NOTE: A NOTE indicates import ant information that helps y ou make better use of your computer sy stem.
CAUTION: A CAUTIO N indicates e ither potenti al da mage to hardw are or lo ss of da ta a nd tells you how to avoid the
problem.
WARNING: A WARNING indicates the potential for bodily harm and tells y ou how to avoid the problem. Some
warnings may appear in al ternate formats and may be una ccompanied by an icon. In such cases, the specific
presentation of the warning is mandated by regulatory authority .

Powe r The monitor should be op erated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If y ou are not sure
of the type of power sup plied to your home, consult your dea ler or local power company .
The monitor is equippe d w ith a three- pronged grounded plug, a p lug with a third (grounding) pin. T his plu g will
fit only into a grounded power outlet as a safety feature. If y our outlet does not accommodate t he three- wire plug,
have an electrician in stall the correct outlet, or u se an adapter to ground the appliance safely. D o not defeat the
safety pu rpose of the grounded plug.
Unplug the unit during a light ning stor m or w hen it will not be used for long periods of time. T his will protec t th e
monitor from damage due t o power surges.
Do not overload power str ips and extension cords. Ov erloading can result in fire or elect ric shock.
The wall socket shall b e installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.

Installation Do not place the mo nitor on an unstable car t, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. If the monit or falls, it can injure a
person and cause ser iou s d am age t o t his product. Use only a cart , s t an d, t r ipod , br acket, or table recommended b y
the manufacturer or so ld with this product. Follow the manuf acturer’s instructions when inst alling the product and
use mounting accessorie s recommended by the manufactur er. A product and cart combination should be moved
with care.
Never push any object in to the slot on the monitor cabinet . It could damage circuit part s causing a fire or
electric shock. Never spill liquids on the monitor .
Do not place the front of the product on the floor .
If you mount the moni tor o n a wall or shelf, use a mount ing kit approved by the manufa cture r and follow the kit
instructions.
Leave some space arou nd the monitor as shown below . Otherwise, air- circulat ion may be inadequate hence
overheating may cause a f ire or damage to the monitor .
See below the recommended ventilation areas around the monitor when the monitor is installe d on the wall or with

Cleaning Clean the cabinet regu larly with cloth. You can use s oft- detergent to wi pe out the stain, instead of
strong-detergent which will cauterize the pr oduct cabinet.
When cleaning, make sure no detergent is leaked int o the product. The cleaning cloth sh ould not be t oo rough
as it will scratch the s creen surface.
Please disconnect the power cord before cleaning the produ ct.

Other If the product is emitting a strange smell, sound or smoke, disconnect the pow er plug IMMEDIA TELY and
contact a Service Cent er.
Make sure that the vent ilating openings are not blocked by a table or curtain.
Do not engage the LCD monitor in severe vibration or high i mpact conditions during opera tion.
Do not knock or drop the monitor during operation or tr ansportation.
For display with glossy bezel the user s hould consider the placement of the d isplay as the bezel may cause
disturbing reflections fr om surrounding light and bright surfaces.

Setup Base Please setup or remove th e base following the steps as b elow.

Wall Mounting Preparing to inst all an optional wall mount arm.
This monitor can be att ached to a wall mounting arm yo u purchase separately . Disconnect power before this
procedure. Follow thes e steps:
1. Re move the base.
2. Follow the manufacturer' s instructions to assemble the w all mounting arm.
3. Place the wall mounting ar m onto the back of the monitor . Line up the holes of th e arm with the holes in the
back of the monitor .
4. Insert the 4 screws int o the holes and tighten.
5. Reconnect the cables. Ref er to the user's manual that cam e with the optional wall mounting arm f or
instructions on atta ching it to the wall.
Noted: VESA mounting screw holes are not avail able for all models, please check w ith the dealer or official
department of AOC.

Adjusting Viewing Angle For optimal viewing, it i s recommended to look at the full fa ce of the monitor, and then adjust the monitor's angl e to
your own preference.
Hold the stand so yo u will not topple the monitor w hen you change the monitor's angle.
Y ou are able to adjust the monitor' s angle from -5° to 22 °.
NOTE:
Do not adjust the view ing angle over 22 degrees in order to avoid damage.

Using "MHL(Mobile High-Definit ion Link)" 1."MHL" (Mobile High-Definition Lin k)
This feature allows you t o enjoy videos and photos (import ed from a connected mobile device that supports MHL)
on the screenof the pr oduct.
T o use the MHL function, you need an MHL- certified mobile device. Y ou can check if your mobile dev ice is
MHL certified o n the device manufacturer's w ebsite. T o find a list of MHL-certified devic es, visit the official
MHL website ( http://www.mhlconsor tium.org).
T o use the MHL function, the latest version of soft ware must be installed on the mob ile device.
On some mobile devices, t he MHL function may not be available depending on the devi ce's performance or
functionality .
Since the display size of the product is larger than thos e of mobile devices, the picture qua lity may degrade.
This product is officially MH L -certified. If you encounter any problem w hen using the MHL function, p lease
contact the manufa cturer of the mobile device.
The picture quality may degrade when content (imported fr om the mobile device) with a low Resolution is
played on the product.
Using "MHL"
1. Connect the micro USB port on the mobile device to the [H DMI / MHL] port on the product using the M HL cable.
When the MHL cable is us ed, [HDMI / MHL] is the only port on thi s monitor that supports the M HL function.
Mobile device must be pu rchased separately .
2. Connect the AC power cord to the produ ct and a power outl et.
3. Press the source button
and switch to HDMI /MH L to activate MHL mode.
4. After about 3 seconds, th e MHL screen will be disp layed if MHL mode is active.
Remark: The indicat ed time "3 sec later" may vary depe nding on the mobile device.
When the mobile device is n ot connected or does not support MHL
If MHL mode is not act ivated e ven though the mo bile dev ice supp orts M H L, check if mobil e dev ice M HL port is
MHL standar d port otherwise an additional M HL- enabled adapter is required.

T o protect equipment, alway s turn off the PC and LCD monit or before connecting.
1 Connect the power cable to the AC port on the b ack of the monitor .
2 Connect one end of the 15-pin D - Sub cable to the back of the monitor and co nnect the other end to the
computer's D- Sub port.
3 Optional – (Requires a video card with DVI port) – Conn ect o ne en d of the DVI cable to the bac k of the monitor
and connect the other end to the computer’s DVI port.
4 Optional – (Requires a video card with HDMI port) – Connect one end of th e HDMI cable to the back of the
monitor and connect the other end to the computer’s HDMI port.
5 Optional – (Requires a video card with DP port) – Connect one end of t he DP cable to the back of the monitor
and connect the other end to the computer’s DP port .
6 Turn on your m onitor and computer.
