Intended Use
The pirk deep- sea fishing rod is intended for medium weight pirk fishing from a boat in the sea. It has a casting weight of 100-200 g and is particularly suitable for catching cod, pollack, whiting and other types of fish which live on or near the sea-bed. The reel is fitted with a monofil fishing line with 0.40 m diameter and a maximum capacity of 11 kg. However, in practice considerably heavier fish have often been caught. The pirker (which is included in the fishing set) sinks to the sea-bed and is then moved by raising and lowering the fishing rod to emulate the quarry for preying fish. Always ensure that the lure stays in contact with the sea-bed, as most fish are to be found here when searching for food.

Safety
• DANGER!
Danger! Do not fish anywhere near high-voltage power lines. Watch out for any overhead wires
when fishing and avoid all contact; a life-threatening electric shock may otherwise occur. Danger in thunderstorms! Do not fish in stormy conditions. If the rod or fishing line are struck by lightning, this can lead to serious injuries and, under certain circumstances, to death. There may also be a danger to life through a direct electric shock.

• RISK OF INJURY!
Risk of injury and accidents! Test the fishing rod for damage each time before use. Never use a
damaged fishing rod; if you do, it may not function properly and may, as a result, not be safe. Risk of injury and accidents! This product contains sharp hooks which can cause considerable injury to the user or other persons. Therefore use the fishing rod with due caution.
• Pay due regard to other anglers (and any other people) and keep a safe distance. Some risk of injury exists from the hook snapping back/sideways in an unpredictable direction when casting the line if this is not done properly.
• To prevent hook injuries, wear the appropriate glasses and protective headgear.
• Do not carry out repairs yourself. Consult the service department.
• Keep the fishing rod out of reach of children.
• Only allow children to use the fishing rod under the instruction and supervision of an adult.

How To Assemble The Rod
1. Put segments (9) and (10) of the fishing rod together. The rings must be in alignment.
2. Insert the reel (4) in the reel supports (2). Fasten them by turning the fixing screw (1) clockwise.
3. In order to put the winder (6) in the desired position loosen the screw opposite (5) by turning it anti-clockwise and when the winder is in the positioned appropriately, tighten the screw again.
4. Release the line reel brake (7) by turning it anti-clockwise. Pull the fishing line (14) out of the reel (4) and feed it under the line guard (3) through all the rings on the rod. Tighten the line reel brake (7) again by turning it clockwise.
5. Attach the pirker (12) to the rotator (13) on the fishing line. To increase the chance of a catch, connect the rig system.
Casting the rod
• Activate the rewind stop (8) and tilt the line guard (3) forwards so that the fishing line (14) can unwind freely.
• Cast the rod. Turn the winder (6) a little – the line guard (3) automatically clicks into position.
