You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important information on safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use this product only as described and only for the specifi ed areas of application. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future owner(s).
Proper use
This appliance is intended exclusively for grilling and heating food indoors. This appliance is in­tended exclusively for use in domestic households. Not to be used for commercial purposes.

Information about this appliance
“Teppanyaki” is a style of Japanese cuisine. Traditionally, these meals are prepared directly on the table using a hot steel plate (“Teppan”).
The possibilities are wide-ranging – pre-cooked pasta, meat, fi sh, vegetables or dumplings can be prepared.

Safety instructions
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables
to be replaced at once by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.
Protect the power cable against contact with heated appliance
parts. NEVER use the appliance adjacent to open fl ames, a hotplate or a heated oven.
Do not expose the appliance to rain and never use it in a humid
or wet environment. Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or moist during operation.
Before use, check the appliance for visible external damage.
Do not use an appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
Before using the appliance for the fi rst time and after each cleaning,
check to ensure that the plug contacts on the griddle are dry.
The power cable must be checked for signs of damage at regular
intervals. If the power cable is damaged, the appliance may no longer be used.

The appliance must be connected to a mains socket with a pro-
tective earth.
The appliance must not come into contact with moisture such as
rain or water.
NEVER immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! You could receive a fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with live components during operation.

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8 years or
more and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are being supervised or have been instructed with regard to the safe use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks.
Children must not play with the appliance.Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by
children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised.
Children younger than 8 years of age are to be kept away from
the appliance and the power cable.
After use, allow the appliance to cool down completely before
cleaning it. There is a risk of burns!
If possible, set up the appliance in the immediate vicinity of an
electrical power socket. Ensure that the power plug is quickly reachable in case of danger, and also that there is no danger of tripping over the cable.
Provide a stable location for the appliance.
Caution! Hot surface!
During operation touch only the heat-insulated handles and
the temperature regulator. The upper surfaces of the appliance become very hot during use.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control
system to operate the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.Ensure that the appliance, the power cable or the plug do not
come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or open fl ames.
Do not use charcoal or similar fuels to operate the appliance!To protect the non-stick coating, do not use metallic tools such as
knives, forks, etc. Should the non-stick coating become damaged, discontinue use of the appliance.
Only operate the appliance using the thermostat supplied.
Only use original accessories.

Assembly and setting up

WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
Never place the appliance underneath wall
cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard walls or other fl ammable objects.
Place the appliance only on a heat-resistant
surface.
1) Take all the parts out of the box and remove the packaging material and any protective wrapping.
2) Clean all of the components as described in the section “Cleaning and care”. Ensure that all parts are completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, clean and level surface. Ensure that you do not place the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard.
4) Push the fat drip tray 3 into the guide rails on the underside of the appliance.
5) Push the thermostat 5 into the socket 1 on the appliance. Ensure that the temperature regulator 7 is always set to “0” before you connect the thermostat to the socket 1.
6) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Before fi rst use
1) Lightly grease the griddle 4 with fat or oil that is suitable for baking/grilling. This allows any cooking residues on the griddle 4 to be more easily removed.
2) Set the thermostat 5 to level 5 and allow the appliance to heat up for 5 minutes.
3) After 5 minutes,turn the temperature regulator 7 back to level 0.
4) Then disconnect the plug and allow the appli­ance to cool down.
NOTE
The fi rst time the appliance heats up a small
amount of smoke and smell may be gener­ated, caused by production residues. This is completely normal and is not dangerous. Ensure suffi cient ventilation; for example, open a window.
5) Wipe the griddle 4 with a moist cloth. Ensure that all parts are completely dry before operating the appliance.
The appliance is now ready for use.
Thermostat settings
Level 0: Grill switched off Level > 0 - 1: grill switched on;
low temperature
Level 1 - 3: grill switched on; medium
temperature (e.g. vegetables)
Level 3 - 5: grill switched on;
high temperature (e.g. meat)
Operation
WARNING!
THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY!
Once the appliance is in operation, touch
it only using the handles or the temperature regulator 7. There is a risk of burns!
Once the fat drip tray 3 has been pushed in, the thermostat 5 has been connected to the socket 1 and the mains plug has been connected to the power supply:
1) Adjust the temperature regulator 7 to the de- sired temperature level. The indicator lamp 6 illuminates. When the set temperature has been reached, the temperature indicator lamp 6 goes out.

