Your new

amplifier delivers the

quality features that performing and recording professionals demand. On stage, the

delivers solid bass with a 15-inch woofer and crisp, high-end response from a piezo horn. A switchable LIMITER circuit puts soft curbs to the amplifier’s 100-watt output by limiting distortion at peak volumes to smooth, harmonic tones. Plug your tuner into the back of the

and tune your bass guitar quickly and quietly between songs by pressing the MUTE switch.

The

provides a balanced XLR

LINE-OUT connection for a superior signal-to- noise ratio. Suitable for output to recording equipment, the XLR LINE-OUT comes equipped with EQUALIZATION ON/OFF switching, an output LEVEL control and a GROUND LIFT switch.

The

was designed to sound great

with its four tone controls pointing straight up, but why settle for great? An arsenal of tools enable total control of your sound:

Semi-parametric equalization of the mid-fre- quency range is controlled by two knobs; with the MID-FREQUENCY knob, select the frequency that the MID-LEVEL knob boosts or cuts. Use the COMPRESSOR control to squeeze the dynamic range of your signal for smoother tones and the ENHANCE switch to modify the mid-fre- quency contour for a fatter sound. Bass guitars with active pre-amps are accommodated with an

ACTIVE/PASSIVE INPUT switch. Plug in external effects devices to the EFFECTS LOOP jacks

on the Rear Panel of the

for unlim-

ited sonic options.

A.INPUT - Input jack for bass guitars.

B.INPUT PASSIVE/ACTIVE - Switch OUT for most bass guitars (PASSIVE). Switch IN for bass guitars with pre-amplifiers (ACTIVE).

C.GAIN - Adjusts the pre-amplifier signal level. NOTE: Use with MASTER VOLUME {N} to control the speaker volume level.

D.PRE-AMP CLIP LED - Indicates clipping (distortion) in the pre-amplifier. If undesirable distortion is heard when this LED illuminates, reduce GAIN {C} level.

E.PRE-AMP SIGNAL LED - Illuminates when a sufficient signal level is present for proper operation of the unit circuitry.

F.ENHANCE - Switch IN modifies the contour of the middle-frequency range (useful for slap-style and deep-toned bass playing). Switch OUT for ENHANCE {F} OFF (useful for finger-style bass playing).

G.BASS LEVEL - Adjusts the level (boost/cut) of the low-frequency range.

H.MID LEVEL - Adjusts the level (boost/cut) of the middle-frequency range that has been selected by the MID FREQ {I} control.

I.MID FREQ - Selects the middle-frequency range for the MID LEVEL {H} knob to adjust.

J.TREBLE LEVEL - Adjusts the level (boost/cut) of the high-frequency range.

K.COMPRESSOR - Condenses the dynamic range of the signal for a smoother sound. The COMPRESSOR is OFF when this knob is turned counter-clockwise to “0.”

L.MUTE - Switch IN disables all outputs (including speakers) except TUNER output. Switch OUT for normal unit operation.

M.MUTE LED - Flashes when MUTE {L} switch is IN.

N.MASTER VOLUME - Adjusts the power-amplifier signal level. NOTE: Use with GAIN {C} to control the speaker volume level.

O.PWR-AMP CLIP LED - Indicates clipping (distortion) in the power-amplifier. If undesirable distortion is heard when this LED illuminates, switch IN the LIMITER {P}, or reduce the MASTER VOLUME {N} level.

P.LIMITER - Switch IN prevents excessive clipping (distortion) in the power-amplifier.

Q.POWER LED - Illuminates when the POWER SWITCH {R} is ON and the unit is receiving power. NOTE: MUTE {L} switch must be OUT for normal unit operation.

R.POWER SWITCH - Push upper-half IN to switch unit ON. Push lower-half IN to switch unit OFF.

4

A.IEC LINE CORD CONNECTOR - The power line cord must be connected to a grounded AC receptacle in accordance with the voltage and frequency ratings as shown on the Rear Panel

of the

, INPUT POWER {B}.

C.GROUND LIFT - Switch IN disconnects ground connection from the LINE OUT {D} jack

(pin-1) which may reduce noise in the ground circuit. Switch OUT is usually the best setting.

D.LINE OUT - Balanced XLR jack for output to recording or sound-reinforcement equipment.

E.LINE OUT LEVEL - Adjusts the output level of LINE OUT {D} jack.

F. PRE/POST EQUALIZATION - Switch IN supplies the LINE OUT {D} jack with the post-equalization signal from the amplifier. Switch OUT

supplies the LINE OUT {D} jack with

the pre-equalization (dry) signal.

G. TUNER - Connect your bass guitar tuner here. This output jack is NOT disabled by Front Panel MUTE switch, allowing quiet tuning with the bass guitar plugged into the .

H.EFFECTS RETURN - Connect cable from external effects devices at this jack.

I.EFFECTS SEND - Connect cable to external effects devices at this jack.

• NOTE: For additional output, link two ’s together by connecting the EFFECTS SEND {I} from the “primary” amp to the EFFECTS RETURN {H} of the “secondary” amp. All settings on primary amp will control the secondary amp settings except MASTER VOLUME which must be set on each .
