Set-up - Pairing your Headset

Pairing your Headset with your Bluetooth™Mobile Phone
Your Logitech®Mobile Bluetooth™ Headset must be “paired” to a Bluetooth phone before it will function. The following section describes how to pair your Logitech Mobile Bluetooth™ headset to a typical Bluetooth phone.
1. Charge your Mobile Bluetooth™ Headset using the charger/carrying case. Make sure the headset is fully charged before proceeding (see page 4 for instructions on charging your headset). Ensure the headset is turned off.
2. Press and hold down the Multi-function button for approximately 7 seconds until the headset indicator light flashes blue and red.
3. While the light is flashing blue and red, release the button. The indicator light will continue flashing for 120 seconds, indicating that the headset is in pairing mode and waiting to communicate with another Bluetooth device.
4. Follow the operating instructions for your Bluetooth phone to start the pairing process. Typically, this is done by going to a ‘setup’ or ‘connect’ menu and then selecting the options to ‘discover’ Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth may take several seconds to establish a connection.
5. Your phone’s display should indicate to you that it found the ‘Logitech HS01’ headset and ask if you want to pair it. You should confirm this.
6. The phone’s display should then prompt you for a passkey or PIN. Enter a sequence of:
0000.
7. The headset indicator light will flash blue every 3 seconds, indicating successful pairing. Usually the phone will also indicate if pairing was successful.
8. Your phone’s display may also ask whether you want to change the headset’s name. We recommend that you approve the ‘Logitech HS01’ name and not change it.
9. If pairing does not occur as expected, turn the headset and phone off and wait 10 seconds. Turn the headset and phone on again and repeat steps 2-8.

Using your Headset
Turning the headset on and off:
Pushing the multi-function button and holding for 3 seconds will turn the headset on or off. Two brief tones will sound to confirm this.
Standby:
When there is no active call, the headset is automatically in power-conserving standby mode. Your headset will automatically power up when your phone receives a call or if you place a call.
Answering/ending a call:
To answer or end (hang-up) a phone call, simply push the multi-function button. When pushing the button, do NOT hold the button; release it after pushing. Holding the button for 3 seconds will turn off your headset.
Adjusting headset volume:
To adjust the headset’s volume, simply push the “+” button to raise it, or the “ - ” to lower it. A tone will sound indicating the change in volume. When the headset is turned OFF, the current volume level is saved and stored.
Muting a call:
The headset can be muted by pushing either the “+” or “ - ” button for 4 seconds. To stop muting, push either the “+” or the “ - ” button. When your headset is muted, there will be an audible tone every 2 seconds.

Charging your Headset
Your carrying case doubles as a charger for your Logitech Mobile Bluetooth™ Headset. Charging your headset is simple:
1. Tu rn off the headset and place it into the charger.
2. Plug the power adapter into the charger.
3. Connect the power adapter to a nearby electrical outlet.
4. The charger LED light will be red when charging. If the LED is not lit, the connection is not sufficient. Reposition the headset until you see a red charger LED.
5. When the charger LED turns green, your headset is fully charged. NOTE: For a fully discharged battery, charging can take up to 4 hours.
Adjusting the mini-boom:
The mini-boom should be stored in its “closed” position with microphone element resting just above the multi-function button. To adjust, swivel the mini-boom gently and stop where the microphone element is as close to your mouth as possible.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORCE THE MINI-BOOM. IF YOU FEEL IT STOP, DO NOT FORCE IT. FORCING THE MINI-BOOM PAST THE HARD STOP IN EITHER DIRECTION WILL DAMAGE YOUR HEADSET.

The LED light will flash at different speeds and display different colors according to certain conditions.