NOTE
The indicator lamp 6 illuminates while the
appliance is heating up to the set temperature level. When the temperature level has been reached, the indicator lamp 6 goes out. However, this can always illuminate and go out again. This indicates that the set tempera­ture has briefl y fallen and the appliance is heating itself back up.
2) Apply a little vegetable oil to the griddle 4.
NOTE
Excess fat or other fl uids will run into the fat
drip tray 3!
3) Place the food to be grilled on the griddle 4. Turn the food over after a while, as required.
4) Remove the food from the griddle 4 with the help of heat-resistant plastic or wooden implements (e.g. a wooden spatula 8) once it is ready.
5) Turn the thermostat 5 to “0”.
6) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
Cleaning and care
DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect
the plug from the mains power socket! Risk of electric shock!
Always remove the thermostat 5 from the
socket 1 before cleaning the appliance.
NEVER immerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
WARNING!
THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY!
Always allow the appliance to cool down
before cleaning it. Otherwise there is a risk of burns!
ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning
materials. These could damage the surfaces!
Use a wooden spatula 8 to push any excess
fat or liquid through the outlet 2 into the fat drip tray 3. Wipe up any remaining fat using a kitchen towel.
Wipe the griddle 4 with a moist cloth.
NOTE
If any stubborn residue should still adhere to
the griddle 4, use a little detergent. After this, wipe the griddle 4 with clean water. Ensure that no detergent residues remain on the griddle 4.
If you have used detergent to clean the
griddle 4, make sure that you rub it lightly with oil afterwards!
Clean the thermostat 5 with a moist cloth.
For stubborn residues use a mild detergent on the cloth. Ensure that the thermostat 5 is completely dry before operating it again.
Clean the wooden spatula 8 and the fat
drip tray 3 in warm water. Add a little mild detergent. Rinse all the parts off using clean water. Ensure that all parts are dry before reusing.
NOTE
The fat drip tray 3 can be cleaned in a
dishwasher.
Storage
Store the cleaned appliance in a clean, dust-free
and dry location.

Troubleshooting

Defect Cause Solution
The mains plug is not connected to the mains power.
The appliance is not
working.
The fat is not running into the fat drip tray 3.
The indicator
lamp 6 is illuminat-
ing and going out

If the malfunction cannot be corrected with the above suggestions, or if you have determined that the malfunction may have other causes, please contact our Customer Service.
The mains power socket is defective.
The appliance is defective.
The thermostat 5 has not been correctly inserted into the socket 1.
The appliance is not standing level.
The appliance is maintaining the set tem­perature level. To do this, it has to heat up briefl y every so often.
The appliance has now reached the set temperature.
The thermostat 5 is not inserted into a mains power socket.
The appliance is defective.
Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Use a diff erent mains power socket.
In this case, contact Customer Services.
Push the thermostat 5 into the socket 1.
Place the appliance on a level surface.

Warranty and Service
The warranty provided for this appliance is 3 years from the date of purchase. This appliance has been manufactured with care and inspected meticulously prior to delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please contact your Customer Service by telephone. This is the only way to guarantee free return of your goods.
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile compo­nents, e.g. switches or batteries. This appliance is intended solely for private use and not for com­mercial purposes.
The warranty is deemed void if this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate han­dling, abuse or modifi cations that were not carried out by one of our authorised service centres.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs made under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, or no later than two days after the date of purchase. Repairs made after expiry of the warranty period are chargeable.
Disposal
Never dispose of the appliance
in normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Please observe the currently applicable regula­tions. Please contact your waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt.
The packaging is made from environ-
mentally friendly material and can be disposed of at your local recycling plant.

