Indicazioni relative alla sicurezza
PERICOLO DI FOLGORAZIONE!
► Assicurarsi che la base con i collegamenti elettrici non venga mai
a contatto con l'acqua! Se la base si bagnasse accidentalmente,
farla asciugare completamente prima di rimetterla in funzione.
► Utilizzare il bollitore solo con la base acclusa.
► Impedire che il cavo di rete si bagni o si inumidisca durante l'uso
dell'apparecchio. Disporlo in modo tale che non venga schiacciato
o possa venire danneggiato in altro modo.
► Al fi ne di evitare pericoli, fare sostituire immediatamente spine o
cavi danneggiati da personale specializzato autorizzato o dal
centro di assistenza clienti.
► Dopo l'uso estrarre sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente. Non
è suffi ciente spegnere l'apparecchio, poiché esso è ancora sotto
tensione fi ntanto che la spina è inserita nella presa.
► Controllare l'apparecchio prima dell'uso per rilevare eventuali
danni visibili. Non mettere in funzione un apparecchio danneggiato o caduto.
► Fare eseguire le riparazioni solo da aziende specializzate o
dall'assistenza ai clienti. Le riparazioni eff ettuate in modo inadeguato possono causare gravi pericoli per l'utente. Inoltre la
garanzia decade.
Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua o altri liquidi! Può
sussistere pericolo di morte a causa di folgorazione in caso di
contatto di liquidi con parti sotto tensione dell'apparecchio in
funzione.

AVVERTENZA - PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Riscaldare l'acqua sempre e solo con il coperchio chiuso, altri-
menti il meccanismo di spegnimento automatico non funzionerà.
L'acqua in fase di ebollizione potrebbe fuoriuscire dai bordi.
► Possono verifi carsi perdite di vapore bollente. Inoltre, il recipiente
si surriscalda durante l'uso. Si consiglia quindi di utilizzare presine
idonee.
► Assicurarsi che l'apparecchio sia posizionato stabilmente e in verti-
cale prima di accenderlo. L'acqua in fase di ebollizione potrebbe
far cadere un apparecchio posizionato in modo instabile.
► Non aprire il coperchio mentre l'acqua bolle.
► Gli apparecchi possono essere utilizzati da persone con capacità
fi siche, sensoriali o mentali ridotte o insuffi ciente esperienza o
conoscenza solo se sorvegliate o istruite sull'uso sicuro degli
apparecchi e qualora ne abbiano compreso i risultanti pericoli.
► Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato dai bambini di almeno
8 anni di età solo se sorvegliati o istruiti sull'uso sicuro dell'apparecchio e qualora ne abbiano compreso i pericoli associati. La
pulizia e la manutenzione a cura dell'utente non devono essere
eseguite da bambini, a meno che non abbiano almeno 8 anni
di età e siano sorvegliati. Tenere lontani dall'apparecchio e dal
cavo di allacciamento i bambini di età inferiore agli 8 anni.

ATTENZIONE - DANNI MATERIALI!
► Non utilizzare timer esterni o un sistema di telecomando separato
per azionare l'apparecchio.
► Non lasciare mai l'apparecchio incustodito durante l'uso.
► Assicurarsi che l'apparecchio, il cavo di rete o la spina non
vengano mai a contatto con sorgenti di calore come piastre di
cottura o fi amme libere.
Preparativi
Disimballaggio
♦ Rimuovere dal cartone tutte le parti dell'apparecchio e il manuale
di istruzioni.
♦ Rimuovere completamente il materiale di imballaggio.
Smaltimento della confezione
L'imballaggio protegge l'apparecchio dai danni da trasporto. I materiali di
imballaggio sono stati selezionati in relazione alla loro ecocompatibilità e
alle caratteristiche di smaltimento e pertanto sono riciclabili.
Il riciclo dell'imballaggio consente di risparmiare materie prime e riduce la
generazione di rifi uti. Smaltire il materiale di imballaggio inutilizzato in
conformità alle norme vigenti localmente.

Messa in funzione

► Utilizzare sempre e solo acqua fresca nel bollitore! Non consumare acqua

– l'apparecchio, la spina e il cavo di rete siano in perfette condizioni e ...
– tutto il materiale d'imballaggio sia stato rimosso dall'apparecchio.

