Consignes de sécurité

DANGER - RISQUE D'ÉLECTROCUTION!

► Assurez-vous que le socle avec ses raccords électriques n'entre

jamais en contact avec l'eau ! Laissez entièrement sécher le socle
s'il a été mouillé par inadvertance.

► Utilisez la bouilloire exclusivement avec le socle compris dans la

livraison.

► Veillez à ce que le cordon d'alimentation ne soit jamais mouillé

ou humide durant le fonctionnement. Disposez le cordon de
manière à éviter qu'il ne soit endommagé ou coincé.

► Faites immédiatement remplacer la fi che secteur ou le cordon

d'alimentation endommagé par des techniciens spécialisés
agréés ou par le service clientèle pour éviter tout risque.

► Après chaque utilisation, retirez toujours la fi che de la prise de

courant. Il ne suffi t pas d'arrêter l'appareil, car celui-ci est toujours
sous tension tant qu'il est branché.

► Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, vérifi ez que celui-ci ne présente aucun

dégât extérieur visible. Ne mettez pas en service un appareil
endommagé ou qui a chuté.

► Confi ez les réparations de l'appareil exclusivement à des entre-

prises agréées ou au service après-vente. Toute réparation non
conforme peut entraîner des risques pour l'utilisateur. À cela
s'ajoute l'annulation de la garantie.

N'immergez jamais l'appareil dans de l'eau ni dans d'autres
liquides ! Il y a danger de mort par électrocution si des restes
de liquide entrent en contact avec des pièces sous tension pen­dant le fonctionnement.

AVERTISSEMENT - RISQUE DE BLESSURE!

► Réchauff er l'eau uniquement lorsque le couvercle est fermé, sinon

le dispositif automatique de coupure ne fonctionnera pas.
De l'eau bouillante risque alors de déborder de la bouilloire.

► Des vapeurs brûlantes peuvent se dégager. De plus, la bouilloire

est brûlante pendant le fonctionnement. Portez par conséquent
des gants de cuisine.

► Assurez-vous que l'appareil est stable et à la verticale, avant

de le mettre en marche. Lorsque l'eau commence à bouillir, elle
peut entraîner la chute de l'appareil s'il n'est pas installé sur une
surface plane.

► N'ouvrez pas le couvercle pendant que l'eau bout.
► Les personnes ayant des capacités physiques, sensorielles ou

mentales réduites ou un manque d'expérience et de connaissances
pourront utiliser les appareils à condition qu'elles aient reçu une
supervision ou des instructions concernant I'utilisation de I'appareil
en toute sécurité et qu'elles comprennent les dangers encourus.

► Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants à partir de 8 ans

et plus à condition qu'ils aient reçu une supervision ou des ins­tructions concernant I’utilisation de I'appareil en toute sécurité

ATTENTION - RISQUE DE DOMMAGES MATÉRIELS!

► N'utilisez pas de minuterie externe ni de dispositif de commande

à distance séparé pour utiliser l'appareil.

► Ne laissez jamais l'appareil sans surveillance en cours d'opération.
► Assurez-vous que l'appareil, le cordon d'alimentation ou la fi che

secteur n'entrent pas en contact avec des sources chaudes telles
que des plaques de cuisson ou des fl ammes nues.

Préparatifs

Déballer l'appareil

♦ Sortez du carton toutes les pièces de l'appareil et le mode d'emploi.
♦ Retirez tous les matériaux d'emballage.

Élimination de l'emballage

L'emballage protège l'appareil de tous dommages éventuels au cours du transport.
Les matériaux d'emballage ont été sélectionnés selon des critères de respect
de l'environnement et de recyclage permettant une élimination écologique de
ceux-ci.

Le recyclage de l'emballage en fi lière de revalorisation permet d'économiser des
matières premières et de réduire le volume de déchets. Veuillez éliminer les maté­riaux d'emballage qui ne servent plus en respectant la réglementation locale.

REMARQUE

► Si possible, conservez l'emballage d'origine pendant la période de garantie

de l'appar

Mise en service

► Utilisez toujours exclusivement de l'eau potable fraîche dans la bouilloire !

Ne consommez sur
potable. Sinon, vous courrez le risque de mettre votre santé en péril !

Avant de mettre en service l'appareil, veuillez vous assurer que...

– L'appareil, la fi che secteur et le cordon d'alimentation sont en parfait

état et ...

– tous les matériaux d'emballage sont retirés de l'appareil.

Ouvrez le couvercle 1 en appuyant sur la touche de déverrouillage 2.

