Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung des Displays wird
ausgeschaltet.
Dies zeigt Ihnen, dass Sie die Batterien wechseln müssen.
Gerät aufstellen
Stellen Sie die Waage auf eine ebene und rutschfeste Fläche.
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN
► Dieses Gerät ist mit rutschfesten Füßen ausgestattet.
Da die Möbeloberflächen aus den verschiedensten Materialien bestehen
und mit unterschiedlichsten Pflegemitteln behandelt werden, kann es nicht
völlig ausgeschlossen werden, dass manche dieser Stoffe Bestandteile enthalten, die die Füße angreifen und aufweichen. Legen Sie gegebenenfalls
eine rutschfeste Unterlage unter die Füße des Gerätes.

HINWEIS
► Sie können die Waage auch als Uhr an die Wand hängen. Nutzen Sie
dafür die Aufhängung auf der Rückseite der Waage.

Bedienen
Wiegegut abwiegen
1) Drücken Sie kurz auf die Waage. Das Gerät schaltet sich ein.
2) Legen Sie das abzuwiegende Gut auf die Waage.
Im Display wird das Gewicht und die eingestellte Maßeinheit angezeigt.
HINWEIS
► Wenn Sie die abzuwiegenden Lebensmittel in einer Schüssel abwiegen
wollen, stellen Sie zuerst die leere Schüssel auf die Waage, drücken Sie
die Taste TARE und füllen Sie dann das Wiegegut ein. So wird das
Gewicht der Schüssel nicht mitgewogen.
► Wenn im Display „0 - Ld“ erscheint, haben Sie das maximal erlaubte
Gewicht von 5 kg / 11 lb überschritten. Nehmen Sie etwas Gewicht von
der Waage herunter.
3) Wenn Sie die Maßeinheit wechseln möchten, drücken Sie so oft die Taste
UNIT , bis die gewünschte Maßeinheit im Display angezeigt wird. Sie
können wählen zwischen:
– Gramm (g)
– Kilogramm (kg)
– Pound:Unze (lb:oz)
4) Wenn Sie Wiegegut zuwiegen wollen, verfahren Sie, wie im Kapitel „Wiegegut zuwiegen (Tarierfunktion)“ beschrieben.
Wenn Sie keine weiteren Dinge abwiegen wollen, lesen Sie das Gewicht
ab und nehmen Sie das abzuwiegende Gut von der Waage. Das Gerät
schaltet sich nach ca. 60 Sekunden automatisch ab.
Wiegegut zuwiegen (Tarierfunktion)
Für das Zuwiegen weiterer Teilmengen können Sie die Waage auf „0“ stellen.
1) Drücken Sie dazu einmal auf die Taste TARE .
Die Waage zeigt wieder „0“ Gramm an.
2) Legen Sie die abzuwiegende Teilmenge auf die Waage.
Im Display wird das Gewicht des zugegebenen Wiegegutes angezeigt.
Diesen Schritt können Sie mehrmals wiederholen. Stellen Sie jedoch nie mehr als
5 kg auf die Waage.
Waage ausschalten
Wenn Sie...
– keine Taste drücken,
– kein Wiegegut auf die Waage legen,
– kein Wiegegut von der Waage herunter nehmen,...
... schaltet sich die Waage nach ca. 60 Sekunden automatisch aus.

Reinigen und Pflegen
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN
Beschädigung des Gerätes!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass bei der Reinigung keine Feuchtigkeit in das Gerät
eindringt, um eine irreparable Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden.
► Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung der Oberflächen weder scharfe Scheuer- oder
chemischen Reinigungsmittel, noch spitze oder kratzende Gegenstände.
■ Wischen Sie die Waagemit einem feuchten Tuch ab. Bei hartnäckigeren
Verschmutzungen geben Sie ein mildes Spülmittel auf das Tuch.
Lagerung/Entsorgung
Lagerung
Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem sauberen und trockenen Ort.
Bei längerer Nichtbenutzung, entfernen Sie die Batterien.
Gerät entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.
Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EUWEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in Verbindung.

