Intended Use
This device is intended for heating water for house­hold use. It is not intended for use with other liquids or for commercial use.

To avoid the risk of fatalities from electric shocks:
• Make certain that the base twith the electrical connections never comes into contact with water! Let the base before using if it has accidentally become wet.
• Only use the hot water kettle with the supplied base

• Make sure that the power cord never becomes wet or damp during operation. Lay the cord such that it cannot be pinched or otherwise damaged.
• Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury.
• Always pull the plug out of the power socket after use. Switching off the device is not sufficient because the device receives power as long as the power plug is connected to the socket.
Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and the power plug are NEVER submersed in water or other fluids.

To prevent the risk of fire or injury:
• Always heat water with a closed lid q, otherwi­se the automatic cut-out mechanism doesn’t work. Boiling water can then spray out over the edge.
• Hot steam clouds may be released. The kettle is also very hot during operation. Wear oven mits.
• Make certain that the device rests firmly and ver­tically before switching it on. Boiling water can cause an unstabile kettle to fall over.
• Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance.

Starting Up the Device
• Before starting up the device, make certain that...
– the device, plug and power cable are in good
working order and...
– all packaging materials have been removed
from the device.
• Fill the device with water up to the MAX mark and let it come to a full boil once as described in the next section. Pour out this water.
Boiling Water
Danger! Never place the electrical base near water – life-threatening danger!
• You should only heat as much water as you need directly. That helps you save electricity, wa­ter and time:
• Lift away the kettle
• Open the lid king button
• Hold the kettle then will the level indicator correctly indicate the water volume.
Fill the kettle – at least to the MIN mark so that the device does
not overheat,
– no higher than the MAX mark so that no boiling
water spills out.
• First close the lid
• then place the kettle straight on the base
• Set the temperature controller position. To bring the water to a boil, you need to place the temperature controller king area at the MAX position.
• Now insert the power plug into the power socket and press the ON/OFF switch until it snaps in.
• The operating light now heating up.

Temperature regulator in the boiling range
• The devices switches off automatically and the operating light at a full boil. The ON/OFF switch
In order to keep the water warm after bringing it to a boil, set the temperature regulator warm range.
Press the ON/OFF switch edown, until it snaps in.

The left end of the keep warm range indicates the lower temperature. The right end of the keep warm range indicates the higher temperature. (The water does not start boiling in the keep warm range!).
• After reaching the desired temperature, the ap­pliance switches off the heating process. The ON/OFF switch remain switched on.

Because the device is equipped with a heat
maintenance function, the device automatically begins reheating as soon as the water tempe­rature falls below the set temperature. The appliance heats until the desired tempera­ture is reached. Make sure that the appliance does not automatically switch on to the keep warm function. Therefore, do not leave the appliance unsupervised!

Cleaning and Care
Danger!: Do not open any part of the
housing. There are no operating elements in­side. An open housing can create the risk of a life-threatening electrical shock.
Never submerse any parts of the device in water or other liquids! This can create the risk of a life-threatening electrical shock if residual liquid comes into contact with powered components.
Before cleaning the device, ....
• First pull the power plug out of the power socket and let the device cool completely.
• Clean the exterior surfaces and the power cord with a slighly damp cloth. Always dry the device well before using it again.
• Never use any cleansers, abbrasive substances or solvents. These can damage the device.
In the event of calcium deposits
• Purchase a decalcifying agent suitable for use with food containers from a household goods stores (e.g. coffee machine decalcifier).
• You can use a suitable product from a specialised dealer for the stainless steel container bottom.
Removing / replacing the spout screen
• Open the lid q completely.
• Press down on the edge of the spout screen from above in order to remove it toward the insi­de.
• Clean the spout screen moistened wash cloth.
• After cleaning, insert the spout screen above and press it firmly into place.

• Should the scale deposits in the pourer sieve be firmly settled, lay it in a water-vinegar solution, with a ratio of 6:1, for a few hours. The scale deposits will dissolve themselves. Rinse the pourer sieve
with lots of clear water.

Storage
Let the device cool completely before storing it.
• Wind the power cord around the holder on the bottom of the device.
• Store the device in a dry place.
Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European guideline 2002/96/EC.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis­posal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly manner.
Warranty & Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been ma­nufactured with care and meticulously examined be­fore delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our Service Depart­ment. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, but not for transport dama­ge, for wearing parts or for damage to fragile com­ponents, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampe­ring not carried out by our authorized service branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period will not be extended by repairs made under warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts. Any damage and defects extant on purchase must be reported immediately after un­packing the appliance, at the latest, two days after the purchase date. Repairs made after the expira­tion of the warranty period are subject to payment.