Aprire il coperchio 1 premendo il tasto di sbloccaggio 2.
2) Riempire l'apparecchio con acqua fi no al segno MAX e farla bollire una
volta completamente, come descritto al capitolo seguente.
3) Gettare via quest'acqua dopo la bollitura.
4) Lavare il bricco con acqua corrente.
5) Riempire l'apparecchio con acqua fi no al livello MAX sulla scala graduata
e portare a ebollizione. Gettare via anche quest'acqua.
6) Lavare il bricco con acqua corrente.
L'apparecchio è pronto per l'uso.

Bollitura dell'acqua
PERICOLO DI FOLGORAZIONE!
► Non collocare mai la base 5 nelle vicinanz

► Utilizzare sempre acqua potabile pulita. Non consumare l'acqua che si
ova già da oltre un'ora nel bollitore. Non bollire nuovamente l'acqua

già bollita e raff reddata. Gettare sempre via l'acqua vecchia. Potrebbe
verifi carsi la formazione di germi!
AVVISO
► Controllare sempre che l'interruttore ON/OFF 3 si tr

In caso contrario, l'apparecchio comincia a riscaldarsi non appena si
inserisce la spina di rete nella presa di corrente.

bollitura (zona rossa del regolatore di temperatura 6) alla posizione MAX.

AVVERTENZE RELATIVE AGLI INTERVALLI DI TEMPERATURA
Regolatore di temperatura nella zona di bollitura:
– L'apparecchio si spegne da solo e la spia di controllo 4 si spegne
non appena l'acqua bolle. L'interruttore ON/OFF 3 scatta verso
l'alto.

Regolatore di temperatura in zona mantenimento:
– Per mantenere l'acqua calda dopo la bollitura, portare il regolatore di
temperatura 6 nella zona mantenimento (zona nera del regolatore
di temperatura 6) e spingere l'interruttore ON/OFF 3 verso il basso
fi no a quando non scatta in posizione e la spia di funzionamento 4
non si accende.
La funzione di mantenimento può venire utilizzata per esempio per
mantenere l'acqua calda in modo da averla a disposizione per preparare del tè, anche per diverse volte consecutive.
Nella zona di mantenimento l'acqua non inizia a bollire!
– Una volta raggiunto il livello di calore desiderato per il mantenimento,

■ Pulire tutte le superfi ci esterne e il cavo di rete con un panno leggermente
inumidito. Asciugare bene l'apparecchio comunque, prima di riutilizzarlo. In
caso di sporco resistente, versare un po' di detergente delicato sul panno.
Assicurarsi che non si trovino residui di detergente sull'apparecchio e al suo
interno prima di riutilizzarlo.
In presenza di residui di calcare
I depositi di calcare nell'apparecchio provocano sprechi di energia e compromettono la durata di vita dell'apparecchio.
Decalcifi care l'apparecchio non appena si notano i primi depositi di calcare.

tenendolo sotto l'acqua corrente.
4) Dopo la pulizia reinserire l'inserto del fi ltro anticalcare 8. Badare che l'arresto
scatti in posizione e che l'inserto del fi ltro anticalcare 8 sia in posizione
stabile.

► Se nell'inserto del fi ltro anticalcare 8 fosser
care, immergerlo per qualche ora in una soluzione di acqua e aceto in un
rapporto di 6:1. Le incrostazioni di calcare si dissolveranno. Risciacquare
l'inserto del fi ltro anticalcare 8 con abbondante acqua pulita.
Conservazione
■ Fare raff reddare completamente l'apparecchio prima di riporlo.
■ Avvolgere il cavo di rete intorno all'apposito dispositivo situato sotto la

