Important Safety Instructions

This symbol warns the user of dangerous voltage levels localized within the enclosure.

This symbol advises the user to read all accompanying literature for safe operation of the unit.

∆Only connect the power supply cord to an earth grounded AC receptacle in accordance with the voltage and frequency ratings listed under INPUT POWER on the rear panel of this product.

Front Panel

A.INSTRUMENT INPUT— Plug your acoustic-elec- tric instrument in here. The instrument channel controls are all in the top row.

B.MICROPHONE INPUT— Balanced XLR jack for a low-impedance microphone. The mic channel controls are all in the bottom row. Phantom power supplied (+15VDC ).

C.PHASE— Reverses the phase of the instrument channel which will reduce feedback in some situations.

D.VOLUME—Adjusts the loudness of each channel.

E.TREBLE / MID / BASS—Adjusts the tone character of each channel.

F.NOTCH— Rotate slowly to locate and supress feedback that occurs at a particular frequency on the instrument channel. Rotate fully counter-clockwise when not needed.

G.STRING DYNAMICS—A dynamic tone shaping filter that varies with your playing intensity. Rotate clockwise to reduce treble-frequency harshness at peak levels (or high volume settings) without affecting the crisp brightness when playing more gently.

H.EFFECTS LEVEL—Adjusts the amount of the effects in each channel. To turn OFF effects: rotate fully counterclockwise or use the footswitch.

I.EFFECTS SELECT—Selects the active effect for each channel. See Effects Descriptions on page 8.

J.TUNER/MUTE— Press IN to disable all audio output from the amplifier; useful for silent tune-ups. LED flashes when selected.

K.PHONES—Plug your stereo headphones in here; speaker outputs are automatically disabled.

L.POWERINDICATOR— Illuminates when the unit is on.

Flashes if the unit detects an overload condition such as a faulty speaker cable, improper connection, overheating, or incorrect speaker impedance. The amplifier may be more susceptible to overload if high-output effects or other devices are used. The unit will automatically try to reset, but if an overload condition still exists after 5 attempts, the unit will remain in protection mode until powered OFF. Remove the overload condition then switch the power back ON; if this LED still flashes, take the unit to an authorized Fender® service center.

If the Power Indicator does not illuminate, check the fuse. If the fuse is good, leave the unit unplugged for 15 minutes to allow the power supply to reset. If that fails, take the unit to an authorized Fender® service center.

M.POWER—Switches the unit ON-OFF.

N.IEC POWER INPUT SOCKET—Connect to a grounded outlet in accordance with the correct Voltage Selector {P} setting for your location. When you travel outside your country, make sure you have a power cord compatible with each destination.

O.FUSE—Protects the amplifier from electrical faults. Only replace a blown fuse with the type and rating specified for the correct Voltage Selector {P} setting. Install the correct fuse when you change the Voltage Selector setting and before connecting the power cord. To replace the fuse, first remove the power cord, then use a screwdriver to pry the fuse holder out from the input socket.

P.VOLTAGE SELECTOR—Set according to the local power supply before connecting the power cord.

Q.STEREO/MONO MODE—Selects the mode of operation for your Acoustasonic Ultralight amplifier. Turn the unit OFF before switching modes and change speaker connections before turning the unit back ON.

R/S. RIGHT&LEFTSPEAKEROUTPUTS—Connect one of the

following speaker configurations:

•An Acoustasonic Ultralight Stereo Enclosure—set the mode switch {Q} to Stereo, then connect the speaker to the Right {R} output using the supplied 4-conductor Speakon® cable. NOTE: Do NOT use the Left{S} output with this setup to avoid overloading the unit.

•Right/Left channel speakers, each 4-ohms minimum— connect to Right {R} and Left {S} outputs using 2–conduc- tor cables, each with a Speakon® plug on one end and a plug matching the speaker input on the other end.

•Right/Left channel speakers, each 4-ohms minimum— connect BOTH speakers to the Right {R} output using a cable (adapter) that has a 4-conductor Speakon® plug on one end and two, 2-conductor plugs matching the speaker inputs on the other end. NOTE: Do NOT use the Left{S} output with this setup to avoid overloading the unit.

CAUTION: Speaker outputs have 20 volts present on BOTH conductors and the amplifier will shut down if either one comes into contact with a grounded surface.

Any exposed metal on plug jackets must not touch ground when speaker cables are connected; use insulated (plastic) plug jackets whenever possible.

T.LINE OUTPUT—Balanced XLR output for connection to sound equipment.

•Ground Lift: Press IN to disconnect the ground connection (pin 1) which may reduce noise caused by nonstandard wiring. Normally leave Ground Lift OUT.

•Line Out Level: Adjusts signal strength to accommodate the input sensitivity of external equipment.

U.FOOTSWITCH—Plug the included footswitch to enable remote effects on-off switching for each channel, as indicated by the footswitch LEDs. Connect the footswitch using an unshielded speaker cable rather than an instrument cable whenever possible.

V.TUNER OUT—Connect your tuner here. Press Tuner/ Mute {J} on the front panel for silent tuning.

A.ENTRADA DE INSTRUMENTO — Conecte aquí su instrumento electro acústico. Los controles del canal de instrumento son los de la fila superior.

B.ENTRADA DE MICROFONO — Conector XLR balanceada para un micro de baja impedancia. Los controles del canal de micro son los de la fila inferior. Dispone de alimentación fantasma (+15VDC ).

C.PHASE—Invierte la fase del canal de instrumento, lo que reducirá la realimentación en algunos casos.

D.VOLUME—Ajusta el volumen de cada canal.

E.TREBLE / MID / BASS—Ajusta el carácter tonal de cada canal.

F.NOTCH—Gírelo lentamente para localizar y suprimir la realimentación que se produzca en una frecuencia concreta en el canal de instrumento. Gírelo totalmente a la izquierda cuando no lo necesite.

G.STRING DYNAMICS—Un filtro de modelado dinámico de tono que varía de acuerdo a la intensidad de su interpretación. Gírelo a la derecha para reducir la aspereza de los agudos en los niveles de pico (o ajustes de alto volumen) sin que ello afecte al brillo cuando toque más suave.

H.EFFECTS LEVEL—Ajusta la cantidad de los efectos en cada canal. Para desactivar los efectos: gire este mando totalmente a la izquierda o use el pedal.

I.EFFECTS SELECT—Elige el efecto activo para cada canal. Vea la descripción de los efectos en la página 11.

J.TUNER/MUTE— Púlseloparadesactivartodasalidaaudio del amplificador; útil para afinar sin ser oído. El LED parpadeará cuando lo active.

K.PHONES—Conecte aquí sus auriculares stereo; la salida de altavoces quedará desactivada automáticamente.

L.INDICADORPOWER— Se enciende cuando la unidad está activada.

Parpadea si la unidad detecta una condición de sobrecarga como un cable de altavoz dañado, conexión incorrecta, recalentamiento o impedancia de altavoz incorrecta. La unidad tratará de reiniciarse de forma automática, pero si la condición persiste tras 5 intentos, la unidad quedará en el modo de protección hasta que la apague. Elimine el problema y vuelva a encender la unidad; Si el LED sigue parpadeando, lleve la unidad a un servicio técnico Fender®.

Si el piloto no se enciende, compruebe el fusible. Si está bien, deje la unidad apagada durante 15 minutos para que la fuente de alimentación se reinicie. Si sigue fallando, lleve la unidad a un servicio técnico Fender®. Otros dispositivos exteriores de alto nivel de salida como unidades de efectos pueden sobrecargar el amplificador.