Da biste izbjegli opasnost po život uslijed strujnog udara:

Puštanje u rad

• Uređaj napunite sa vodom do oznake MAX, te vodu jednom prokuhajte, kao što je opisano u slijedećem poglavlju. Ovu vodu prospite.

Opasnost: Nikada električno postolje ne do­vedite u blizinu vode - opasnost po život!
Upozorenje: Izvucite mrežni utikač iz utičnice, prije nego što posudu ja

. Time ćete spriječiti, da voda dospije na električne vodove u postolju i izazove kratki spoj.
Iz sigurnosnih razloga ne biste trebali otvara­ti poklopac jako vruća. U protivnom postoji opasnost od ozljede.

Trebate zagrijati samo toliko vode, koliko Vam je u datom trenutku potrebno.Tako je omogućena ušte­da struje, vode i vremena:
• Skinite posudu
• Otvorite poklopac tipku za deblokadu
• Prilikom punjenja držite posudu Samo tako bočni pokazivač razine vode ispravan način može prikazati količinu vode.
Napunite posudu – najmanje do oznake MIN, kako se uređaj ne bi
pregrijao,
– najviše do oznake MAX, kako ne bi izlazila
kipuća voda.
• Prvo zatvorite poklopac
• a zatim postavite posudu dok ona ne stoji sasvim ravno na postolju
• Postavite regulator temperature ložaj. Da biste vodu prokuhali, regulator tempe­rature

Regulator temperature u području kuhanja
• Uređaj se samostalno isključuje i signalna lampi­ca

Da biste vodu držali zagrijanu i nakon kuhanja, postavite regulator temperature y u područje održ­avanja topline.

postavite u prijelazno područje, jer bi uslijed različitih razina napunjenosti voda mogla prokuhati.
Čišćenje i održavanje
Pritisnite prekidač UKLJ./ISKLJ. e prema dolje, dok ne ulegne.
Regulator temperature u području održavanja topline
Lijevi kraj područja održavanja temperature označ­ava nisku temperaturu. Desni kraj područja održa­vanja temperature označava visoku temperaturu. (Voda u području održavanja temperature ne počinje ključati!).
• Nakon postizanja željene temperature uređaj isključuje postupak grijanja. Prekidač UKLJ./ISKLJ. uključeni.

Pošto je uređaj opremljen funkcijom za održa-
vanje temperature, on automatski počinje sa zagrijavanjem, čim temperatura padne ispod željene razine. Uređaj toliko dugo vrši dodat­no zagrijavanje, sve dok željena temperatura ponovo ne bude postignuta.Obratite pažnju na to, da se uređaj u funkciji održavanja tem­perature ne isključuje samostalno. Iz tog razlo­ga uređaj nikada ne ostavite bez nadzora!
Opasnost: Nikada ne otvarajte dijelove kućiš­ta. U njemu se ne nalaze elementi za ruko­vanje. Pri otvorenom kućištu može doći do opasnosti po život uslijed strujnog udara.
Dijelove uređaja nikada ne smijete uroniti u vodu ili u drugu vrstu tekućine! Moglo bi doći do opasnosti po život uslijed strujnog udara, kada za vrijeme rada uređaja tekućina dospi­je na dijelove, koji se nalaze pod naponom.
Prije nego što čistite uređaj, ....
• izvucite mrežni utikač iz utičnice i ostavite uređaj da se ohladi.
• Očistite sve vanjske površine i mrežni kabel sa blago navlaženom krpom za suđe. U svakom slučaju dobro osušite uređaj, prije nego što ga ponovo upotrebljavate.
• Ne koristite sredstva za čišćenje, agresivna sredstva ili otapala. Takva sredstva bi mogla dovesti do oštećenja uređaja.
U slučaju naslaga vapnenca
• Upotrijebite sredstvo za otapanje kamenca neš­kodljivo za namirnice, koje ćete naći u trgovini sa predmetima za pokućstvo (n.pr. sredstvo za odstranjivanje kamenca aparata za kavu).
• Čim posudu prekidač UKLJ./ISKLJ. će se ugasiti.
• Da biste prekinuli zagrijavanje, gurnite prekidač UKLJ./ISKL. lampica
u skinete sa postolja t, iskočiti će
e i signalna lampica r
e ponovo prema gore. Signalna
r tada će se također ugasiti.
• Za dno uređaja od plemenitog čelika možete koristiti prikladno sredstvo iz stručne trgovine.