PERIGO - CHOQUE ELÉTRICO!
► Certifi que-se de que a base com as ligações elétricas nunca entra
em contacto com água! Deixe a base secar totalmente, caso
tenha fi cado húmida acidentalmente.
► Utilize o jarro elétrico apenas com a base fornecida.
► Certifi que-se de que, durante o funcionamento, o cabo de ali-
mentação nunca fi ca molhado ou húmido. Disponha o cabo de
modo a que não fi que entalado ou danifi cado.
► Cabos ou fi chas de alimentação elétrica danifi cados devem
ser imediatamente substituídos por técnicos autorizados ou pelo
serviço de apoio ao cliente, de modo a evitar situações de perigo.
► Após a utilização, retire sempre a fi cha da tomada. Não é sufi -
ciente desligar o aparelho, uma vez que ainda existe tensão de
alimentação no aparelho enquanto a fi cha se encontra encaixada
na tomada.
► Antes da utilização, verifi que a existência de eventuais danos
exteriores visíveis no aparelho. Não tente colocar em funcionamento um aparelho avariado ou que tenha sofrido uma queda.
► Solicite a reparação do aparelho apenas a empresas autoriza-
das ou ao Serviço de Assistência Técnica. Reparações indevidas

ATENÇÃO - PERIGO DE FERIMENTOS!
► Aqueça a água sempre com a tampa fechada, caso contrário
o dispositivo de desativação automática não funciona. A água
a ferver pode transbordar.
► Pode ser libertado vapor muito quente. Além disso, o jarro fi ca
muito quente durante o funcionamento. Por esta razão, utilize
luvas de cozinha.
► Antes de ligar o aparelho, certifi que-se de que este se encontra
numa posição estável e na vertical. Se o aparelho não assentar
corretamente, a água a ferver pode fazê-lo cair.
► Não abra a tampa enquanto a água estiver a ferver.
► Os aparelhos podem ser utilizados por pessoas com capacidades
físicas, sensoriais ou mentais reduzidas, bem como com falta de
experiência e/ou conhecimento, caso sejam vigiadas ou instruídas
sobre a utilização segura do aparelho e tenham compreendido
os perigos daí resultantes.
► Este aparelho pode ser utilizado por crianças com idades superio-

► Não utilize um temporizador externo ou um sistema de controlo
remoto em separado para operar o aparelho.
► Nunca deixe o aparelho sem vigilância durante o funcionamento.
► Certifi que-se de que o aparelho, o cabo ou a fi cha de alimenta-
ção não entram em contacto com fontes de calor, como placas
de fogão ou chamas abertas.

Eliminação da embalagem
A embalagem protege o aparelho contra danos durante o transporte. Os materiais
da embalagem são selecionados tendo em conta os aspetos ambientais e técnicos
relativamente à eliminação, sendo, por isso, recicláveis.
A reciclagem da embalagem permite a poupança de matérias-primas e reduz a
formação de lixo. Elimine os materiais da embalagem que já não são necessários
de acordo com os regulamentos locais em vigor.

Colocação em funcionamento

Abra a tampa 1, premindo o botão de desbloqueio 2.

2) Encha o aparelho com água até à marcação MAX e deixe ferver totalmente,
tal como descrito no próximo capítulo.
3) Depois de fervida, despeje esta água.
4) Lave o jarro com água limpa.
5) Encha o aparelho novamente com água até à marcação MAX e deixe-a
ferver. Despeje também esta água.
6) Lave o jarro com água limpa.

assim que a fi cha de alimentação é ligada à corrente elétrica.
1) Retire o jarro para o encher!
2) Abra a tampa 1, premindo o botão de desbloqueio 2.

► Mantenha o jarro na vertical ao encher. Só assim pode ler a escala 7

6) Insira a fi cha na tomada.
7) Pressione o interruptor LIGAR/DESLIGAR 3 para baixo, de modo que encaixe.

– O aparelho desliga-se automaticamente e a luz de funcionamento 4

Regulador da temperatura na zona de manter quente:
– Para manter a água quente após a fervura, coloque o regulador de
temperatura 6 na zona de manter quente (zona marcada a preto
no regulador de temperatura 6) e pressione o interruptor LIGAR/
DESLIGAR 3 para baixo até que encaixe e a luz de funcionamento 4 se acenda.
Pode utilizar a função de manter quente para, por exemplo, ter disponível água quente para a preparação de chá fresco, mesmo várias
vezes sucessivas.

– Depois de atingir o nível de manter quente ajustado, o aparelho desliga

Tenha em atenção que o aparelho não desliga automaticamente
na função de manter quente. Por isso, nunca deixe o aparelho
sem supervisão!
– Logo que o jarro seja retirado da base 5, o interruptor LIG
DESLIGAR 3 salta e a luz de funcionamento 4 apaga-se.
– Para interromper o aquecimento, desloque o interruptor LIGAR/
AR 3 novamente para cima. A luz de funcionamento 4

Não coloque o regulador de temperatura 6 na zona de
transição entre a "zona de manter quente" (preto) e a "zona
de fervura" (vermelho), uma vez que a água pode começar
a ferver devido aos diversos níveis de enchimento.

