Introduction
H3 Control is an app that enables wireless control of the ZOOM . By installing H3
Control, you can use an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (6th generation or later) as a remote
control for an .(A ZOOM BTA-1 or other dedicated wireless adapter is also necessary to operate an with H3 Control.)
In addition to the fundamental operations of starting/stopping recording/playback and
searching forward/backward, you can use this app to add marks and make various settings. You can also use it to check input levels and the remaining battery charge as well as
to monitor the remaining recording time.
Moreover, with this app, you can directly input characters from the iOS device to change le
names and to add notes and data used when recording, including the date and time.
This manual does not explain operation of the itself. See the Operation
Manual for detailed information about all its functions.
Features
Verify important settings with a glance
■
With a quick look you can check important recording and playback settings, including the
level of each track, the recording mode and format and whether the limiter and low-cut lter are on or off.
You can also monitor the remaining battery charge and remaining recording time.
Rename les and add notes (metadata)
■
Using the iOS device keyboard, you can input le names and notes. You can also input long
phrases without stress.
Set the time
■
Use the iOS device time information to quickly set the time on the . This allows you
to set the time accurately with ease.

Installing H3 Control
Open the App Store on the iOS device and search for "H3 Control".

Tap "GET" on the H3 Control screen.

This will install H3 Control on the device.
NOTE
· The rst time that you launch H3 Control, you must pair it with the that it will operate.

H3 Control will launch, and a password input screen will appear on the iOS device display.
Input the 6-digit password that appears on the display and tap “Pair”.

When pairing completes, “Connected” will appear on the display.
HINT
· If pairing is not successful, move the device closer to the or move both to a place where
nothing interferes with radio waves and start H3 Control again. Conrm also that the Bluetooth function of the iOS device can be used.
· Entering a password will not be necessary when launching the app again in the future.

NOTE
· Only one iOS device can be paired with the at a time. Pairing a different iOS device will make
it no longer possible to connect with the previously paired iOS device. Trying to connect the previous
iOS device will cause an error message to appear on the display and turn the BTA-1 off.
· To reconnect a previously paired iOS device, follow the instructions in the operation manual for the
iOS device that you are using to remove the that is registered as a Bluetooth device. Then,
after you launch H3 Control, the password input screen will appear, making pairing possible.

Setting the mic position
Set the mic position used for recording.

Adjusting the input level (Mic Gain)
The input level (mic gain) used during recording can be adjusted.