2) Remplissez l'appareil avec de l'eau jusqu'au repère MAX et amenez-la à
ébullition – comme décrit au chapitre suivant.

3) Jetez cette eau que vous venez de faire bouillir.

4) Rincez la bouilloire à l'eau claire.

5) Remplissez encore une fois l'appareil avec de l'eau jusqu'au repère MAX
et portez-la à ébullition. Jetez également cette eau.

6) Rincez la bouilloire à l'eau claire.

L'appareil est maintenant prêt à l'emploi.

► Ne jamais placer le socle électrique 5 à pr

► Utilisez toujours de l'eau potable fraîche. Ne consommez pas une eau se

ouvant depuis plus d'une heure dans la bouilloire. Ne faites pas bouillir

à nouveau de l'eau refroidie. Jetez toujours une eau qui n'est pas fraîche.
Des germes risquent de se former !

REMARQUE

► Veillez toujours à ce que le commutateur MARCHE/ARRÊT 3 soit placé

sur «O», lor
sur le socle 5. Sinon, l'appareil chauff e par inadvertance, dès que vous
branchez la fi che secteur sur le réseau électrique.

1) Retirez la bouilloire pour la remplir !

2) Ouvrez le couvercle 1 en appuyant sur la touche de déverrouillage 2.

REMARQUE

► Tenez la bouilloire à la verticale pendant que vous la remplissez.

– au moins jusqu'au repère MIN, afi n d'éviter toute surchauff e de l'appareil,
– au maximum jusqu'au repère MAX, afi n d'éviter tout débordement d'eau

Refermez le couvercle 1 et posez ensuite la bouilloire sur le socle 5, en
vérifi ant que celle-ci est bien en place sur le socle 5.

5) Réglez le régulateur de température 6 en position souhaitée. Pour amener
l'eau à ébullition, vous devez placer le régulateur de température 6 sur
la position MAX de la plage d'ébullition (plage marquée en rouge sur le
régulateur de température 6).

6) Branchez ensuite la fi che secteur dans la prise.

7) Appuyez le commutateur MARCHE/ARRÊT 3 vers le bas (il doit s'encliqueter)

8) Le témoin de fonctionnement 4 indique que l'appareil est en train de chauff er.

REMARQUES CONCERNANT LES PLAGES DE TEMPÉRATURE

Régulateur de température dans la plage de maintien
au chaud :

– Pour maintenir l'eau au chaud après ébullition, placez le régulateur de

température 6 dans la plage de maintien au chaud (plage marquée
en noir sur le régulateur de température 6) et appuyez le commuta­teur MARCHE/ARRÊT 3 vers le bas jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche et
que le témoin de fonctionnement 4 intégré s'allume.
La fonction de maintien au chaud peut être utilisée notamment pour
garder l'eau au chaud ou avoir de l'eau bouillante, pour préparer une
infusion de thé fraîche même plusieurs fois de suite.

Dans la plage de maintien au chaud, l'eau ne commence pas à bouillir !

– Une fois la température souhaitée atteinte, l'appareil coupe la procé-

Pour cette raison, ne laissez jamais l'appareil sans surveillance !

–Dès que vous levez la bouilloire du socle 5, le commutateur MAR

ARRÊT 3 reprend sa position initiale et le témoin de fonctionnement 4
intégré s'éteint.

– Afi n d'interrompre la période de chauff e, repoussez le commutateur

che/arrêt 3 vers le haut. Le témoin de fonctionnement 4 s'éteint

Ne placez pas le régulateur de température 6 sur la plage de
transition située entre la «plage de maintien au chaud» (noir)
et la «plage d'ébullition» (rouge), étant donné qu'en raison de
niveaux de remplissage diff érents, l'eau risque de commencer

► Cet appareil est équipé d'une protection de surchauff e : si l'appareil est mis

che de manière inopinée sans qu'il y ait de l'eau dans la bouilloire,

produits détergents sur et dans l'appareil avant de le remettre en service.

En cas de présence de restes de calcaire

Les dépôts de calcaire (tartre) dans l'appareil entraînent des pertes énergétiques
et raccourcissent la durée de vie de l'appareil.
Détartrer l'appareil dès qu'apparaissent des dépôts de calcaire.

■ Avant le détartrage, retirez le fi ltre antitartre 8 (v

tionner le fi ltre antitartre»).

■ Utilisez un détartrant approprié pour les conteneurs de produits alimentaires

(pr

oduit commercialisé dans un magasin d'équipements ménagers, détartrant
pour machine à café par exemple). Respecter les consignes d'utilisation du
détartrant.

