Quick Start Washer Guide

INSTALLING YOUR WASHER
1. Remove shipping material for proper operation and to
avoid excessive noise from washer.
2. Connect drain hoses
Top of standpipe must be at least 990 mm (39") high; install no higher than 1.22 m (48") from bottom of washer.
IMPORTANT: 114 mm (4.5") of drain hose should be inside
standpipe; do not force excess hose into standpipe or lay on bottom of laundry tub. Drain hose form must be used.
USING YOUR WASHER
1. Sort and prepare your laundry
Sort garments by recommended cycle, water temperature,
Turn knits inside out to avoid pilling. Separate lint-takers
from lint-givers. Synthetics, knits and corduroy fabrics will pick up lint from towels or woolen sweaters.
NOTE: Always read and follow fabric label instructions
to avoid damage to your garments.
2. Add detergent and fabric softener: Without Dispenser
Add detergent to the bottom of the washer basket before
adding clothes. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the agitator.
With Dispenser
Pour detergent and liquid fabric softener into dispenser.
NOTE: Do not pour detergent or fabric softener onto
clothes. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to determine the amount to use. Do not use more than the recommended amount of detergent or fabric softener.
3. Connect both water inlet hoses
If you have only one faucet, connect both hoses through a “Y” adapter.
4. Level washer with oor to reduces excess noise
and vibration.
5. Plug washer into a 3 prong, grounding-type outlet.
Do not use an extension cord or adapter.
3. Use of fabric softener
Dilute liquid fabric softener with warm water according to
recommendations on package. Use dispenser or agitator opening (depending on model).
NOTE: Fabric Softener option must be selected when using
fabric softener or put in during the nal rinse of the cycle. Do not pour fabric softener onto clothes.
4. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the agitator.
IMPORTANT: Do not tightly pack or force items into washer.
Items need to move freely for best cleaning and to reduce wrinkling and tangling.
5. Select cycle and options
Turn cycle knob to choose your wash cycle. When knob is lined up with a cycle, you will hear a clicking sound. Once you select a cycle, the default settings for that cycle will light up. Select any other cycle settings and options, if desired.
NOTE: Not all options are available with all cycles.
6. Select Start to begin a wash cycle.
TROUBLESHOOTING

Remove several items, rearrange load evenly in basket, add detergent. Close lid, press START. See Use and Care Guide for loading recommendations.
Do not add more than 1 or 2 additional items after cycle has started to avoid tightly packing.
Disconnect and reconnect washer. If washer turns on automatically, press and hold START button until washer turns off. Then start washer again.
Add an Extra Rinse to the selected cycle. See Use and Care Guide for loading recommendations. The washer is less efcient at rinsing when load is tightly packed.