Batterien dürfen nicht im Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Entfernen Sie die Batterien/Akkus daher immer aus den Geräten, bevor Sie diese
entsorgen. Jeder Verbraucher ist gesetzlich verpflichtet, Batterien/Akkus bei einer
Sammelstelle seiner Gemeinde / seines Stadtteils oder im Handel abzugeben.
Diese Verpflichtung dient dazu, dass Batterien einer umweltschonenden Entsorgung zugeführt werden können. Geben Sie Batterien/Akkus nur im entladenen
Zustand zurück.

Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Im Falle von
Mängeln dieses Produkts stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäufer des Produkts gesetzliche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch unsere im Folgenden
dargestellte Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.
Garantiebedingungen
Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bitte bewahren Sie den OriginalKassenbon gut auf. Diese Unterlage wird als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.
Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum dieses Produkts ein Materialoder Fabrikationsfehler auf, wird das Produkt von uns – nach unserer Wahl – für
Sie kostenlos repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Garantieleistung setzt voraus, dass
innerhalb der Drei-Jahres-Frist das defekte Gerät und der Kaufbeleg (Kassenbon)
vorgelegt und schriftlich kurz beschrieben wird, worin der Mangel besteht und
wann er aufgetreten ist.
Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist, erhalten Sie das reparierte
oder ein neues Produkt zurück. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des Produkts
beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.
Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche
Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch
für ersetzte und reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden
und Mängel müssen sofort nach dem Auspacken gemeldet werden. Nach Ablauf
der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpflichtig.
Garantieumfang
Das Gerät wurde nach strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien sorgfältig produziert und vor
Auslieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.
Die Garantieleistung gilt für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler. Diese Garantie
erstreckt sich nicht auf Produktteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind und
daher als Verschleißteile angesehen werden können oder für Beschädigungen
an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter, Akkus, Backformen oder Teile die aus
Glas gefertigt sind.
Diese Garantie verfällt, wenn das Produkt beschädigt, nicht sachgemäß benutzt
oder gewartet wurde. Für eine sachgemäße Benutzung des Produkts sind alle
in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Anweisungen genau einzuhalten.
Verwendungszwecke und Handlungen, von denen in der Bedienungsanleitung
abgeraten oder vor denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt ist nur für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch
bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung, Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von unserer autorisierten Service-Niederlassung
vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.

Abwicklung im Garantiefall
Um eine schnelle Bearbeitung ihres Anliegens zu gewährleisten, folgen Sie bitte
den folgenden Hinweisen:
■ Bitte halten Sie für alle Anfragen den Kassenbon und die Artikelnummer (z. B.
IAN 12345) als Nachweis für den Kauf bereit.
■ Die Artikelnummer entnehmen Sie bitte dem Typenschild, einer Gravur, auf
dem Titelblatt ihrer Anleitung (unten links) oder als Aufkleber auf der Rückoder Unterseite.
■ Sollten Funktionsfehler oder sonstige Mängel auftreten kontaktieren Sie zunächst
die nachfolgend benannte Serviceabteilung telefonisch oder per E-Mail.
■ Ein als defekt erfasstes Produkt können Sie dann unter Beifügung des Kauf-
belegs (Kassenbon) und der Angabe, worin der Mangel besteht und wann

Unpacking
♦ Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the box.
♦ Remove all packaging material.
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the device from damage during transport. The packaging
materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of
disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging into the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging materials that

INFORMATION ON USING BATTERIES
This appliance uses a battery. When handling batteries,
please observe the following:
RISK OF EXPLOSION!
► Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge batteries.
► Never open batteries and never solder or weld batteries.
There is a risk of explosion and injury!
► Check the condition of the batteries at regular intervals.
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the appliance.
► If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended
period, remove the batteries.
► If the batteries have leaked, use protective gloves. Clean the
battery compartment and the battery contacts with a dry
cloth.
► Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might
put batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a battery is
swallowed, medical assistance must be sought immediately.