Time ste se odlučili za visokovrijedan proizvod. Upu­te za rukovanje predstavljaju sastavni dio ovog pro­izvoda. One sadrže važne napomene za sigurnost, rukovanje i zbrinjavanje. Prije uporabe uređaja upoznajte se sa svim pripadajućim napomenama za uporabu i svim sigurnosnim napomenama. Proizvod koristite isključivo na opisani način i u navedenim područjima uporabe. U slučaju predaje proizvoda trećim osobama priložite i predajte i svu dokumentaciju.
Namjenska uporaba
Ovaj uređaj služi isključivo za roštiljanje i priprav­ljanje živežnih namirnica u zatvorenom prostoru. Ovaj je uređaj namijenjen isključivo za uporabu u privatnim domaćinstvima. Ne koristite ga u gospo­darske svrhe.

„Teppanyaki“ su vrsta jela iz japanske kuhinje. Tradicionalno se ova jela pripremaju na vrućoj čeličnoj ploči ("Teppan"), neposredno za stolom.
Pritom postoje razne mogućnosti; možete pripremiti unaprijed skuhanu tjesteninu, meso, ribu, povrće ili tjesteninu.

Sigurnosne napomene
OPASNOST – STRUJNI UDAR!
Oštećene mrežne utikače i kabele obavezno dajte zamijeniti od
strane ovlaštenog stručnog osoblja ili od strane servisa za kupce, kako biste izbjegli nastanak opasnosti.
Mrežne vodove zaštitite od kontakta s vrućim dijelovima uređaja.
Uređaj nikada ne koristite u blizini otvorenog plamena, vruće ploče štednjaka ili pećnice.
Uređaj ne izlažite kiši i ne koristite ga u vlažnom ili mokrom
okruženju. Obratite pažnju na to da mrežni kabel za vrijeme rada uređaja nikada ne bude mokar ili vlažan.
Uređaj prije uporabe provjerite kako biste ustanovili eventualna
vidljiva vanjska oštećenja. Ne koristite oštećen uređaj ili uređaj koji je pao.
Prije puštanja uređaja u rad i nakon svakoga čišćenja uređaja
provjerite jesu li kontakti na ploči za roštiljanje suhi.
Mrežni kabel treba redovito pregledavati kako biste ustanovili,
postoje li znakovi oštećenja. Ukoliko je mrežni kabel oštećen, uređaj se više ne smije koristiti.

Uređaj se mora priključiti na utičnicu sa zaštitnim vodom. Uređaj ne smije doći u dodir s vlagom, primjerice kišom ili vodom.
Uređaj nikada ne uranjajte u vodu ili u druge tekućine! Može doći do opasnosti po život uslijed strujnog udara ako za vrijeme rada uređaja tekućina dospije na dijelove pod naponom.

UPOZORENJE – OPASNOST OD OZLJEDA!
Djeca od navršene 8. godine života kao i osobe sa smanjenim
fi zičkim, senzornim ili mentalnim sposobnostima ili nedostatkom iskustva i/ili znanja uređaj smiju koristiti samo ako su pod nadzo­rom, ili ako su primile i razumjele upute o uporabi uređaja, kao i opasnosti koje proizlaze iz uporabe uređaja.
Djeca se ne smiju igrati uređajem.Čišćenje i održavanje od strane korisnika ne smiju obavljati djeca
ukoliko nisu navršila 8 godina starosti i ako nisu pod nadzorom.
Djecu mlađu od 8 godina treba držati dalje od uređaja i priključ-
nog voda.
Uređaj nakon rada ostavite da se dobro ohladi, prije nego što
ga krenete čistiti! Opasnost od opeklina!
Uređaj po mogućnosti postavite u blizini utičnice. Pobrinite se za
to da mrežni utikač u slučaju opasnosti bude brzo dostupan, te da se nitko ne može spotaknuti preko kabela.
Osigurajte sigurno postolje uređaja.
Oprez! Vruća površina!
Za vrijeme rada uređaja dodirujte samo termički izolirane ručke i
regulator temperature. Površine uređaja za vrijeme rada postaju vrlo vruće.