■ Après le détartrage, rincer abondamment l'appareil à l'eau claire.

Retirer/poser le fi ltre antitartre

1) Ouvrez le couvercle 1.

2) Appuyez légèrement de l'intérieur contre l'arrêt placé en haut au centre et
tirez le fi ltre anti-tartre 8 vers le haut.

3) Nettoyez le fi ltre antitartre 8 avec un chiff on légèrement humide, rincez à
l'eau courante.

4) Remettez le fi ltre antitartre 8 en place après le nettoyage. Veillez à ce que
l'arrêt s'enclenche et que le fi ltre antitartre 8 soit bien installé.

où la garantie s'applique, veuillez appeler le service après-vente compétent.
Cette condition doit être respectée pour assurer l'expédition gratuite de votre
marchandise.

Le produit est destiné uniquement à un usage privé et ne répond pas à un usage
professionnel. La garantie est annulée en cas de manipulation incorrecte et

Sicherheitshinweise

GEFAHR - ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!

► Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Sockel mit den elektrischen Anschlüssen

niemals mit Wasser in Berührung kommt! Lassen Sie den Sockel erst
vollständig trocknen, wenn er versehentlich feucht geworden ist.

► Verwenden Sie den Wasserkocher nur mit dem mitgelieferten

Sockel.

► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals nass

oder feucht wird. Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht eingeklemmt
oder anderweitig beschädigt werden kann.

► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort von

autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen,
um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

► Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose.

Ausschalten alleine genügt nicht, weil noch immer Netzspannung
im Gerät anliegt, solange der Netzstecker in der Steckdose steckt.

► Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere, sichtbare

Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes oder heruntergefallenes Gerät
nicht in Betrieb.

► Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten Fachbe-

trieben oder dem Kundenservice durchführen. Durch unsachge­mäße Reparaturen können Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen.
Zudem erlischt der Garantieanspruch.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüs­sigkeiten! Hier kann Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag
entstehen, wenn im Betrieb Flüssigkeitsreste auf spannungsführende
Teile gelangen.

WARNUNG - VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!

► Erhitzen Sie Wasser immer nur bei geschlossenem Deckel, andern-

falls funktioniert die Abschaltautomatik nicht. Kochendes Wasser
kann dann über den Rand herausspritzen.

► Es können heiße Dampfschwaden entweichen. Die Kanne ist zu-

dem im Betrieb sehr heiß. Tragen Sie daher Topf-Handschuhe.

► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät stabil und

senkrecht steht, bevor Sie dieses einschalten. Kochendes Wasser
kann ein unstabil stehendes Gerät zum Umstürzen bringen.

► Öff nen Sie nicht den Deckel, während das Wasser kocht.
► Geräte können von Personen mit reduzierten physischen, sensori-

schen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/
oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüg­lich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und
die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben.

► Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber benutzt

werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt werden oder bezüglich des

wirksystem, um das Gerät zu betreiben.

► Lassen Sie das Gerät während des Betriebes niemals unbeauf-

sichtigt.

► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät, das Netzkabel oder der Netz-

stecker nicht mit heißen Quellen, wie Kochplatten oder off enen
Flammen, in Berührung kommen.

Vorbereitungen

Auspacken

♦ Entnehmen Sie alle Teile des Gerätes und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem

Karton.

♦ Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungs­materialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichts­punkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.

Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoff e und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungs­materialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.

ehren Sie kein Wasser, welches nicht als Trinkwasser ausgewiesen ist.

Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, überzeugen Sie sich davon, dass ...

– das Gerät, Netzstecker und Netzkabel in einwandfreiem Zustand sind

und...

– alle Verpackungsmaterialien vom Gerät entfernt sind.

Öff nen Sie den Deckel 1, indem Sie die Entriegelungstaste 2 drücken.

2) Befüllen Sie das Gerät mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung und lassen Sie
es einmal ganz aufkochen – wie im nächsten Kapitel beschrieben.

3) Gießen Sie dieses Wasser nach dem Aufkochen weg.

4) Spülen Sie die Kanne mit klarem Wasser aus.

5) Befüllen Sie das Gerät noch einmal mit Wasser bis zur MAX-Markierung und
lassen Sie es aufkochen. Gießen Sie auch dieses Wasser weg.

6) Spülen Sie die Kanne mit klarem Wasser aus.

Das Gerät ist nun betriebsbereit.