► Este aparelho encontra-se equipado com uma proteção contra sobreaqueci-
ento: se o aparelho for ligado involuntariamente, sem que se encontre

água no jarro, o aparelho desliga-se automaticamente.
Se, por exemplo, devido a uma tampa não fechada 1, o aparelho trabalhar a seco, o mesmo desliga-se automaticamente. Neste caso, deixe o
aparelho arrefecer antes de o utilizar novamente.

mente humedecido. Seque sempre muito bem o aparelho antes de o utilizar
novamente. Em caso de sujidade profunda, aplique um detergente suave no
pano. Certifi que-se de que não se encontram quaisquer resíduos de detergente
no aparelho, antes de o colocar em funcionamento.
Em caso de resíduos de calcário
As acumulações de calcário no aparelho levam a perdas de energia e condicionam
a durabilidade do aparelho.
Descalcifi que o aparelho, logo que seja perceptível uma acumulação de calcário.
■ Antes da descalcifi cação, retire o elemento fi ltrante de calcário 8 (v
capítulo "Retirar / colocar o elemento fi ltrante de calcário").
■ Utilize um descalcifi cador adequado para recipientes de alimentos de uma
loja de pr

■ Depois de retirar o calcário, lave o aparelho muito bem com muita água
limpa.

Safety guidelines
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
► Ensure that the base containing the electrical connections NEVER
comes into contact with water! Allow the base to dry completely
if it accidentally becomes wet.
► Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp when
the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it cannot be
trapped or damaged in any way.
► To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/or power cables
replaced immediately by a qualifi ed specialist technician or our
Customer Service department.
► ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket after use.
Switching the appliance off is not suffi cient, because the appliance
is under power for as long as the plug is connected to the power
socket.
► Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage.
Do not operate a appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
► All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies
or by the Customer Service department. Failure to make proper
repairs can put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any warranty claim.
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! Risk
of electrocution if residual liquids come into contact with live
components during operation.

► Keep lid closed when boiling water, otherwise the automatic
switch-off cannot work. Boiling water could then spray out over
the rim.
► Bursts of hot steam may be released. The kettle also becomes
extremely hot during use. It is always best to wear oven mitts
when handling the kettle.
► Ensure that the appliance is stable and vertical before switching
it on. Boiling water can cause an unstable kettle to fall over.
► Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
► Appliances may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge
if they are supervised or have been instructed how to use the
appliance safely and have understood the potential risks.
► This appliance may be used by children aged 8years or over if
they are supervised or have been told how to use the appliance
safely and are aware of the potential risks. Cleaning and user
maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children unless they

Open the lid 1 by pressing on the lid release button 2.
2) Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX mark and let it come to a full
boil once – as described in the next section.
3) After it has boiled, pour this water away.
4) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.
5) Fill the appliance with water once again, up to the MAX mark, and then
bring it to boil. When done, pour this water away also.
6) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.

► Always ensure that the ON/OFF switch 3 is in the "O" position when the
mains plug is unplugged and the appliance is standing on the base 5. If
not, the appliance could heat up unintentionally as soon as the mains plug
is plugged in again.

to the boil, set the temperature control 6 to the MAX position in the boiling
range (area marked red on temperature control 6).
6) Now insert the plug into the mains power socket.
7) Press the ON/OFF switch 3 downwards so that it engages.

INFORMATION ON TEMPERATURE RANGES
Temperature control in boiling range:
– The appliance switches itself off and the control lamp 4 goes out as
soon as the water boils. The ON/OFF switch 3 fl ips up.

Temperature control in keep hot range:
– If you want to keep the water hot after boiling it, adjust the temperature
control 6 to the keep hot range (area marked black in temperature
control 6) and press the ON/OFF switch 3 downwards until it

You should use the keep hot function if you want to keep boiled water
hot, for example, to make fresh tea several times in succession.