1) Remove the plastic strip from the “Clock” battery compartment .
2) Turn the time adjustment wheel until the correct time is displayed.
NOTES ON CHANGING THE BATTERY
► Insert only one button-cell battery (type LR44).
► To open the "Clock" battery compartment , turn the cover of the battery
anticlockwise a little way using a thin coin. The arrow on the battery compartment cover must point to the arrow behind OPEN next to the battery
compartment.
► Remove the cover and take out the old battery.
► Insert a new battery. Pay attention to the correct polarity: the "+" pole must
be facing upwards.
► Place the cover on the "Clock" battery compartment so that the arrow
on the cover points to the arrow behind OPEN next to the "Clock" battery
compartment . Turn the battery compartment cover in a clockwise direc-
tion until the arrow on the battery compartment cover points towards the
arrow in front of the word CLOSE.
The "Clock" battery compartment is now closed.

Inserting/replacing the batteries in the scale
NOTE
Insert only new batteries (type AAA/micro/LR03) into the "Scale" battery
compartment .
1) Turn the scale over and place it on a soft surface so as to not to scratch the
surface.
2) Open the “Scale” battery compartment .
3) If present, remove the old batteries.
4) Insert the new batteries. Pay attention to the polarity indicated in the
“Clock” battery compartment .
5) Close the “Scale” battery compartment .
NOTE
► When the batteries in the scale are running low, a battery symbol will
appear on the display . The background lighting on the display
will be deactivated.
This shows that the batteries need to be changed.
Setting up the device
Place the kitchen scales on a level and slip-free surface.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE
► This appliance is equipped with non-slip rubber feet.
As furniture surfaces may be made of a variety of materials and are treated
with many different types of cleaning agents, it cannot be completely ruled
out that some substances contain ingredients which may perish the rubber
feet and soften them. If possible place an anti-slip mat under the feet of the
appliance.

► You can also hang the scales as a clock on the wall. To do this, use the
hanger on the rear of the scale.

Operation
Weighing items
1) Press the scales briefly. The appliance switches on.
2) Place the items to be weighed on the scale.
The weight and the selected unit of measurement are shown on the display .
NOTE
► If you want to weigh food in a bowl, first place the empty bowl on the
scale and then press the TARE button before filling the bowl with the
food. This subtracts the weight of the bowl from the overall weight.
► If “0 - Ld” appears on the display , you have exceeded the maximum
allowable weight of 5 kg / 11 lb. Remove a little weight from the scale.
3) If you want to change the unit of measurement, press the UNIT button
until the desired unit of measurement is shown on the display . You can
choose between the following:
– Grams (g)
– Kilograms (kg)
– Pounds:ounces (lb:oz)
4) If you want to add additional items, proceed as described in the section
“Weighing additional ingredients (tare function)”.
If you do not want to add any additional items, read the weight and remove
the food from the scale. The appliance switches off automatically after approximately 60 seconds.
Weighing additional ingredients (tare function)
You can set the scale back to “0” as often as required in order to weigh additional quantities.
1) To do this, press the TARE button once.
The scales indicate a weight of “0” again.
2) Place the additional ingredient on the scale.
The weight of the newly added item is shown on the display .
You can repeat this procedure several times. However, never place more than
5 kg on the scale.
Switching the scale off
If you ...
– do not press any button,
– do not place any item on the scale,
– or do not remove any item from the scale ...
... within 60 seconds, the scale will switch off automatically.

Damage to the device!
► To avoid irreparable damage to the device, ensure that no moisture can
penetrate the device during cleaning.
► When cleaning the surfaces, do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners, or
sharp or scratchy objects.
■ Wipe the scale with a damp cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent
on the cloth.
Storage/disposal
Storage
Store the appliance in a dry and dust-free location.
Remove the batteries before longer periods of inactivity.
Disposal of the device
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2012/19/EU-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please comply with all applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights
are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep
your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of
purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance
and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault
and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking.
Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as
switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions
that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against
must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.