OPREZ – OŠTEĆENJE PROIZVODA!
Ne koristite vanjski uklopni sat ili posebne daljinske sustave za
upravljanje uređajem.
Uređaj za vrijeme rada nikada ne ostavljajte bez nadzora.Pazite da uređaj, mrežni kabel ili mrežni utikač ne dođu u dodir
s izvorima topline kao što su ploče štednjaka ili otvoreni plamen.
Ne koristite ugljen niti slične vrste goriva za pogon ovog uređaja!Sloj protiv lijepljenja zaštitite tako da ne koristite metalni pribor
poput noževa, vilica, i sl. Ako se ošteti sloj protiv lijepljenja, pre­stanite upotrebljavati uređaj.
Uređaj koristite isključivo s isporučenim termostatom. Koristite
isključivo originalni pribor.

Sastavljanje i postavljanje

OPASNOST OD POŽARA!

Uređaj nikada ne stavljajte pod viseće ormariće
ili pokraj zavjesa, zidnih ormara ili drugih za­paljivih predmeta.
Uređaj po potrebi postavite na podlogu
otpornu na visoke temperature.
1) Izvadite sve dijelove iz kartona i odstranite ambalažu te eventualne zaštitne folije.
2) Očistite sve dijelove na način opisan u poglavlju "Čišćenje i održavanje". Uvjerite se da su svi dijelovi potpuno suhi.
3) Uređaj postavite na čistu i ravnu površinu ot­pornu na visoke temperature. Pritom pripazite da uređaj ne postavite neposredno do zida ili ormara.
4) Gurnite posudu za prihvat masnoće 3 u šine na donjoj strani uređaja.
5) Gurnite termostat 5 u utičnicu 1 na uređaju. Obratite pažnju na to da regulator tempera­ture 7 uvijek bude postavljen u položaju „0“ prije nego što temostat povežete s utičnicom 1.
6) Mrežni utikač utaknite u utičnicu.
Prije prve uporabe
1) Ploču za roštiljanje 4 lagano namastite sa masnoćom ili uljem prikladnim za pečenje/ roštiljanje. Tako će se lakše odstraniti eventualne tvorničke naslage na ploči za roštiljanje 4.
2) Postavite termostat 5 na stupanj 5 i uređaj pustite da se zagrijava 5 minuta.
3) Nakon 5 minuta,regulator temperature 7 ponovno okrenite na stupanj 0.
4) Ponovno izvucite utikač i ostavite uređaj da se ohladi.
NAPOMENA
Kod prvog zagrijavanja uređaja uslijed
postojanja naslaga preostalih prilikom izrade uređaja može doći do laganog dimljenja i pojave mirisa. To je sasvim normalna i potpu­no bezopasna pojava. Osigurajte dostatno prozračivanje, primjerice otvorite prozor.
5) Prebrišite ploču za roštiljanje 4 pomoću vlaž­ne krpe. Osigurajte da su svi dijelovi potpuno osušeni prije nego što uređaj pustite u rad.
Uređaj je sada spreman za rad.

Stupanj 0: Roštilj isključen Stupanj > 0 - 1: Roštilj uključen, niska
temperatura
Stupanj 1 - 3: Roštilj uključen, srednja
temperatura (npr. povrće)
Stupanj 3 - 5: Roštilj uključen, visoka
temperatura (npr. meso)

Nakon što je zdjela za prihvat masnoće 3 umet­nuta, termostat 5 gurnut u utičnicu 1 i mrežni utikač povezan sa strujnom mrežom:
1) Postavite regulator temperature 7 na željeni stupanj temperature. Kontrolna lampica 6 se pali. Kada se kontrolna lampica 6 ugasi, podešena temperatura je dostignuta.