► Bringen Sie niemals den elektrischen Sockel 5 in die Nähe v

1) Nehmen Sie die Kanne ab zum Befüllen!

2) Öff nen Sie den Deckel 1, indem Sie die Entriegelungstaste 2 drücken.

HINWEIS

► Halten Sie beim Befüllen die Kanne senkrecht. Nur dann können Sie die

– mindestens bis zur MIN-Markierung, damit das Gerät nicht überhitzt,
– maximal bis zur MAX-Markierung, damit kein kochendes Wasser heraus

4) Schließen Sie erst den Deckel 1 und setzen danach die Kanne so auf den
Sockel 5, dass diese fest auf dem Sockel 5 steht.

5) Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler 6 in die gewünschte Stellung. Um das
Wasser zum Kochen zu bringen, müssen Sie den Temperaturregler 6 in den
Kochbereich (rot markierter Bereich am Temperaturregler 6) auf die Position
MAX stellen.

6) Stecken Sie nun den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.

7) Drücken Sie den EIN-/AUS-Schalter 3 nach unten, so dass er einrastet.

8) Die Betriebsleuchte 4 zeigt an, dass das Gerät nun aufheizt.

feuchteten Spültuch. Trocknen Sie das Gerät auf jeden Fall gut ab, bevor Sie
es erneut verwenden. Bei hartnäckigeren Verschmutzungen geben Sie ein
mildes Spülmittel auf das Tuch. Achten Sie darauf, dass sich keine Spülmittel­reste am und im Gerät befi nden, bevor Sie es wieder in Betrieb nehmen.

Bei Kalk-Rückständen

Kalkablagerungen im Gerät führen zu Energieverlusten und beeinträchtigen die
Lebensdauer des Gerätes.
Entkalken Sie das Gerät, sobald sich Kalkablagerungen zeigen.

■ Nehmen Sie vor dem Entkalken den Kalkfi ltereinsatz 8 her

Safety guidelines

DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!

► Ensure that the base containing the electrical connections NEVER

comes into contact with water! Allow the base to dry completely
if it accidentally becomes wet.

► Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp when

the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it cannot be
trapped or damaged in any way.

► To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/or power cables

replaced immediately by a qualifi ed specialist technician or our
Customer Service department.

► ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains power socket after use.

Switching the appliance off is not suffi cient, because the appliance
is under power for as long as the plug is connected to the power
socket.

► Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage.

Do not operate a appliance that has been damaged or dropped.

► All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies

or by the Customer Service department. Failure to make proper
repairs can put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any war­ranty claim.

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! Risk

of electrocution if residual liquids come into contact with live
components during operation.

► Keep lid closed when boiling water, otherwise the automatic

switch-off cannot work. Boiling water could then spray out over
the rim.

► Bursts of hot steam may be released. The kettle also becomes

extremely hot during use. It is always best to wear oven mitts
when handling the kettle.

► Ensure that the appliance is stable and vertical before switching

it on. Boiling water can cause an unstable kettle to fall over.

► Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
► Appliances may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge
if they are supervised or have been instructed how to use the
appliance safely and have understood the potential risks.

► This appliance may be used by children aged 8years or over if

they are supervised or have been told how to use the appliance
safely and are aware of the potential risks. Cleaning and user
maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children unless they
are aged 8 years or more and are supervised. The appliance and
its connecting cable must be kept away from children younger
than 8 years old.

reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
which are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

2) Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX mark and let it come to a full
boil once – as described in the next section.

3) After it has boiled, pour this water away.

4) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.

5) Fill the appliance with water once again, up to the MAX mark, and then
bring it to boil. When done, pour this water away also.

6) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.

► Always ensure that the ON/OFF switch 3 is in the "O" position when the

mains plug is unplugged and the appliance is standing on the base 5. If
not, the appliance could heat up unintentionally as soon as the mains plug
is plugged in again.

6) Now insert the plug into the mains power socket.

7) Press the ON/OFF switch 3 downwards so that it engages.

INFORMATION ON TEMPERATURE RANGES

Temperature control in boiling range:

– The appliance switches itself off and the control lamp 4 goes out as

– If you want to keep the water hot after boiling it, adjust the temperature

control 6 to the keep hot range (area marked black in temperature
control 6) and press the ON/OFF switch 3 downwards until it

You should use the keep hot function if you want to keep boiled water
hot, for example, to make fresh tea several times in succession.

The water does not start boiling in the keep hot range!

Descale the appliance as soon as scale deposits become apparent.