Inserting/removing the scale fi lter insert

4) After cleaning, replace the scale fi lter insert 8. Ensure that the catch engages

Sicherheitshinweise
GEFAHR - ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Sockel mit den elektrischen Anschlüssen
niemals mit Wasser in Berührung kommt! Lassen Sie den Sockel erst
vollständig trocknen, wenn er versehentlich feucht geworden ist.
► Verwenden Sie den Wasserkocher nur mit dem mitgelieferten
Sockel.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals nass
oder feucht wird. Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht eingeklemmt
oder anderweitig beschädigt werden kann.
► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort von
autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen,
um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
► Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
Ausschalten alleine genügt nicht, weil noch immer Netzspannung
im Gerät anliegt, solange der Netzstecker in der Steckdose steckt.
► Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere, sichtbare
Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder heruntergefallenes Gerät
nicht in Betrieb.
► Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten Fachbe-
trieben oder dem Kundenservice durchführen. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen.
Zudem erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten! Hier kann Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag
entstehen, wenn im Betrieb Flüssigkeitsreste auf spannungsführende
Teile gelangen.

► Erhitzen Sie Wasser immer nur bei geschlossenem Deckel, andern-
falls funktioniert die Abschaltautomatik nicht. Kochendes Wasser
kann dann über den Rand herausspritzen.
► Es können heiße Dampfschwaden entweichen. Die Kanne ist zu-
dem im Betrieb sehr heiß. Tragen Sie daher Topf-Handschuhe.
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät stabil und
senkrecht steht, bevor Sie dieses einschalten. Kochendes Wasser
kann ein unstabil stehendes Gerät zum Umstürzen bringen.
► Öff nen Sie nicht den Deckel, während das Wasser kocht.
► Geräte können von Personen mit reduzierten physischen, sensori-
schen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/
oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und

ehren Sie kein Wasser, welches nicht als Trinkwasser ausgewiesen ist.

Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, überzeugen Sie sich davon, dass ...
– das Gerät, Netzstecker und Netzkabel in einwandfreiem Zustand sind
und...
– alle Verpackungsmaterialien vom Gerät entfernt sind.

Öff nen Sie den Deckel 1, indem Sie die Entriegelungstaste 2 drücken.
2) Befüllen Sie das Gerät mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung und lassen Sie
es einmal ganz aufkochen – wie im nächsten Kapitel beschrieben.
3) Gießen Sie dieses Wasser nach dem Aufkochen weg.
4) Spülen Sie die Kanne mit klarem Wasser aus.
5) Befüllen Sie das Gerät noch einmal mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung und
lassen Sie es aufkochen. Gießen Sie auch dieses Wasser weg.
6) Spülen Sie die Kanne mit klarem Wasser aus.
Das Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit.

Sockel 5, dass diese fest auf dem Sockel 5 steht.
5) Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler 6 in die gewünschte Stellung. Um das
Wasser zum Kochen zu bringen, müssen Sie den Temperaturregler 6 in den
Kochbereich (rot markierter Bereich am Temperaturregler 6) auf die Position
MAX stellen.
6) Stecken Sie nun den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.
7) Drücken Sie den EIN-/AUS-Schalter 3 nach unten, so dass er einrastet.
8) Die Betriebsleuchte 4 zeigt an, dass das Gerät nun aufheizt.

■ Reinigen Sie alle Außenfl ächen und das Netzkabel mit einem leicht ange-
feuchteten Spültuch. Trocknen Sie das Gerät auf jeden Fall gut ab, bevor Sie
es erneut verwenden. Bei hartnäckigeren Verschmutzungen geben Sie ein
mildes Spülmittel auf das Tuch. Achten Sie darauf, dass sich keine Spülmittelreste am und im Gerät befi nden, bevor Sie es wieder in Betrieb nehmen.
Bei Kalk-Rückständen
Kalkablagerungen im Gerät führen zu Energieverlusten und beeinträchtigen die
Lebensdauer des Gerätes.
Entkalken Sie das Gerät, sobald sich Kalkablagerungen zeigen.
■ Nehmen Sie vor dem Entkalken den Kalkfi ltereinsatz 8 her
“Kalkfi ltereinsatz abnehmen / einsetzen“).
■ Nehmen Sie einen für Lebensmittelbehälter geeigneten Kalklöser aus dem
